Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: I used my credit card to purchase sensors from XXXX XXXX XXXX. And then after paying them with a check from my monthly bill. They billed my credit card for the same amount again. And I never gave them permission to use my credit card for billing. I called Capital One and they started a fraud case. They said that they would send me out paperwork to fill out. They never did send out anything for me to return.They did however send me a letter. Saying because I didn't provide them proof. They were giving them the money. And I told them I never authorized them to use my card. And they were helping them commit fraud. So I closed my account with them. I have never seen any credit card company approve a transaction a customer didn't. If you don't see something wrong here I wonder. I thought it was my credit card not Capital One 's. I didn't know they got to approve what I purchased with my card. Maybe they should make the monthly payments too.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I tried to use XXXX with my bank Capital One to send funds to my daughter. I entered my daughter 's email and XXXX accepted it and took money out of my account. Afterwards it realized that the email address was not registered and now it will take 3 days before the funds are transferred once the email address is registered. How about they check the email address before taking the money from my bank account?
When I called to cancel the transfer and get my money back so I could use another transfer service they said it was not possible to cancel the wire transfer.

Complaint: I attempted to payoff my account using the mobile app on XX/XX/XXXX for a total amount of {$9100.00}. The payment was returned. I contacted Capital One and they informed me that my financial institution, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, did not recognized the payment since XXXX XXXX was under my husband 's name. On XX/XX/XXXX, my husband reached out to Capital One and XXXX XXXX and provided permission for the payment to be completed. Again the payment was returned stating that the incorrect account number was provided. I confirmed with XXXX XXXX that the account number was correct. I submitted another payment via the mobile app on XX/XX/XXXX for the amount of {$9900.00}, which is the total payoff amount. That payment was returned because Capital One processed the payment incorrectly. On XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke to a representative over the phone and they reached out XXXX XXXX, at which point the XXXX ( XXXX XXXX representative ) explained step by step how to process the payment.
I was happy that the payment finally went through. I logged on to see how many reward points I received and that's when I realized that Capital One 's Fraud department closed my account. XXXX XXXX wrote a letter to Capital One explaining the error. Capital One promised to review the case and get back to me within 3 days. It has now been over two months with no follow up. I finally called them back and they stated that their decision to close the account stands. I paid my account in full and they closed my venture card, without allowing me to utilize my rewards. They received a letter from my other financial institution stating that this was an error on both bank 's behalf. I have never been late with a Capital One payment and have always been in good standing. XXXX XXXX has even wrote in the letter that the funds have always been in the account. I would appreciate any assistance in helping me have my Capital One Venture card reopened along with my rewards reinstated.

Confusing or misleading advertising about the credit card
Complaint: The company has offered me promotions to pay off my card and get it back since I was on XXXX leave. No matter how much I pay they refuse to unrestrict card and will continue to start promotion over. I asked my complaint be forward to the corporate office bo response they keep blaming on the system. I want the notes reread and the calls pulled. They are lying just keep adding extra fees.

Complaint: Capital One Card. I get my statements by email, have for years. I get a notice that my statement is prepared and I go online and set it up to pay before the due date through my bank. Then I get a notice a few days before due date. Have done this for years. In XXXX I did not get a bill or any notice. I had a large refund on there I knew from an insurance policy so I knew it would be a while to draw down the credit. Did not get the first or second notice. Also didn't get notice of my XXXX statement. Went on line in XXXX and saw that they prepared a statement in XXXX and never sent it to me. They hit me with no payment fee of {$25.00} and interest. Also my XXXX statement was on there from a week earlier. I keep all my emails and went back thru them and I did not receive any emails from them in XXXX or XXXX. I checked by name and by the dates of their statements going before and after a week on each. No notice. I quickly paid XXXX and called them today XX/XX/19. I spoke to a person named XXXX who said that they are having problems with their computer system and it has had a good bit of downtime. Seems odd that I missed two notices for XXXX and one for XXXX. Said he can't due anything about the interest and a supervisor said the same thing. They can't explain why I didn't get billed and aren't concerned that it is still happening.

Complaint: I am currently in the process of buying a house, and I was checking my credit report and I discovered that two companies that are effecting my credit score in a negative way. These companies are Capital One Bank ( credit card ) which I called on XX/XX/2019 and spoke to customer representative XXXX about removing the account or the negative remarks. She refused to do so because she said she can not prove that the account is mine. Afterwards, I attempted to call XXXX XXXX XXXX ( credit card ) but the number that I found which is XXXX was a scam phone number connected to a sweepstakes.

Complaint: I am attempting to obtain the XXXX form from my mortgage company in order to file my XXXX taxes. Capital One was my mortgage company for close to 10 years until XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX they sold my mortgage to " XXXX XXXX XXXX ''. The new company can provide XXXX information only for XX/XX/XXXX to the present. They told me I need to go back to Capital One for any information I need before that date.
Here 's the problem I'm confronted with. Capital One completely erased any information related to their mortgages off of their website so any mortgage information you want to obtain before XX/XX/XXXX is gone. Capital One no longer has anyone I can contact to ask any questions about my mortgage. The only Phone number ( XXXX ) XXXX has a recording that tells you there is no one available to help you with mortgage questions. You need to write a letter with any questions to a P.O.Box.
Capital One XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Minnesota XXXX The recording states they will send out XXXX forms by the end of XX/XX/XXXX. I did not receive the XXXX. If I write them a letter at this point I do not know that I will receive a XXXX in time to file my taxes by XX/XX/XXXX as there is no one there I can contact.
In addition Capital One paid some taxes for me in the amount of {$2300.00} for XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. They charged me {$3200.00} in XX/XX/XXXXfor taxes. I want to know the reason for the discrepancy and get an accounting because I do not have an escrow account with them.

Confusing or misleading advertising about the credit card
Complaint: I continually get offers from Capital One. I have, twice, called XXXX to opt-out of receiving these solicitations to NO avail. I have called Capital One and was told I would NOT be getting any more offers. I was even asked why. Why? 25 % interest is exorbitant. I have XXXX at 17 %. I am so tired of getting these offers at my home address and at my post office box. THEY WILL NOT STOP THESE UNSOLICITED MAILINGS.

Complaint: Capital One took over the credit card program for Cabela 's in XX/XX/2018. They changed my account number and my due date before sending me a new card, which meant I was unable to access my account to pay on time. They then charged me a late payment fee and interest, removed the interest grace period and then started charging residual interest even when my account was paid in full. I have never had a late payment on this card until Capital One took over. It was Capital One 's poor handling of the transition that caused the late fees and interest, and when trying to remedy with Capital One, they were rude and condescending on top of it all.

Complaint: I went to on XX/XX/2019 XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, MA XXXX to purchase a new car. I was Preapproved by XXXX XXXX. I told my sale representative that I would only want the dealership to pull credit and only send my application only to XXXX XXXX. I stated that I do not want any other credit to inquire on my credit report. I explained this to Sale rep XXXX XXXX my concerns several times ( 4 times to be exacted ). XXXX ensured me that he would let the finance manager know my request. I took it a step further and also write on my credit application to only work with XXXX XXXX.
