Complaint: I live in XXXX, NC and I bought a car in XXXX XXXX, SC for a new, 2019 XXXX XXXX XXXX. There are a few problems that I have had with this financial contract/ agreement. I financed the car through American Honda Financial. The first problem is that I had was the car being repossessed. I struggled to find if the law of SC or the law of NC applied to this contract. The contract said that SC state law was applicable but the finance company said differently. I was not issued a Right to Cure at anytime during the contract, but I also asked the repossession company to leave the car and they told me no. I have been told that this was a possible breach of peace in both states. The car was repossessed on XX/XX/2019. The second part of my issues is that the loan was done like a lease, with a balloon payment on it and a purchase option/ exchange option on the agreement. I attempted this prior to the car being taken because I was told by a local dealer that the car had a malfunctioning computer board. The third problem is, I called the financial company and was told that even though I made a payment arrangement, I was denied that and the car was repossessed. I was denied even speaking to the employee that made the payment agreement. They told me that I had to make the full purchase price of XXXX dollars to get the car back. I explained to them that I did not feel this was just because of the misleading purchase contract. I told them I was going to file bankruptcy and that it would be better for us both to work something out, but they refused.

Complaint: We thought that we purchased a Honda XXXX on XX/XX/2019 at XXXX Honda in XXXX, Georgia. The financing in the amount of {$25000.00} was a college grad program through American Honda Finance Corp, with a monthly payment of {$400.00}. On XX/XX/19, we were asked to return to the dealership ( XXXX Honda ) to pick up a covering for the trunk that allegedly had come in for the vehicle. When we arrived at the dealership, we were told that there was no trunk covering and that they just needed us to sign a new loan because American Honda Finance Corp had rejected the original loan. We refused to sign up for the new loan which had a different rate of interest and higher payment amount. Now we have the car and we do not have any license, tag or registration. We believe that it is fraud for the dealer and American Honda Finance Corp to send us home with the car on Saturday ( XX/XX/19 ), and then try to force us to accept new loan terms on Wednesday (XX/XX/19 ), and to be lured back to the dealership under false pretenses in their plot to perpetrate the fraud. We have contacted the dealership ( XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX, who have not provided any of the promised paperwork or responded to multiple emails ), American Honda Finance Corp ( they only handle payment issues ) and Honda Customer Service ( they only handle vehicle issues ).

Auto finance company previously reported late payments on account to all 3 credit reporting agencies at the time of vehicle trade in in XX/XX/XXXX. Auto finance company has recently added several additional late payments in XX/XX/XXXX to an account which has been closed since XX/XX/XXXX. Additional late payments are incorrect, fictitious and misappropriated and I am requesting immediate removal of this data from account history and credit reporting agency files immediately. Credit reports in XX/XX/XXXX reflected late payments reported to all 3 credit reporting agencies. In XX/XX/XXXX, auto finance company reported several additional late payments to all 3 credit reporting agencies while account has been closed due to vehicle trade in since XX/XX/XXXX. As of XX/XX/XXXX auto finance company had previously been reporting to XXXX a total of 2 late payments from XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. Complaint: I had a lease with Acura Financial Services from XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX. I purchased the vehicle from Acura Financial Services in XX/XX/XXXX. I received a bill from Acura Financial Services in XX/XX/XXXX/XX/XX/XXXX for personal property taxes paid for XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX City in the amount of {$750.00}. I lived in XXXX XXXX City in XXXX when I leased the vehicle and moved to XXXX XXXX County in XX/XX/XXXX, which are different taxing authorities. I notified Acura Financial Services of the move and they accurately reflected my address in XXXX XXXX County and sent me correspondence at the XXXX XXXX County address for the remainder of XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. Taxes were not payable to XXXX XXXX City for XX/XX/XXXX as I did not reside in XXXX XXXX City at anytime during XX/XX/XXXX. Upon receipt of the bill, I contacted Acura Financial Services and discussed the issue with them. At that time I was asked to send documentation of my move. I sent them the requested information, although they had been previously notified of the move. A couple months later I started receiving collection calls from XXXX. I contacted Acura Financial Services and they said they would pull the credit from XXXX and work with XXXX XXXX City to obtain a refund of the taxes incorrectly paid. In XX/XX/XXXX/XX/XX/XXXX I started receiving calls again from XXXX. I called XXXX and they told me that my account had a {$0.00} balance. They began calling again within a couple weeks and I called them back and I explained to them the issues. At this time they notified me that they are reporting this matter to the credit bureau. I contacted Acura Financial Services again and they told me they have no record of an amount due. I have fully exhausted my efforts with Acura Financial Services and XXXX and neither are able to assist me as they each tell me to the contact the other. My credit score is 820+ and I pay my bills. XXXX or Acura Financial Services is incorrectly reporting this issue and it is affecting my otherwise excellent credit score. This is not a bill I owe and it is Acura Financial Services responsibility to obtain the refund from XXXX XXXX City. I was never late to Acura Financial Services in the 3 years that I leased the vehicle from them. I request that my credit reporting be immediately fixed and it properly show that I do not have an outstanding amount and that no payment was ever late. Attached is the Utility Service Request for utilities at XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, MO XXXX, which is located in XXXX XXXX County dated XX/XX/XXXX, the date I purchased/closed on the house. Complaint: To Whom it may concern : I had leased a vehicle for 39 months with American Honda Financial Corporation ( the AHFC ) ; completed lease in good standing on XX/XX/XXXX with {$0.00} payments due. Also paid {$350.00} return fee for being loyal customer. Since XX/XX/XXXX the AHFC had possession of said vehicle.. On XX/XX/XXXX the AHFC sent me the letter stating that I owe property tax for 12 months of XXXX in the amount of {$490.00}! Per the contract that signed on XX/XX/XXXX with the AHFC I supposed to pay ONLY prorated amount of taxes for the months I leased ( which is 7 months in XXXX or {$290.00} and was paid on XX/XX/XXXX ). The contract ( Page 1. Section 13 ) clearly states " I agree to pay ... taxes OVER the TERM of my Lease ''. No updates ever provided by the AHFC that I have to pay ENTIRE year the taxes for the leased car that's already in the possession of the AHFC and either their employee or next lessee will be driving it while I'm paying for that enjoyment! When we moved to Missouri in XXXX the AHFC didnt send any notification ever that our contract terms will be changed due to some specifics in property taxation of the state. Indeed, the state of Missouri doesn't prorated its property tax bill on cars OWNED as of XX/XX/XXXX, each year. There is no word about " leased '' cars as the AHFC attempting reword in their benefit the state law!. To my multiple phone calls to the AHFC to remove that excessive, unlawful and fradulent fee I didn't get any reasonable answer and their XXXX clearly told that she will NOT connect me with the supervisor! The AHFC deceiving this fact stating that they attempted to connect with supervisor but you dropped off the phone. PURE LIE! On XX/XX/XXXX I did receive the collection letter from the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX that my account was placed in collection because presumably I owed to the AHFC {$200.00} of property taxes for the period of XXXX despite me no longer owning the vehicle for stated XXXX On XX/XX/XXXX I did receive another AHFCs letter demanding to pay {$200.00} and threatening to send my case to XXXX XXXX XXXX. Bottom line : the AHFC owned the car in XXXX and responsible for paying taxes in full. We only leased from them for 7 months in XXXX ( and paid for that period ) and for other 5 months the AHFC either collected that portion of the property taxes from a second lessee ( double collection? ) or their employee enjoyed driving it. That double collection attempt and fraud must be stopped immediately! The AHFC collects " return fee '' of {$350.00} from every lessor who doesnt want lease anymore a car from the AHFC and soo greedy to get somehow additional {$200.00} for the period when we did not lease their car! No single penny will be paid to the AHFC since its a unjustified charge! You are reportng a balance of {$5700.00}? Why is there a discrepancy in the amounts owed? Also why are YOU reporting a balance if you sold this account to a collection agency or you have another company collecting the balance. i have ALL the documentation mentioned as proof. The vehicle in question was purchased on or about [ XX/XX/XXXX ], financed by [ American Honda Financial Services ], repossessed in the state of Louisiana and sold by [ American Honda ] i'm assuming on or about [ XX/XX/XXXX ]. Complaint: I have an auto lease with Honda Financial Services and on XXXX of 2019 it reported to all 3 credit bureau that i was late 30 days and caused my score to drop over 50 points which denied me an approval for a coop / condo mortgage. These mortgages have stricter requirements than standard single family homes. I called XXXX to express my concern and they provided me with a certified copy stating that my account was never late or been delinquent since its birth and they have never reported anything negative to the credit bureau. How is that mistake made and how can it be fixed. Tried to dispute with all three credit bureau but my credit score stays the same and provided them with a copy of the letter exonerating me from such delinquency.

Complaint: I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX onXX/XX/XXXXafter my current car broke down. This was my first experience in a Honda store and Honda car. My son drove me there because I had no car. I test drove some cars and decided on XXXX XXXX but it was late in day so salesman XXXX XXXX suggested, demanded {$2000.00} deposit on car even though I was not getting the car untilXX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, Honda closed, Sunday. By Monday morning XX/XX/XXXX, I decided I wanted my deposit back and called and left message with Honda store phone. Salesman was supposed to pick me up later in morning around XXXX XXXX but instead immediately returned my call about my deposit return and was at my back door waiting to take me to Honda store. I had not eaten breakfast, was not bathed or dressed. I told him I had to put clothing on, so he waited. He took me back to the Honda store ( i had no car ). There he started having me drive more Honda cars stating I needed to make " a deal '' today XX/XX/XXXX. I asked for plain car repeatedly, he said he could not get. He told me the deal was today and I had to take a car on lot. I drove a dark gray XXXX. Then he asked me what color I wanted and showed me Black ( he said car no good ). He said I had choice of red, or white or silver. Only XXXX cars on lot. By now I am worn down, I felt like I had been kidnapped and was a hostage at the dealership and the only way out was to sign for lease. They put me in financial office, man on computer spitting out papers. Sign here, sign here, sign here. My son not here, at work. I am female alone among a pack of male wolves. This went on, I remember telling salesman and financial man I wanted to come back Tuesday because I spent all day at dealership and was tired. I do have XXXX. Instead pressured to sign. Other things happened that day. Got car, drove home and went to bed. Next day looked at lease to realize monthly payment very high, paperwork problems reading due to light ink, etc. Had more and more issues with car. Drove it. One day the car did not start. So, I waited and tried again and it started. I thought very strange, never had a car do this, something wrong. Called Honda corporate and customer service but they do nothing. I called salesman XX/XX/XXXX to say spots on car. He said I could not return with car until XX/XX/XXXX. By XX/XX/XXXX called salesman who passed me to manager to tell them I wanted to return car. Manager Mr. XXXX XXXX states " I sent paperwork in '' Too late. " We videotaped you '' No one told me I was being videotaped at Honda store. Called attorney. Spoke to Honda in CA many times and told the salesman was supposed to offer me death insurance in case I die before 36 months. Financial man never offered to me and Honda in CA stated, too late to buy it. This stress is killing me slowly. I used to be active and trusted people but now all my time is spent trying to find help to have lease rescinded. Can you help me? I am XXXX yrs widow female, will be XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, disgusted. Never had problem at any dealership in town until now. No one is willing to help me. Dealership just repeats " I signed contract '' " we have video ''. I stopped driving the car last Saturday. My old car took 3 weeks to fix, so I drive it. The car I leased is fancy sporty wheels, chrome on front, jazzy. I am also XXXX not 37, I wanted plain car. Can you help me? I will never buy any large purchase again without attorney present. Sad to say. Hope I stay alive next 36 months because this dealer never offered me death insurance to pay off lease if I die before lease ends. I am only signer on lease but according to Honda, if I die before lease up, my estate has to pay for lease. Can anyone help me? I just discovered late yesterday to call Attorney General of Ohio to file complaint and today to file complaint with CFPB and Federal Trade Commission. Contract numbers XXXX VIN # XXXX the finance company did Unfair practice for approving my car loan, because the finance company did not used the ( Income to Debt Ratio ) Formula before they approved to finance the car loan. {$41000.00} Including my down payment of {$6500.00} = XXXX. Total Payments will be {>= $1,000,000}. Amount finance {$22000.00}. Total finance including 16.64 % interest is {$13000.00}. The car that I wanted to HondaXXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. But they sold me the car without showing me or telling me the price of the car. And importantly they did not sold me car that I wanted XXXX XX/XX/XXXX .Instead dealer sold me the XXXX XXXX dealer did not even show me the car that I was buying and did not allowed me to test drive the car if I like It. If They did allowed me to test drive the car definitely I would not bought it. The reason Unfair Practice was used to me because my income is base on My social security XXXX {$940.00} monthly. And my car payment {$490.00}. the finance company did unfair practice knowing that I will go to default. Complaint: I leased a XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX Honda with the early termination of my XXXX XXXX XXXX lease, and milage overage payment included in the new lease payment. The XXXX XXXX Honda Sales Manager, XXXX XXXX himself drew up the early lease termination and milage overage and assigned it to a sales person, XXXX to process with me. Everything was processed so fast that I drove off the lot with a new XXXX leased XXXX XXXX and they kept my XXXX XXXX XXXX. Everything was fine but months later Honda Financial Services started contacting us. XXXX XXXX, XXXX and myself, were on a three way conversation with Honda Financial Services to get things resolved. It was finally solved as Honda Financial Services found the {$1600.00} sent then from XXXX XXXX XXXX to finalize the XXXX XXXX Lease. The monies were in some kind of suspended account because Honda Financial Services were not instructed in how to apply the monies. Months passed and again Honda Financial Services contacts us now through a collection agency saying we owe it another {$1000.00} on top of the {$1600.00}. We contact the dealership only to discover both the Sales Manager nor the salesperson no longer work there. They were not even employed there a year. Now I contact the Financial Manager and ask him to return my call ASAP it is urgent. I never receive any contact from him. So, I contact the General Manager and have corresponded with him through over 30 emails and phone conversations. He finally discovers they thought our lease was for 12,000 miles per year not per our lease agreement of 10,000 miles per year. All this information was given to XXXX XXXX Hondas Sales Manager and sales person at the time of out early termination as was the contact information to the original dealership we leased the XXXX XXXX XXXX from, XXXX of XXXX, XXXX, CT. We were given a new lease contract with the unpaid remaining XXXX Honda lease payment and the milage overage figures into the price of the XXXX XXXX XXXX lease. We hid nothing from the Sales Manager not XXXX XXXX Honda. Now the General Manager refuses to be responsible for their calculating error and is trying to make us pay for XXXX XXXX Hondas error in calculating our new XXXX lease payments and the XXXX payoff. He told us that in TX the leases are for 12,000 not 10,000 miles per year, and he believes they assumed our lease was for 12,000 miles per year not 10,000 miles per year. I told him we informed his Sales Manager, Salesman, and Financial Manager that our lease was for 10,000 per year at {$0.00} per mile over. We did not hide any information or contact information. Plus XXXX XXXX Honda had access to our records through Honda Leasing. Nothing was hidden. We are not responsible for XXXX XXXX Hondas miscalculations, failing to collect proper data, and failing to have proper procedures in place as a check and balance for their transactions. We are consumers not seasoned car dealers. I told the Sales Manager I could only spent a specific amount per month on a leased vehicle. That does not mean lease me a vehicle for the specific amount I can spend on a lease per month and then claim you miscalculated data and months later send me to a collection agency to collect the remainder of the money XXXX XXXX Honda wanted for the XXXX XXXX XXXX lease. Remedies are that they pay their error directly to Honda Financial Services and contact the credit bureaus to have this collection cleared from my good credit.

Complaint: I have several auto leases with American Honda Finance, I have always paid this on time. After the return of the vehicle XXXX XXXX which was returned XX/XX/18 the account was closed out paid in full. I did get a bill for mileage overage which is a separate agreement from the lease - with separate payments and therefore should not be reported under the lease account!

Complaint: When I went to lease vehicle I was promised prior to the agreement that in a year they would cut my monthly payments in half. In addition to that promise they added on extra products that I did not request. I tried to go to the dealer to fix the situation. Any reasonable person would not have took the car off the lot without those promises. When I reached out a year to the date via text the dealer said it can still be done when I went in person I was told no and they tried to get me to buy the car to lower the payments so I told them to take the car. The ending balance on the vehicle was approx 19,000. Not the XXXX thats reported. The car isnt even market value for XXXX. Market value is between XXXX and XXXX. This dealer is in direct violation of the TRUTH IN LENDING CONSUMER LEASING ACT. Ive consulted with numerous lawyers and they all say the dealer acted illegally. The texts shows the dealer knowingly tricked me as a consumer whos never leased a car. They should not lie to sell cars and then try to make me pay an insane price when what they did to me was illegal.

Complaint: I have leases a car from honda and payed the debt down to XXXX completely and about 3 months later my credit starts to receive a drastic change because honda has taken the time to charge me an excise tax that they were suppose to pay and apply to my bill. The XXXX $ payment was added 3 months later after the account was closed and settled completely and the car was no longer in my possession and total. I have reached out on multiple occasions but they feel as this my fault meanwhile city hall and Massachusetts requires the bill get put on the note of the lease to get payed as a result breaking their own rules and sending the amount into collections after trying to solve the issue.
