Didn't receive advertised or promotional terms
Complaint: Around XX/XX/XXXX of 2019. XXXX XXXX offered a promotion to apply for a XXXX credit card and if approved I would receive {$200.00} statement credit on my cruise that was supposed to start on XX/XX/2019. So what I planned on doing at that moment was to ensured that exactly {$200.00} would be my balance on the cruise. So that way when my statement came and they applied the {$200.00} credit it would cover and leave a {$0.00} balance. I applied and was approved. Upon arriving on XXXX XXXX ship I requested that my Capital one card be removed and no charges to be filed to it. I explained that all charges should go to my XXXX credit card. Upon noticing a charge on my capital one I contacted XXXX XXXX customer services, They told me that the XXXX master card did not apply to my account and they couldn't add it to my cruise ship account. I showed them the advertised offer that I had screened shot. I spent countless hours in customer care. Customer care in the ship has a promotional Department who offer me an new promotion stating that they can cancel the previous card and have me reapply, then my credit card can apply to my ship account. I said no because that may affect my credit. I ask them how is it possible that they can obtain my master card and add it on the ship if I do the promotion with them but yet they cant add the current card and it is a XXXX card. A representative from the cruise customer care contacted XXXX and spoke to the supervisors at XXXX 's the supervisor at XXXX said I should be able to use the XXXX Mastercard within 24 hours. This did not happened. XXXX XXXX customer service manager called XXXX again and this time they were told that another department on the ship need to handle the matter. It continued like this to the point that it was too stressful. I advised them to fix it and charge XXXX card as permission has been revoked to charge any other card XXXX XXXX has on fire particularly capital one as i was paying interest. After this terrible experience I begun having more bad luck and poor serviced on the ship. Birthday cake not delivered on time to start my birthday celebration, not being seated in the room after my table was reserved, confusion with reservation. Cook walking out in the middle of our order because a customer in front of us upsetted him. Customer care placing us in the incorrect line while leaving the ship and causing us to miss an excursion. Customer care bulling my husbands XXXX XXXX XXXX card when they should not have we had to go back to customer care and have the charges removed. They initially lied that my husbands card was deleted from their files and upon seeing charges on it, it was shocking. They then claimed to remove the charges abd and delete it again. I spoke to customer care and wrote a letter before leaving the ship disputing any gratuities since gratuities are for good service provided. I would pay individuals deserving it. Customer service in the end charged gratuities to my capital one card, hence I asked capital one to dispute it. I send copies of my email to capital one showing them that i did communicate with customer care before leaving the ship. Capital one closed the case on XX/XX/2019..I called and they said the dispute was not correctly filed. They claim they have correctly filed it. I do not trust capital one or XXXX XXXX credit card company '. XXXX had no right charging my capital.one card anything because they were to charge any charges on the cruise to my zero interest XXXX card. Because they redused to add my XXXX card ws payment while on the cruise I got upset and decided not to incur a balance on the ship, secondly the only balance I could incur was the gratuity which I already disputed for the over all bad services and experience.. so I dont feel that my capital one card should have been charged $ XXXX..I would like for XXXX to explain themselves and reverse the charges off my capital one card for their false advertisement that offered me to save {$200.00} on the current cruise when that did not happen.
If XXXX refuses to comply Capital one need to send the charges back to the XXXX XXXX merchants as I provided email correspondence to capital one showing what was communicated to XXXX XXXX while on ship and screen shots of the promotion offered from XXXX to support my dispute.

Complaint: Capital One Auto Finance is incorrectly reporting me as late from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX and from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. I have sent documentation from my bank which clearly faults a third party for the issue but Capital One Auto Finance refuses to correct their reporting as required under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Complaint: I have been diligently working with Kohls/CapOne to increase my Kohls credit card limit for the last 5 months. Each month I receive the same run around with them claiming they can not access my credit reports. They claim they are locked, have fraud alerts and so on. They have had me contact XXXX, XXXX and XXXX on multiple occasions. Each time I do, the credit bureaus inform me the problem is not on their end. Certified letters have changed hands and multiple supervisors/managers have been consulted. The credit department at Kohls has been anything but helpful. They always tell me it is not their fault and it's all computer generated. I have had enough of their run around. So today, XX/XX/2019 I call because I received another letter from them telling me to call to verify additional information so they could process my request. This letter comes a couple times a month and always results in me spending hours on the phone with countless people who have no idea or desire to do their job. Today was spent talking with XXXX and then her Manager XXXX in the credit department at Kohls. XXXX states he has been with Kohls for 13 years and has never seen anything like this before. XXXX could not seem to understand that XXXX shows that Kohls/CapOne obtained a full credit report on XX/XX/2019, some 11 days ago. XXXX did not see that in his system and XXXX was unwilling to accept that I was tell him the truth, despite my willingness to send him the screenshots from XXXX via email. XXXX is a XXXX who lacks passion for his job. XXXX is the reason I am finally escalating this issue to CFPB. Please help me force Kohls/CapOne to do their job and properly process my credit limit increase request.

Complaint: I received a Cashiers Check in the amount of XXXX. XXXX XXXX : Capital One Bank, XXXX XXXX XXXX, Dated XX/XX/2019. Pay to the Order of myself. I was under the understanding that Upon receiving the check a car wrap from XXXX was to be delivered XXXX to my residence then I was to confirm receipt in order for the XXXX Co. Schedule the wrap with a contractor. I was instructed to keep XXXX and the remaining XXXX was to kept and payment made to the contractor. I was under the understanding that this was a legitimate check. Upon trying to comply with the directions the teller at my local Bank XXXX XXXX XXXX refused to cash it do to believing that it was fraudulent, then informed me to take it to the police. I refused to do so after three years of trying to get questions answered that remain unanswered from the FTC, SEC, CFTC, FDIC, DOJ, FBI and XXXX XXXX XXXX. If this is a fraudulent check then it would appear that someone is slipping.

Complaint: In XX/XX/2015, I rented a XXXX XXXX car using my Capital One credit card from XXXX XXXX XXXX. After missing a flight back to Nebraska, I mad arrangements with XXXX XXXXl service to drive the car back to Nebraska and return it to the XXXX XXXX location. They quoted me an additional fee of around {$400.00} for returning it to another location at a later date. The total would have then been {$600.00}.
Payment for additional fees is usually paid when I return the vehicle. I was going to pay the amount that exceeded my credit card limit with another card, however XXXX informed me that the payment had been authorized from Capital One. The charge was over {$2500.00}.
I contacted XXXX to dispute and they did not resolve the issue. I contacted Capital One on a Friday evening to dispute. The following Monday they asserted that the charges were valid and that they had rightfully authorized the limit to be exceeded.
I have never opted into this option and questioned Capital One disputes department for years. I have recently opened another dispute only for the issue to still go unresolved. I never opted into this.

Complaint: I have a loan with CAPITAL ONE BANK USA. I have always made my payments on time. For some reason, I realized that there was a late payment on my credit report. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record with this company. I tried contacting both XXXX XXXX and CAPITAL ONE BANK USA with no successful resolution. XXXX and XXXX only reporting me late. There was definitely an error on their part. I was never 30 days late.

Unexpected increase in interest rate
Complaint: The due date was changed per Representative. My due date currently is the XXXX of every month. Due to a system update my due date is changed to XX/XX/2019. Due to Capital one system update, My payment went up XXXX in interest ). I do not want to change my due date. Made sure the representative is aware of this. She says they have to due to the update. The customer should not have to pay the price for Captial one system updates. Customer should not have to pay the extra interest due to their updates. Everyone doesn't have an extra XXXX dollars due to their decision on updates. This is a conspiracy and they are ripping off customers with extra interest. The customer is losing all the way around. This is a fraud. My bill went from XXXX a month to XXXX a month because of their updates. I call and spoke with representative and supervisor XX/XX/2019 XXXX XXXX. Yet the letter says you can change your due date. So, why change it and then charge the customer XXXX in interest. This really needs to be looked into. Just imagine how much money there cheating the consumer out of. This also causes issues to the customer who can due the new date and don't know about new date and get charged late charges. This has happen to me before.

Complaint: My account was paid off by a financial institution on my behalf in XXXX of this year.
I received a letter - opened on XXXX that indicated the account was closed. I verified this with my noble app.
I called capital one and inquired about the closure. They said that they had received a letter to close the account separately from the payoff that had my signature. I asked for a copy and they said they could not produce it. I explained that I never authorized the closure of the account and that it could have a potential impact on my FICO score.
Again, they said they would not produce the aforementioned letter with my signature.

Complaint: In XX/XX/2018 I opened an account with capital one for XXXX in credit and went up to XXXX in credit. Unfortunately, I am recently unemployed due to medical issues of a dependent. The current balance is XXXX. Since having little to no income I am not able to make payment. Capital One will not put me on a program so they stop reporting until i get an income. My son is having medical issues and i need to be unemployed until healthy again.
