Complaint: Capital One Credit Card has been overcharging ridiculous fee after I have automatic payments set up with them for 10 years. They just told me that they don't have a " grace period ''. They reported me to the credit bureau for non payment. You can see I made automatic payment for {$25.00} each week for the past 10 years. I feel they are unethical to their customers. Please investigate them. This isn't fair for a loyal customers like myself. I'm not trying to get over but I think their trying to scam their customers. That's not right.

Complaint: I have had a Capital One Journey card since XX/XX/XXXXof XX/XX/XXXXand as of XX/XX/XXXX Capital One has closed my account because of returned payments and i have a new bank now and so i have paid off my Capital One bill off my account. I also have a XXXX card that i have always made payments on and never had a problem before. My latest XXXX XXXX score as of XX/XX/XXXX is XXXX. I have made on time payments on my Capital One and XXXX. I always have made sure that my bill is paid because i am a XXXX and need to make sure its paid off. I can not be approved for a new credit card because of this issue i have applied for a Capital One SavorOne card and was denied because of this issue. I would like to either be approved for a SavorOne card or have my Capital One Journey card account reopened. I have already contacted Capital One support and they couldn't help me until i got my letter.

Complaint: I had a credit card with capital one in XX/XX/XXXX. It had a {$500.00} limit. I owed over {$650.00}. I then paid the outstanding balance in XX/XX/XXXX to capital one bank usa. I will attach proof of payment from XXXX accounts to this claim.This means capital one was paid for my debt, thus has no right to report on it! And as I paid the debt should show as paid on my credit report.

I was denied and told I would be receiving a letter outlining the reasons as to why within 10 business days. This was a month ago and I have yet to receive anything from Capital One. The offer for credit was pre-approved through XXXX XXXX as "likely to approve". While I understand XXXX XXXX did not make any promises, Capital One has not properly disclosed to me the reason(s) for denial as they are required and as they stated they would.

Complaint: I received a due date extension change from Capital One Auto Finance on XX/XX/XXXX changing my due date from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. I received a due date letter from captial one auto on XX/XX/XXXX, I made I made a payment on XX/XX/XXXX. Which was for XXXX and due to the due date extension and change I was not due again until XX/XX/XXXX not the XXXX. I received a statement on XX/XX/XXXX stating that my due date is XX/XX/XXXX. on XX/XX/XXXX Capital One Auto Finance receive a paid in full payment for over XXXX paying the account in full however Capital One is reporting to the credit bureaus that my status is 30 to 60 days past due on this paid account. I have sent in all the proof and information that my due date was changed to XX/XX/XXXX and no longer XX/XX/XXXX and if my account was paid in full on XX/XX/XXXX that is not 30 days past due. I sent all documents proving my due date was change to capital one auto finance and it has yet to be corrected. Due to this error by Capital One Financial I was not able to close on my home and it lowered my score 38 points and being that I have proof that I wasn't 30 days late because of the payment due date change I need this could be corrected ASAP or I will seek a lawyer for further information and defamation of character

Complaint: I had a {$850.00} credit card limit for my daughter. She reserve a car, she never picked up. I set the limit for a reason. I dont want to have to pay interest I cant afford. Capitol One allowed XXXX to put {$1700.00} on a credit card that have {$850.00} dollar limit. This effecting my credit score and Im paying {$60.00} in interest. In 2015 I checked the box to not allow my credit card to go over limit.

Complaint: I SUBMITTED UNAUTORIZED CHARGES ON MY DC FOR DISPUTE, WAS NEVER NOTIFED BY CAPITAL ONE ABOUT THE RESULTS OF THE INVESTIGATION UNTIL THE CREDIT WAS REVERSED AND I CALLED, THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD IT FILED AS UNRECOGNIZED CHARGE...WHICH IS NOT HOW IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SUBMITTED.. THEY DIDNT REACH OUT TO ME ABOUT MY DISUPTES UNTIL 11/19 WHILE I WAS AT WORK, THE HAD ME PULLED OFF THE PHONE TO DISCUSS AT WORK WITH MY HR DEPT.. THE END RESULT WAS THEM STATING THAT I WAS FILING FRAUDULENT DISPUTES. SO I WAS TERMINATED. MY CREDIT HAS BEEN RUINED BECAUSE OF THIS ACCOUNT AND CAPITAL ONE.

Complaint: Hello On XX/XX/19 I received a form letter notifying me that Capital One credit card was changing due dates to the 1st of every month effective XX/XX/XXXX. And that if I wanted to change it ( back to the XXXX ), I'd have to arrange that but it would take 1-2 billing cycles XXXX XXXX XXXX for that to take effect. On XX/XX/19, when I had an hour to set aside, I phoned Capital One and spoke with a customer service person XXXX, then Sr Acct Supervisor XXXX ID No. XXXX, who told me that it was a 'wash ' because they had skipped XXXX payments. XXXX did arrange for my payment due date to be the XXXX of the months but could not guarantee what date it would take effect, and said I'd incur late fees and service charges if I didn't pay it in full. This is a credit card I pay in full every month. The shell game here is that Capitol one gets a potential of 10-40 days of payment earlier than they otherwise would, without having given consumers the 45 days notice they are required to by law. On XX/XX/19 I wrote a letter to their CEO and reiterated that I'd like this to revert to the 21st effective immediately. I also sent him/Capital One an invoice to compensate me for an hour of my time. I'd appreciate you looking into this for me. It's unfair to consumers, and some of it is against the law. Most people don't have time to deal with this, and the credit card companies get away with it. Best, XXXX XXXX

Complaint: Capital One ran promotions to give $XXXX bonus for opening new Money Market Account and fund it for 90 days with a balance of $XXXX.I responded; opened an account - received an email confirming on the promotion code having been applied to the new account.5 months on - now the bonus was not credited - upon inquiring Capital One Bank representative is informing me that I was not eligible for the offer. My questions to the bank:- as per promotion the bank is expected to comply with the bonus offer that was advertised with promo code 'EARN500' - - your email upon opening the account, while acknowledging the promotion code, did not specify any restriction or indication that the bonus would not be applied.- there has never been any communication from the bank about the promotion code not being applicable, therefore I have been led to believe the promotion will be honored.attached is the email sent by Capital One bank upon opening the account and the chat transcript.

Complaint: Ive been noticing the interest rate have been increasing for the last couple of months. I happened to look online and Ive noticed they are charging me a 31 % rate so I called them to explain the situation and all I got was I can call credit Counseling and it cant be lower because its a variable rate, I told the supervisor who was very Condescending when we were talking that it has never been this high, and he told me its nothing they can do.. Capital One inherited the cards from XXXX in 2013.. I have 2 Capital One cards and my other one is not like this.. I need a Resolution because I think its some kind of scamming going on here and after talking to a couple people about my situation, they inform me about the same issues they had with Capital One.. Please help..

Complaint: I was stationed overseas and experienced identity theft, two credit cards were opened on my name. One from Capital One and One from XXXX, I have never done any interactions with either bank before this issue occurred. The purchases and use of card was done in the US while I was overseas. I have attempted to resolve this with the companies but since I had no information other than my name and social they couldn't help me. I have disputed this charges through the credit bureus and Federal Trade Commission. I would appreciate all the help I can get, these cards have ruined my credit score, I have never missed payments in the past and now.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I made an electronic phone payment of {$280.00}. I also asked what the process would like to close my account now that I have a XXXX balance. The representative explained the process. She asked if I wanted to close the account I said no not at this time. Two weeks later I received a letter in the mail that my account has been closed. I called Captial One and was told that I closed my account on XX/XX/XXXX. The phone rep. that I spoke to kept repeating himself saying that since the account has already been closed. I would not be able to have it reopened. I asked to speak the reps supervisor after the rep was of no help. I explained to the supervisor what occurred. He said that all phone conversations are recorded so they would be able to check back to the recorded to see if it was their error. I spoke to supervisor XXXX employee ID number XXXX. He said I could check back within 7-10 business days for an update. This was a relief because I understood that after review I would be able to have my account reopened since I clearly said to the rep that I did not want to close my account at this time. I follow-up with Captial One two weeks later. The capital one rep did not connect me with the same supervisor. I was connected with XXXX employee ID number XXXX. She said that because my card was a secured card it would not be reopened even though it was their error. I explained that their error is now negatively impacting my credit score. I am looking to apply for a mortgage in the next 3 months and this capital one account was my oldest line of credit. Captial one admitted that this was an error of their and was unwilling to remedy the situation.
