Reporting company used your report improperly
Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 I saw on XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX were reporting that between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX my balance increased from XXXX to XXXX dollars. On XX/XX/XXXX I drove to my local Kohls store to ask why as to the best of my knowledge neither my wife or I have used this card. Store clerk said I would have to call the 800 number on my card as she had no way to tell, I paid the XXXX dollars with her and went home. On XX/XX/XXXX I called the 800 number and was told that since my wife was the primary on the account he could not tell me what the XXXX dollars was for. My wife has been in the hospital since XX/XX/XXXX and still is. All I wanted to know is what the XXXX dollar charge was for. I spoke to a supervisor and he told me the same store that it was Kohls policy to only speak to the primary account holder.
I asked how do you have the right to place anything on my credit report and yet wont tell me what it is and he related that was Kohls policy. I don't feel this is moral, I really cant believe it is legal.

Complaint: XXXX, I spoke to you months ago in regards to the POOR customer service provided by Capital One. After speaking to you, I was hoping that the customer service would have improved, however, it has not. I discussed with you and requested numerous phone calls from your colleagues as well. I guess they feel they're too important to call consumers that contributes their high interest rate payments to the generous salaries that you guys make. I recently applied for a SPARK business credit card. After receiving an email from Capital One stating that I was approved for the BIG XXXX credit limit, I contacted Capital One and spoke to a supervisor to obatin an update on the card. Initially, I was informed by the supervisor that he could not see where I was approved. After explaining over and over that I had received an email, he then told me that he had found the approval. The supervisor then informed me ( 2 weeks ago ) that the card would be out to be in about 7 days and was being mailed. After not receiving the card yet, I contacted Capital one today and was told that the card has not been mailed. As your fellow colleagues consistently provides poor customer service, there seems to be a MAJOR training issue. Correspondence has once again been sent to the CFPB. I also want to discuss my bad experiences with Capital One with the media and also the non-employee governing body of a Capital One. This company is a JOKE. I will inform other consumers and entrepreneurs not do business with this horrible company. After speaking to you, I could tell that you did not have interest in my concerns. What a JOKE, Capital one.

Complaint: There were 2 Capital One credit cards opened under my name. One of them was resolved however I spoke to a XXXX at Corporate office ( XX/XX/2019 ) letting her know that the man who was initially taking care of this account was harassing me and that I no longer wanted this rep to take care of me. I was reassured that he was no longer dealing with my account ending in XXXX. I went to my office ( XX/XX/XXXX ) only to find a letter with his name on it stating that he found no fraud on the act and that the charges belonged to me. After opening the letter, I reached out to XXXX in Corporate office 3 times and as of today XX/XX/XXXX, I have not heard from her. I called another 800 number and was transferred to the man XXXX. I asked him how did he verify that the charges on the account were mine and he could not respond. At that time he proceeded to tell me that the act was still under investigation with someone in the escalations dept. I also asked him why I was receiving statements if the account was still under investigation? He also could not give me an answer. This has already negatively affected my credit one time. This needs to be handled by the Corporate office like I was told.

Complaint: For over two months, I have not been able to access my bill pay account through my online bank, Capital One. I only have full access to my bill pay through my desktop browser, not my mobile which gives limited access. It is the desktop that is not working, but has the full access. Each time I have tried to access my bill pay through my desktop, I receive the same messages " Oops, we've hit a snag! Looks like we ran into a snag displaying this account, but we're working on it. Please try again in a bit. '' and " Oops, we've hit a snag.
We ran into a snag trying to retrieve your account details, but we're working on it. Try again in a bit, or give us a call at XXXX. '' This has consistently been the messages I receive when I try to enter my bill pay. I have called customer service on a number of occasions and have been told that they are aware of the problem and are escalating it. I have been into the internet cafe for assistance. I have sent emails. All to no avail. Since this is an online only account, I do not expect to wait this long to have a resolution to this electronic problem. I am now highly suspicious that the bank is discriminating against me for some reason and is trying to shut down my account by inconveniencing me. When I have spoken with customer service, they direct me to the mobile site, even though it offers different and inferior access. It does not allow me to enter recurring payments or to get details of merchants that are listed for payment. For instance, I can not see account numbers to make sure I am paying the right amount to the right merchant when I have more than one account with a particular company. In fact, I tried to pay some insurance bills today, but because the mobile site doesn't tell me which of two accounts I am paying, and each needs different amounts, I can not tell what I am doing at all. Since I have waited over two months trying to deal with this bill pay problem and with no effort from Capital One to reach me to resolve this matter, I am convinced they have no intention of doing so.
As someone who has been a customer for over 12 years, without prior problems, I would like to know why Capital One is making it so difficult for me to use my account so that I am forced to shut it down.

Complaint: On XXXX19, I tried to access bank 's website, but a message code is to be sent to a U.S. cell phone. I'm currently traveling outside the U.S. and can't receive a code so I can't determine what my monthly payment is. I called the bank with the customer service number on the back of the credit card which is XXXX. I was given two options, press 1 to hear a robot give me a sales pitch about a medical alert service. No human came on at the end the connection ended. I called back and pressed 2 and got another robot trying to sell me a towing service! Again, at the end the connection ended. I'm unable to make a payment because I do not know what I owe.

Complaint: I spoke with a Capital One representative in XX/XX/XXXX and was told that my account would be in good standing for 28 days. I scheduled my payment on XX/XX/XXXX. I got behind on my auto loan due to downsizing with my employer. I communicated with Capital One that I wanted to keep my vehicle and was making strides in restoring my account. On the call I made on XX/XX/XXXX, I was told that I would be able to make arrangements on my auto loan to by a modification as soon as my payment was received. With my account in good standing. On the XXXX I was emailed documents to complete and was instructed to fax them back once they were completed. I completed the forms and fax them back as instructed. I contact Capital Once on the XXXX to ensure that my forms had been received. However, I was told that they weren't received. I re-faxed back several times unsuccessfully. I asked if their was another way for the form to be submitted and was told that I could email them. I emailed the documents and they were received. The representative told me I would hear back from someone in two weeks. I NEVER received a call. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter informing me that Capital One had attempted to contact me & that I had to the XXXX to respond. I didn't receive the letter until the XXXX .Also, I have no voicemail from Capital One & was informed that my voicemail wasn't set up when it indeed is. I never have had a problem with them contacting me until now. Since I received the letter on the XXXX th & the XXXX was on a Sunday. I asked them if they would be willing to work with me since I just received the documentation and had no other contact from them and was told that the modification was denied. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that their was not a supervisor for that department. I continually asked if their was someone else I could speak with to assist me & was finally transferred to escalation department. When transferred the representative was rude and interrupted me frequently not allowing me to speak. The representative was not at all helpful.My vehicle was repossessed on XX/XX/XXXX. I have been trying to resolve. This is not the information I was given when I spoke with a representative.

Complaint: My credit was effected by capital one bank on Friday XX/XX/2019 around XXXX. This credit run was not authorized by me. As soon as I received notifications to my phone that my credit was ran from capital one bank, I immediately contacted capital one bank to get further information about why my credit was ran without my authorization. I was told that they do not have any information as to an application being submitted with my information. Two days later I received a document in the mail from capital one bank requesting more information to get an approval response for a line a credit that again I did not authorized. I attempted again to reach out to capital one bank, and this time I had an application number from the letter I received. I was directed to contact the credit bureau that was effected to see if I can get this dispute resolved, which referred me to the CFPB.
