Complaint: XXXX assured me that I have 10 days grace period from the XXXX to provide a payment or Honda Finance will have to start paperwork to remove vehicle. XXXX then informed me that he will be sending out paperwork to this agreement. XXXX also explained the payoff for the vehicle is {$9300.00} and at the {$200.00} dollars a month for 3 in years. I received the agreement in the mail approximately 5 days later.
On XXXX XXXX, XXXX around XXXX I received a knock at the door stating that they were at my home to repossess my XXXX Honda XXXX. I told the male that they have picked up the wrong car because I have an agreement that states my payment is not due until XXXX XXXX, XXXX. The man looked over the agreement and said something is not right. He also had a lady with him that was very rude and nasty saying just get what you can out the car we are taking it now. My daughter items were in the car for her work as a cosmetologist and " personal paperwork '' for individuals I needed for employment while being rushed. The XXXX XXXX asked my neighbors to remove their car in order to retrieve the Honda XXXX this is embarrassing when I have paperwork that the car should have never been removed.

Complaint: On XXXX/XXXX/2016, My husband and I called XXXX XXXX to make a payment to Honda financial ( because they refused to take a payment directly from me ). XXXX XXXX confirmed the code and company I asked them to send it to as Honda financial code CA and proceeded to send my payment to XXXX instead of XXXX. Now XXXX has a repo out on my lease for being ONE payment behind ( which is ridiculous ) and XXXX XXXX will take no accountability for THEIR error. I called XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX and each time all they say is the funds never came back and there is nothing they can do ... Honda does n't care and said there is nothing THEY can do and said they are going to take my car. IN order to make this payment i had to max out my credit card so its not like i can just pull money out of thin air to cushion their a mistake that was beyond my control. This whole situation is beyond asinine! it blows my mind that XXXX can XXXX less about their consumers when they pay THOUSANDS of dollars for a product. Further more it sickens me to think XXXX XXXX can get away with causing my car to be repossessed thanks to them dragging their feet and doing NOTHING to rectify this situation. All the calls are recorded so there is NO EXCUSE for it taking an entire week to resolve an issue that they created. It also is beyond inexcusable that Honda cant do a thing to put my account on a freeze or something until XXXX XXXX resolves this. I am beyond disgusted that my life can be ruined by XXXX TERRIBLE companies that do n't XXXX about the consumers they service. Not to mention Honda claims to have sent me a repossession letter months ago and I just found out about it on XXXX/XXXX/2016. they said a letter was sent months ago and have failed to provide the signature on the alleged certified letter. I think this Is because they did n't send one because no one in my household singed for anything like that. I think what they are doing is illegal and wrong so that they can scam me for more money at this point. I also want to note that if they had changed my payment due date 2 years ago as requested on several occasions, I never would have been behind on my payments as I was unexpectedly laid off and advised them I needed the date moved to compensate. I 've never worked with such an incompetent group of corporations in my life and if that is the way they want to do business, I am SHOCKED that they are still in business.

Complaint: My complaint is in regards to Honda finance as well as XXXX XXXX. First of all I was laid off XXXX XXXX and I called from day 1 for assistance while I sorted out how I will be able to survive on less pay. Honda was unwilling to do anything. They also were suppose to change my payment date from the day I got thr car and never did and the recorded phone calls fell through the cracks so I 've been paying late fees on top of it all for months when if they had did their job I would n't have had late fees. Then now since XXXX I 've been behind XXXX payment due to being unemployed, however once I received unemployed I 've been making payments that are more than my minimum but all I could afford and after 6 'moths of doing so with no issue I find they put a repo on my car yet they refuse to take a payment other than through XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX confirmed our payment to Honda yet sent it to another company anyway and after a week still have yet to even attempt to resolve this issue or take accountability for THEIR error. They were suppose to fix the issue on XXXX, we have called several times and they still have n't resolved it and my car is in the process of reposition still and neither company will take accountability for the lost payment which I have confirmation of making despite XXXX XXXX not doing their job correctly. Now Honda will not stop the repossession of my car in the meantime over ONE PAYMENT LATE. So now my money is gone and I have no way to make another {$380.00} payment and my car can be taken from me at any time. Further more Honda gave me NO WARNING. They claim to have sent me a notice for the repo months ago that I never received and they refuse to find the certification letter to see who signed for it because no one in my household or that I know signed for the letter and I do n't believe they even sent it. I feel like I 'm being taken for a ride for trying to do the right thing and I do n't want anyone to have to go though this, especially when it 's hard enough to survive when your unemployed. Not to mention I can loose everything I have all over again like my new job because they would rather take my car over being 30 days on XXXX payment that they have proof I attempted to make. Either way I never want to even look at a Honda again after being treated so poorly. Never in my life have I had a car company treat me this way especially when I 've been in constant contact and they were fully aware of my lay off as I called them before my family even knew that I was unemployed and still made payments higher than my minimum due with no issues for months to try to resolve this matter.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, XXXX my car was repossessed at XXXX. I commute from XXXX to XXXX daily, and subsequently had to take off work. My work computer and room keys were in my vehicle. I was told the vehicle was being taken XXXX hours away. The XXXX repossession specialists charged me XXXX dollars cash to get my items from the vehicle. I was exactly 60 days late on a partial payment. My car note was XXXX dollars a month with a 22 % interest rate. The car was purchased XXXX XXXX, XXXX.At the time of the loan, I had a credit score of XXXX. I believe that Honda Financial/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX discriminated against me as an XXXX woman and charged me excessive interest, and also ran my credit numerous times, which actually lowered my credit score. The dealership was attempting to get a loan that was thousands above the car value and was refused by several banks. I was told that my " low '' score was the reason the interest rate was so high, and that I could refinance when my credit score went up again. I was not aware of the large negative equity until after the vehicle purchase when the credit denial letters came in the mail. I was not able to refinance the vehicle because of this negative equity situation. Now, Honda Financial is reporting a repossession on my credit, and the past due balance as XXXX dollars, which is two payments ... when the car was repossessed for a past due amount equal to one payment and a little less than half of a payment ( XXXX dollars ). I paid them thousands of dollars for over a year. I received a letter on XXXX XXXX XXXX dated XXXX XXXX, XXXX stating their intent to sale the vehicle in a private sale and seek the remainder of costs which currently equal XXXX more than the value of the car. I am also a military spouse. This is my third XXXX ; but the first purchased in XXXX. I believe Honda Financial has a history of discrimination, and dealer markups directed at minority consumers in this area. I am also certain that the repossession was also discriminatory. I believe the Department of Justice abd the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, along with other regulatory agencies should investigate the pattern of Honda Financial Repossessions and predatory lending practices. After, I told XXXX in the recovery department about the completly unprofessional manner in which my car had been repossessed, and my belief that I was discriminated against ; he asked that I fax proof of insurance/pay stub. I did this, but heard nothing for weeks. On XXXX XXXX I received a phone message stating that they were making a last attempt to return the car to me??? Still ... nothing in writing besides the letter about the private sale and a notification of 60 days to collect any of my possessions from the vehicle. There were multiple layers of problems with Honda Financial/XXXX XXXX from the sales tactics/pressure, to the taking out the loan, to the repossession.

Complaint: I have sent Honda financial services several certified letters. First letter was not signed for and usps stated " business closed ''. I called AHF and representative gave me another address. Sent certified letter there and have signature dated XX/XX/2016. After 30 days AHF did not mark my credit reports as being disputed as required by the FCRA. I have sent a third certified letter on XX/XX/2016 to same address as second letter but it is now also being returned as " business closed ''. AHF is in violation of the FCRA and i want the accounts removed from all of my credit bureaus as required by law

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I received a lease-end statement from Honda requesting payment within 25 days for {$550.00} for " Excess Wear and Use or Damage ''. I hereby dispute the charges as I have not been given full explanations of how they were estimated, the criteria used to waive certain charges, and I would like to ask clarifications as to what Honda considers excess wear and tear since it is not specified explicitly explained in the contract ( except for the tires ).
After my first attempt of obtaining clarification from Honda Financial, I received a copy of the inspection report by mail, detailing the damage that was considered by the inspector to be excessive, and the estimated total cost to be {$950.00}. The excess wear and tear value in this report is higher than the {$550.00} being billed to me, but there is no explanation of what charges were waived and what charges were not and why. Presumably, Honda decided to waive the lowest cost repairs and to charge me the highest cost ones. Since the contract contains no provision of which charges get waived under the waiver provision, this should be interpreted in favor of the consumer and not of Honda. Similarly, the contract does not have an explanation of when certain types of damages are excess and when they 're considered normal. For instance, from the report I read that the left front bumper cover has a scratch of XXXX to XXXX inches, but no explanation of why this is excess, as bumper scratches are extremely normal in a car that is authorized to be used in abdense urban setting for XXXX miles.
Likewise, I would like to request a correction of how my previous payments were applied. My XX/XX/<YYYY> statement had an amount due of {$110.00}, but I made a payment of {$250.00} and I request the difference to be refunded. Also, I returned my vehicle on XX/XX/XXXX and leased a new Honda vehicle, but paid the full month of my lease, until XX/XX/XXXX. I request the pro-rated unused days to be refunded.
I sent this dispute to Honda by certified mail and it was received on XX/XX/XXXX. Their only response so far as of today was to call me and offer to lower the amount due to {$350.00}, which is still higher than what I consider I should pay, but I have not received a response, verbal or written, regarding my questions or my dispute.

Complaint: I filed a complaint with AHFC due to late notices posted to my account that were no valid. I sent them a formal dispute on XXXX XXXX, 2016 which they received on XXXX XXXX 2016. On XXXX XXXX, 2016, since I had not heard from them, I sent them a second letter telling them that they did not mark my file as disputed or responded to my previously letter that they now need to remove the late notices on my account. They received the letter on XXXX XXXX, 2016. On XXXX XXXX, 2016, I received THREE letters from AHFC. 1. telling me again that my payment was late and I needed to pay immediately to get my account up to date, 2. A letter telling me my request to remove derogatory marks from the credit bureaus was denied and 3. Telling me my car loan was paid in full and attached to that letter was the TITLE for my car. So, please tell me this company reports information accurately and timely. If you would like all of this documented evidence, I am happy to send it to you, but it 's all pretty thick. I appreciate your help in ending this as it 's not fair and AHFC had not followed the law in marking my file 1. in dispute and 2. responding in a timely manner. This type of reporting is for a reason, and when at fault, I am happy to take my due punishment. However, this reporting is not accurate and AHFC has done nothing according to the law to correct this error or follow the law in investigating, marking the file as in dispute and NOT continuing to write derogatory marks on my file as payback for fighting them on this. Please help!

Complaint: I am writing on behalf of my XXXX year old deceased father, XXXX XXXX in regards to leasing a vehicle from XXXX Honda in XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. He went to the dealership alone at which time the dealership charged him {$1500.00} even though he was turning in his XXXX Honda and leasing a XXXX Honda Civic ( which I never heard of any dealership doing ). He passed on XX/XX/XXXX at which time we attempted to return the vehicle ( which is in perfect condition and only has XXXX miles since he became ill in XX/XX/XXXX ). I called the dealership, explained the circumstances and was instructed to bring the vehicle back. The first salesman we spoke to stated that the dealership would take the vehicle back " no questions asked '' under the circumstances. He contacted Honda Financial at which time they stated they would not take the vehicle back unless monies was paid to them for the return. The choices that the gave were either 1 ) buy the vehicle out or 2 ) pay an additional {$3500.00} and give up the vehicle. I believe they took advantage of a XXXX year old ( at the time of the lease ) man and are continuing to take advantage of him even after his passing. We returned to the dealership after learning the name of the salesman the following day who also stated the dealership would take the vehicle " no questions asked '' under the circumstances. After four ( 4 ) hours of dealing with the salesman, manager and Honda Financial Department, the car was again brought back to my father 's residence which is now sitting in the driveway. We would like the dealership to take the vehicle back as they stated they would.

Complaint: I leased a XXXX Honda Odyssey from Honda Financial Services. I have sent them a promissory note for ocer of {$43000.00}. Now the company says they habe no record of my note and has not credited my account. I have had to result to pay with federal reserve notes instead. I am asking that since my promissory note was not returned within the alloted amount of time that my account be credited if the promissory note was was deposited and the debt should be dischsrged if the note is not accepted.
