Both company knowingly it was discharged and can not be collected but still trying to do so. Ad Astra recovery illegally reported incorrect information on my credit report and damaged it. They have violated chapter XXXX discharged bankruptcy code. They need to remove the collection off my credit report immediately. Thank you

They stated that the payments made were just for interest only. As a result of the derogatory remarks on my credit history, I ended up being turn down by XXXX XXXX XXXX for housing and in spite of my grant for an automobile grant as a XXXX veteran, I ended up with a higher payment interest rate because of this.

Complaint: They originally called stating that they were representatives of a federal agency and that my file was subject to a criminal complaint. They would call from different numbers and use different tactics to get me to think i was in trouble with the law. The debt remained on my credit report months after i paid it. I have disputed it and talked to the collection agency. They indicated that because i disputed the account, they had to send info on the amount i previous owed without stating that the account is paid off.
