Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I made a balance transfer from my Capital One card to my XXXX XXXX. The balance transfer did not get applied to my XXXX XXXX, however I had the balance already charged to the Capital One account. As my XXXX XXXX card never got paid, I was essentially paying for two balances. After 2.5 years of reaching out to Capital One by phone calls and mail correspondence, and submitting complaints to the CFPB, XXXX who is backed by XXXX and Capital One were able to get this issue resolved and the credit applied back to my Capital One account in XX/XX/XXXX.
On one instance when I tried to get this fixed on one of the many phone calls, precisely in XX/XX/XXXX, I was told on a recorded line that I would get the interest that was charged to my Capital One account reversed. This never did happen, and I am requesting that the interest that has been charged for the course of 2.5 on the {$1600.00} be reversed.

Complaint: I have been reported to the credit bureau for 1 late payment over 30 days due to a yearly membership fee of {$59.00} THAT WAS DUE ON XX/XX/XXXX allthough this credit card has been paid in full since XX/XX/XXXX.
I have authorized CAPITALONE on several occasions to deduct minimum payments automatically from my bank account.
I spoke with the rep at Capitalone and they verified that they have all of my correct banking info. On file however, the automatic payment was never generated and therefore they have reported negative information on my credit bureau.

Complaint: The card company sent an offer for {$150.00} reward points if {$500.00} is spent within 3 months of the card being issued. I applied onXX/XX/XXXX and received the card and activated it onXX/XX/XXXX. I then used the card on XX/XX/XXXX for a total of {$510.00} meeting the requirement for the rewards. After receiving my statement and calling their customer service to have the points applied to my card balance, I was told they could not do so as they had a fraud alert on the account. Noone could tell me why. They asked me to send documents to establish who I was, which I did until they asked for copy of my social security card. I had already sent copy of a utility bill and drivers license, but have been told to never give copy of the SS card except to medical etc. I was told then that I couldn't even use the card, even though no one had ever reached out to me about that. One of the people I talked to agreed that since I couldn't use the card, the account should be closed, but said he would apply the points before closing. That didn't happen and now they say they can't apply the points because the account is closed. Their statement shows {$150.00} in points I want per the card agreement.

Threatened to sue you for very old debt
Complaint: On or around XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX claiming to be trying to collect a debt from a credit card from XXXX. I was threatened with a law suit, liens on my home and bank account. I got angry and he hung up on me. I felt bad so the next day I called this company back and spoke with a gentleman named XXXX XXXX I explained to him that I did not have the money to settle this debt, in the amount of XXXX, so I was offered a settlement amount of XXXX which I thought was something I could do given some time. XXXX asked me if I could pay XXXX and that would lock in the settlement amount, and that I would have until XX/XX/XXXX to pay the remaining balance of XXXX. I reluctantley gave him my checking account information, stating to him that I was not comfortable doing so, he promised me that no other monies would be taken out of my account without my ok. I was told that he would keep in touch to see where I was financially. I spoke with XXXX again on XX/XX/XXXX at which time I was thinking that I would have the money in the bank, but was not 100 % sure ... so he said he would call me the day before it was due, which would've been XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX had contacted me, at which time I told him that I did not have the money in my account, he informed that by not settling this case I would be sued, I would have a lien on my home, on my bank account ... and I told him that unfortunately I would have to take that chance I had not realized that they money had already been deducted from my account ... he acted as though he had no idea. On XX/XX/XXXX a deposit had been made into my account, which I was using for my mortgage payment. Low and behold that on XX/XX/XXXX I went to the ATM to make a small withdrawal, it was rejected stating there were insufficient funds, I then looked at my account on my phone and saw that on XX/XX/XXXX a payment of XXXX was withdrawn and sent to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was livid, this left my account with XXXX in it, which in turn my house payment bounced. I called XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and he told me that is what my agreement was, that I was told that the payment was due on the XXXX, and that I postdated the checking information for that day. I told him that I did no such thing, I told XXXX on the XXXX that I would not have the money for XX/XX/XXXX. Therefore they took the money out of my account without permission, they stole my money ... .I have tried to email them, but it comes back stating access denied ... ..I am at wits end. I have contacted the XXXX XXXX 's office in XXXX County. I have also filed a complaint with the XXXX ... ..I will pursue charges if forced too.

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: I have repeatedly attempted to contact capital one to dispute billing errors and identify unauthorized charges. However, Capital One has removed the email links and fax numbers from their contact information, disabled my ability to chat online with them, and removed my ability to dispute transactions online. By the time I get home every day, the dispute department is closed making it all but impossible to report these issues. I have attempted to notify Capital ONe via social media who only points me to one of the avenues I Just listed which are not available. I have wanted to reassert the following transactions which were rebilled to me in error : XX/XX/XXXX TRANSACTION REBILL for {$50.00} and XX/XX/XXXX TRANSACTION REBILL for {$100.00}. Additionally, I've attempted to dispute the following charges through multiple venues, yet capital one keeps pointing me elsewhere : XXXX XXXX XXXX {$260.00}, XXXX XXXX XXXX {$170.00}, XXXX XXXX XXXX {$12.00}, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX {$42.00}, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX {$22.00} and XXXX XXXX XXXX {$210.00}. I have attempted to notify Capital One via the online chat when it was working, and through the online dispute option which never worked. The online dispute button asked me to call in and the chat department always asked me to call in as well, which when I have the time to call in the dispute dept is closed. I have tried notifying them via social media, which does no good either. They have made it impossible to exercise my right to dispute billing errors and unauthorized transactions.

Problem during payment process
Complaint: I was switching my checking account from XXXX Bank to XXXX XXXX Bank. I had an existing autopay agreement for my Capital One credit card which was setup with my XXXX Bank checking account. I updated the autopay information with my new XXXX XXXX XXXX account. I waited to close my XXXX Bank account until the first autpay was completed successfully on my new XXXX XXXX account which occurred on XX/XX/2017. The next month Capital One processed the autopay from my old XXXX Bank account which had been closed, therefore resulting in a late payment. The next month they didn't process the automatic payment at all which is when I noticed the problem. I contacted Capital One immediately to process a payment to bring the account current and make sure that I was not going to be responsible for a late payment on my credit report. The representative fixed the automatic payment issue and assured me that because this late payment happened as a result of an error with their system that it would not show a late payment on my credit report. After checking my credit I noticed that it was indeed reporting a late payment as a result of this situation. I have contacted Capital One multiple times in an attempt to fix this issue with no cooperation on their end.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I logged into my Capital One 360 Account to check prior amounts and found that almost my entire Account had been seized as Pending INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE in what I was told in the immediate following telephone call to Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. was an Internal Revenue Service tax lien, bank XXXX XXXX for 182 days until XX/XX/XXXX. I knew I did not owe the Internal Revenue Service any money and I was told by a bank employee and throughout this matter to contact " the person '' XXXX XXXX XXXX and was given a telephone number. The funds illegally coded and seized as INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE tax lien, bank XXXX were in fact protected, exempt insurance check funds from my accident, injury claim. For weeks employees of Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. pointed the finger at each other for being the responsible party to fax a letter of release to the other. I later found out exactly what had transpired when I first accessed the county court docket on XX/XX/XXXX with assistance from the Clerk of the Courts as to how to gain access to my case. In XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX wrote off a credit card debt in my name. In XX/XX/XXXX a server sent by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. appeared at a residence that I was living at and in not knowing what it was about did not take the serve and was read by myself in court documents that the papers were left outside. I proceeded by serving XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, it's associates, any subsidiaries thereof with non-disclosure and a cease and desist as they did not provide any proof of the only stated XXXX XXXX and total debt amount as there were extenuating circumstances as to others accessing said account. I even reached out to the representative of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. and received no response. I never heard from any individual working for or representing XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. after that, but in researching the county court docket they proceeded and received a judgement for the amount of the write off. This was in XX/XX/XXXX. According to the county court docket approximately two months after I deposited the insurance checks for my accident, injury claim in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. and would follow with filing for a Writ of Garnishment and did so serve my bank Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. with a true copy of such XX/XX/XXXX. Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. had 21 days to respond. Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. never responded to the served XX/XX/XXXX Writ of Garnishment placing them in Default and responsible for the collection, debt plus fees to XXXX XXXX. I was never legally notified or served per the laws and the statutes of the State of Florida regarding the Writ of Garnishment by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. nor XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. whom would take over the case. An AMENDED WRIT OF GARNISHMENT followed XX/XX/XXXX. I don't know how an AMENDED WRIT OF GARNISHMENT was allowed to be Ordered when Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. had already defaulted on the served Writ of Garnishment XX/XX/XXXX. In addition, Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. did not respond to the XX/XX/XXXX AMENDED WRIT OF GARNISHMENT within 21 days placing them yet again in Default and legally responsible for paying the collection, debt plus fees to XXXX XXXX per the statutes and laws of the State of Florida. The case was closed by the county court XX/XX/XXXX. I did not find out until the December 4, XXXX county court docket research discoveries that XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. had used on the legal documents a temporary address that I had vacated on XX/XX/XXXX as my last known address. Whatever legal documents mailed to or served upon that temporary, few months address I vacated the year prior on XX/XX/XXXX were not received by me. Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. was in full possession of my current address of almost a year at that point and could have provided XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. said. Being a collection agency and representing Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. in past cases as is well public on the internet and a conflict of interest, I believe XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. in the very least would be privee to the most updated address information. As was told to me multiple times by Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. employees, Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. has it's " own XXXX XXXX XXXX Department ''. I don't know what, if any case involvement as far as representation XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. has in defending Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. Three way telephone conversations took place between myself, the Internal Revenue Service employees and Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. employees in which Internal Revenue Service employees stated to the prior that I did not owe the Internal Revenue Service any money nor did they, the Internal Revenue Service issue such tax lien, XXXX XXXX seizure and furthermore was stated to release my funds immediately. I was told by Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. employees that " Customer Satisfaction '' was above management and that if I was not happy that I could just go ahead and contact them. Countless, countless telephone calls to Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. requesting that my funds be released, telling employees of that the funds were protected and exempt and that Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. was responsible for the collection, debt plus fees for Default not once, but twice and they still would not allow me to speak to any individual in the Legal Department, repeatedly kept referring me back to calling XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. and the telephone number or " Customer Satisfaction ''. In XX/XX/XXXX I received the Writ of Garnishment seizure letter 19 days after it was written and held for 13 days more until physically being mailed out from Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. with only the first page of the XX/XX/XXXX AMENDED WRIT OF GARNISHMENT enclosed and date stamped as having first been received by Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. XX/XX/XXXX. Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. illegally coded and seized my protected, exempt insurance check accident, injury claim funds as an Internal Revenue Service tax lien, XXXX XXXX five months after they defaulted on the served XX/XX/XXXX Writ of Garnishment and three months after the defaulted XX/XX/XXXX AMENDED WRIT OF GARNISHMENT. A representative from " Customer Satisfaction '' sent me an email XX/XX/XXXX requesting the legal documentation and stated that they would review such with the Legal Department. When has " Customer Satisfaction '' been held above management and calls the shots as to what is seen or not seen by the LegaXXXX Department in any corporation? Apparently an employee of Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. became concerned and gave this representative a listen to one recorded XX/XX/XXXX telephone conversation of what had transpired. I had already filed a Motion with the county court by the time the representative emailed me. I did email back this representative XX/XX/XXXX with an attached document of all pertinent case details. I received no response. More telephone calls followed by myself to Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. with the same you need to contact XXXX XXXX XXXX. I contacted XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX to let them know that Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. defaulted not once, but twice and was therefore legally responsible for the collection, debt plus fees and of their attorney 's conduct. XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. was served via the United States Postal Service my Motion to the county court and all attached documents. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. knew that Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. defaulted on the served XX/XX/XXXX Writ of Garnishment. XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. knew that Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. defaulted on the served XX/XX/XXXX Writ of Garnishment and defaulted on the XX/XX/XXXX AMENDED WRIT OF GARNISHMENT. I provided documents to XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. which were photocopies of the deposited insurance checks for my accident, injury claim and per the State of Florida laws and statutes provided in my Motion to the county court as I was never legally notified or served and were so protected under such stated exemptions claimed as were additionally claimed personal property exemptions. I received no response what so ever from the representative of " Customer Satisfaction ''. XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. has taken no actions for the Default not once, but twice on the part of Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. and in seeking payment for the collection, debt plus fees that they are legally responsible to XXXX XXXX for. I most recently obtained the email addresses of the CEO of Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. and the heads of other departments and forwarded to them the prior correspondence and document that received no response from the representative of " Customer Satisfaction '', additionally outlined the entire case again and attached copies of the defaulted served XX/XX/XXXX Writ of Garnishment, XX/XX/XXXX AMENDED WRIT OF GARNISHMENT and the dated, stamped envelope, first page of Writ of Garnishment seizure letter from Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. mailed to me in XX/XX/XXXX as well as the first page of the enclosed XX/XX/XXXX AMENDED WRIT OF GARNISHMENT date stamped as having first been received by Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. on XX/XX/XXXX. I repeatedly stated in prior writing that I wanted to resolve the matter prior to taking further legal actions or seeking further legal damages, that it was a simple fix of just releasing my funds and that Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. was the legally responsible party and still no release, still no acknowledgement and still no contact from any individual from either XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX,, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. or Capital One Bank, Capital One N.A. All parties of which have past now put me in emergency need as was so stated by myself in my correspondence. My funds should have been released immediately by all parties involved. Complaint: I am disputing the charge of {$42.00} interest made to my account on XX/XX/XXXX, leaving my account with a balance of {$42.00} due on XX/XX/XXXX. I paid my entire balance of {$2800.00} on XX/XX/XXXX, leaving a balance of {$0.00}. Imagine my surprise on XX/XX/XXXX, when I checked my account to find that even after I had already paid my entire balance as it was shown on my bill due XX/XX/XXXX to find that even though I had paid my full balance as shown on the bill, that I now owe more money?
I called customer service as Capital One does not give customers the capability to dispute finance charges online as it does with disputed charges or purchases. I was then told that because I did not pay off my full balance for two ( 2 ) consecutive months that I was charged for interest in arrears for the month of XX/XX/XXXX and that is why I still owed {$42.00}.
This is an unfair charge and should be removed from my account without further delay. It is unfair because there is no amount on the face of the bill which states : Note, if you have not paid your total account off last month, you will owe {$42.00} in interest in addition for the prior month to the charges shown. Also, if this is the case, {$42.00} should have been added into the balance to be paid in full and I would have paid it as part of the full balance.

Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Complaint: I have an account that is showing charged off written off that is continuing to report with a balance as well as it being included in my utilization causing my UTI to be high on an account that I no longer have. Also each month this account reports as CO=charge off. Under the account history the AB is reporting monthly, however the amount is incorrect. The account is showing on my credit report twice with two different balances. There is an incorrect high balance amount. It's also showing past due when that is incorrect. On the Credit Report there is missing information. The terms and monthly payment is not on the credit report.

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: This is the second time I have filed a dispute on my capital one credit card. Both disputes have been mismanaged by the bank. Each time I file a dispute, Capital one never sends out the mailing showing me the provider response nor telling me the deadline to submit information to prove my portion of the claim. This time I filed a dispute on XX/XX/XXXX against the XXXX XXXX for {$6700.00} of a {$7000.00} purchase. The amount was credited back to my account but debited once the merchant sent capital one a response. I never received that response by mail to this day although Capital one claims it was sent to me. That mailing was to also tell me the required documentation for my response. Since I didnt receive the mail, I called capital oneover the phone to get that information. I gathered all documentation and evidence as required by capital one including a second opinion from a doctor. I submitted all documentation before the deadline of XX/XX/XXXX. I called capital one on XX/XX/XXXX and confirmed that all necessary documentation was received by Capital one. I confirmed several times after for the next month with different representatives that nothing else was required. Capital One maliciously closed my dispute stating that they did not receive my documentation on XX/XX/XXXX. They are participating in bad business practices and protecting unethical and scam artist merchants.
