Complaint: I made an agreement to pay a debt, to Ad Astra, with an initial balance of {$850.00}. Now the collection company say the initial balance was XXXX. I have made XXXX payments since XXXX 2016, each receipt was miss posted at the original company, XXXX. After each payment posted I called Ad Astra, they said the payments posted correctly on their end. All was fine until XXXX XXXX, 2016. That is when they told me my initial balance was {$1200.00} and they did not want to send the recorded call of when the agreement was made. I have emails from XXXX showing the initial balance.

Complaint: I have been receiving collection letters from a collection agency called " Ad Astra '' for a debt that I have not availed ( from XXXX XXXX ). I suspect that either the debt was fraudulently obtained using my information, or the collection agency is fraudulently trying to collect a fictitious debt. This debt has been reported to credit rating agencies and is severely impairing my credit score/history. I have filed a police report with local county office, and they asked me to follow up with CFPB ; hence this report. I would urge you to investigate both Ad Astra and XXXX XXXX as to the origins of these collection letters.

Complaint: AD ASTRA RECOVERY SERVICES contacted me and said I had a loan with XXXX XXXX. I told them I did n't and to send me verifiable proof that I had a account I knew they would n't be able to because this was Identity Theft. They said they could n't provide any information on the account. I spoke with fraud dept, called repeatedly, sent affidavant and proof of theft by authorities. After all that trouble they reported collection accounts to all three bureaus. They refuse to delete the untrue information I have disputed with bureaus but they still remain on reports. This company deliberately harmed me by reporting untrue information damaging my credit.They need to fix it .Identity Theft is bad enough without ASTRA trying to damage my credit for something I had no control over.

Complaint: Due to the fact that my problem does n't have a best way to describe my issue above I have to explain myself. I sent a creditor 's validation letter to AD Astra Recovery Services , Inc. I had my Personal financial coach speak on my behalf. XXXX XXXX XXXX spoke with AD Astra Recovery Services , Inc. This was a XXXX Pay Day Loan and I sent the letter for them to validate the debt. Accordingly, to the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act a Debt Collection Company has 30 days to validate the debt. In my case my debt was never validated by AD Astra Recovery Services Inc. In this case the debt should be removed from my credit report and out of the office of AD Astra Recovery Services , Inc. because they do not have the right to collect in the State of Texas. Accordingly, to the State of Texas no debt collector can collect in the state unless they are register by the State of Texas.
