Problem with fees
Complaint: My complaint is about Capital One charging me 3 late fees. The problem I am having is that I use an app called XXXX to automatically pay my bills. I have had this app for a few years and never had any issues. What happened was Capital One was booted off of my XXXX account so I had to re-link it. I was never notified by Capital One that my payments were not made. I checked my phone records, voicemails, emails, and spam. There were no notifications to make me aware of this situation. I found out when I was with my mortgage rep to get pre-approved for a mortgage. The problem that I am having is that my credit score has dropped to under XXXX and I always had a score of about XXXX. I then called Capital One. I expressed my concerns and all they did for me was waive one {$38.00} fee out of three {$38.00} fees. I have been a loyal customer with them for 8 years. I have NEVER been late on a payment. This was an innocent mistake, but they NEVER notified me about the late payments.

Complaint: XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX is a victim of identity theft. He was notified by your Capital One bank of a fraudulent application submitted with his information without his consent. An inquiry was made into his XXXX credit report XX/XX/XXXX and again XX/XX/XXXX related to that application. An official dispute of this information was provided to Capital One Bank XX/XX/XXXX however as of this date Capital One Bank has failed to reply to the status of the investigation as is their obligation. This is a violation of the FCRA.

Complaint: CapitalOne caalled more than once from XXXX XXXX XXXX. This number, when researched, comes up as XXXX XXXX XXXX. Spoke to a XXXX # XXXX employee id #. Stated i wanted a verification letter of the debt. She yelled at me saying we sent one, you didnt give it enough time. I just requested the letter today. She also stated legal action against me. She stated legal action against me after 90 days, the account is charged off. I stated she broke the law with stating legal action against me, and that i would submit that to a the bankruptcy court. She transferred me to a supervisor XXXX # XXXX. I stated the same, debt verification letter, do not call request and bankruptcy. I asked for hardship they could.not stae payment amounts. They could not absolve the debt. Did state a settlement amount of the total debt 20-25 %. They said.no. They did say you can pick your amount.i stated d would .file bankruptcy. On the account a secondary user was also added which CapitalOne ran their credit as a primary user which showed up on a credit report. The secondary user will also file a bankruptcy. Three agents from this company also were asking about my personal conditions as to hardship,.

Complaint: I have a loan with CAPITAL ONE AUTO FINAN XXXX. I have always made all of my payments on time. One day I decided to check my credit on XXXX when I saw an alert come up on my phone, I immediately went on my computer, and I realized that there was a late payment on my XXXX, XXXX and XXXX credit reports. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record with this company. I tried contacting XXXX and CAPITAL ONE AUTO FINAN with no successful resolution. XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX are all reporting me late. There was definitely an error on their part, I always made payment on my mortgage a few weeks earlier than the due date, and always on time. I was never 30 days late five times, and I was never 60 days late.

Complaint: I contacted capital one numerous times. I disputed these fraudulent inquiries 4 times with XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. I contacted the cfpd and asked your company to investigate this.
I really need help removing fraudulent information that is being reported incorrectly on my credit report.
Capital one told the CFPB that thy investigated this and only found that 2 of the inquiries were fraudulent and the rest were validated. What human being in their right mind would apply for credit from the same time this many times? None, no one.
All these inquiries should be removed immediately. They know these inquiries are not mine. They know someone is contacting their company pretending to be me. So why won't they remove all of this information from their files and my credit report.
I asked them for signed contracts, documented proof and validation. They failed to provide me any of it.
How did they verify the rest of the inquiries and what is different between the two that were fraudulent and the rest that were not.
Theses are illegal, they are violations.

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: I canceled a service that required a {$4200.00} deposit for bathroom remodel. It was canceled within the cancelation period as stated in the contract and the merchant told me via text that I have a copy of that he has a 100 % refund policy. Merchant refuses to issue refund and told capital one that charges are valid and capital one sided with merchant. Attached are all supporting documentation. capital one credit card is not resolving issue.

Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Complaint: Merchant made unauthorized charge on my capital one credit card. Merchant saved my card in the square app as a recurring charge for a service that I canceled within the cancelation period. Merchant acknowledged this, and said he would dispute on my behalf and issue refund but did not. I contacted capital one credit card to let them know that this was a fraudulent charge, a charge that I did not authorize. Capital sided with the merchant and billed me regardless of all my supporting documentation from the merchant that I have in writing in the contract and text messages saying that the charge is unauthorized and that I am entitled to a full refund. Capital one is completely disorganized.

Complaint: Starting around XX/XX/2018 I was unable to access the money in my account. There was over {$50000.00} in the account. The website indicated I needed to reset my password, which the website would not allow me to do. The website indicated that I needed to call customer service. I spent over 1.5 hours on hold across 3 phone calls to customer service to get my password reset. I tried to transfer money out of the account and again was blocked from movement of money in my own account. After another 4 phone calls and 2 hours of wait time. I was finally helped by someone via " CHAT ''. The {$10000.00} was removed from my account, but, never deposited in the account it was to be put into. I received another email indicating my account transfer ability had been suspended. So, where was my {$10000.00}? They took it out of my account, but did not deposit it in the other account as requested. After several more phone calls, they finally agreed to put my money in the correct account. But only after 7 days, so who got the interest on that money ... .no small sum, {$10000.00}, for 7 days? On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a letter requesting that my account be closed and to transfer the remaining funds into the external account that was attached. This has never happened. I did transfer most of the money myself on XX/XX/2018.
