Complaint: I have a loan with CAPITAL ONE. I have always made my payments on time. For some reason I realized that there was a late payment on my credit report. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record with this company. I tried contacting XXXX XXXX and XXXX and CAPITAL ONE were no successful resolution. Complaint: In XXXX I contacted XXXX XXXX, XXXX in regard to info that they had sent to me in response to my request for validation for the Capital One credit card account they say that I owe. I told them then that the account in question was not my account however instead of researching their records they continue to pursue me for an account that is not mine. Last Wednesday I reached out to the capital one CEO XXXX XXXX and sent them an email requesting that they research their records as well in regards to this account. Still I have not gotten one response from them. I tried to dispute this account again with the credit bureaus but they said that its already been disputed and they will not look at it again. Then today I received a letter from a company called XXXX XXXX XXXX indicating that their client XXXX XXXX XXXX authorized them to offer me a settlement on a debt that XXXX has not been able to validate nor have they provided any information that shows that this is my account even after repeated requests for that information. I am requesting assistance in this matter and am ready to file suit against this company for repeatedly putting incorrect information in my credit file even after I have asked them to validate the debt. I am seeking restitution for the issues and the many setbacks to me being able to purchase my home and be given other credit opportunities.

Complaint: I was behind on payments I spoke to Capital One and asked them if we can do a payment plan till I could catch up They put me on a program and they set up auto withdrawls for the payments so it would not be late, They have taken the payments on the XXXX of both Months XXXX and XXXX and still reported us late to the credit bureau. I have called numerous times and they all say no we didnt report you late and when they stay on the phone longer they - we dont know why this happened - write a letter - that is the only way to fix it.
I wrote a letter and send it and they have not fixed the problem I have asked them for a letter to show that the payments were made on time they tell me they cant do that and will not help me.

Complaint: i signed up for autopay on the capital one company website back in 2015. At no fault of mine the company website was experiencing some problems and though it showed that the process was complete it really did not go through. Once I found out my next payment was not paid, I called capital one for a solution to the problem. They had me reapply for autopay with a rep to confirm it via telephone and they apologized promised me that they would not report it late on my credit profile. Capital One has consistently reported me as having a 30 day late payment on my credit since this occurrence. Ive called them At least 15 times of the past few years and they continue to not own up the their promise. This is horrible service and affecting my credit eligibility. This should be illegal, a verbal promise is a verbal contract and should be honored.
