Complaint: I paid Caliber Home Loans {$100.00} for a Broker Price Opinion ( BPO ) to see if I was eligible for PMI removal from my mortgage. On Thursday XX/XX/XXXX a broker came to my house to inspect the property to complete the price opinion I ordered. When I requested a copy of the documents completed by the broker a different broker who had not been the one to inspect the property had certified that they had personally inspected the property on XX/XX/XXXX.
XX/XX/XXXX : I made a written complaint to Caliber Home Loans on XX/XX/XXXX regarding the accuracy of the BPO as well as my concern that the BPO was completed by a broker who had not actually inspected the property and certified that they had. They also listed the wrong date of the inspection further proving the inaccuracy of the document.
XX/XX/XXXX : I called Caliber Home Loans to follow up on my written complaint. They said that my complaint was not complete because I did not provide receipts and photos of improvements to the property and that I had not provided three comparable properties to dispute the outcome of the BPO. I contended that I did not need to because the document I was contesting was falsified. Caliber Home Loans said they would call me back the next day at XXXX PST.
XX/XX/XXXX: After waiting 2.5 hours after the appointed time for the call from Caliber I called them. They said that the issue was closed because I did not provide the receipts, photos and list of comparable properties despite my protest that the document in question was falsified and that should be enough to merit repeating the BPO.
My complaint is that Caliber Home Loans is using a falsified document to refuse to remove my PMI requirement for my loan.

Complaint: XXXX XX/XX/XXXX Thanks for your response to the complaint and for the opportunity to appeal Since I was not agreed with the answer regarding the shortage letter and the PMI removal issue, I am making a more sustained complaint appealing to you hoping this time got a fair solution to the problem.
I was collecting information from different sources to better support my complaint.
I requested a Closing Packet to Caliber Home Loans in XXXX XXXX. It took so long and other weird things happen during the delivery but finally I received almost together Two Closing Packets. I was expecting an addendum to the closing like stated in the original mortgage documents but no the HUD-1 Settlement Statement was matching the original mortgaged documents received for me at XX/XX/XXXX without XXXX XXXX signature. ( No way to see the real and final form, never have been sent to me ). Also, no documents stating that I have XXXX XXXX Mortgage.
I was told the home was a bank owned house, a Caliber Home Loans/Bank house.
I was told by a Caliber Home Loan customer service representative that my loan never has been sold. No documents, nobody told at any time that I was applying for a XXXX XXXX Mortgage, no documents stating in the original mortgage documents neither in the Closing Packets sent from Caliber Home loans recently.
I was looking for some advice to understand the escrow account. I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX, President/CEO of XXXX Agency. Agency in charge of my escrow account, XXXX XXXX XXXX. He delegates in XXXX XXXX and Finally was XXXX XXXX who had a new Closing Mortgage Packet prepared for me. In front of XXXX I was reviewing the documents and I was one more time surprise how crazy have been the process buying my house. The HUD-1 form printed from the original documents signed and filed one year ago now came from that special printer without signature, it was signed by XXXX that day. I asked why you signed the document? and she said because XXXX XXXX is longer working with us could you believe that? There is not respect you can not trust in anybody eve when they pretend to be nice and professional. In conclusion nobody had the knowledge to explain the escrow and other things to me. I am sending a copy of document signed by XXXX XXXX.
I consulted a Real State Attorney he shows me all the money paid in advance stated at the final HUD-1 Settlement Statement Document and gave some advices followed for me during the appeal process.

Shortage Letter I paid in advance {$700.00} to Caliber home Loans Inc, XXXX ( The seller ) for 7 months taxes at $ XXXX/month.
I paid in advance {$200.00} Homeowners Insurance to Caliber Home Loans, Inc XXXX ( the seller ) for 3 months at XXXX/month.
I paid in advance {$800.00} to Homeowners Insurance Premium to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX per 12 months.
After those payments made in advance I do not have any problems with the Homeowners Insurance payments, 12 months payed in advance {$800.00} ( {$760.00} Total premium, {$39.00} charged also I do not know why? ). I understand I was Short when the taxes payment was made leaving a negative balance in the escrow account but no agree with the sum of {$3300.00}.

Complaint: Back in XX/XX/XXXX there was a really bad Hurricane and i was in contact with Caliber mortgage about my mortgage payment almost every week. The reps on the phone kept telling me that due to the natural disaster that we did not have to make our monthly payment. Than i checked my reports and they reported me 30 days late. I than called and the rep said that if i disputed the alleged late pay that they would correct their mistake. Well i disputed it and they still have me as late.

Complaint: Back in XX/XX/XXXX I did not receive a pay check on XX/XX/XXXX due to contractual agreement between XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX. Ive been employed with XXXX XXXX XXXX as a XXXX XXXX XXXX for the last eight years and never experienced this process before. This caused me to fall behind in my finances. I asked Caliber Home Loans to remove the two 30- days late mark from my Credit Report with all three agencies and they said no.
In XX/XX/XXXX I became ill with a XXXX XXXX in my XXXX and XXXX that caused me to be out of work for over thirty days which two and half weeks I was laid up in bed. As a XXXX we only get a certain amount of Sick Days and with me being out for more than thirty days I did not have enough sick days to cover my absence causing me not to get paid for 11 days. I asked Caliber Home loans to remove the 30- days late mark from my Credit Report with all three agencies and they said no.
As a retired XXXX Veteran and a XXXX XXXX I understand the importance of having outstanding credit and I have been practice just that. I have never been late or my mortgage or any other bills in over nine and half years. I have provided documentation for your review to consider waiving my late marks on my credit report. Lastly, I am in the process in putting my last child through college who was accepted to XXXX XXXX and the banks are giving me a hard time because of my credit score being effected by the three late marks.

Complaint: Hawaii Tax Calendar Year XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX ->Prepay taxes Due XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX ->Due XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX closed on a condo on Hawaii at which time I paid 2 months county taxes @ {$210.00} = {$430.00} to Caliber. I pay all my bills on time to Caliber in the full amounts they bill me for.
As of XX/XX/XXXX, Caliber had not paid my XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX tax payment which was due XX/XX/XXXX.
XX/XX/XXXX Caliber paid {$1500.00} which they stated was to cover XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX and was due XX/XX/XXXX. I called the state of Hawaii Tax Department and they said the payment was applied to XX/XX/XXXX but missing ( P & I ) penalty & interest fees totalling {$250.00}.
XX/XX/XXXX, I noticed {$250.00} was taken out of MY ESCROW ACCOUNT and paid to Hawaii - it was listed as Tax Payment. Caliber stated that was a pro-rated part of XX/XX/XXXX payment.
XX/XX/XXXX called Caliber to tell them that Hawaii updated the XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX tax bill to {$1600.00} ; Said to call back in 20 days and I told them no Ill be out the country then. I want an answer ASAP. Theyre escalating should hear back in 2 days. Never heard back.
XX/XX/XXXX called, first they said {$1500.00} was mailed. Called again, they said {$1600.00} was mailed on XX/XX/XXXX. Called Hawaii and they havent received it ( 3 weeks later ). Called Caliber back, they said they sent it in error and had to retrieve the payment and resent on XX/XX/XXXX.
XX/XX/XXXX - called Caliber and they said at closing taxes were short by {$250.00} they were notified about that and were delinquent. They said {$4.00} of penalty was charged which they charged back to closing/they paid it. I disagreed and the lady got angry and said she was going to hang up.
XX/XX/XXXX - called Caliber and asked to speak with a supervisor. The CSR said indeed I shouldnt have been charged the {$250.00}, then put me on hold and then said it was for unpaid taxes at closing. I asked why Hawaii never had that on a statement for me and who paid the penalties & interest of {$250.00} then? He didnt have an answer. Said hed call back this afternoon once Hawaii is open and do a conference call. They didnt.
XX/XX/XXXX - called Hawaii, they said NOTHING was due at time of closing. The first bill was due in XX/XX/XXXX and was paid late ( XX/XX/XXXX ) with P & I totalling {$250.00}. Hawaii said XX/XX/XXXX payment was just received ( late ) and P & I will be charged on that too. Called Caliber and spoke with XXXX ( Supervisor ) at extension XXXX. Said XXXX get the P & I money back in my escrow and follow up on the XX/XX/XXXX payment that no future late payments are taking out of my account. Should take 15 business days ( XX/XX/XXXX ) to complete and get caught up on payments.
XX/XX/XXXX - Called and said I wanted loan recalculated and escrow closed because I no longer want them taking out my taxes since they cant seem to pay them on time.
XX/XX/XXXX - received a letter they cant close my escrow because my last payment was {$210.00} short!! How can that be when they owe me {$250.00}??? They owe me since XX/XX/XXXX - thats 4 months theyve earned interest on MY MONEY!
Numerous phone calls made since XX/XX/XXXX questioning why my taxes werent getting paid on time and why money was taken out of MY ACCOUNT for THEIR MESS UP and no one seems to be able to get me a straight answer or get MY MONEY back in my account!

Complaint: I am a veteran of the XXXX. Job moved out of country. House went into foreclosure. NJ Hardest Hit Program approved me for their NJ Homesavers program. Caliber Home Loans refuses to recast the loan even though the VA states that they are able to do it.
My sheriff sale is XX/XX/2018, NJHMFA and the VA are working hard to push this through and they have run into a brick wall with Caliber Home Loans says no to recast of Mortgage.
I will have to go Chapter XXXX Bankruptcy if things fail to keep me house which is unfair because NJ Hardest Hit Fund has XXXX they want to put on my mortgage with Caliber Home Loans and save my credit and save my house.

It is allegedly now being serviced by Caliber Home Loans and they have failed to give me a complete payment history of payments made to XXXX and transferred to them in XX/XX/XXXX. Also I paid into an escrow account for taxes and insurance and they have failed to pay me the 2 % interest at the end of the year. I have now had to join a class action and they keep deny sending me the requested information. They are also trying to unlawfully foreclose on my property when it is in BK and I only owe them $ XXXX. Complaint: I received a notice from Caliber Home Loans that effective XX/XX/2018, they are now charging a fee for mortgage payments submitted online or via their app. The only way to avoid this fee is to mail a check or use recurring payments.
I plan to pay off my mortgage early by making additional monthly principle payments early in the month. Caliber 's new policy now makes it more expensive and time consuming for me to make additional payments and to pay off my mortgage early.

Complaint: Today, XX/XX/2018, I received a notification that Caliber Home Loans would henceforth charge a {$3.00} fee for paying our mortgage online. Only if we authorize continuing automatic access to our checking account will that fee be waived. This policy is outrageous. I asked Custimer Service for the Caliber Corporate Offices number to complain about the policy but was refused that information. The corporate phone numbers appear to be nowhere on the web.
Again, I am angered on several levels : I asked specifically for a XXXX XXXX for our new house because of online access. Secondly, this is s cheap attempt to force automatic payments and access to personal accounts. Three, this is UNFAIR to veterans who count on access remotely during deployments.

Complaint: I received a copy of a forbearance plan that caliber home loans put together on XX/XX/XXXX.
I called and spoke with caliber home loans on XX/XX/XXXX about some additional details with the loan.
I sent the letter off at the post office in XXXX XXXX, OK with the provided envelope from caliber home loans. The letter was going to XXXX XXXX. ( Is a 2 day delivery time with USPS. ) I called caliber home loans on XX/XX/XXXX, to see what the status was and to see if they have received the letter.
The CSR indicated that they have not and informed me that sending a letter takes 7 to 10 business days.
Knowing that I received it on XX/XX/XXXX and sent it out the following day and the postal standards indicated by the caliber CSR then I would not have had enough time to get this to them with the provided postage.
I asked the CSR if he could send me another copy of it, and he stated he would, after belittling me about not making copies of it. He also stated that it may take 24 hours.
I feel that throughout this whole forbearance process, that caliber has not treated me fairly and I feel that they have intentionally held the process up for whatever reason they have had.
