Problem with rewards from credit card
Complaint: I called to the Capital One costumer service more than 4 times for my XXXX Credit Card, the third time on XX/XX/2019, which took more that 3 hours explaining the issue, finally got disconnected when I was on hold for more than 1 hour by the Costumer service Supervisor who wanted to confirm the issue with another departments.
Once I didn't called back again I called back on XX/XX/2019 and just informed that they put a note on my account that " everything is correct. '' The issue is very simple, I explained in detail more than 10 times but it looks like there is not an intention to pay attention to my issue : Let assume today is XX/XX/2019 : I simply downloaded all of my transactions form Capital one website : 1- I summed Total ( Year to date ) posted Expenses 2- I summed Total ( Year to date ) posted Payments ( including Reward Redemption ) 3- I calculated Total ( Year to date ) Remaining Balance by extracting item 2 from Item 1.
The result it is showing a negative number which means I paid beyond the debts but surprisingly my available credit limit is still under the credit limit.
I am attaching here an transactions Excel spreadsheet which is clarifying my claim.

Complaint: 2 accounts for the same company were paid in full and closed are showing on all 3 credit bureaus as open and delinquent. I disputed online with all 3 bureaus and I also disputed via telephone with all 3 bureaus as well as sent in proof of payment on several occasions. The account was sold and I also disputed with the 3rd party.
Both accounts were paid in full and closed on XX/XX/XXXX.
These accounts were sold and placed in all 3 credit bureaus as negative and open on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX and both are still showing on my reports which are affecting a home purchase by lowering my credit scores.

Complaint: I had 2 capital one accounts in my name fraudulently. The account was opened XX/XX/XXXX. It was charged off XX/XX/XXXX. Disputed and won. Should have been removed from credit and public record XX/XX/XXXX. It was showing on my record til sometime this week or late last w week. XXXX and XXXX wouldn't allow me to have paperwork to say this was removed and I have document from capital one that says this was fraud and should be completely removed from my credit and public record. Capital one still hasn't sent any info stating that and XXXX and XXXX won't give me the letter stating they sent this to the court for discharge. I dealt with XXXX XXXX From Capital One 's fraud team and they haven't sent current information that I requested. I hold both Capital One and XXXX and XXXX fully responsible for all of this.

Complaint: After researching the offerings of all of my credit cards, I found that Capital One is the only one of my creditors that offers a 0 % Foreign Transaction Fee. As such, I needed to request a credit line increase as I will be traveling to a foreign country and will potentially need more funds than I have available, which is {$5000.00} USD. After calling Capital One and learning this process needs to be completed by me and not one of their representatives, which is customary, I learned they require a " soft pull '' of my credit report. At the time, and to date, I have a nearly 800 credit score with a perfect 13 year payment history with Capital One. I come to find in the mail, about a week later, that my request was denied for several reasons. ( 1 ) The account has not had enough recent payments to establish a recent payment history and ( 2 ) recent use of this account 's existing credit line has been too low. What these declination reasons tell me is that my spending habits don't require the use of credit and that I can afford my lifestyle. Shocking! An American who is NOT dependent on credit. To refuse a credit line increase to a customer, like myself, with a 13 year history of perfect payments, of which included a credit report, is an " unfair business practice '' ... and quite ridiculous! If, in fact, this business decision was made, as Capital One would have you believe, based in part on my credit report, then the credit line increase should have been granted. I would have even been satisfied if perhaps a lesser requested dollar amount was approved. However, to flat out deny me access to credit when I've spent 13 years proving my credit worthiness is an " unfair business practice '' that will NOT go unreported. Furthermore, the inability to appeal this decision is again, " an unfair business practice '', and requires CFPB intervention. I've spoken to several customer service associates regarding my credit limit declination and lack of appeals process on XX/XX/19 at XXXX PST ( pull the recorded call ), which included a very combative supervisor, who literally said " nothing can be done for you ''. I'm horrified that excellent customers like myself are being turned away with absolutely no recourse to appeal a blatantly biased and improperly substantiated business decision.

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: Re a charge for service by the XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX, a travel soccer club, charge on XX/XX/2018, {$1800.00} XXXX, it appears my credit card company ( Capital One ) can not elevate the dispute to VISA because they either need documentation : 1. From XXXX that a credit refund is acceptable to them or that the XXXX contract for services identifies the type of refund that is applicable ; or 2. Another similar service provider ( another soccer club ) issues a letter of support that a refund is in order given the circumstances.
The fact of the matter is that neither is remotely likely. We have so far and directly stated this to Capital One in a length recorded conversation this morning ( XX/XX/XXXX ).
XXXX would not provide an affirmative statement to the applicability of a refund and has so stated twice. XXXX 's refund policy is limited to two very limited circumstances that do not apply here.
Moreover, another soccer travel club would not take the time to be briefed on our circumstances nor write a letter in support. That would incur a cost to that club without any benefit. We also have no relations to any other soccer club.
This places our dispute in an impossible situation. We have detailed to both XXXX and Capital One a request for a refund given that XXXX has lacked providing services it has committed. Our two letters ( One to XXXX that actually address a request for a refund and rebuttal to XXXX 's denials ) and one to Capital One ( that can not move forward due to purported beaurocratic hurdles cited above with VISA ) has not and seems not to be able to moved forward.
We are asking the CFPB to do its best to resolve this issue. We believe that the facts lean in our favor and that XXXX 's rebuttals are weak ( only providing generalities and incorrect ones ). We also believe Capital One could do more. An aspect of the complaint also notes that Capital One did not notice us re decisions until late in the process, i.e., everyone else including XXXX knew of decision well before we did.

Complaint: I am writing this complaint because its been ignored by capital one and all three credit bureaus.
My mother in law wanted to save me the aggravation of using my own credit cards when I pick up her groceries and medicine so she added me as an authorized user so that I can just put it on her card.
Prior to her adding me she showed me that she paid her balance down because I did not want her credit card showing high usage as im due to settle on my house in a few days.
Prior to her showing me her account was indeed under 30 % usage she made a payment but because of her age she forgets sometimes and paid with an account that was closed out. She did not mean to do that and I believe if you look through her account you can see she never had a returned check before in the past, Once we realized the check came back we immediately made another payment to bring the card back down under 30 % but within that same day you guys have already reported the account to the credit bureaus.
We sent in a request to all three bureaus to update the new balance and we also requested this from capital one in which have all ignored us.
I mean as a courtesy we are asking to understand her condition and why this occurred and also may delay or lose y house if this isn't corrected. Its been three weeks now and still no help.
Whomever receives this we ask that you can bless her by helping us out.

Complaint: This issue is with Capital One Spark Business card.
Statement for period ending XX/XX/2019 showed balance of {$9400.00}. Payment of {$6000.00} posted on XX/XX/XXXX ( due by XX/XX/XXXX ).
Statement for period ending XX/XX/2019 showed balance of {$11000.00} which was paid in full on XX/XX/XXXX ( due by XX/XX/XXXX ).
Statement for period ending XX/XX/2019 shows balance of {$2100.00} including interest charge of {$140.00}.
Agreement clearly states that if balance is paid in full by due date, no interest is charged.
I called on XXXX and spoke to representative who said it's because the balance at XX/XX/XXXX was not paid in full.That doesn't make any sense, any interest charges for that period would have been charged on the XX/XX/XXXX statement and already paid in full.

Credit card company won't increase or decrease your credit limit
Complaint: I went with a capital one secured card to repair my credit. After 6 months on time payment history I was told I could get a credit increase. I missed the 6th payment due to an issue with the capital one website and it not processing the payment before the due date and I did not realize it until a few days after the payment due date. This was over 2 years ago. I still have and use the secured card and pay on time every month and usually make 2 payments per month over the one just to be sure the payments are processed. Ive been 2 years straight now without a single missed payment or late payment and I still can not get a credit increase. Without that increase Im showing a constant low credit available due to only having a credit line of the initial XXXX dollars that I paid for the card 29 months ago!
