Complaint: My husband and I are trying to purchase a home through he VA program. I noticed a collection from a company called AD Astra on my credit report. To my knowledge, I am not familiar with the amount they are saying we owe and what it could be from and when. We watch are mail closely and do not recall receiving anything from this company stating what this is about. We did some research and decided to dispute the account and request validation. We disputed this in XXXX and re-disputed in XXXX. We have yet to receive any correspondence back from them. This is really frustrating and concerning and next year we plan to purchase a home and need to make sure the credit is in top form. I decided to file a complaint as a last resort since sending them a formal validation letter in affidavit format obviously is not working.

Complaint: I am a veteran and looking to purchase a home for my family. I checked my credit report as we are trying to make sure we have everything together for next years home purchase. I notice a collection from AD Astra that I did not recognize as something I would owe or to the best of my knowledge I do n't know what this was. I also did not recognize the amounts they are saying I owe. I did some research and decided to dispute the account with AD Astra in XXXX and also again in XXXX and never received any responses in the mail from them. It is very frustrating as I was expecting to hear back from them. I read online about the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and felt like this was a good next step since I ca n't get AD Astra to respond. I even sent a dispute letter in a legal affidavit format to let them know I was serious about what this and wanted to get some kind of validation of what this was.

Complaint: I submitted a debt validation to this company under the Texas Finance code Section XXXX which requires a debt collection agency to provide specific information within 30 days. This company, although responded within the 30 days, did not provide the requested information. They only sent lease form and a claim form. It did n't include original date of non-payment with creditor, date debt was transferred from original creditor, and the Texas Surety bond information. Per Texas law, this is to be removed from my credit report immediately. Also this company threatened to garnish my wages and report me to an attorney which is not allowed in the state of Texas.

Complaint: I called adastra recovery services because I recieved a scam call claiming to own the loan. Ad Astra reisured me that it was a scam. The supervisor named XXXX then asked what I would do about the debt. I explained that I could not pay it at the moment. He then started asking if I could borrow the money. I explained no one will lend me the amount. He then proceed to call me lazy and not willing to work with them, he even went as far to say he is debt free and was not a dead beat like me. I then was reduced to tears and asked him kindly not to call me he said he would continue. I then stated it was a cell. He then agreed to discontinue communication. As I hung up he called me a joke of a man. When I complained to ad Astra and there quality control Specialists they then sent the debt back to XXXX XXXX " the original debt ''. XXXX XXXX did take another complaint but I have asked numerous times for an apology or just someone to aknowledge my complaint. I have left numerous messages with XXXX to call me back and she has failed To do so. The debt is no longer an issue because XXXX XXXX said it is taken care of. So there is no more debt all I 'm seeking is an apology or aknowledgement of my complaint.

Complaint: I started making payments through the online website XXXX for a debt that was owed. When I made the payments to them they provided a collection company Astra my credit card information and the company withdraw XXXX from my account without my permission. I spoke with both companies about the unauthorized charge, and they state there is nothing that can be done after money was taken fraudulently. I never setup an agreement with Astra or spoken with them about the case. The funds should be placed back into my account, because Astra received information that should not have been provided to them to collect a debt. XXXX states on every call they no longer have the case, and everything was done by their 3rd party company. If this was done to me I know it 's being done to others trying to repay debts that are owed.

Complaint: This was reported to the credit agencies without an attempt to validate the debt and despite numerous attempts to get them to rectify after I was made aware of it on my report, they refuse to correct their records. I requested documentation to verify the debt and the documents submitted are fraudulent and do not address my issue of validation of the debt. The documents do not bear my signature and I did not obtain this loan. The address used is my old address and I did not live at this address when they are claiming the account was open. The bank account listed on these documents is not mine and the documents do not bear my signature. They continue to report this on my credit despite the numerous requests to validate. I am also opening up a case with Consumer Protection. I need this removed from credit reporting agencies.
