Complaint: I would like my current and former creditor CAPITAL ONEto delete two old closed accounts for the explanation that follows.the accounts are XXXX AND XXXX.they have appeared on XXXX XXXX and XXXX at various times inconsistently due to my numerous dispute efforts.I have an understanding and knowledge of the fact that the bureaus and creditors have not held their customers accountable in time of "natural disaster" and "acts of God"that affected the consumers ability to meet their loan commitments .I HAVE EXPERIENCED AN ACT OF GOD AND AN OCCURRENCE SO SEVERE AS TO MAKE ANY NATURAL DISASTER LIKE A FORREST FIRE SEEM MINOR.My recently deceased,divorced father had XXXXl XXXX.There was no one but me to care for him,pay his rent,make all medical decisions and feed clothe and bathe him till the end.At the time of my lates was a time period of surgeries,some elective and experimental to attempt to save his life.I was younger and overwhelmed with the constant hospital environment and the life or death gambles I was making on my father's behalf.I was late on my loan commitments but caught up.Please be a human being and remove my accounts as the lates are devastating to my young credit and the fact that Itruly did have solid mitigating circumstance,ACTS OF GODTO CAUSE THOSE LATES.

Complaint: I have just received my new CapitalOne Venture credit card. My first charge onXX/XX/XXXX was a USDXXXX annual membership fee. All CapitalOne’s advertising for their Venture card states that the annual membership fee is $XXXX for the first year, $XXXX pa thereafter. I have spoken with 2 CapitalOne agents and a Supervisor and complained that their advertising is misleading. CapitalOne refer to a detailed term and condition that states “Even if I am otherwise eligible for this offer, approval is based upon satisfying Capital One’s credit standards.” I have a number of issues with this:- this term and condition is given no prominence, unlike the $XXXX first year offer.- the above condition refers to credit standards not to fee waiver eligibility.- clearly there are no credit standards issues or they would not have given me a USDXXXX credit limit. In sum CapitalOne’s advertising is grossly misleading in my opinion. They are using a condition buried in a lot of detail to amend an offer and using credit standards as an excuse when this is just a fee issue.

Complaint: Capital One continues to send me prepaid offers for a previous tenant, one who has been gone for several years. This is creating a threat vector for this individual who could have his identity compromised by an individual (the new tenant, currently myself) who could use this constant barrage of pre-approved offers to the old address.I've sent pictures of the letters multiple times to privacy@ and abuse@ Capital One and there has been no response or change in their behavior. In my opinion, they should not be sending pre-approved offers to individuals who do not live at the residence on file, especially if the postal service or the current tenant advises them that they are leaking possible PII and providing an opportunity for third parties to accept pre-approved offers unauthorized on their behalf.Please have them stop sending me offers for the previous tenant.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2019, I made a payment to Capital One Bank for a credit card which I have had in my name for more than 3 years. Shortly after making the payment in the amount of $XXXX, the credit card was restricted from use. I was instructed to phone a telephone number owned by Capital One Bank and was told the card account was restricted due to fraud. I was asked to send in identity documents, resident documents, and a copy of my ssn. I sent all this information to Capital One Bank and waited for a response. I received a letter in the mail from Capital One telling me that they had placed a hold on my account due to fraud and again to phone them at the telephone number on the letter. I made the call to Capital One on Saturday, XX/XX/2019. I was told that they received my documents however, they wanted my bank statements including my personal bank account number, another copy of my id document front and back blown up 225% and a utility bill with my address upon it. Until then they would not unrestrict my credit card. I then asked if they would close my account since I had provided them enough personal information and they have recently suffered a data breach. They have not closed the account nor have they responded.

Complaint: Account number XXXX XXXXCase# XXXXOn the date of XX/XX/2019, a laptop from the manufacturer XXXX, was purchased from XXXX. The purchase was in the amount of $XXXX. The laptop received was completely inoperable. It would not turn on in anyway. Multiple attempts were made to receive return merchandise authorization from XXXX. XXXX's has a 30 day return policy for their items. I put in within the allowed time frame and the seller "XXXX", did not respond. I messaged them multiple times asking them to send a prepaid return label as this is their policy. I brought this item to a local repair shop and they were unable to do anything to help fix this problem and was told to continue to attempt to return the merchandise to the seller. All items requested by Capital One including, my personal opinion, copy of receipt, and copy of a 3rd party opinion explaining that the product could not be fixed by any means, was included in the documentation that was sent to Capital One. We have made all attempt to try to return the merchandise which were clearly ignored by the seller. All information requested by Capital One was provided and Capital One Bank still declined my dispute.Please help resolve this problem on my bill.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2015 Capital One reported a late payment to the 3 credit bureau regarding my credit card account. I called Capital one and told them I moved from the previous address and never received the statement and asked if they would please remove the late payment from my credit file. Capital one ignored my request and this late payment has been hurting my account ever since. I have unfortunately been denied credit for a car, house and education loans because my credit reflects a not so desirable payment history due to the reporting from Capital one. I have faithful been with this bank for 4 years and I would love to continue to be a client if they would correct the information they have reported to the 3 credit bureaus.
