Complaint: This activity was due to identity theft. I have sent over XXXX letters to the collection agency via my attorney demanding verification of debt ( loan documents, copy of check used for the loan, etc. ) and they have yet to send me anything. My complaint is that they have re-aged the debt several times over the past two years which adds time to it 's removal from my credit report. It 's my belief that they are doing this illegally.

Complaint: I received a call from AdAstra Debt collection company regarding a payday loan I owe. I was threatened numerous times by a representative named XXXX. I asked XXXX to speak to another associate and he declined. XXXX stated he is the only XXXX I am able to speak to because he is handling the account. XXXX hung up, I called the company back hoping to speak to another associate. A representative name XXXX answered the phone and stated she was unable to assist that she would be transferring me to XXXX. I explained to XXXX that I was not comfortable speaking with XXXX and she still refused to assist me with simply taking a payment. XXXX advised me that unless I want the collection to be reported to the credit bureau then I better speak with XXXX. At this time I released the line.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX 2015 I received calls every XXXX minutes starting at XXXX relating to a debit for an employee. I asked them not to call anymore on a previous call, however these calls had no announce just a hang up. I called back to tell them again to stop calling this number and they told me they could only give me their mumbled name of AdAstra. After this request I started receiving calls every XXXX minutes. I called in again and XXXX stated they had several accounts with them and they could not get our number completely removed. Each time I called in and gave the number they only pulled XXXX employees so I know exactly what she was referring with this statement. She then said it was going to be XXXX hour before it was removed and that every time I called in it generated a call. I reminded her that I had asked not to be called over 15 days ago and again on Friday because of their dialer practices interfering with my business and I felt I was harassed. She blew that off and said well do n't call in. I want to point in I only called after the calls became excessive and again when I received a call after asking not to be called again.

Complaint: I received a settlement letter from Ad Astra Recovery Services for a payday loan through XXXX XXXX stating that they were willing to settle with me on a past due balance. I contacted them and they agreed upon the settlement. I asked during the settlement process if the items could be removed from my credit report. The representative stated that it is n't something that they normally do, but she would check with her supervisor. She came back to the line and stated that her supervisor agreed to remove the account from my credit and o should see an update within 30 days. This happened in XXXX 2015 fast forward to today and the item still is n't removed from my credit reports. I called in today and spoke to XXXX who said that she did n't see the notes where the account would be removed, I asked if the calls were recorded and she said yes. I asked her to listen to the call. She put me on hold, and said she needed to speak to her supervisor. She then came back to the line and said her supervisor looked at the notes on the account and said she did n't see any notes supporting what I was telling her. I then asked well I thought you were putting me on hold to listen to the actual conversation because that would supersede whatever the rep documented if she told me one thing and then documented another. She came back to the line and said she was transferring me to the supervisor. I was instead sent to voicemail.

Complaint: I feel like I am at a disadvantage against Ad Astra. I have explained my self in debth and requested they stop their aggressive and annoying methods of contacting me and yet they refuse to hear me out. This account should be deleted from my credit report. they are making me reach un realistic means to proof myself to them while i sit back and allow them to pretend that they are a legitimate business and that they care about the oidenty theft i endured. I have asked them to remove this account from my credit report, not so much because of their obviously ILLEGAL tactics of trying to obtain a debt from me, but because etches was not a loan that I EVER requested nor are there any items of proof or any evidence or ANY investigation for that matter. I am very offended and afraid of this company. They had been calling and calling my cell phone and home phone at all hours of the day and when I bought my concerns here to this portal they denied EVERYTHINg and claimed that it never happened and then they proceeded to pretend like they cared about me and the fraud that wa done to me and that they sent me numerous pamphlets and paperwork to followup and go to the police station and have NOTORIZED! Who are these people! I have to bend over backwards to prove myself? I ams so offended by these people, I am so afraid of these people. I have asked them in the past to leave me alone and they have not. Then they tried to act like they were good people when I brought my fears here to your CFPB portal. I think that they are fake and liars. I have read MANY traumatizing stories about this company and someone had blogged about coming to this portal and filing complaints and stopping the,. But they continue to send me voice messages. They even spoke to my mother and discussed the " debt that I was Scheuled to pay ''. I have NEVER schedule any payments with them. I am certain that this was not lawful. Most importantly, who is going to investigate their usage of robotic voice calling? I have relied those annoying calls. I WIL Not submit to these people. they expect me to go to hell and back to prove myself yet they can not follow the law themselves and prove anything back to me! All they have hurtfully done is repeatedly defended their " clients '' who ever that may be against me and I feel ABSOLUTELY HELPLESS AND HURT! What are my options? I will not deal with them anymore. They are deceitful and XXXX!
