Complaint: I had a 60 month loan with capital one I have never been delinquent over 30 days, in the last 2 years I have had financial hardship due to employment issues. I have been allowed 2 deferments and I recently requested a deferment, my balance on the car is {$3000.00}. I was denied a deferment with out explanation, I was told that everything was computer generated. I was offered an option of splitting my payment in 3 installments, however that will cause my account to be delinquent. I would like to know why I am being denied a deferred payment and if they can make arrangements so that my account is not past due or in arrears.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2019, I instructed a wire transfer to be sent to my Capital One checking account. When funds arrived, while marked as available, it was also marked as a " pending transactions ''. The " pending transaction '' label is misleading as wired transfer is complete once the wire " hits '' on the receiving bank 's end. The " pending transaction '' label creates an impression that this amount is still subject to additional bank review, as opposed to fully unencumbered. This is unacceptable especially as Capital One charged additional wire transfer fee for this capability. I request the CFPB ( and Federal Reserve and the OCC ) to compel Capital One to remediate this misrepresentation urgently.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2019, I noticed fraudulent activity on my Capital One Platinum Card. Some unknown person or persons had apparently used my card to make a large, unauthorized purchase of {$120.00} on XXXX. I immediately called the company and explained the situation. They told me that my card would be canceled and a new one immediately issued. As of XX/XX/XXXX, I noted that, not only had my new card not been issued, the company was charging me late fees on the old card. I called them up at about XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke with a rep who gave her name as XXXX. She told me : 1 ) I still had to keep making regular payments on a card that had been cancelled due to fraudulent activity. 2 ) They could not say when the investigation into the fraudulent activity would be concluded, if ever. 3 ) They would not issue a new card, since my old card was allegedly " past due '' when the fraud occurred and the card was cancelled. This seems to me like a clear-cut case of dishonest and underhanded business and a breach of Capital One 's obligations toward its customers under the Uniform Commercial Code and other relevant statutes. I implore your agency to intervene. I also suggest you investigate whether the fraudulent activity on the card was, in fact, the criminal machinations of strangers and not a shady tactic used by the company to harass its customers. Thank you so much.

Complaint: My online access to my capital one credit card is now blocked and I am travelling internationally. Cap one will not send a numerical code to my home phone to restate access because that phone is not in my name. Without access to my statements i can not verify the charges are legitimate so I will not pay the balance due. This will negatigely impact my credit score. Stupidly, they still allow use of the card i just can not access the statements. Their solution was, seriously, obtain a USA based cell phone to receive the code!

Complaint: I made internet purchase with internet broker and canceled it within 24 hr. The purchase transfer was officially canceled and confirmed in writing by the tickets supplier, while my credit card paid the broker for item that was never send. I complained about the transaction with Capital One, yet after some investigation they refused to assist me with the claim base on broker " all sales final '' sale policy. Such policy violates Federal Trade Commission laws and even Capital One manager acknowledged knowledge of such law, she refused to enforce it, helping the broker to take money for items never delivered.

XXXX Regarding XXXX XXXX XXXX We attended a seminar on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX regarding a travel plan my wife and I purchased that involved a total cost of {$4800.00} plus renewal fee of {$140.00} per year. We were told that this consisted of 2 weeks per year plus 2 week intervals per year. We were given a tour of condos and were told that the membership we purchased would provide us with the same amenities similar to the CONDOS we toured at a reduced rate. The CONDOS we toured had a Jacuzzi, full kitchen, washer and dryer, a bedroom and bath and separate living area. We first used our membership on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX through XXXX XX/XX/XXXX in XXXX, XXXX and were placed in a small area without any of the amenities listed above. We were very appalled by the accommodations in which they placed us. We were charged {$380.00} which included a {$99.00} cancellation waiver for 3 nights. We could have stayed anywhere in XXXX for a similar price minus the cancellation waiver. We complained to the front desk and were then put in a CONDO similar to the one we had toured. We attended a meeting with XXXX on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. It was explained to us that we were placed in the small room because we were mistakenly placed on plan B instead of plan A. We asked what it would take to correct the error. They told us it would be approximately an additional {$3700.00} for us to get on plan A. We told them no, we were already out {$3600.00} due to their misrepresentation of the property. No one explained to us until the XXXX XXXX meeting that there was a difference between plan A and plan B. The room we were given was not the CONDO we were told and shown that we would receive with our travel plan. We have lost about {$3300.00} due to their fraudulent misrepresentation and desire to cut further losses. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX We discussed the matter multiple times including but not limited to employee XXXX XXXX # XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX. They refused to provide last names. We we not provided the Condos we were told would be provided at the discounted rate in our membership. CapitalOne employees refused to defend us on services not rendered.
