Complaint: To Whom It May Concern, My mortgage loan was recently transferred to Caliber Home Loans on XXXX XXXX, 2015. I have received nothing but conflicting information since they took over from XXXX XXXX XXXX. My first experience is when I called to request a payoff. I was told it would take XXXX hours to generate but my balance was well below {$3000.00}. This was around XXXX XXXX. I secured the funds and called back to payoff my loan. I was then told I owed up to {$8000.00}. The customer service representative indicated I was given wrong information and requested another payoff. I went ahead and paid the {$3000.00} to avoid any foreclosure proceedings against me. I just checked my account online and it also indicates that I have a balance of {$5200.00} ; however the latest payoff I received shows {$2200.00}. ( Attachment enclosed ). The payoff indicates the amount to payoff my loan and release the lien ; however, I just checked the records for XXXX XXXX and the only activity has been the release of lien from XXXX XXXX XXXX. I do n't show any lien recorded from Caliber Home Loans to secure the lien on my property. As a result of the miscommunication and lack of a Deed of Trust, I am requesting Caliber Home Loans release my account as paid in full. I am also requesting they forward me documentation that they do indeed have a right to my property. Thank you, XXXX XXXX

Complaint: Caliber Home Loans holds my mortgage. In XXXX 2015, they overpaid my state and local property taxes, resulting in an account deficit, and have for months refused to issue the appropriate refund. Due to Caliber 's error I have lost accrued interest and now my escrow amount due was recently increased to my detriment and through no fault of my own. See this e-mail thread for a summary of the problem : Thanks, XXXX. I greatly appreciate your time. Please find a full accounting attached. Please note, that I pay taxes on the unit and the parking space separately, hence the XXXX line items. Respectfully, XXXX and the involved Caliber folks are mistaken. Please escalate this as you see fit. At closing, the following payments were made ( see attached HUD-1 ) : Closing - {$1700.00} of {$2500.00} annual tax assessment ( {$1200.00} due XXXX XXXX and {$1200.00} due XXXX XXXX ) Closing - {$190.00} of {$330.00} annual tax assessment ( {$160.00} due XXXX XXXX and {$160.00} due XXXX XXXX ) After closing, in total, I owed the county {$780.00} ( {$2500.00} - {$1700.00} ) and {$140.00} ( {$330.00} - {$190.00} ). Please note, that had I not paid taxes at settlement, Caliber 's payments would have been proper. Unfortunately, Caliber overpaid as follows ( see attached Caliber Escrow Report ). XXXX - {$1200.00} XXXX - {$160.00} Therefore, exclusive of lost earned interest, I am owed a refund of : {$480.00} ( {$1200.00} - {$780.00} ) and {$21.00} ( {$160.00} - {$140.00} ) Moreover, according to the online Caliber portal, Caliber intends to distribute even more funds in XXXX ( see attached Caliber Escrow Report ). Complaint: I had a Real Estate mortgage with XXXX in XXXX. In XXXX I filed for Chapter XXXX Bankruptcy. In the Chapter XXXX Bankruptcy I surrendered the Real Estate Property to XXXX, the bankruptcy was discharged in XXXX, XXXX. In XXXX Caliber Home Loans, Inc. bought the Real Estate Loan from XXXX. In XXXX, XXXX I began receiving late statements from Caliber Home Loans. I had contacted Caliber asking that they stop sending me statements, that the loan was surrendered in Bankruptcy. I had gone to court on one occassion and informed the representative of Caliber Loans that we had surrendered the property. The attorney 's office was to inform Caliber. Caliber stopped sending statements. However, Caliber was reporting late payments on my credit reports. I called Caliber and told them that they could not report late payments on my report due to the Bankruptcy rule and gave them my case number. They actually refused over the telephone. As of XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, the Account Status on my XXXX Report was " OPEN '' and Payment Status was " LATE. '' Although Caliber Home Loans flagged my credit report on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and states " account as BANK ADJUSTMENT / DEED IN LIU / BANK LIQUIDATION '' my Credit XXXX score is and has been affected all these months due to their negative reporting.

Complaint: I filed for Chapter XXXX Bankruptcy in XXXX. In the Bankruptcy my home loan mortgage with XXXX was included. This debt was discharged in late XXXX. In XXXX the loan that was discharged in my Bankruptcy in XXXX was sold to Caliber Home Loans. Caliber Home Loans began reporting late payments on my credit report in XXXX and throughout XXXX. I contacted Caliber Home Loans and asked them to stop reporting late payments on my credit reports. I supplied proof of the Bankruptcy discharge to Caliber Home Loans and their attorney, XXXX XXXX XXXX. I explained that I never entered into any loan contract with Caliber Home Loans. They refused to remove the negative information from my credit reports. The loan shows on my credit report as closed. I would like to have Caliber Home Loans entire report to the XXXX credit bureau 's removed from my files as the reporting of late payments has affected my credit score for 2 years.

Since then I have received a whole packet of the same information that I have received in the past. This name appears on " Assignment Of Deed Of Trust '' dated XX/XX/XXXX and filed in North Carolina Register of Deeds office in the County of XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX By XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX with Caliber Home Loans Inc. ( As Attorney in Fact ). My questions to Caliber Homes is ( 1 ) Who was XXXX working for at the time and dates in question? ( 2 ) Does Caliber Homes have in there records a " Certificate of Incumbency '', Corporate Resolution, Power of Attorney, etc. for this person regardless of who they worked for at the time and dates in question? ( 3 ) Will Caliber Home Loans, Inc. forward that information to me ASAP?

Complaint: I have been declined for fraudulent reasons by Caliber home loans. I have been trying for months to get a loan modification. I am over my hardship. Caliber is now declining me because I 'm over my hardship and back on my feet. They state I make to much money. They are also declining me based on FRAUD appraisal of my property. They state I have a LTV of 70 %. I have spoken to a licensed appraiser and a real estate agent. They value the Caliber is using is 100 % fraud. I thought that the lenders in America would learn from the greed and mistakes from the mortgage crash of 2008. Caliber is clearly acting like a predatory lender.

Complaint: Hi, I have been trying to get my mortgage modified since XXXX. My servicer is Caliber Home Loans. My uncle co-signed my loan when I purchased my house. I was told by XXXX XXXX, my Caliber representative to have a quit claim deed filed removing him which I did in XXXX. My uncle does n't live in the property and does n't contribute to my household. I have submitted XXXX loan modification applications. I am also working with a HUD counseling agency. The very last modification that was submitted she thought we had worked out this issue regarding my uncle and the quit claim deed. They continually ask for either his financial information or the quit claim deed. I have submitted the quit claim deed numerous times. When my counselor called Caliber and spoke to their representative XXXX ID XXXX she explained the whole situation. XXXX stated that they could n't see the transfer of title. They each pulled up a copy of the deed and the counselor showed the Caliber representative exactly where the transfer was. XXXX stated she understood and could see it and would show underwriting and have the file escalated. XXXX advised the counselor to call her back in a few days ( XXXX XXXX ) When my counselor called XXXX back a couple days later for a resolution XXXX did n't pick up the phone so the counselor left a message. XXXX never called her back so the counselor called again and was told the file was denied because they never received the quit claim deed or my uncle 's financial information. This is very frustrating as I feel as if this is being done on purpose. I have submitted the complete package to them again today with a letter explaining the deed transfer.

Complaint: I would like to begin by thanking you for your time and attention to address my concerns. This letter is to explain my recent financial difficulty with paying my mortgage. It started 2013 when I learned my mortgage was increased from {$700.00} to {$1900.00} which is a significant increase. This was done without any notice that an increase was going to occur. This caused late payments associated with late fees to my account. I have to mention that I have not received the kind of assistance with saving my home I deserve. I was n't provide all the information regarding loan modification, debt forgiveness, or short refinance which would have certainly taken my loan from inflated to XXXX more manageable within the fair market value of my home. During the time I considered a short sale your on appraiser listed the value of the property as {$80000.00} when I owe at least {$200000.00}. Being that I currently reside in the home it would make more sense to work a person living there than to have it vacant. It seems that there has been a personal attack against me and discriminatory practices by Caliber against XXXX XXXX citizens. When I was in court going through the chapter XXXX deposition a young XXXX female explained to the court recorder that she was forced to surrender her property which was secured by a loan from your Caliber Home Loans as a condition of her bankruptcy. I 'm also aware that a class action lawsuit was filed against Caliber Home Loans Mortgage which has been and still is associated with my account. I am seeking Loan Forgiveness, or a mortgage that is in proper standings with a fair market value of my home. As with many people today, it is difficult to maintain a reasonable standard of economic viability when dealing with predatory lenders. Complaint: In XXXX 2015 I submitted all documents to apply for a HAMP with Caliber Home Loans. There has been numerous correspondence with Caliber by phone, email, upload of documents and viewing the website for updates on where we stand. Now five months later on XXXX XXXX one of there XXXX reps stated they will not except the numerous additional documents I uploaded to my caliber account. They stated the documents could not be pictures of them uploaded as I did with many of the most recent ones, going back to XXXX. As I understood, I asked why on XXXX XXXX is it the first time I was made aware of this. Many other XXXX have viewed these documents as I wanted to verify they received them, and only once did a XXXX have me resend a paystub, that he could not read, using this same method as I was on the phone with him. This XXXX received the paystub as I was still on the phone with him and viewed it and confirmed it was received and legable. On XXXX XXXX I then scanned the whole package along with more than requested paystubs to pdf files and emailed them to the email provided for loan modification documents. On XXXX XXXX, 8 days later, I received a letter from caliber stating we were denied the loan modification with a denial reason, that I did not provide caliber with the documents requested. Also I could appeal there decision by XXXX/XXXX/2015, which is 9 days from now. Unfortunately the communication piece is difficult as you are not speaking with underwriting who are handling all the documents. There was never a time lapse of more than a week in providing documents requested. I did have to call on many occasions to let them know the documents were there and had been there for 1-2 weeks. In the beginning of this process our overdue balance was XXXX and our full monthly payments were denied and returned to us resulting in a overdue balance of XXXX. This is my home that I take very serious and would like to resolve my debt more than anyone. My local HUD counselor advised that I file this complaint.
