Complaint: American Honda Finance is wrongfully reporting negative information on my credit report. Last month I went to apply for a loan with my bank but was declined the loan. I was advised that due to being late on my car payment that the loan couldn't be processed. I decided to pull a copy of my credit report to see what was reporting from Honda. Not only was it upsetting to see that Honda was reporting incorrect information, I also noticed that my credit score lowered due to the reporting by 40 points. I contacted Honda to inform of the reported late payments and was advised that no payments were reported late.
I requested a payment history review and was advised that two of my payments dated XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX were paid towards late fee 's and not the payment due. Honda has reversed the payments but still reported that I was 30 days late each time. I am attaching the loan payment history for the moths in question along with a copy of the current credit reporting from Honda.

Complaint: I have an automobile loan with Honda Financial Services. I will admit I'm a slow pay ; however, I have never been 30+ days late. However, once the grace period ends, Honda Financial Services collectors call on an average of 3 - 5 times a day. I have asked them every time that they call to please stop calling me so many times a day that it is bordering on harassment and that I would report them to the appropriate authorities.
Their response to me was go ahead. We don't care. The regulators do nothing and won't do anything.

Complaint: American Honda XXXX Date open XX/XX/XXXX to date of last payment XX/XX/XXXX they are not reporting any of my on time payments for this period. In fact the only thing being reported in the five year period is 30 days late which is incorrect and unverified.
I have asked the creditor to provide physical proof and verification of the payment history on numerous occasions and they have failed to verify this information but continue to report it inconstantly to the credit bureaus. It obliviously cant be correct and verified when it is not being reported the same.
These errors are negatively affecting my credit score, my ability to obtain credit, and my reputation.
American Honda has had more than enough time to correct or delete this information. According to the FCRA they continue and knowingly are in violation and can be held accountable for actual and punitive damages.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018, I visited XXXX XXXX to purchase a new XXXX XXXX 2018. For the financing portion of the sales process, we met with XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX. He offered to bundle {$7100.00} of optional services into our auto loan.
1. {$3900.00} Service Contract + Prepaid Maintenance program.
2. {$1400.00} Club Plus - tire & wheels.
3. {$870.00} Zaktek Ultimate.
4. {$850.00} Gap insurance.
Written terms for these services were unavailable. Instead, he explained that the information will be mailed to our home within a couple of months after the sale. Afterwards, if we wished to cancel any of these optional services, we should notify the dealership and the services will be terminated and a full refund processed. We proceeded to close the sale with XXXX and these optional services were bundled.
On XX/XX/2018, four months after the sale, we still have not received any information in the mail nor email. Below is a list of our failed attempts to communicate directly with the dealership.

Complaint: Upon reviewing my credit report I was surprised and shocked when I saw a late payment! I don't have any idea how this could have happened. The report doesn't even show a date so I don't even know when this supposedly happened. I always make my payments when I receive the statements. The statement must not have gotten to me somehow.

Problem with the interest rate
Complaint: My complaint relates to interest and excessive late fees.
On the interest rate issue, the contract my wife and I signed on XX/XX/XXXX stipulated that the total payments ( interest and principal ) will be {$33000.00} ( XXXX * XXXX ). See attached copies of the contract. For the last payment, Honda made us pay {$600.00} ( see the attached Finance Account Overview ). Instead of paying a total of {$33000.00} as stipulated in the contract, we ended up paying {$33000.00}.
I called Honda on XX/XX/XXXX to inquire why {$600.00} and not the {$560.00} we have been paying since XX/XX/XXXX. The Honda representative I spoke with stated that it had to do with interest. What interest? She gave a convoluted answer. When I requested to speak with a supervisor, she declined.
On the excessive late fees, I have written to Honda executives ( here in the US and XXXX ) to waive the fees. All my correspondences and request fell on deaf ears.

Complaint: I purchased the car in XX/XX/2016. at the time of purchase we agreed on my trade in plus $ XXXX.the finance guys over financed {$1500.00} in my loan. I have over looked the docs. Now when I review the original docs and notice the error.

Complaint: American honda finance is reporting wrong information to all three credit reporting bureau 's. Honda financial is reporting a balance of {$2400.00} on the account. It is showing the original charge off amount is {$5300.00}. The last payment honda received was {$200.00}. If the amount of the charge off is XXXX and the balance is now XXXX the last payment should be more. It is also showing on the credit report the last payment was received in XX/XX/2014. On the credit report It shows no data for the payment history of XXXX and XX/XX/2014. This whole tradeline is showing incorrect information that does not add up.

Complaint: I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2018 to purchase a new vehicle. I was connected to their one of their sales reps, XXXX, who showed me around and was very kind. I was very clear with her and everyone I encountered that I had recently retired from the XXXX.
After choosing the vehicle I liked, I negotiated with the manager, XXXX, who I also told about my military status. We agreed on the pricing and away I went to sign all the documents. I was sent to the finance rep, XXXX, to finish off the deal. I told him I recently retired from the XXXX and on my reqest for credit paperwork, it says what I currently do and my military status.
I signed everything, financed some of the vehicle with Honda Financial ( their in-house lender ), and left to go have dinner. When I got home, I pulled out the paperwork to review it and make sure everything was good to go. Well, everything was not okay. I found a {$490.00} error XXXX made so I immediately called him to tell him. He denied the mistake and told me everything was right. It wasnt until I told him my wife and I both have MBAs that he started to really look at the numbers and then said oh yes, there is a mistake, but just come in and I can fix it.
So i go in the next day at XXXX in the morning to meet the director of finance for our meeting and of course, he can not meet with me for whatever reason. I was taken care of by another finance rep who was nice and saw the error immediately. Resigned the paperwork and off I go. About a week or so later, Honda Financial sends me an e-mail with instructions to set up my account.
As I looked around their website, I found a special deal for Active and Retired Military that provides a {$500.00} discount which NOBODY at the dealership mentioned. I called Honda Financial and they gave me the go around saying they can not apply this discount to the loan. I called Honda and they told me I had signed a contract and that there is nothing they can do. I called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, where I purchased the vehicle and they said nothing could be done since they were already paid for the vehicle and they really dont care what happens afterwards.
This is the reason I am filing this complaint- seems like they dont care about Military personne and are providing advertisements to lure people in but in the end, they dont deliver. I want this resolved.

Problem during payment process
Complaint: I have a loan with AMERICAN HONDA FINANCE. I have always made my payments on time. For some reason I realized that there was a late payment on my credit report. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record with this company. I tried contacting both XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and AMERICAN HONDA FINANCE with no successful resolution.
