Complaint: Capitol One sent me an advertisement for a Quicksilver credit card quoting me a 16 % APR after XX/XX/2020 so I applied and was approved. However when my credit card terms and conditions arrived today they had increased their APR after XX/XX/2020 to roughly 26 %. I called Capitol One to try and correct what I assumed was a mistake both both a worker named XXXX and his supervisor XXXX told me that they couldn't change the APR so I closed the account. Capitol One is effectively baiting and switching their customers. This is immoral and ( I assume ) illegal as they did not honor the APR terms that they had guaranteed me.

Complaint: Despite the fact that I responded to CapitalOne regarding dispute # XXXX and submitted requested documents on time, they paid {$530.00} to XXXX XXXX who fraudulently charged my credit card for a service they did not provide. XXXX XXXX provided no proof to CapitalOne that they paid {$530.00} dollars to transport my vehicle to Florida as they claimed ; yet CapitalOne paid them and refuses to credit my account. Enclosed you will find an email where XXXX acknowledges that the job was cancelled ; yet they refuse to credit my account. After filing the dispute with CapitalOne, XXXX reported fraudulent statements claiming that I signed documents I did not sign, and claiming they paid {$530.00} dollars to a hauler they did not pay. I have enclosed a copy of a postal money order receipt showing that I was the one who paid the hauler. I have also enclosed snapshots of a text message proving I cancelled the job.

Complaint: To whom it may concern. My name is XXXX XXXX and Capital One filed a suit against me on XX/XX/XXXX. Capital One and Its Attorney 's XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX filed a suit against me without me being able to dispute the validity of the Debt. No Demand letter was sent out from the firm prior to filing suit. In addition, from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX Capital One violated my rights under the FDCPA numerous times and contacted my brother on the debt. Capital One responded on XX/XX/XXXX and acknowledged that they contacted my Brother in error even though I revoked authorization to use his email as a form of Contact. Attached is the response from Capital One showing that they did contact My brother without my Authorization. Capital One then tried to downplay the Severity of the FDCPA violation and offered a small credit to the account instead. I do not accept the resolution givin and especially now that suit was wrongfully filed against me. In all fairness in light of Capital One 's FDCPA violation I will not take any Legal Action on this Violation if Capital One agrees to Dismiss the Suit With Prejudice. Please note Authorization was revoked to contact my brother email address regarding the account on XX/XX/XXXX, Capital One then contacted my brother numerous times after resulting in multiple FDCPA violations. Thank you.

Complaint: On XXXX19 Capital One closed my account. I had a XXXX credit line. They are not giving me a specific reason for the closure. I was never late and I pay the bills way ahead of time. I've trying to get the account reopen as I use it mostly for my business. I can't get anyone to return my phone calls. Every time I call I'm directed to a voice mail and nobody calls me back. There is nothing wrong with my credit and I never did anything wrong with this account. In addition I'm owed about {$500.00} in cash back which they haven't credit my account. Please help me

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I overpaid my card by {$530.00}. On XX/XX/2019, I called Capitalone to have it refunded. They acknowledged the over payment and it was showing a credit balance on my card. They told me they have charged it back and it will take 3 -5 days to reflect on my account. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called to find out the status of my payment because it had not been reflected on my account. I asked what happened and the agent told me we have just sent your money today. I reminded them the terms and what they promised me on XXXX, also it was over 5 days and even as I write this complain I have not yet received the payment. This seems to be a violation of their own terms and what they told be. I was not happy with it and I told them I will file a complaint. That is the reason I am here

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX a duplicate payment for the full payoff was made. I attempted to get the credit card company to return the 2nd payment on several occasions both via phone and email. I was told it was sent, then it would be sent, then when pressed for a check # and issue date was lied to again. I was advised on XX/XX/XXXX via email that the funds were returned ( I have attached ). The following week my account was still showing a credit in the amount of the duplicate payment so I called AGAIN. On that call I was advised it had not been sent so I asked for a manager who flat out lied and told me it was sent after I demanded a check number ( she could not provide ) I demanded to know what day it was sent to she said it had been sent on the XXXX. After several weeks of not getting my money back I filed a complaint with my bank to get my funds back. I have also attached a copy of my transaction history showing it was never reversed until my bank pulled it back on the XXXX. Now the credit card company is charging me a {$25.00} charge for a returned payment when they were holding {$1700.00} of my money when I had a XXXX BALANCE! I should not have to pay a charge because they refused to return money they were not owed and I had to have my bank intervene.
