Complaint: Capital One Bank USA added my name without my knowledge or consent on my wife 's credit card account as an authorized user. I discovered this transaction after I was denied credit and obtained a copy of my credit report. Capital One reported the following delinquencies to all 3 of the credit reporting agencies : 30 day delinquencies on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX. Capital One also reported a 60 day delinquency on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX my wife XXXX XXXX, my XXXX XXXX and myself conference called Capital One. My wife requested Capital One to revoke my signing authority and I requested them to correct my credit reports. Capitol One said the credit history reported on my credit file would stay the same. I then asked them to provide me with a copy of a document that had my signature either acknowledging or authorizing the transaction and they could not produce one. Subsequently I asked Capital One to send me a copy of a letter disclosing to me that I was added as an authorized user on my wife 's account. I was told no letter would have been generated for this transaction. I am self employed and the negative reporting has affected my ability to obtain credit and has put severe limitations for terms on purchases from my suppliers. I am in the process of filing a dispute with XXXX, XXXX and XXXX and have already contacted an attorney regarding this matter. My attorney advised me to file a complaint with CFPB.

Complaint: i have been suspecting that my account with Capital One has been flagged and been discriminated based on my race and national origin, so i have decided to apply for a credit line increase of {$3000.00} to see i will get an an automatic denial of the request. I have sent the request on XX/XX/2019 and get an email with the rejection the same date. The reason given was my account has high balance and the account has not been used a lot. Here are the fact of my credit As of XX/XX/2019, My FICO score is XXXX which lenders consider as good. My total debt ratio is XXXX XXXX of my available balance. I would say there is no valid reason why my request was denied other than i have been discriminated by Capital One This has been happened before when i tried to get a higher credit limit ( about twice or 3x ) The account has not been reviewed properly and i truly believe Capital One has a way of flagging accounts and discriminate customer based on race ( I am XXXX ) and based on national origin XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

Complaint: Received initial text message on XX/XX/19 from # ( XXXX ) XXXX claiming to be Capital One, the text addressed me using my real name, asking if Id applied for a Capital One credit card and to please respond with an answer. After I did not respond to the first text, they sent another, again using my real name, insisting that I respond urgently. Knowing that I definitely have never applied for a Capital One credit card, I brushed the text off as just a scammer considering I do receive a number of different scam calls and texts ( mostly phone calls, multiple per day ) regarding numerous things, but this text in particular did stand out as Ive not only never received any other similar calls or messages and this was the only instance where my real name was used. However, on XX/XX/19 I received in the mail an actual Capital One credit card in my name that Id absolutely and definitively never applied for, and it was mailed to my parents house in which I no longer live ( I bring up this fact because if hypothetically I were to apply for a credit card, I would have it mailed to my current address, not my parents ) I called Capital One and the automated system was unable to locate any account under my name, however the card had yet to be activated but I have no intention on activating the card. I was able to speak with a live representative on XX/XX/19 who could see that an application had in fact been filed under my name to which I was approved for and the card was sent out to me, but did not yet have an actual account since I have not activated my card. I attempted several times to speak to a supervisor which were all unsuccessful, though I was assuredly told by the rep that I spoke with that the text messages were in no way affiliated with Capital One. I intended to take further action this evening when I return from work, however my fianc who lives with me called earlier to tell me that she had received a text message from the same number listed above, referring to her as Mrs. { My real name } and asking if shed applied for a Capital One card and that a card was already in the mail to be delivered on XX/XX/19, when she responded asking for them to verify their authenticity, they requested that she send photos of the front and back of the credit card when it comes in the mail. They only referred to her as Mrs { My name } or just my name, never hers. I do not have any idea as to how they obtained her phone number or knew we were connected. I will again be contacting Capital One in an attempt to speak to a supervisor later on however I felt the need to report this incident to the proper authority.

I never opened a capital One cc in XXXX of 2018 and its showing delinquent on all 3 credit bureaus. Complaint: Complaint case # XXXX To The Ladies and Gentleman of The Banking Commissioners Office, CFPB, Director XXXX XXXX, Acting Deputy Director and to my neighbors and countrymen. For all practical purposes, the commission is a front that allows lenders to do as they see fit regardless of the law. If a consumer complains to the Bank Commissioner about a lending agency, the case is immediately closed out, once the lending agency responds in writing to the CFPB. This policy does not allow the consumer to rebuttal. This consumer protection policy is " no policy at all '' and is pro lender. Complaint: I logged onto the Capital One mobile app on XX/XX/XXXX to transfer money from my external checking account to my Capital One money market account, as I do each time I get paid. I authorized one transaction of {$1000.00} and immediately received a confirmation email ( confirm # 134 ). The next day, I noticed 2 pending withdrawals on my external account and it also showed this way on Capital One 's app as well. Again, I only completed one transfer and received one confirmation email. I called Capital One the morning of XX/XX/19 and explained what happened. They initiated a transfer to put back the unauthorized payment. I asked for an explanation of why this happened ... was it a system glitch, did someone access my account, etc. The rep could not provide me an answer. I asked that it be escalated and I be called back with an explanation. He would not do so for me.

Complaint: Back in late XXXX or early XXXX I bought a pair of XXXX XXXX trainers shoes at Kohl 's in XXXX, SC. The shoes bottom started coming apart. When I tried to return them, I was told by the person that claimed she was the store manager and her name is XXXX XXXX ( later I found out that she was NOT the store manager but an assistant ). When she seen my shoes she told me " THOSE SHOES ARE BIO HAZARD AND I REFUSED TO TAKE THEM BACK ''. I asked her for a business card and she REFUSED to give me one.Then she said the shoes are dirty and I need to go home ( I live 17 miles away ) and clean the shoes and then I need to find the UPC number ( the number on the shoes that were defective had been worn and couldn't be read ). I told her all she had to do according to Kohl 's website was look up my credit card purchase and it would show her this number. She REFUSED. I drove 17 miles back to my house and contacted Corporate Headquarters for Kohl 's to file a complaint against this store manager and told them I either wanted my shoes exchanged or I wanted my money back and I would also return the nearly {$3000.00} of items that my wife and I had purchased from Kohl 's since XXXX. Corporate gave me the UPC # XXXX and told me to return to the store to exchange these shoes and if I had any problems to call them and they would handle it. When I returned to the store Corporate had already spoken to the REAL MANAGER a woman named XXXX.I asked her what her last name was and she REFUSED to give me that information. She was as rude as the other " manager ''. She said " you don't expect me to have my employees touch dirty shoes ''. I told her that when you wear shoes everyday on a golf course they will get dirty. She told me to go to the back and find a pair to exchange. I went back and found a pair of XXXX XXXX. When I brought them to her, she said these are NOT the exact color and she refused to exchange these and would ONLY give me the LOWEST PRICE as a credit that these shoes sold for in the last 4 months. I refused. I told her that was the only color that I saw. I asked her to go back with me and try and locate the right color. She told me that she was the manager and that if I wanted to exchange these shoes I would have to go back and find the right color. I asked her to have an associate go with me. She said that she would have an associate meet me back there. When I finally found the right color she then informed me that if these shoes tear up ( defective ) that if they have any dirt on them whatsoever she will NOT take them back for an exchange.When you wear shoes they are going to get dirty. If KOHL 's ADVERTISE HASSLE FREE RETURN, they are false advertising. I am a Former XXXX XXXX and Retired XXXX XXXX. When XXXX XXXX ( in front of other customers ) claimed that my shoes were 'BIO-HAZARD '' simply because they are dirty that is an INSULT. Kohl should better train their managers on how to deal with the public. I also had to drive 34 miles round trip and waste an hour of my time on what should have been a simple return for a defective product. I should be reimbursed for the time and travel and for being insulting. I am also a member of XXXX and I will make sure that XXXX is aware of how Kohl 's treat the Seniors and the Veterans.

Complaint: In response to a TV ad I logged into a website on XX/XX/2019, and ordered a free sample of wrinkle cream. The stated cost was {$6.00} for shipping and handling. I was sent a package containing moisturizing cream and eye serum. I did not request eye serum. No invoice or price was included in the package. Without prior notification, on XX/XX/2019, a charge was made to my credit card of {$88.00} for the cream and {$89.00} for eye serum. The merchant did not communicate with me in any way, but sent another package which was refused at the post office. I notified my credit card company of the unauthorized charge, and they obtained a payment cancellation on XX/XX/2019. Another charge was submitted on XX/XX/2019 from the same merchant. Payment to the merchant was withheld at that time. The " free '' sample was returned, post paid. However, in XXXX and XXXX, the credit card company determined, based on documents provided by the merchant, in favor of the merchant in the amount of {$350.00}, even though I submitted my case and cited violation of 16 CFR part 251 and 16 CFR part 245.1 ( 2 )
