They refused to give me proper debt validation, in which i invoke my rights under the Texas XXXX to have certain information be provided to in which they have not provided. They also marked my file as disputed when I clearly did not dispute anything let alone send them letters under the FDCPA. Since they have n't given me proper validation under the Texas XXXX which requires them to either validate within 30 days properly or they are in violation.

Complaint: Ad Astra has been falsely reporting information for 3 years. Ad Astra did not respond to a debt validation request within the time-frame as set forth by the Texas Finance Code and FDCPA. I have attached a timeline and PROOF in the form of USPS tracking and successful faxes. They have falsified dates with the intent to deceive. They have IGNORED Cease and Desist letters that I have sent. I have also disputed with Credit Bureau with no results. It is my assertion that the credit bureau merely take Ad Astra 's word and do not truly investigate.

Complaint: On yesterday, XXXX XXXX, I spoke to a supposedly representative of Ad Astra recovery services to address the debt reported on my credit report. I was asked to share my social security number which I did n't feel comfortable sharing. I asked for more information about the collection agency, which the person by the name of XXXX shared the location but she would not give me her last name. I made the mistake of sharing my social security number because the agency sounded legitimate and it still may be but I felt very uneasy after sharing that information. I told her that I will not make payment arrangements until I receive something in writing to verify the debt which she said they are able to do. She stated that I will receive a letter in the mail within 7-10days. I believe the debt may be valid but I 'm not sure about the agency or the person I spoke too. My main concern is that they now have my social security number.

I contacted AD ASTRA and asked for information on the account because I do n't have any knowledge of the account. The representative could not provide me with any information except for the date it was opened and from where it was from. I asked for the original contract and the representative told me they did n't have it because I wanted to find out who did this. I advised the agent that I had been incarcerated in XXXX prison since XXXX until XXXX and at the time among other accounts this was not mine. I have sent a letter to them but need to file a complaint in reference to someone opening this account and a bank account w/o my permission. This account is fraudulent. I 'm not sure who scammed me but I am not liable for this debt.

Complaint: XXXX XXXX took out a fraudulent internet loan for XXXX dollars in 2014 and has hounded me ever since to pay off a loan that I never made. After sending in a police report and sending all of my information to XXXX, they refuse to release the non payment status of this fraudulent loan on my credit report. When contacting their customer support line, they told me that my birth year was incorrect. Seriously, I know when I was born but apparently the identity thief did not. And somehow XXXX XXXX still gave out the loan anyway. This has been a consumer nightmare and XXXX XXXX is a bad, bad company. Beware.
