Complaint: Upon the expiration of my lease I applied for a car loan from Honda Finance. There were special financing offers including a .9 % which I desired. The agreed purchase price was {$16000.00} which is the requested financing. I had made thirty six timely payments on my lease with Honda but was turned down for financing. I received a letter stating the reason as " AHFC must verify information '' I believe the abbreviation is American Honda Finance Corp. I believe I was denied a loan because I am XXXX.

Complaint: We have a lease with Honda. XXXX account number XXXX. We turned the car in XX/XX/XXXX. I called the county and paid the amount owed. Honda had paid the entire amount due. XXXX XXXX VA then issued Honda a tax refund check ( for XXXX leases ). The check was cashed by Honda. XXXX was XXXX of the lease 's on the refund check. Honda is wanting us to pay this amount even though with the refund check they actually owe us {$17.00}. I have submitted the information to Honda on XXXX separate occasions the date of the check the amount of the check and the leases that were affected for refund on this check from XXXX VA treasurers office. The check has been cashed by Honda. If we were not credited for the money are there XXXX other tax payers and leases that have not received. Now they want to report this on our credit report. I have called and called. I did get a case number at Honda today XXXX the number I called was XXXX ) and my case number is XXXX. The customer service people have told me repeatly that someone from the tax department is going to call me but they do n't and they do n't credit the account. They now are also asking that we pay the {$35.00} balance for the tax even though XXXX has sent them {$53.00} to credit to this account. The actually owe us money. Please respond.

Complaint: I am writing regarding the case CFPB and XXXX with Honda to Address Discriminatory Auto Loan Pricing. According to settlement Honda took advantages of people. As it turns out as a XXXX, and reviewing my loan, terms, as well as interest, I believe I did not received a fair shot or assessment. I purchased XXXX vehicles from Honda. XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, and a second in XX/XX/XXXX. As I thought that I received a fair deal, even with a great credit score, the loan payments and interest were very high. It saddens me to see this, as in my family we have own Honda since XX/XX/XXXX. However, in comparing the market and average interest rates as well as payment from fellow Honda customers, I believe my wife and I were either discriminated or taken advantage of. This is very unfair, and I am seeking assistance.

Complaint: Recently I was involved in an auto accident ; a young driver attempted to cross a highway and caused an unavoidable collision. I was not at fault for this accident ; the other drive received a citation. My car was totaled, and along with the several cuts, bruises and shock, I also received a concussion. This concussion has made me quite foggy at times, slow to comprehend and process conversations, and has made it difficult to make decisions. I was out of work for a week and now have gone back with " light duty '' directions from my doctor.
While trying to recover physically and emotionally from this accident I was forced to acquire another vehicle. After several days of online searches and in-person visits, I decided to purchase a 2013 Honda XXXX. I have always been a great fan and proponent of Honda cars, and I have almost always driven them.
I was very glad to once again have a well-made, well-designed, reliable car and be able to put the auto shopping experience behind me. I could then re-focus my time and energy towards my XXXX recovery from the accident.
Unfortunately, while in this concussion-recovery period, an extended warranty for {$2500.00} was erroneously purchased and included in my Honda financing. By the time I was introduced to the dealer 's finance staff that day, I was quite exhausted ; I had already been at the dealership for several hours. I certainly appreciated the 2.9 % APR but really was not making good decisions at that point. Within a few days I recognized the error and contacted the finance staff to rectify the situation and cancel the extended warranty.
I was informed that the warranty could be cancelled but would not reduce my monthly payment or be taken off the balance due in the purchase agreement. The {$2500.00} XXXX would be subtracted at the end of my payment period. This would mean that my payments would end approximately ten months earlier at four years and two months, instead of the initial plan of five years of payments.
I found this to be quite an irregular policy as I would then be paying interest and tax on an item I have no longer purchased ; an item I do not own!
I do not want to pay tax and interest on an item that I do not own.
If I return an item at the hardware store they would logically return the price of the item and the tax. If I did not purchase an item on a credit card, the credit card company would logically not charge me interest.
Why am I being charged for an item I do not own?
I am hoping that you may understand my perspective and logic, and be able to offer a solution.

Complaint: I had a account with Honda Financial that was paid off in XXXX of this year. Apparently there were additional amounts owed on the loan from previous late fees. My automatic payment went out for the last payment and cleared. By the time that I was able to cover the extra $ XXXX in old late fees my payment posted 3 days over the 30 day limit. They reported TWO 30 day lates that are showing on my credit and it has made it impossible to close escrow on the house that we have in escrow to buy.
This effected our XXXX by 60+ points and is totally unfair! They have refused to do anything about this and I am hoping that you can help.

Complaint: During the sales process of a new lease at XXXX Acura in XXXX, MA, the car I test drove is not the car I leased & the differences and details were not disclosed to me. The lease terms were fine, but the vehicle I thought I was leasing is not what I received. Additionally, the remote start feature did not work as disclosed during the sales process, which were also explained wrong during the vehicle walk through. I 've tried to resolve directly with the General Manager at the dealer. The options were I could pay more money, or keep what I have. I was n't willing to take it off the lot the day of pickup, but I was told I had to because it was registered to me.

Complaint: they called with robo calls several times a day I did talk to a XXXX and told her ai would pay when I got paid but to stop the calls. The two days before i was to be paid they changed my pay date and tried endlessly to call and was on hold forever till my break of a half hour was over this happed more than one then the calls started endlessly again even after i told XXXX who called to stop calling me if they had an issue to write and invoked the FDCPA and still the calls came. i have 17 calls i have kept and the one telling XXXX to stop they said they wrote me and i never head back why because they had the wrong address for me and i never recevied any letter yet their bills come i wrote the pres and told hiim if he send me a late charge I wold report the calls after my letter to him specifically saying do not call and have that call recorded as well. They then sent me another letter to the wrong address which by some miracle i got pointed out thaqt the bills are correct the lease is correct yet they sent me a letter to the wrong address. i did not want to file this but felt i should never pay a late charge due to the harrrassment ai suffered. They send me a bill with a late charge and now I want my $ XXXX per violation. I will never pay the late fee since they are paid within th3 30 days and feel they should have stopped the calls when I told them to and they continue to send me bills with late fees well they can now just see what happens and I will never pay the late fee ever and they can eat it and learn from this that calling non stop is unacceptable when told to stop Had they treated me with the respect of stopping the calls then i would pay the fee but now somr they viiolated FDCPA they can just waive it for the term of the lease I will never buy a Honda iff this is how they treat their customers writing to wrong addresses and robo calls do n't wotk.

Complaint: Honda Financials for a leased vehicle confirmed that a payoff payment was received form a 3rd party and that they have validated and processed the payoff. They send me the payoff confirmation, lien release and title. I proceeded to hand over the vehicle to the buyer.
Honda now tells me that payment was not realized and has opened my account back up again. the buyer has since disappeared and sold the car to a Honda dealer, who is now listing the car for a sale Honda takes NO Ownership and can not explain why they released title without confirming funds were received. I have no way to recover the money nor fight honda in court. the bill i have to pay exceed {$24000.00} How can a financial institution release title without confirming funds. Also they never reached out to me letting me know to hold the car back!

On XX/XX/2016 the propriety tax was posted for both vehicles I paid both with the monthly lease payment XXXX did not recognize that and kept billing me for late fee and the payment I have already paid until XX/XX/2016 where I have paid four Paine to for each vehicles. I have been paying on time even I have paying the fee which are ases to me wrongly. I kept calling them and the ask me to pay and they informed me they have reported me to the credit bureau then when I check my credit score it dropped from 850 to 660. I call Honda finance on XX/XX/2016 XX/XX/2016 XX/XX/2016, XX/XX/2016, XX/XX/2016 and XX/XX/2016. They kept saying some one will call you they never did.

Complaint: Since I changed my phone number, I have recieved non-stop calls from " Honda Financial Services, '' despite repeated, repeated ( no less than 6 times ) attempts to tell them that I am not the person that owned the debt. After trying to communicate to them multiple times that they have the wrong number, I attempted to discourage their calls by ignoring them, hoping that they might think this number is defunct. I have 38 calls from them in the last month and a half. Please get them to stop.

Complaint: I have set up my account with Honda Financial Services for autopay for several months now. Somehow autopay discontinued the day of an XXXX/XXXX/2016 payment date and I did not get any notifications or letters that payment was pending or that autopay was canceled. I was then charged a {$20.00} late fee and I received no notificarions of non-payment. Then they finally mailed a letter to me dated XXXX/XXXX/2016 that my account is not in good standing. They reported me negatively on my credit score on XXXX/XXXX/2016 - it dropped by XXXX. I was given no real chance to know or resolve the issue. I received the letter they sent on XXXX/XXXX/2016 on XXXX/XXXX/2016 due to the holiday. I did not even know my account was in bad standing until I checked my credit score on XXXX/XXXX/2016. I immediately logged in and paid the full amount due. I called Honda Financial Services on XXXX/XXXX/2016 to ask what happened to my autopay and to let them know I was n't notified of anything. The representative told me that by law they do not have to notify me of anything and are not obligated to let me know. This is ridiculous and very upsetting that I trusted their autopay system and for almost a year had no issues with it and for something to like this to happen, for which I did not do, and for them to not give me any courtesy emails or mail or phone calls until I was knocked XXXX down on my XXXX score. The representative also told me it is not their problem it is mine. I feel very cheated and believe this is a great injustice as it hurts me a lot, for something I did not do wrong and for trusting their system.
