Complaint: Capital One Customer Number : XXXX. On XX/XX/2019 myself ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) was approved for a Secured Capital One MasterCard, where I deposit {$49.00}, and receive a {$200.00} dollar Credit limit. And where the Deposit is refundable. Also after 5 On-Time payments will receive an increase in credit. See attached XX/XX/2019 email. After mailing Lawful Payment via Money Order dated XX/XX/2019 ( see attached ), the Lawful Payment was refused, See Capital One letter dated XX/XX/2019. Also, lawful payment via XXXX Visa Debit Card are also refused. Capital One only accepts personal Check 's, or checking account with bank tracking number. This strips away the Consumer Protection when paying via XXXX Visa Debit Card the payment will only be authorized if there is sufficient funds in the checking account, thereby avoiding Overdraft Fee 's of {$36.00} dollars, a Consumer Protection granted by Act of Congress. Capital One is surcomeventing ( getting around, undermind ) this Consumer Protection by demanding a personal Check or Bank Tracking number and Account number.

Complaint: This complaint is to the dispute the inaccuracy of a closed account with Capital One Auto Financing, account number XXXX. It shows that this account became a charge off when in fact this account was paid off on time. XXXX was the only bureau that had it correct as paid as agreed. As of today XXXX status has changed to paid charge off after being closed for 2 years. This is reflected on all 3 bureaus, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX XXXX which is affecting my score and credit worthiness. I had not missed a payment or ever been late and all of a sudden on the very last payment it shows I didn't pay on time. I have proof that this account was paid on time according to my bank statement. I ordered a transaction history report from Capital One Auto Financing that shows inaccuracies regarding their reporting to each of the bureaus. For example below are a just a couple of inaccuracies I discovered. In XX/XX/2015, XXXX Report shows ND for no data recorded. But when you look at the Capital One Transaction History Report, a payment was recorded XX/XX/2015. XXXX XXXX shows a payment for XX/XX/2015. XXXX does not. XXXX shows all payments recorded correctly. Next one in XX/XX/2015 XXXX XXXX Report shows NR ( not reported ). But when you look at the Capital One Transaction History Report a payment was recorded XX/XX/2015. XXXX shows a payment for XX/XX/2015. XXXX XXXX does not. XXXX shows all payments recorded correctly. These are just a few of the inaccuracies there are many more that follow.

The attached letter shows under CFPB Case No. XXXX and Capital One Case No. XXXX that the amount of {$31.00} was permanently credited to my account. As it was explained that someone hacked my account at this merchant to impersonate me. It would be rather contradicting for one charge to be permanently removed and the other charge reapplied to the account, being the same merchant. Supporting documentation attached to this complaint.

Complaint: XXXX of XXXX I Paid off my Cabelas visa card using the phone automated system. I noticed in XXXX that they were still charging my bank account so I called them and found out I still owed approx XXXX . The lady on the phone could see I had made the payment so she looked into it and I had to get my bank on the phone. We did a conference call and found out that XXXX had refunded my account the payment because they were changing over to Captial 1. I decided to keep the account in auto pay because I needed the money for medical bills at the time. Then a few month later I found out I was being charged late fees on my account so I called again. In the change from XXXX to Capital one the auto pay was changed from making the min payment each month to a set amount of XXXX . The monthly bill was XXXX. They could not tell me how my payment had been changed nor would they fix the error. I called several times trying to get it resolved and finally sold a car and paid them off. I am trying to purchase a house and now it has gravely affected my credit score even though I paid them off. I paid them off because I was tired of dealing with the way things were being handled. I had not purchased anything on the card since XXXX of XXXX because the card had been hit with fraud twice in two months so I never activated the last card and was just working on paying it off. I think its an simple error when the companies changed over but why should I have to pay for it. I did get a notice that they were changing companies but from what I remember from the letter that nothing with payments were to change. The letter was basically saying that Cabelas was changing to Capital one. Capital one is the one who charged me late fees not XXXX. I think this is also an indication of an error in transition. I tried to reason with XXXX from capital one today and still no headways.

Complaint: Capital One Venture Rewards card advertises the ability to transfer points to partner airlines. I am a cardmember. I also have a XXXX XXXX frequent flier account with XXXX XXXX and Capital One is advertising a promotional rewards point transfer to this program during the current month. There is an apostrophe in my last name. This punctuation exists on my drivers license and passport, and the airline asks that the name on my frequent flier profile match to those documents. So it exists on my frequent flier account also. Capital One has a system that can not support this punctuation. I attempted to contact them to spell my name correctly, and they informed me that I am not eligible for this card benefit unless I update my frequent flier account so that it won't match my ID. Their agent was very friendly but told me that they would not take any action to help me, and that their system issues are my problem. While not intentional, this treatment is discriminatory because other cardholders are able to use the benefit, and I am not. I pay the same fee as those customers, and I strongly believe I should be entitled to the same services as everyone else.
