Complaint: Capital One closed my credit card account on XX/XX/2019 after my card was paid in full by XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2019 for the transactions of {$1000.00} and {$100.00}. In XXXX they claimed the reason for closing my account was because they could not verify my identity. But My complaint against capital one is that my account was in the positive when capital closed it but on XX/XX/XXXX capital one fraudulent reported to the XXXX bureaus on XX/XX/XXXX that my account was closed was XXXX days passed due for {$2.00} causing my XXXX XXXX to drop XXXX points. even though capital one reported the account positively and accurately for XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX they fraudulent reported to the XXXX bureaus that they closed the account in XXXX. I contacted capital one about misleading the XXXX bureaus and reporting in accurate information about this account and to remove the past due reporting especially since the account was never past due when they closed it but they have ignored my requests

Complaint: I have a Capital one credit card I was making a XXXX $ dollar minimum payment, without notice my minimum had raised to XXXX $ I allowed it to be okay. I asked for a credit increase over the phone and through the app and never received it with over 28 months of good payments. XX/XX/2019 I got a email from XXXX XXXX saying have a 30 day late payment I have spoken to the support and not willing to help, I never received any calls about having any late payments or missing any due dates like every other bank, my automated checking account have error and possible it never made a payment I have a family and sometimes you forget about things if this is true. Recently my wife and I inquired about a FHA mortgage loan with this bank my score was effected 37 points for this can you please understand and help me remove this error.

Complaint: A previous complaint # XXXX had Capital One contact me and attempt to verify my identity in order to have internet access to my account. Upon verification of Social Security number, Date of Birth and three other forms of identity verification, Capital One insists on having to contact me in order to gain access to my online account. I believe Capital One is excessive in this process that was initiated by them after months or years of doing my business with their company online. Accessing via mobile app and online to have information to my balances and transactions and making payments. The company refuses to allow me access until I am yet verified again. I am requesting that a formal investigation into this discriminatory process be made and Capital One be held accountable in denying their loyal customers reasonable access to our accounts.

Complaint: I have a checking account at Capital One Bank with Internet access to that account. Currently I am traveling abroad ( in XXXX ), which I am doing frequently. As usual, on XX/XX/2019 I tried to access my bank account. But this time instead of being allowed access a new screen appeared ( a copy of it is attached ). That screen gives only two option how to access my account. Both of these options require that the bank sends a temporary access code by a text message to my cell number, which then I will use to complete the sign-in process to my online bank account. Because I do not have a cell phone, I called the given banks help phone number XXXX. There a bank representative insisted that I should be able to receive the temporary access code also by email as was done always in the past from abroad. After we together tried it, the bank representative also concluded that without receiving a temp code to a cell phone access to my account is not possible until I return back to my home address in USA. The Bank rep then called someone else at the COB bank and there they told him that the bank recently made a change which eliminated the use of email and caused that without a cell phone registered with the bank and one which is also capable to receive a code by a text message access to the online bank account is not possible and that I should return back to USA to resolve this problem. Well, it becomes apparent that COB bank recently implemented this requirement in a TOTAL secrecy without publishing a warning to their customers informing them of this added requirement. I searched the banks online User Agreement and absolutely nowhere online is there a requirement that a bank online customer must have a cell phone which is registered with the COB bank and that cell phone must be also capable of accepting abroad a text message with a temp access code. I will be abroad several months and this inability to access my bank account is causing a hardship, because I have to use my bank account in order to pay bills and to transfer funds. In the past the bank did send me the temp access code by email and this their recent secret change to allow access only by those people who have a cell phone capable of accepting abroad a text message, instead of email as past is totally wrong. As far as I know, all other US banks use email for such purposes. Why COB bank would implement such radical change in a TOTAL secrecy without informing customers and without publishing it defies explanation.
