Credit card company won't increase or decrease your credit limit
Complaint: I have ben with capital one for over 19 years. have 5 cards with capital one. opened up cards in XXXX XXXX 19 years of on time payments. not one payment late ever in 19 years. also my credit report has me reported as 25 years of on time payments. never late once in 25 years. I have been trying for 19 years to get capital one to give me one credit card increase .on just one of my cards let alone 5. I have tried over 8 times in my 19 years. just tried again on XX/XX/XXXX every time it has ben one excuse after another. the last time they told me the economy was bad at the time. I told the super visor. I have ben a retired XXXX for over 25 years. and the economy does not affect me like a lot of people. she told me the economy affects every one including her hung the phone up on me. on XX/XX/XXXX was sent 5 letters from capital one. I was denied a credit in crease because your average monthly payment is to low .and my finical obligations are to high come on 19 years of not one late payment on 5 cards with capital one. I give up .and just will not stand anymore excuses from capital one. they have treated me like XXXX and pretend to not care abought me or my 19 years of on time payments. I have such longevity on my credit report with the 5 cards if I cancel them out my credit scores will be a mess. I aso have a XXXX credit score right now. and have ben told buy my CFP my scores should be above 800. capital one has kept me from getting my 800 credit scores to stay at XXXX to XXXX because of no credit card increase in 19 years. please help me with this company

Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Complaint: On or about XX/XX/XXXX, my card was posted with the following fraudulent charges : XX/XX/XXXX XXXX Other Services ... XXXX {$370.00} XX/XX/XXXX XXXX Other ... XXXX {$83.00} XX/XX/XXXX XXXX Other Services ... XXXX {$25.00} CapitalOne handled this very well in detecting the above as fraud. Sent me a new card, so on and so forth.
Today I found the following fraudulent charge - keep in mind this is on a new credit card number that I haven't actually used yet - there is no possible way for someone to have stolen this number, so CapitalOne had to be the one to give them the card number for the fraudulent charge : XX/XX/XXXX XXXX Other Services ... XXXX {$22.00} I reported it as fraud. No response from CapitalOne. I called their call center. I'm then greeted with a frustrating IVR system and a customer service rep who deliberately manufactured static on the line while ignoring me for two minutes.

Complaint: I recently requested a {$1000.00} increase in my credit line with Capital One. I am a XXXX year old woman, separated from my husband for the last XXXX years. I received a letter stating my request had been denied on the basis of Your average monthly payment has been too low. The explanation that was provided by Capital One was Generally, if you make more than your minimum monthly payment on time for 3 months you can reapply for a credit line increase.
Below is a report of my last payments for XXXX and XXXX 22 payments in all. Everyone of these payments were made in a timely manner and far exceeded the minimum payment required. As of this writing, at the highest amount of outstanding credit, the minimum payment is only {$100.00}.

Complaint: This involves a prior issue, complaint # XXXX. This item was inexplicably closed, with no resolution and no answers from the company. I was NOT asking for my account to be reopened, just a reasonable explanation of WHY it was closed in the first place. NO ONE has to date answered that question, only saying " it can't be reopened ''. I don't want it reopened. Just tell us WHY it was closed. Who? When? Why? Answers are owed on this matter, as it seems Capital One made a significant mistake and won't acknowledge it, or explain how this is being reported to credit bureaus. I need to know HOW this closing is impacting my credit score. Capital One has already demonstrated a poor record of customer privacy protection. I need answers.

I have called Mr.XXXX XXXX at ext. XXXX on XX/XX/2019. He was very pleasant and courteous. My bank account has been completely frozen and I have been charged a fee of {$100.00}. As I have told MrXXXX XXXX I am unable to pay the balance of {$3700.00}. I do not have sufficient funds in my account. According to The Exempt Income Protection Act of 2009 the first {$1700.00} of my account can not be frozen. As such they are illegally trying to extract money from me as well as illegally freezing my account. I have posted a message on their website ( they do not have an e-mail address ) with the above information. I am ready to take legal action if my account is not freed and the fee of {$100.00} is not credited to my account. If my account is freed and I am reimbursed the {$100.00} charged to me I will not seek legal action. Thank you.

Complaint: Contacted Capital One and spoke to a supervisor, due to the continuous misinformation provided by reps of Capital One. I was told that there is no limit on the amount of credit cards that a Capital One consumer may have. I recently submitted and application for a 4th credit card and was told that I was declined for having too many Capital One credit cards. I have spoken to XXXX XXXX before with the executive office of Capital One, in which the customer service is still HORRIBLE. I have submitted recent complaints against Capital One to the CFPB and have not been given phone calls? Are they required to verbally contact a customer when a complaint is submitted to the CFPB? This is the WORST company to do business with, in which most are malady are.

Complaint: The original company that owned this debt was Capital One.
I had a balance on the card and ran into financially issues and had to put the payments aside for a few months but the delinquency never populated onto my credit report. I thought that was odd. I had to call Capital One one day to see if I could work out a payment plan with them, They asked my information they said the information they had did not match what I was giving them. I told them the original card was placed in my name and my name only, Captial one said their was another name and address attached to this card. I told them if they can not tell me whom the other person was I would not take responsibility for the card. They told me they saw my name but another person was showing as the primary. I was not married and did not have children old enough. So I had no idea who the primary authorized user was that was placed on my card, and what they had charged on my card. After speaking with several people the management returned my call and informed me that they found me to be the original card holder and they were not sure how the other authorized user could have been added to my account without my permission. They said they would delete the other user. I specifically told them NOT TO DELETE the other user. I asked them to make notes on my account stating what had occurred they agreed to do so but would not discredit the balance. I told them that I refuse to pay for this debt years that Is not all of mine. My account was altered without my permission allowing another user to have access to my account and use my card. I discontinued payments on the card and fought the company several times telling them I refuse to be responsible for the entire debt they were telling me I now owed. After not seeing the credit card on my credit report for years the delinquency began to population there. Years passed and the SOL was in effect so I could no longer be sued, I thought all was done, until A company called me out of the blue stating they bought the debt. I explained the story to them and they agreed that they did not want to deal with it. It went back to Capital One, and XXXX XXXX bought the debt from Capital One .They call me all day long, send me letters. I have responded through credit reporting companies stating the debt is not mine. They respond back by sending my the credit card statements. They have not sent me any of the capital one notes that I asked by documented nor the recordings of the multiple phone calls that took place this is not expectable. They have told me I could not be sued but have issued a derogatory mark on my credit report. It is seriously effecting my credit and I would like to refinance my house. Other than hiring a lawyer I am not sure how else to handle this company and make them remove the derogatory mark.

Complaint: A lawyers group called XXXX XXXX XXXX phone number-XXXX executed a court order along with a XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX nj to take XXXX dollars out of an old woman on social securities account for a credit card that was charged off of her credit report in XXXX.
The credit card was supposedly used in XXXX.
And most credit issues with cards are legally taken off within seven years.
add- XXXX plus seven years.
Also it is illegal to take money out of a social security account.
The whole act was report to the department on aging.
And the doj. Considering the womans constituants work at a credit department and had told the doj that there are people with XXXX dollars worth of debt- and they continue to receive all types of credit.
The whole act seems discriminatory.
This whole incident happened between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX.
