Complaint: I called Honda XXXX on XXXX, spoke with a lady named XXXX, requested the full payoff amount for my lease/loan. I was given the same amount that appears on my online statement. I paid {$22000.00} in full immediately following the call checked on XXXX and the assessed XXXX in tax fees. When you call for a payoff that is the amount you owe, should be nothing more. This is unbelievable practices by Honda. From my understanding taxes are included in the lease payment, so where did this come from and how can these dealerships/finance companies continue to do this to the consumer. Secondly, we moved from XXXX to XXXX XXXX and Honda changed our car payment ( increased it due to taxes ) without any notice to us, just took the money out of our account. Same happened again when we moved to XXXX, fortunately the amount was lower this time, but still no written notice of any kind. Something has to be done about taking advantage of the consumer.

Complaint: I am currently due for my XXXX XXXX payment on my vehicle. I have been receiving numerous phone calls after the seven day grace period. Yesterday I received XXXX calls back to back at XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. I had missed those calls and they kept calling back. That is harassment! I worked collections and there are rules against constant calling and hanging up and calling back again and again!

On XXXX/XXXX/15 Honda Financial sent me aletter stating that they had been unable tooffer me credit " on the terms originally requested '' and that " our subsequent counteroffer has sinceexpired. '' The problem here is that I have nodocumentation of Honda Financial ever making aloan offer to me, nor do I have any record ofHonda making a counteroffer. The referencenumber on the letter from Honda is XXXX. Furthermore, Honda said that I couldobtain written documentation on reasons for theirdecision by contacting their XXXX, XXXX officeat ( XXXX XXXX XXXX. But when you call that number, Honda claims that you need to make the requestin writing. Their XXXX XXXX letter to me makes noreference to the need to make the request inwriting, versus by phone.

I was a college student and I paid faithfully until I was injury on my job as a teacher assistant, then they came and taken the car from me in the year of XXXX, after I informed American Honda Finance Corporation my status, that I was on workman comp and I paid faithfully and they the American Honda Finance Corporation just up and taken my vehicle, which caused me hardship. The company did not even try to work with me, and I was paying what I could, the American Honda Finance Corporation repossessed my vehicle. I feel like they did me wrong, after I had purchased XXXX XXXX most of my life.

Complaint: Fair debt collection practices act violations:1. Debt collectors are not permitted to ask a consumer to pay more than they proportionally owe [ 15 USC-1692c ] 807 ( 2 ) ( a ). By failing to validate the debt, the debt collectors are doing exactly that. By failing to provide a CERTIFIED STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTING as required under the Uniform Commercial Code Article XXXX. 2. Sending a paper known as a financial statement that is not signed and or certified DOES NOT constitute as a valid certified statement of accounting [ 15 USC-1692g ] 809 ( b ) and violates the rights of the consumer or borrower. 3. The debt collectors have added on extra fees that were never provided to the consumer or borrower and is in violation of the FAIR DEBT PRACTICES ACT [ 15 USC-1692F ] 808 ( I ). Because an accurate certified STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTING has yet to be provided, the actual amount purportedly owed is misrepresented and violates the rights and entitlements of the consumer and or borrower. 4. The purported debt collectors and or financial institution have not only been argumentative, but have conducted themselves in a manner unbecoming of a debt collector as outlined in [ 15 USC-1692d ] 806. Their language and conduct violate the basic and common standards of the FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES and BUSINESS ETIQUETTE. 5. The financial institution and or debt collectors are threatening to take property that is not theirs to take. This is a violation of the FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT [ 15 USC-1692e ] 807. 6. Debt collectors are prohibited and or forbidden to report a purported debt to anyone once they have been told to cease and desist all debt collection activities by the consumer and or their representative ( s ) [ 15 USC-1692e ] 805 ( b ) because the debt has yet to be validated or verified, reporting to the several different credit agencies is a violation of federal law. 7. After receiving notice to cease and desist all communication until the debt has been validated and verified the financial institutions and or debt collectors have violated federal law [ 15 USC-1692c ] 805 ( c ).

Complaint: They sent me a bill for excess miles on a lease. According to my agreement of the new lease with XXXX, they were supposed to not charge me for the excess miles. The leasing company was taking care of this. Unfortunately, XXXX never forgave the excess miles charge and I paid it, as I did n't want it on my credit report. Apparently, it went to my credit report anyways.

Complaint: I WAS IN THE MARKET FOR A SPECIFIC HONDA ACCORD COUPE. I WENT TO XXXX XXXX HONDA, AND SPOKE WITH XXXX XXXX XXXX, A SALES PERSON THAT I HAD DEALT WITH PREVIOUSLY. I ASKED HER IF SHE HAD THE VEHICLE I WANTED, SHE SAID YES. I ASKED FOR THE COST AND SHE REPLIED THAT SHE HAD TO ASK HER MANAGER XXXX XXXX. WHEN SHE RETURNED SHE STATED THE THE COST OF THE CAR WAS $ XXXX. I THEN ASKED HER WHY WAS IT SO HIGH AS I HAD RESEARCHED THE CAR, AND THE MOST THEY WERE ASKING FOR THE CAR FROM XXXX, AND THE BEST PRICE, WAS {$31000.00}, IF I 'M NOT MISTAKEN. I THEN ASKED HER IF THAT WAS THE BEST THEY COULD DO, AND AGAIN SHE HAD TO SPEAK WITH HER MANAGER. AFTER AROUND 15 MINUTES, SHE RETURNED AND TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE DISCOUNTING THE CAR BY {$990.00}. I ASKED HER IF THAT WAS THE BEST THEY COULD DO, SHE REPLIED YES, THE CAR IS IN GREAT DEMAND, AND WELL, NEED I SAY MORE. I ASKED IF I COULD SEE THE CAR, SHE REPLIED THAT THE CAR HAD BEEN MOVED, SO THAT NO ONE COULD SEE IT. I TOOK IT AT FACE VALUE. SO WE STARTED WITH THE TRANSACTION. NOW I HAD A DRAFT FROM THE XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, FOR THE BALANCE OF NEW CAR AFTER THE TRADE IN. THEY EVEN REQUESTED ASSURANCE THAT THEY WOULD GET THE LEAN RELEASE FROM THE XXXX, WHICH XXXX FAXED TO THEM, TWICE. BUT THEY STILL WOULD N'T RELEASE THE NEW CAR. WHEN ALL THE TRANSACTIONS WERE DONE, THEN THEY TOLD ME I COULD PICK UP THE CAR. WHEN I ARRIVED HOME, I WAS REVISING BY PAPERWORK, AND TO MY AMAZEMENT, THE MSRP ON THE VEHICLE WAS, {$33000.00}. WELL AS YOU CAN IMAGINE I WAS HIGHLY UPSET. I DID N'T CONTACT XXXX XXXX, THE NEXT DAY TUESDAY BECAUSE SHE WAS OFF. BUT I DID SEND HER AN E-MAIL EXPLAINING HOW I FELT, THAT ACTION I WOULD TAKE IF THEY DID N'T MAKE THE SITUATION RIGHT WITH ME. I FELT LIKE A COMPLETE IDIOT. HOW I LET THESE PEOPLE TOTALLY DISRESPECT AND HUMILIATE ME. I SERVED MY COUNTRY IN THE XXXX XXXX XXXX, FOR 20 YEARS, I 'M ALSO XXXX, AND THEY STILL SAW TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ME. WHEN I FINALLY SPOKE TO XXXX XXXX SHE TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD TO RAISE THE PRICE BECAUSE THE CAR WAS IN GREAT DEMAND, AT WHICH TIME I POLITELY HUNG UP THE PHONE. WHAT I REQUESTED FROM THEM TO MAKE IT RIGHT, WAS TO GIVE ME THE CAR AT COST, BECAUSE OF THEIR DECEPTIVE PRACTICES. FOR THEM TO RETURN THE DIFFERENCE BACK TO XXXX, WITH AN APOLOGY. AFTER THIS I RESEARCHED THEIR HISTORY, AND TO MY AMAZEMENT, THERE WAS ACTION TAKEN BEFORE ON THIS DEALER FROM THE ATTORNEY GENERAL 'S OFFICE, WHO I WILL ALSO SUBMIT MY COMPLAINT. I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY DO N'T TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ANY ONE ELSE. THEY ARE A BUSY DEALERSHIP, I WONDER HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE THEY HAVE DECEIVED. Complaint: I called today XXXX/XXXX/2015 to American Honda Financial Services to discuss the account and resolve a situation that we are encountering with the monthly payments due to my medical situation I got behind. My daughters have been helping me with the medical issues and now helping me financially since I am XXXX. Today my oldest daughter called American Honda Financial and they wanted to speak to me so I can authorize my child to speak to them. My daughter called we was on a XXXX way called and I gave more than XXXX times autorization to American Honda Financial to speak to my daughter on my behalf. The lady that was on the other phone refused to accept my authorization to the point she was attacking me and pushing me to speak to her about my account She wanted to get my daughter of the phone and called me direct which I do n't know the number I have my daughters and I dont know it by memory. My daughter called the main number once again to report the situation to the coorporate office and they refused to transfer her with me on the line. I felt threatened and discriminated.

Complaint: I purchased a car from XXXX where they up charged me on the interest rate. I fell behind in my note due to a legal situation where my mother was overdosed causing her to die and I ended up with funeral expenses as well as inherited debt. As of today my car has been reposes and Honda would n't offer me a payment plan. But only a pay off amount of XXXX. I just recently settled my mother 's medical malpractice case and have a check that I am waiting to clear. I asked could they give me 10 days for the check to clear and they wo n't even allow that. Here it is I 'm trying to pay my car off and be done with them so they can be done with me. Only after over charging me for a car and giving me way less than what should have been given on a trade in with less than XXXX miles and XXXX driver in perfect condition.

Complaint: I noticed that my credit score was negatively impacted when I was in process of refinancing my mortgage. This was a result of an oversight on my part for missing my XXXX 2015 car payment to Honda Financial Services. When I did realize the oversight I immediately paid XXXX 's and XXXX 's payment. I feel that Honda Financial Services did not pursue all avenues of making me aware of the situation and did not inform me of the negative impact of this oversight would have on my credit score. I did not receive any written documentation to inform of my missed payment nor were any voicemail messages left on my telephones ( home/cell ). I did call Honda Financials Services once I realized this negative impact and was instructed by the customer service representative that there is nothing they could do to reverse the negative rating. Again I strongly believe Honda Financial Services should have been more proactive to avoid this negative impact to my credit score especially when I have the means to pay. To this date I have not missed another payment.

Complaint: American Honda Finance via a Honda Dealer forced me into an auto loan contract at an exorbitant interest rate in XX/XX/2011. American Honda Finance along with the Honda Dealer discriminated against me based on my race, religion, color and national origin. The dealer promised me an interest rate of 5.99 % APR on my loan and took my down payment checks. But when I looked at the contract, the interest rate was 16.99 % APR. I refused to sign the contract and I wanted to back off but the finance manager told me that I can not back off as I have already gave the checks for down payment and if I back off now, I will lose the down payment amount and on top of that they will sue me for additional damages for backing off from the deal. I signed this contract under severe duress from this unscrupulous finance manager who threatened, intimidated and coerced me into signing this contract. He also told me, if I do n't sign this contract, he will call the police and have me arrested for theft. The Finance manager also added add-on products without my consent, even after, I declined the add-on products. I have no idea what did I do to deserve this treatment. I can not find appropriate words to describe the pain, humiliation, grief and suffering, American Honda Finance and the Honda Dealer inflicted on me.
