Complaint: XX/XX/2019 I checked my Capital One App, it had an item hold, and I couldnt see what it was. The App also showed a {$35.00} overdraft fee pending. They have not been holding any items under my account number, nor having any overdrafts pending. What have they started doing to my account number? I have had my account there for years. This is against the law. I called customer service. Again they say they cant remove the pending overdraft fee until it posts. How is your agency protecting me as a consumer?

Complaint: Good morning, Capital One was given a pay-off in full on both of my credit cards on XX/XX/2019. Both balances were at XXXX. On XX/XX/2019 Capital One changed interest on a XXXX balance. After calling I was told that they charge interest on the previous month if there is a balance. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was hung up on. After calling back I was told a different story as to why the interest was charged. After asking again to speak to a supervisor after being transferred a second time, again I was hung up on. After a third phone call and much frustration, I paid the bills in full to make it stop. How can a credit card company get away with treatment like this? I also refinanced my auto loan and the payment was sent by XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2019. By XX/XX/2019 Capital One had not posted the pay-off. I called the Credit Union and they called Capital One. Capital One stated they did not have the funds. When I checked on XX/XX/2019 the balance was at XXXX for the car loan. Had XXXX XXXX not made the call, Capital One would have continued to charge me. How can such a supposed reputable company have such ugly practices? Especially for what was a loyal customer.

Complaint: I file a dispute with Capital One regarding a charge on my account in XX/XX/2019. Upon filing the dispute, I was advised that I may or may not receive a provisional credit on my account. After filing dispute with Capital One, the company that I originally had issue with, offered a full refund. They advised me of the time frame that it would take to receive refund. I called Capital One and advised them that the dispute had been resolved, and was advised not to close out the claim, wait until the refund was actually received and that Capital One would close the claim themselves. I received the refund from the original vendor I received a letter on XX/XX/XXXX from Capital One that I would be re-billed ( credit removed ) That same day, Capital One did a re-bill on my account. However, the representative gave me a credit rather than re-bill. I had also been told that I would automatically be eligible for credit limit increase in XX/XX/XXXX. I was never advised of any error, mistake, correction etc. On XXXX XXXX, 19XXXX, XX/XX/2019 I checked my account, I was preparing to pay account down. I made a substantial payment on my account XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, upon checking my account to verify the payment had posted, I was shocked to see Capital One had re-billed my account twice to correct the error made by Capital One ( human error ). Upon speaking with Capital One, I was told this action also done on XX/XX/XXXX, the same day my statement closed. However this action did not show up on app or capitalone.com. These actions caused my account to now be close to 300 % over credit limit and close to 100 point drop in credit score. I still have yet to receive any written correspondence from Capital One. I was in the funding process for my business. Unfortunately, Capital One 's error and has cause my business to not be able to qualify to the funding at this time. To and insult to injury ... .my has approx. 7-8 accounts

Complaint: My card was being used fraudulently. I had 3 transactions that I did not recognize among the most obvious ones. These are the transactions in question : XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX They are placing transactions on my card that do not belong to me. Once I raised that flag they opened a fraud case and wanted me to pay the full amount of the card before they would refund any money. They have shady practices and are accusing card members transactions being made when they are not.

Complaint: I moved XX/XX/XXXX and called in a change of address to Newman Marcus. I have a number of cards and all the others changed my address so everything went fine. I dont use the Newman card that often but used it at XXXX of XXXX. I never received a bill and didnt think of it because I dont always use their card. I only use it when it gets a discount. I tried to use my card last month and it was declined. I inquired as to why and was told of the charges. I let them know that I had not received a statement. I let them know I had records of changing the address. I told them all the other changed it with no issues. They asked if I had a Saks card. I told them yes so the looked and could see that I changed my address on it in XXXX of XXXX. The had my correct phone number and email but sent nothing. I told them I wanted to pay this right away but would only pay the original amount of {$940.00} and not the XXXX they say I owe now. I also asked that they report the the credit bureau that this is their error and to remove it from my report. I left several messages starting on XX/XX/XXXX for the customer service manager at the XXXX store Mr XXXX XXXX. He never returned my calls. I called the credit department XX/XX/XXXX they said the would take a couple of months interest off and I said I wanted to speak to someone who could make it right. They told me I would receive a call back in 7-10 days. Nothing happened I downloaded my account info and called the number on the downloaded statement. I was told the same thing again after being placed on hold for 24 minutes. I asked for a supervisor. 36 more minutes later a supervisor named XXXX told me the same thing. I asked for escalation but he informed me that he was the highest person on the matter. I asked for his last name but he would only provide his employee ID XXXX. I want to pay the bill right away but want assurances that they will drop the extra charges and report the error the the credit bureau.

Complaint: This is an ADDITION to Formal Complaint # XXXX-XXXX that went TOTALLY IGNORED by Capital One via CFPB : Capital One has committed illegal extortion against myself as a United States Citizen and victim of Identity Theft. I am being FORCED TO PAY all {$710.00} ( Due XX/XX/XXXX ) of the CONFIRMED FRAUDULENT CHARGES of Capital One Mastercard Account # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX despite the Mastercard Zero Liability Protection that I am entitled to by law with all requirements being met and fulfilled under the Mastercard Liability Protection Policy. I moved in XXXX of XXXX and noticed my credit card missing after I settled in later in the month and called Capital One to report my missing card which had no previous balance on it. I was unaware of it but soon learned after calling Capital Ones Customer Service line at ( XXXX ) XXXX-XXXX that all phone operations were being handled in the country of XXXX with poorly trained employees that could speak and comprehend very little English ( if any ) to save the bank ( which has NO physical branches in the United States of America despite contrary claims otherwise in U.S. national television advertisements Capital One Cafes ) from paying higher wages to U.S. workers and to avoid U.S. taxes on employees. After speaking to a XXXX Resident and trying to tell them what happened, they sounded very confused and had to look up my English words to interpret what I said. The only coherent words that I could understand is, Card on its way. You understand? My mail was forwarded by the United States Postal Service for three months as per their policy. I later got a forwarded DUPLICATE card in the mail with the SAME ACCOUNT NUMBER. The XXXX employee didnt even close the account to prevent theft or update my address as requested. I called to complain again in XXXX after receiving my forwarded statement that had {$710.00} ( Due XX/XX/XXXX ) of UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES on it. The XXXX employee was fast to interrupt me and say Those charges made with card in hand. Not fraud.!! I called again and asked to speak to an American and they DENIED my request. I looked up how to say I need a new card in XXXX and they hung up on me. Later, a new card was forwarded to me by the United States Postal Service with a new account number and I received a forwarded letter stating that I was responsible for ALL UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES of {$710.00} ( Due XX/XX/XXXX ). Since then I have made numerous attempts to change my address by calling other corporate Capital One phone numbers and finally being granted brief access to an American Employee in XXXX, Virginia. To this day, I still dont know if my address has been updated or my phone number. I have been laughed at repeatedly and lied to at least half a dozen times that someone would CALL me and they never do not even when I tell them to call me on my new number. Capital One has also DENIED my request to close this account so I may pursue the banks criminal actions legally. I have filed a Consumer Identity Theft Report with the Federal Trade Commission but Capital One REFUSES to take it and does not recognize a police report in its investigations. I reached out to Mastercard International and filed a formal complaint against Capital One. I also filed a complaint with the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, the Attorney Generals Office, and contacted XXXX XXXX ( Senior Investigative Reporter for XXXX XXXX XXXX/XXXX-XXXX ). *To date ( XX/XX/XXXX XXXX Capital One has ignored all correspondence via previous complaint and responded to the United States Government Agency ( CFPB ) that this is reported to that they will take a few more MONTHS to reply. I have received a Capital One credit card statement due XX/XX/XXXX with a RANSOM DEMAND stating that if I do not pay the entire balance, then EXCESSIVE FINANCE FEES and EXCESSIVE LATE FEES WILL COMPOUND TO HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS AND MY CREDIT WILL BE DESTROYED. Previously, Capital one lied and said that they would take those late fees and finance fees off as well as readjusting to the correct APR as FEDERAL LAW REQUIRES, however the MIGHTY CAPITAL ONE is ABOVE ALL FEDERAL LAW!!!!!! I have filed charges with the United States Attorney General 's Office and look forward to meeting these XXXX in a highly publicized FEDERAL COURT HEARING!!!

Complaint: There a numerous hard inquiries on my report for Auto Loans from the year 2017 and they were all made within 14 days of each other. These types of inquiries of the same nature should be shown as one inquiry however they are coming up individually. According to the FCRA this is incorrect reporting and violates the consumers rights. I would like for these hard inquiries from 2017 to be removed. Starting XX/XX/2017 to XX/XX/2017. There are also hard inquiries that reflect I requested credit from them, XXXX. XXXX and XXXX and XXXX. I have never requested credit from these people. They should be removed from all credit reporting bureaus.
