Complaint: I purchased a car in 2005 value {$18000.00} Honda Civic. I paid the car note for 4 years at the end of the 4 years I was told that there was a balloon payment of {$8000.00} on the car. I had no idea I had a balloon payment. I told Honda finance that I did not have the {$8000.00} to make a XXXX time payment and they told me I had to return the car after paying for it for 4 years and they will treat it as a lease.I returned the car in great condition with minimal mileage. Now 6 years later Honda reported to credit bureaus that I owe {$380.00}, XXXX for a Civic. I have called several times to Honda Finance to dispute the amount and they said it was corrected .Today it is still on my credit report. This has stopped me from getting other loans or jobs.

Complaint: In XXXX I put a significant down payment on an Acura XXXX form XXXX XXXX in Virginia XXXX, with some financing help through Acura Finance Corp. Now American Honda Finance Corp XXXX I made my monthly payments to American Honda Finance Corp. for approximately 2 years before I was offered a lower interest rate on the loan from XXXX Bank in XXXX VA. In XXXX XXXX XXXX Bank took over the loan and I began to make monthly payments to XXXX Bank up to XXXX XXXX XXXX when I made a significant payment to purchase the car outright, yet never was given the title to the car. Since that time my wife and I have spent hundreds of hours in the Bank and on the phone with various departments at the Bank, the Honda Finance Corp., the Federal Reserve and the Attorney General of XXXX and XXXX to get the title to my car, all time taken away from XXXX our jobs costing us XXXX dollars. As of today XXXX XXXX, XXXX I still do not have the title to my car. This is my families only car to get us to work, groceries etc ... Unfortunately we were left with little choice but to have to drive this car without proper registration or tags, which we could not get from the XXXX without the title to the car. Since XXXX XXXX XXXX my wife who is the primary user of the car has been pulled over countless times and been ticketed at least twice resulting in court cost, XXXX fees and a suspended license. All the while why we visited the bank pleading for our title only to be put in the middle of XXXX XXXX Bank XXXX Honda Finance Corp. to get our car title which we have not even been able to pay property take on for over XXXX years. XXXX Bank 's various departments told my wife and I we had to get documentation from Honda while Honda told us that they could not release these documents to either my wife or myself since we did not own the car, XXXX bank owned the car. At the same time XXXX Bank said that they could not get the documents from Honda Finance Corp that would lead to us getting the car title. We spoke to people from every department at XXXX Bank just to get the same run around. Finally about three weeks ago on an unrelated matter my wife was at the XXXX and inquired as to who held the title to our car if we did not. The XXXX told us they showed that the car was a leased car through American Honda Finance Corp. So again we made more calls and my wife made more visits, now in tears, to the bank only to be told this would be taken care of immediately and someone would get back to us in regards to getting our car title. As of today no one has. At the advice of the Department of Motor Vehicles I have contacted the XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, The XXXX Attorney General 's office and the Federal Reserve, which I am doing today. My wife and I have do not have many friends or family in XXXX to borrow a car from since we have only lived here fro 5 years, XXXX of which, we have been hijacked of our rights, and car by XXXX Bank and Honda Financial Corporation. Today we learned from Honda Finance Corporation that no one from XXXX Bank has contacted them in regards to our account since XXXX. I called the local police to ask if there was some way I could get any paper work so that my wife and I could drive our car until this issue is resolved and they could not. In fact they advised me to drive the car until I received another ticket and this time not settle out of court but go before a judge. I am today filing complaints against XXXX Bank as well as Honda Financial Corporation in the hopes of first getting the title to my car which I should have rightfully had on XXXX XXXX XXXX or their about when I paid off my car. How could I pay so much money to a bank that seemed to never even hold the title to my car. This entire ordeal over the past two years has cost my family not only thousands of dollars,

Complaint: I was made a principal car loan maker or buyer, instead of a co-maker at XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX, XXXX by The Office Manager just to materialize the car lease. I was deprived to read the contract to fully understand and was given limited explanation and forced me to sign. Since that time my sister-in-law badly needs the car for their children, but to no avail I was forced to signed against my will. My sister-in-law relatives after 5 months became a strong XXXX victim in the XXXX, so she decided to surrender the car for financial constraints. The XXXX resale the car and charged the difference to me since my name was a Primary Buyer. The American Honda XXXX was charging me {$7900.00} despite of the request to waive the differential cost since we paid during 5 months and the car was in good condition and my sister-in-law relatives were badly affected by the XXXX and need to send financial assistance. That 's why she gave up the car. Now, the differential cost was sent to XXXX XXXX , XXXX as the debt collector 's agency. My sister-in law who is the sole working since XXXX with a XXXX child and XXXX children can not afford to pay the difference. Since my name was in the primary lease contract, my credit score became worsened and very low for that situation. I need to clear up my name and corrected the reports from XXXX reporting agencies. I can not pay the said amount because I was only made a principal by the XXXX because of my high and good credit score during the signing of lease in XXXX. May I request to please help me to clear my name and to ask the XXXX to waive their claim. Thank you.

I have the title hence I paid it. Think they are angry because they wanted the car to sell to make more money.

Complaint: I turned in a Honda Civic I was leasing in XX/XX/XXXX. On that date, I received a new Honda Civic. On XXXX/XXXX/2015 I woke up and found my new Civic was gone. After calling everyone I needed to report the car stolen, I found out it had been repossessed. I called Honda Financial and asked why. They informed me it was due to nonpayment and I was XXXX days behind. I asked how since I made every payment. They did check into it when I stated all my payments have been made. They saw the money had been routed to my old account instead of my new one. I asked if there was anything I could do to get it out of repossession and clean this off of my credit report since I have never missed any payments and they could see that when they checked my accounts. They informed me I had to talk to the recovery department about this. I had many issues with the recovery department the first day I tried to talk with them. I called numerous times to be routed to someone else I could speak with to work out my problems with the person I was dealing with in recovery and with my account. However, every call was forwarded to the person I was having problems with and I was told by her, there was no supervisor available and no one else to take the calls or complaints. I admit, I forgot to change the account number on my online banking. I also did not open any mail due to the fact I knew how much my bill was and what date it was due and that I had made all the payments. I never received a check back from Honda until after it was repossessed. Had I received this, that would have sent a flag up to me to call and fix the problem. After trying to work something out with Honda, I was told there was absolutely nothing I could do and would have to pay all repossession fees, the lot fees and have it on my credit report.
