Unable to receive car title or other problem after the loan is paid off
Complaint: Acura Financial Services has never honored the original contract : it was an interest free loan yet mid-way into the contract I was charged interest ; I was told the additional coverage I purchased would extend the warranty to 130,000 miles to ensure I received the full 100,00-mile warranty, as the vehicle had 30,000 miles on it at purchase. XXXX XXXX at 100,000 miles forcing me to take a refund for my coverage in paid services on the vehicle at Acura. Acura found enough in repairs to ensure I received none of the refund in cash.
I have fulfilled my contractual responsibility to Acura financial services as it pertains to my XXXX XXXX XXXX, but I have yet to receive the owners registration ; Acura has continued to hold my pink slip XXXX, while illegally access the vehicles computer system manipulating and interfering with the vehicles performance by generating error code ( ALL CODES DIRECT YOU THE ACURA DEALERSHIP ) and added additional fees at the end of the contract, in an effort to extort additional monies ; this is extremely egregious and despicable behavior on the part of the lender.
I experienced a major reduction in income when my medical status changed in 2013 to XXXX, with a diagnosis of XXXX XXXX. Because of the reduction in income I incurred late payments ; even with my repeated explanations of my medical status and irregular XXXX disbursements to Acura representatives, Acura still actively embarked on a despicable and unlawful campaign of harassment and bulling via the manipulation of the computer system in my XXXX XXXX XXXX.
Acura persisted in a hostile position of aggressively manipulating the computer system on my XXXX XXXX with error messages, disruptions in the performance of the XXXX vehicle, disruptions in the functions of the various systems on the vehicle and harassment of friends, family, neighbors and myself with repeated activations of the loud security system during the very early hours in the morning and late night. This egregious, instructive behavior on the part of the Acura corp. under XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is complicit in manipulating the vehicles computer system, diminishing and/or damaging the vehicles performance, forcing unnecessary and burdensome repairs which generated revenue for the corporation and created a financial burden for this owner. Their action damage the battery, forcing the purchase of 4 batteries and resulting damage so extensive to the transmission I was forced to pay over 5,000.00 in repairs.
I have written letters and contacted the company via telephone in an effort to have them compensate me for the losses I incurred as a result of their unlawful behavior and the immediate release of the title to my car as I have fulfilled my contractual responsibility to them.

Complaint: XXXX - I financed XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX via American Honda Finance, ( 72 month lease 15 % APR ). My credit score at the time was between XXXX. I traded in XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX. XXXX - CFPB ordered American Honda Finance to pay XXXX XXXX dollars to borrowers discriminatory lending practices. I contacted the CFPB hotline to inquire, and was advised further information would be available in the coming months. XXXX - I was contacted by XXXX XXXX XXXX about refinancing my vehicle and/or trading in new vehicle. When I arrived after review from finance team, I was told I did not qualify for refinancing. I then provided the agent a copy of the CFPB consent order. The agent went to his colleague, came back and acknowledged the consent order, and was advised that if my monthly payments can be dropped from XXXX to XXXX after 3 consecutive months of on time payments. XXXX - CFPB posted article outlining steps to follow to participate in the settlement ( link : https : //www.consumerfinance.gov/XXXX ). I sent info to the administrator, but received a response letter stating that I was not affected customer of the settlement. Even though the XXXX interaction seemed to acknowledge that I was an affected customer in the settlement. XXXX - Received an notification of default letter via non-certified mail for the full balance of the loan. I made previous attempts on bringing my account current, but their threatening nature about the status of the loan had me very apprehensive about contacting them up to this time.

Complaint: I took a lease through American Honda Finance. Account #: XXXX. The lease was paid in full, and the vehicle was returned. I leased another vehicle through Honda immediately. I subsequently received an invoice for a turn-in fee, which they charge when you do not lease another Honda. I called them immediately and told them that I had leased a new vehicle. They asked for me to send a copy of the new lease. The finance guy at XXXX XXXX was helpful, and faxed it to AHF immediately. I received another notice a few weeks after that stating that the turn-in fee was due. I called again - there were a number of calls back and forth. The finance manager at XXXX XXXX sent the fax another two times, and I called AHF to let them know. I then received a notice about a month later stating that the amount is overdue. I called them got the name of the case manager in charge of my account, and had my Finance guy email them a copy of the lease. He cc'd me on the email. The first fax was on XX/XX/XXXX, and the last email he sent was on XX/XX/XXXX. They said that as soon as the paperwork was processed, they would remove the turn-in fee as it is not due if I lease another vehicle. In the interim, I was making many calls to American Honda Finance, Honda, and speaking to many people to resolve this and was assured that if I had leased a new vehicle it would be removed from my account. I finally reached someone on XX/XX/XXXX, who I insisted wait on the phone until he could confirm he could see the email. He acknowledged the email and said that the turn-in fee would be removed (this was erroneously charged, and should never have been put on my account int he first pace). American Honda Finance reported to the credit reporting agencies that my account was delinquent around the XX/XX/XXXX, causing my credit score to drop almost 100 points. I request that American Honda Finance contact the credit reporting agencies to state that it was reported in error. There is no reason I should have to suffer from their errors in charges, and record-keeping, and I believe their operation is negligent and suspicious in their charges. Everyone at American Honda Finance has been insufferably rude and determined to be unhelpful, so I have not had any help from them. Nor Have I had any help from Honda.

Loan balance remaining after the vehicle is repossessed and sold
Complaint: Vehicle was repossessed in XXXX of 2016. I paid all fees and totaling over {$3000.00} and received vehicle back. In XXXX of 2016 arrangements were made with company to settle remaining loan terms. Company accepted payment and still reposses vehicle after arrangements were made. After repossession occurred company stated that vehicle could not be received back to due Georgia laws stating that a vehicle could not be repossessed and retrieved back twice in a twelve month period. The vehicles loan title and tags originated and were current in the state of Maryland. Company never sent information regarding date of sale, amount owed or the whereabouts of vehicle as promised. Company is now trying to collect on vehicle loan amount after auction. I was never given the opportunity to purchase vehicle back after paying on car on time for over three years.

Complaint: Near the end of my lease at XXXX XXXX of XXXX, I went into Honda to see how much it would cost me to finish off my lease. At the time they told me that I would need to get an inspection. I took it to XXXX XXXX XXXX to get my end of lease inspection. Upon the inspection I was asked by XXXX XXXX of Honda if I wanted to " sell my car to XXXX XXXX XXXX to avoid any other fees ''. I said yes and was told that with my signature, the car and any leftover payments were no longer my responsibility. At that time, I asked about the turn-in fee that they are now trying to hold me for. I was told by XXXX XXXX XXXX that " you will not be charged this fee, because you did not turn in the car, It was sold to Honda. '' I then checked my account a few weeks later and saw that I was being charged the XXXX fee that I was told I would not be charged. I called XXXX and he said " do n't pay it and have them call me '' Which I did. After days of phone tag I was told that they were mistaken and that I owed the fee. If I had known this I would have paid it immediately as I had the money at the time. Now, I do not and feel like I am being given the runaround and being taken advantage of. I have since sent several letters about this matter that have been completely ignored by American Honda Finance. I have also been told in a letter that my account has been charged off and will be sent to a collection agency.

Complaint: I have a loan with Honda Financial Services. I set up and auto-pay online. I assumed all was well until I received notification that my account was delinquent. They never emailed me on this matter even thought they do have my email address. They said they called but never reached me. The moment I found out about this I rectified the issue. Now my credit report shows a 30 day delinquency even thought their website failed to process my auto-pay. I have a 30 year credit history with no delinquencies. I would like this resolved due to the error on their side and their lack of contacting me to give me a chance to resolve the problem prior to going to the credit bureaus.
