Complaint: My car company American Honda Finacial has contacted my job after told not to! I work at a hospital and I can not have any personal calls come through on the company phone. American Honda Finacial keeps calling my job and my Director told them they can not call the hospital phone. I have also recently spoken with Anerican Honda Finacial Repersenatives and had told them orally not to call my job and gave them an updated number and point of contact on XXXX XXXX, 2016. I also made a payment agreement! However, I am feeling unsafe that my Truck has a recall with airbags that Honda has yet to replace and fix! They say I have to wait for my second recall later! Any any of my payments were late I was trying to safe as much money as U can as a XXXX Mom to buy a much safer vehicle ASAP. The though of an airbag and Sharp metal pieces taking the life 's of anyone in the vehicle!

The purchase of the car was XXXX with a mandatory warranty, that i could not deny or remove from my loan. My payment was XXXX monthly. I was let go from my company in XX/XX/XXXX, and I kept up with my payments until I could not any more. I made last payment of XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. My car was repossessed XX/XX/XXXX. The amount I had left on the loan was XXXX. I never received notice of sale nor did i receive an updated amount that i owe after the sale of the car. My credit report states that i owe XXXX. Complaint: We have financed XXXX vehicles through American Honda Financial services AHFS ). We make monthly payment on XXXX vehicles by ACH from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. In XXXX of 2016, AHFS sent through XXXX payment requests for each vehicle ( I understand this happened to many people ). They quickly sent through a correction and our bank statement indicates we made XXXX payment on each car in XXXX. In late XXXX I began receiving massages from AHFS that just asked me to call them back. I was able to finally do that on XXXX XXXX. I had no urgency as they did not tell me why they were calling and I had no reason to think there was a problem with my account. On XXXX XXXX, they informed me that I was delinquent on XXXX of my vehicles as they had not received the XXXX payment. I told them that my bank shows that I did make the payment. They asked that we send them our bank statement and proof of payment. This was faxed to them on XXXX XXXX or XXXX. I called them on the XXXX and was told they had the documents and the payment would be posted. On XXXX XXXX I received another call from AHFS saying the payment had not been posted and we are concerned they are going to send this to collection. I have asked for this issue to be escalated with AHFS and I can not find a senior person there to talk with to resolve this issue.

Complaint: XXXX was repossessed by Honda Financial Services on or around XXXX XXXX or XXXX. As soon as vehicle was recovered, I contacted the company to try to obtain vehicle back. The customer agent advised me of the payment amount due and when it needed to be paid. The amount need to be paid was {$3700.00} and need to be paid by XXXX XXXX according to the customer service agent in the recovery department. I obtained a check from my financial institution and had it sent via overnight delivery on XXXX XXXX, 2016. After following up with the company on XXXX XXXX, the company vehicle disclosed that they would send the release forms to the company XXXX XXXX located in XXXX, TX the same day, so I could arrange for pickup of my vehicle the following week. Monday XXXX XXXX, I contacted XXXX XXXX and told that they received my documentation but my vehicle was transferred to Auction on XXXX XXXX according to XXXX at XXXX XXXX, her number is XXXX. I contacted Honda Financial Services again because I could n't understand why they would arrange a payment and then send the vehicle to auction before the agreed upon date. I was also told by the agent XXXX and XXXX that I actually had until XXXX XXXX to pay the fee to recover the vehicle. my vehicle is currently still at the auction location and I am trying to work out a time to retrieve my vehicle. All of my personal possessions have been removed from my vehicle and I was never provided any notice about any of these proceedings or what I could do to remedy this situation. I am also a servicemember with protection under the Servicemember Civil Relief Act, I served for 12 years, but recently separated in XXXX to move into the XXXX Component. I know there are laws to protect servicemembers, but my biggest issues revolved around not being able to recover my personal belonging and remitting a payment for a vehicle that was sent to auction after it was paid.

Complaint: American Honda Finance is incorrectly reporting a 30 day late payment on my credit report for XXXX XXXX. I have a credit report dated XXXX XXXX XXXX that did n't report a late for XXXX, but showed a late in XXXX XXXX, also in error. Also attached is a report from this account from XXXX directly that shows XXXX in XXXX. We notified Honda, and they updated XXXX to reflect as paid as agreed and removed the late, but at that time they THEN reported XXXX as a 30 day late, as shown on my credit report dated XXXX XXXX XXXX. There should be no lates shown since XXXX XXXX. I have tried at great length to have Honda correct it but they refuse. I am attempting to buy a home and a new car, and this error is having a significant impact on my ability to qualify and the cost of credit with interest rates. Honda had system problems that were causing payments to not be posted or processed correctly, and they even had an announcement on their website, and their phone system informed people of the problem when you called in as well. ( and we have a photo of their website showing that announcement ) We also have all the proof that shows when the payments were made ( not 30 days late! ) I spoke to XXXX in XXXX at Honda financial together with my mortgage broker, on XXXX XXXX XXXX, with no success. At our request, she transferred us to leave a voice mail for her supervisor, XXXX, which we did. Thank you for your assistance.

Complaint: Upon maturity of the loan they wanted me to pay almost an extra {$1000.00} without being able to tell me what it was for. When I refused they charged off. I purchased a XXXX Honda Accord and financed it through Honda financial account XXXX. During the course of the loan I did a couple of extensions. This changed my maturity date from XXXX to XXXX XXXX. I was half a month behind on payments due to a divorce and custody battle but always paid it before the 30 days and let them know ahead of time. The loan since always paid before 30 days never went past due o my credit. I would each month make the payment and the late fee so each bill read like a double payment. To illustrate the last XXXX bills were as followed : XXXX {$920.00} ( double my payment with the late charge ), XXXX : {$920.00}, but my last bill in XXXX came for : {$1800.00}. I was expecting another {$920.00} which I would pay half off in XXXX and the other half in XXXX and the loan balance would come to zero. However, when I saw the {$1800.00} bill I immediately called. I spoke to several different employees of the company, mailed XXXX different letters and still to this date they have been unable to explain what the additional fees owed are. I even demanded they explain this debt as per my consumer rights under FDCPA. They told me if I did n't pay it, the account would be charged off, and that I plainly owed it. They declined to explain here the fees came from, they declined to provide me proof of them, and they stopped responding to all my letters. Furthermore, they never notified me in writing that my account would be charged off as required by law and they sent it to " charge off '' less than 60 days past the maturity date.

Complaint: I guaranteed a company auto lease in XXXX with XXXX, the lease was for XXXX months and ended in XXXX XXXX. I made most payments on this lease because the company was not financially able to make them. In XXXX XXXX XXXX wrote me stating that a payment was due and I should remit it to them. I called XXXX stated that the lease has ended and that I no longer was associated with the firm, the response was that they extended the lease without informing me and that as long as the lease number did not change I was responsible. I stated that I did not authorize this extension and would not be responsible. Since that date the lease has been extended 3 times for a total of XXXX months without informing me, each time the company defaults they contact me and I repeat my original statement. XXXX has reported me as paying late to the credit reporting agencies damaging my credit rating. I have asked for copies of all signed documents and phone records relating to this lease and XXXX has refused to provide them. I do not believe that a 3rd party can obligate me without my knowledge or consent for a term now 50 % longer than my original commitment when XXXX was aware that this party was not credit worthy.

Complaint: We received a letter from Honda that said they would waive up to 3 remaining lease payments if we lease a new Honda. In XXXX 2016, my daughter and I went to the Honda dealership and worked through finding an AWD CRV to lease, which took time. The dealership was able to get a AWD CRV XX/XX/2016 and we leased the new vehicle. So, we returned the leased vehicle ( Civic ) to the dealership with my letter ( attached ) on the same day we leased the new vehicle. Everything went well with the return except they did not honor the waiver of the last 3 payments, Honda only waived two payments. When I called they said it was because the XXXX 2016 payment was delinquent ; however, this is the time we were working with the dealership to get a new leased vehicle and the letter does not reflect this would be a concern and I would have never let it go 30 days as my payments are due on the XXXX of the month. I believe the letter is deceptive because it does not mention about delinquency despite the fact that I was working with the dealership to get a new leased vehicle and I have always been current on my account and been a loyal and long Honda customer. The Honda Finance representative said she could do nothing to help me. So I had no choice but to pay the last payment and dispute this deceptive and frustrating situation. I also confirmed at the dealership with Honda Finance that my account was not delinquent and received a confirmation letter from Honda Finance ( see attached ), so none of my payments on this account has ever been late.

Complaint: Honda Financial has not lived up to their promises. They promised me in XXXX 2015 to change the due date to XX/XX/XXXX and they still have n't done this. There have been issues with Honda and electronic glitches causing harm to me and my credit. XXXX threatened me and said that I need to start cleaning my car because it 's going to get repossessed tomorrow. Honda gave me my account number over the phone and my Mom made the last payment. It has been two weeks and the payment has not been credited yet. I should n't be in repo status and XXXX had no right to harass me. When I requested to speak with a supervisor, she did n't let me until after four times. XXXX was professional. Please help because I should n't be threatened and she 's on tape. The other representatives are kind, however, XXXX made me scared.

Complaint: On or about XXXX 2013, I completed my payments to American Honda Financial ( AMF ) account XXXX. I delivered the car per received instructions to a XXXX dealer located in the city of XXXX XXXX, California. At that time the vehicle was inspected and I was release of all obligations under this contract. A couple of weeks later, the American Honda Financial contacted me requesting information about the whereabouts of the car. I disclosed the information and they were unable to locate the vehicle for days. When the vehicle was finally located, AHF requested a payment of {$5200.00}. Since then I have requested information on why I owe this money, AHF has been unable to provide a detail explanation of the a ledge debt. Per my contract with AHF, I have fulfilled my obligations, now, my credit report has been affected by the unilateral actions of AHF.

Complaint: I leased a new Acura XX/XX/2015 and turned in my previous Acura based on their assurance that my last two payments would be forgiven as I had moved to a new lease. Months later I was harassed repeatedly by Acura Finance representatives who informed me that I had failed to make these payments, despite the fact that had I never missed a payment while in possession of the car. Despite speaking to XXXX separate people and explaining the situation, they made no effort to resolve the issue and kept calling me to demand their money. After weeks of this harassment I noticed that negative information had been posted with the credit bureaus repeating the lie that I had failed to make payments for over 60 days. This negatively affected my Credit, something I find really offensive as a long time customer of Acura having leased XXXX previous vehicles, all from the same dealer due to my excellent credit, something they sought to undermine. Acura Finance never made the effort to reach out to the dealer to resolve this issue and simply informed me that it was my responsibility to call them and ensure that whatever money was owed to the finance arm was paid by them. This asinine strategy makes customers responsible for financial transactions between Acura 's financing arm and it 's dealer network, something I never heard of as a requirement for the lessee. After I reached out to the Dealer myself they informed me that they had failed to forward payment and would do so now. I do n't see why this was not done by Acura Financial months before and required my intervention to finally occur. What I find truly repugnant is that Acura appears to focus only on completing sales and receiving payment for itself throughout their sales process while simultaneously transferring responsibility for financial transactions onto the customer, punishing them through the Credit Reporting process with impunity for their mistakes. After contesting this issue I 've now received a bill for over {$600.00} for excess wear and tear, due within 30 days, something I was told would be covered with my upgrade to a new Acura at the time of the lease and a charge I 've never had to pay previously in any of my other leases. As a customer of Acura for two decades I 'm truly offended by their customer un-friendly approach to financial aspects of their business.

Complaint: I am an affected consumer who received an auto loan with an extremely high annual interest rate of 19.5 % from American Honda Finance Corporation in XXXX XXXX. I have reason to believe that this interest rate was assigned to me solely on the basis of my race ( XXXX ) and income level ( less than XXXX annual ). During my initial consultation with AHFC, I disclosed to the AHFC administrator my financial and living status which would hinder me from affording a large down payment for a vehicle aside from the value of my trade in. Because this would be my first time financing a vehicle and because I desperately needed reliable transportation to and from work and school, I foolishly informed the AHFC administrator that I was unaware of my options and next steps. The AHFC administrator then pressured me, quite aggressively, into trading in my old vehicle and accepting a 19.5 % annual interest rate and a $ XXXX monthly payment on the same day as my initial consultation. I even asked for a day or two to consider this offer before signing but the AHFC administrator assured me that he was " doing me a favor '' and that this offer would n't be available to me at a later date. As a result of such aggressive, inconsiderate, and discriminatory practices by AHFC, I have faced a considerable amount of financial hardships following this loan agreement including, but not limited to, falling behind 30-60 days on payments, getting denied credit due to negative marks from AHFC on my credit report, and being evicted from my primary residence only days after having my vehicle repossessed by AHFC. The vehicle issued by the loan in question was repossessed from my residence in XXXX XXXX by a third party debt collection agency. I received no notice from AHFC prior to or after the repossession. AHFC continues to submit negative remarks to my credit reports monthly in XXXX even though I no longer have the vehicle and have not received any notifications or information from AHFC since prior to the repossession.
