Complaint: My loan was with Honda Financial Services. My car was totaled after only 2 months. It was a new car with about XXXX miles. XXXX paid off most of the loan. I had Gap insurance as well. Honda dealership processed my paperwork for the Gap Loan and faxed all documents to the Gap Loan insurance company. Honda kept harassing me for the remainder of the payment after they received most of the money from XXXX and all warranties were repaid. Gap was the only remaining money owed to Honda. I had a legal contract with the Gap company. The Gap company was the responsible party for paying Honda, not me. The Gap company did not pay for months, stalling the process. Then, XXXX XXXX XXXX only paid Honda a portion of the remaining amount owed. I was harassed by Honda to pay the remainder of the Gap payment for months. I told Honda many times that I was not the responsible party any longer and that I had a legal contract with the Gap Company. Honda financial Services threatened my credit.Now, the remaining funds owed to Honda are on my credit and and I have a low credit score and can not finance a new car. I have bought XXXX Hondas in the last six years and paid every month on time. My payment history is perfect. I believe this is a form of extortion when companies demand payment that a customer does not owe legally. The company can threaten your credit and then customers may pay bills that are nor legally theirs just to keep negative information off their credit reports. I have paid entities in the past when threatened. But this time, I will not pay Honda money that I do not owe them. I have a legal contract that states that I am covered by Gap Insurance. Credit bureaus should not accept inaccurate information. All negative information on credit reports should have to be authenticated. Credit Bureaus are also at fault for providing a medium that will ruin a consumer by any unethical company or entity that has the inclination to threaten consumers. Consumers have no where to turn to stop this illegal practice. The government should take action in this matter in order to protect consumers from the illegal practices that effects an individual 's credit for years. My identity has been stolen two times by XXXX different people. I have been through a nightmare with no help from the credit bureaus. I am in my XXXX nightmare now. I vowed to never use credit after my identity was stolen. I will not be a victim of the thieves and the credit bureaus. I have not had a credit card since the 1990 's. I pay cash for everything or I do n't buy it, except cars, unfortunately. I assume this is another medium disguised as a genuine place to voice complaints that go no where.

Complaint: I have purchased XXXX XXXX 's from American Honda Finance and never missed or been late on a payment. Six months before my Lease conclusion, as recommended by Honda, I went into XXXX XXXX XXXX of XXXX, TX. from whom I 've purchased XXXX Cars to get my newest XXXX. As a single Woman I was treated as if my greatest concern was how I could get the most expensive car I could finance. I explained several times which Vehicle I wanted only to be told I wanted another. This continued until and past the maturity of my Lease. Each weekend began thinking the whole thing would be over soon but ended with no new Car. 6 weeks after my Lease conclusion I called Honda to file a complaint. I explained that despite my history I was being told I needed a minimum of {$1000.00} down in order to receive a {$610.00} payment on a XXXX I did not want. This was $ XXXX over my {$0.00} down & fully loaded XXXX. I was also told in 6 months when I had shown I could reliably make the payment I could refinance the new Car and receive a better monthly payment. When I questioned " Does n't my History already show this? '' It was glazed over. After Months of frustration I called to extend my lease while I tried to find another XXXX Dealership. I made a full car Payment plus a fee XXXX/XXXX/2016 and explained I would be caught up and pay any additional fees XXXX/XXXX/2016. XXXX XXXX/XXXX/2016 my Daughter informed me that " Strange Men were in the Yard with Flashlights. '' They explained that they were here to repo my Car for nonpayment. I asked If I could call Honda to find out what was going on and was told " No, they 're not even in until XXXX. '' The men allowed us to remove our family 's things and were very polite considering. I was left with no way to get work and miles from the nearest rental. I ultimately missed over half a day 's work just trying to find someone I could speak with at Honda. When I finally spoke to a Person at Honda she could n't find my information. When she did she did n't understand why the Car had been repossessed. Instead of helping, instead of anything, she just hung up on me. The second person I reached told me the situation was my fault and I might be allowed to go find my car and get my things. However, if I wanted the Car back I would have to pay the full purchase price of the Vehicle. When I pointed out I had paid ( bank verified ) Honda on the XXXX and I had agreed to paying any fees by XXXX XXXX he eventually acknowledged my payment. He told me I should have followed up but now there was nothing he for me without remittance of the full purchase price of the Car. When asked several times if there was anyone I could speak with who could help he did not respond. After going to a XXXX Dealership for the first time in 20 years, I was informed that my Credit report shows I am 2 months behind on a lease, the Car was " recovered '' and I have 5 months on a Six Months extension to my Lease. They refused any any kind of financing despite my past Car Payment History. As a Single Mother and XXXX I commute XXXX miles each way to XXXX XXXX where I work long days with XXXX. I am Currently driving a rental from XXXX Rental that is due back in 36 hours. I ca n't afford to keep out any longer. I am faced with going back to a dealership I do n't trust because they are the only people who actually know my past payment history and situation. I do n't expect any kind of respect or reasonable payment options. My dissatisfaction and disappointment in Honda American Financing are beyond my expression.

Complaint: American honda finance is practicing to request for settlements such as the company received from me XX/XX/XXXX. Then report to the IRS I owe the remaining balance. Although the debt was charged off on credit report XX/XX/XXXX. The company would not show up in court when I filed a complaint against the XXXX Honda Dealership and American Honda. It was told there address was not listed in XXXX. So I received the run around from the time vehicle was purchased. I traded in a XXXX Toyota for a XXXX Honda XX/XX/XXXX then received a bogus contract the seller ran off for his practices where he received monetary for a transaction that I ended up having difficulty getting rid of once the company played there shady games towards me.

Complaint: I took out a car through honda fiancial services and i was always good on my payments. Recently unfortunatly i was laid off my job, about 4months ago. I was able to keep up with the payments till about 2 months ago and about every week or so honda fin. Would call me and ask about what was going on which i had told them a bunch of times that i was laid off. Any ways most recently i call them back due to a voicemail they left me and i spoke to one of there representatives, which at first was very polite. I called them because of course im concern of my finacial situation. I was trying to look for a solution or help see what i could do so i mention a couple things i heard they could possibly do, and immediatly she turn to this unfiltered, unprofessional, and agressive person. Saying that what ever i heard was wrong that i should know its my responsiblity to pay the payment. I still kept my cool and explained how i didnt ask to get laid off. She still was very rude and said you have to figure it out, again i would tell her more of my situation and again " you have to figure it out '' thats all she had to say. Obiously it upset me with so much pressure put.

Complaint: Honda Financial Services has repeatedly ignored my requests to provide documented signature proof validation and verification of an alleged Charge-off debt from XX/XX/XXXX per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act FDCPA 807. Thus, Honda Financial Services has repeatedly violated the law by reporting false or misleading representations per [ 15 USC 1962e ] by not providing this proof to the CRA 's and me, the consumer, when requested. I have made numerous disputes since XX/XX/XXXX directly with each of the credit reporting agencies ( CRA 's ) to provide me verification of signature proof of an alleged debt for {$5800.00} recorded as a Charge-off and Repossession on my CRA 's. The CRA 's ( e.g., XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX ) have repeatedly stated the debt was verified with them without any documented proof given to me per [ 15 USC 1962e ]. Each of the CRA 's eventually stated that I must dispute directly with Honda Financial Services, and that " there is nothing we can further do, '' when spoken to directly, in this case XXXX. Thus, I sent a certified return signature receipt letter to Honda Financial Services on XX/XX/XXXX ( attached herein this complaint ). I received a response from Honda Financial Services on XX/XX/XXXX ( attached herein this complaint ), no return signature receipt which I had to pay extra for, requesting that I instead provide Honda the validation of the debt, directly implying that Honda has no obligation to provide me, the consumer, any validation of a debt record it created in the first place to report to each CRA. This was again illegal. As shown in my letter of XX/XX/XXXX I provided an account number for the alleged debt, my name, address, and social security number. As one can clearly read in Honda 's response letter of XX/XX/XXXX, it is asking me for this same information as well as a VIN # for which Honda clearly has in its records but did not feel like searching its own database to secure this information or documentation. Under the law, if Honda Financial Services has signature proof it must provide it to consumers upon their request to verify any reporting of an alleged debt. Honda failed to do this under the law. A second certified return signature receipt letter was mailed to Honda Financial Services on XX/XX/XXXX ( attached herein this complaint ). Again, Honda failed to comply under the law and sent me the same response letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, no return signature receipt as was required of Honda, and failed to comply with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act FDCPA 807 and [ 15 USC 1962e ]. As I stated in each letter to Honda Financial Services, I warned it that I would be reporting Honda to the FTC, Attorney General 's Office in my state, and or file suit against them along with a public press release regarding Honda Financial Service 's behaviors and actions in this matter. Apparently, Honda Financial Services does not take me seriously. In addition to this formal FTC complaint, I will be publishing a Press Release which outlines the illegal behaviors, actions, and practices of Honda Financial Services. If Honda Financial Services can not provide me any signature proof validation and verification of this alleged XX/XX/XXXX Charge-off and Repossession it must by the laws stated herein this complaint have it deleted IMMEDIATELY with each of the CRA 's the debt is reported to -- end of story. If I do not receive remediation in this matter per this FTC complaint I will be filing a small claims lawsuit to force Honda 's hand.

Complaint: My daughter got a car lease through Honda Financial that was a special program for college students still in school at the time. A month after she took out the loan the job she had still a XXXX suddenly cut her hours putting her in a position to get behind. She did make contact with them and advised them of the issue. Being young an nave to dealing with some issues thought they would give her sometime for she personally never communicated with them afterward. The letter to the credit bureau below explains a lot as well. I have an issue because Honda NEVER contacted me as the co signer which they admitted, having my contact information from the initial application failing to utilize this information to reach me by phone, negligence on their part. I should have been contacted by PHONE I am more familiar with negotiating temporary solutions with financial institutions. I am also having issues because this being a " start up '' program for college students and they were willing to give her a loan though she had not graduated/had gainful employment, greed. We could have worked out something and they probably have taken advantage of others. She has since graduated and compliant. This is wrong. XXXX : We rec 'd a report from XXXX XXXX Honda dated issue XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. This report shows accurate information for XXXX, XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and XXXX, our reasons for filing the dispute. My daughter contacted Honda in XX/XX/XXXX that her job her cut her hours and she would be late on her payment. She was given the impression she had some time. After that discussion Honda took a call from a college room mate of her that out of spite answered her phone one day while she was in the shower and pretended to be her. This person also gave Honda a XXXX phone number ( my daughter and I have NEVER had a ( XXXX ) exchange number and they were conversing with her as she pretended to be my daughter. My daughter did not talk to Honda again nor did they contact her or myself at the numbers on the loan application. Honda admitted to never contacting me, the co-signer to inform me that the loan is in jeopardy for I COULD HAVE MADE THE PAYMENTS. My daughter took this person to court and filed an identify theft charge, and to all the credit bureaus. I have issues that Honda 1 ) NEVER CONTACTED ME AND ALLOWED THIS SITUATION TO GET OUT OF CONTROL TO MAKE MONEY OFF OF FEES. 2 ) WE WERE NOT AWARE THE ACCOUNT WAS BEING PAID ONE MONTH IN THE WHOLE THEREFORE CAUSING LATE PAYMENTS FROM XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted Honda after receiving the issued report from XXXX date XXXX/XXXX/XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX in which I was told to fax info because we felt the late fees were unfair and unethical, taking advantage when they did not contact me. A heated discussion took place with a XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX in which I felt the report was changed out of spite to reflect what was sent on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX by XXXX. Due to the identity theft issue, Honda never contacting me or actually talking to my daughter after XX/XX/XXXX ( after which a payment was made for XXXX ) that this is Honda 's error in not contacting us by the phone numbers only on the loan application. No other numbers. This is a financial program that is suppose to HELP graduating college students not hurt them like Honda is doing to her credit and they could have worked with her more by giving her an opportunity and delay a payment or two by just adding them to the end of the loan. I KNOW THEY CAN DO THIS BECAUSE MY FINANCIAL DEBOTORS HAVE DONE IT. In resolution, it is felt Honda should change the report from XXXX of XXXX/XXXX/XXXX back to reflect the accurate information reported on the report of XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. We have enclosed copies of all correspondences, documentation to support this request. Please forward to Honda Office of the President. At this point we regret doing business with Honda. Complaint: In XXXX of 2016 Honda Financial took out XXXX car payments for the same month charging my account twice, and causing me to over draft. I was on vacation XXXX, with no money, because of this I was forced to use my credit cards, and now I have to pay that back with interest. Honda later returned that extra payment, but now they claim that they deposited it twice. They have been hounding me for months saying I owe them a payment of {$390.00} I even sent XXXX faxes with my bank statements to prove this was not the case ( I had to pay for these faxes since I do n't own a fax ) they still insist I owe them the money. We also conferenced called my bank twice, and they confirmed that they never deposited XXXX amounts of {$390.00} Now this morning they emailed me telling me they were going to pursue other methods to get their money. My question is whose going to pay me my over draft fee 's, my credit cards that had to be used to come back home, the constant harassment, my time, the faxes? I am not a rich man which is why I bought a Honda and not a XXXX, {$390.00} is a lot for a person living pay check to pay check. I will never ever do business with Honda Financial. Thank You.

Complaint: American Honda Finance has reported incorrect information to XXXX, has agreed with me that the information on my credit report is incorrect and has told me on numerous occasions that it would be corrected. To date, it has not been corrected, and it is hurting my credit. American Honda Finance has reported that my account was paid in a settlement, and that {$220.00} was written off. Numerous Honda Recovery service agents have verified for me this is incorrect, and that my account should read. Account Paid in Full. Account Closed. Also payment history shows a charge off in XXXX 2015. There was absolutely no activity in my account in 2015. Nothing was charged off in 2015. This should be changed to ND for No Data. My account under Account History reads Charged off as of 2015. This is incorrect and should be deleted. There are XXXX False items that need to be deleted/corrected. Thank you for hearing my case. I appreciate your time.
