Complaint: The reason for my writing is that Honda financial services are being unreasonable. I had XXXX on XXXX XX/XX/2018. This XXXX incapacitated me for a whole month while recovering back to my normal state. As a result, I fell behind on that month, monthly payment. I took the liberty to write to Honda on XXXX XXXX explaining to them what had happened, in regards to this medical condition. They requested that I send them proof of my Hospitalization which I did attach the medical certificate as proof of the sickness and my bank statements which showed I had enough money on my accounts to make the payment were it not for the medical condition. But to my surprise, Honda financial services refused to delete the late payment history of the time I was down due to the medical condition which was 100 % not my intention to be late. I have always had a good reputation with this company. I have Attached the letter I sent to Honda financial services.

Complaint: Good day : I am behind on my car payments with Honda Financial Services. I made attempts to resolve this issue by coming up with a repayment plan.
1 ) Honda did a hard inquiery on my credit report without my knowledge or consent.
2 ) I have been receiving phone calls from a woman named " Investigator XXXX '' ( XXXX ) XXXX. The person has been calling non stop, on my cell as well as at work and also texting me. I am not allowed to receive personal calls at work as I work for a private college. " Investigator XXXX '' has been very " threatening '' me. I spoke to an attorney, XXXX XXXX, who tried to located her in order to send her a " Cease and Desist '' letter but was unable to locate her address.
3 ) A woman named XXXX from Honda called MY secretary at work, on her personal cell phone asking her to have me call her. First, I have no idea how she got a hold of my secretary personal cell number, but second it is absolutely unnaceptable. ( XXXX XXXX ).
4 ) The repo company, to which I have no idea who they are, and my attorney tried to locate them, again, to no avail, has been calling me non stop at work as well.
I have never been so harrassed by a debt collector in my life. I am terrified by the calls - and I asked many times to NOT call me at work.
I want to resolve this issue but no in fear.
The fact that they called my secretary on her personal cell number is not ok.

Termination fees or other problem when ending the lease early
Complaint: Honda Financial Services ( HFS ) is using coercive tactics to obtain payment of a bill that is not accurate. HFS sent threatening letter to coerce collection funds for a leased vehicle that was appropriately turned in and terminated 5 months prior to distribution of a bill by HFS. HFS states information was not received to close account through the mail, which is false ( information was mailed ). HFS acknowledged in subsequent letters that lease was terminated but needed documentation of registration termination or license plates turn-in -- license plate turn-in documentation was provided. When contacted through customer service representative ( XXXX on XXXX XXXX ), information was provided that a pro rata share of bill would only need to be paid. Such payment was made on XXXX XXXX. Documentation of payment and all other documents supporting closing the lease account were emailed to HFS service region at XXXX. Instead of responding to requests in email to ensure account was terminated after pro-rata payment was made, HFS on XXXX XXXX sent coercive letter stating balance was required even though period of the bill included time period that the leased vehicle was appropriately terminated and turned in and accepted as a turn-in by Honda.

Complaint: On Monday, XX/XX/XXXX I visited two XXXX Dealerships ( Owned by Honda ) to lease a XXXX XXXX XXXX. First dealership is located off XXXX XXXX in XXXX, NJ and the second dealership was located in XXXX, NJ. I specifically inform the sales person that I already made my mind in selecting that specific model and the down payment would be {$3000.00}. Before running I reminded them i had a repossession back in XX/XX/XXXX with Honda which i completely paid off the deficiency after the auction sale of the car so this incident was basically settled and explained it was due to my poor budgeting and young at the time. The sales person advised me it shouldn't matter.
We continue to proceed with the transaction and once we negotiated the price they then told me they were going to run my credit report. Soon after, another guys shows up to inform me that Honda will NOT lease any car unless I have a co-applicant and told me it can not be an SUV. Not only was a hard inquiry placed on my credit report but my my frustration is, they KNEW I had a repossession because it was the first thing I disclose to them and second the repossession happen over 15years ago!!! The finance guy told me Honda will " Never '' allow me to lease with them because of the repo. My frustration was if this in fact was true and I did disclose this to them, why even bother running my credit when I told them from the very beginning I wanted to lease. It seems to me the did not care and regardless of a credit inquiry placed, they failed to disclose this information. I even asked to put a higher down payment and they told me no. Why put me through this aggravation if they knew they NEVER lease with this history. Secondly, I thought after 7 years they can not use any adverse reporting against you, which evidently they sure did. Please help.

Complaint: Lender : American Honda Financial Compliant : not applying additional principle payments properly Account # : XXXX.
Product:XX/XX/XXXX ACCORD.
XXXX : XXXX My normal payment are scheduled around the XXXX of the month for approx. {$540.00}, I pay {$650.00}. For this payment they apply the extra principle correctly.
But, around the first of the month I pay {$750.00} or more, payment from my XXXX XXXX bill pay. I notice for this payment they are applying interest to future payment that I will never have.
I asked them to correct the payment to principle only. On my request they would only correct the last six extra principle payments. They are stating because I didn't send principle payment to a different address they will not correct the extra principle payment for the whole term. The loan started in XX/XX/2017. I have requested with top managers at Honda Finance and they will not correct.
I understand math and incurred interest. I know the way they are taking interest out of my principle payment before applying to interest will generate additional interest they are not entitled too ... .I believe this is illegal. Whether I mail to one address or the other ... .additional payment needs to be applied correctly, even more so when the customer catches their error and demands it be corrected.

Complaint: We filed Bankruptcy XX/XX/2018 due to a large lawsuit against us. Prior to that we had very good FICO scores and we pay our debts on time NO Later payments. We reaffirm our loan with Honda Financial Services and now the account is completely missing from the credit report ; but we are still making payments and not getting the credit. I spoke to Honda Financial Services and said it is a new thing there doing for those who filed a BK. Is this legal not to report payment history?? When we have a loan with them?

Termination fees or other problem when ending the lease early
Complaint: When we made the final lease payment on a 2015 CRV with Honda Financial Services, they attempted to add on a {$350.00} " end of lease '' penalty/fee for not buying the car. There is a section ( see attached copy of agreement ) that mentions a fee, but there is a N/A next to it which we were told meant non/aplicable and it did not apply to our lease. We leased from XXXX XXXX ... which has gone out of business and is now owned by XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have sent two responses along with a copy of the lease with highlighted section showing the penalty/fee does not apply to us to both XXXX XXXX and Honda Financial Services.. They just ignore my correspondence, send us more bills and threaten to ruin our credit by reporting us as being delinquent to credit bureas.. We made 39 lease payments, all on time, and returned vehicle in perfect condition ( professionally detailed ) and with only XXXX of XXXX miles used. Tacking on an additional fee that does not applhy to us seems very close to fraud.

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX : I recently traded-in my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for a a brand new vechile, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX from Honda Financial in XXXX XXXX. Last week, I received a letter stating to contact my dealership to see if I qualify for GAP refund since I decided to cancel it. First, I contacted the sales person who helped me and she wasnt available to respond to my text after telling her the situation. Then so my fianc and I went to the dealership and was told that since we put {$0.00} down payment during the time of visit, the GAP refund ( {$2600.00} ) was used as part of the down payment. However, I was not aware that they transferred the GAP refund to my down payment. I just called the Honda Financial and spoke to the GM and I was told that thats what they usually do and theres nothing I can or they can do because I signed the contact. It was very clear to me that the reason why I am paying {$540.00} for the car that I got was because I did not put a down payment and purchased GAP and maintenance. However, it turns out I did put down, down payment through GAP refund. I think as a buyer, they should have informed me about this. According to the manager, they disclosed it to me but I was probably not paying attention.

Complaint: I recently moved to XXXX and began the process of registering and titling my XXXX XXXX XXXX in the district. When I updated my information with Honda, they informed me that I would be responsible for paying the vehicle tax on my monthly lease payments ( 10 %, about {$30.00} a month ) However, I already paid tax on my vehicle in XXXX, which was capitalized on to my total lease cost when I purchased the vehicle ( about {$900.00}. ) XXXX provides for an exemption from excise tax for rented or leased vehicles ( # 7 under list of exemptions, which I will attach to this complaint ), as well as for vehicles moving to XXXX previously titled or registered in another state ( # 9 on list. ) I called Honda and spoke to a representative, who told me I could claim a refund from XXXX. After being unable to find that information and consulting with others who moved from XXXX to XXXX, I called Honda back and requested they research it. The customer service representative told me I was unable to talk directly to the office that deals with tax amounts, but that she would relay my request. She called back the next week and told me that since XXXX does not provide reciprocity, I am basically out of luck.
Since I am covered on this list of XXXX exemptions, this is not correct. I am happy to pay the difference between the XXXX and the XXXX tax, or to receive a prorated refund of my XXXX tax, but I should not be responsible for continuing to pay sales and use tax in XXXX while my vehicle is titled, registered and garaged in XXXX.

Complaint: I am writing to let you know that on XX/XX/XXXX /, I bought in XXXX XXXX XXXX, this vehicle is identified with the VIN : XXXX. I made this purchase at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, FL XXXX Unfortunately, I have been having problems with the account due to the treatment given to the payments made and the way in which my account is managed by financial department.
I asked to them to proceed to eliminate the notifications of late payments of my credit report for the months of XXXX, XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX because I have kept making weekly payments and I have never stopped making them and they reported to credit boreau without consider my explanation and notification to the company.
You can see in the attached monthly report the status of my account. These notifications to the credit companies have negatively affected my credit scort in a significant way.
I want to express to you that I have never refused to make payments or answer the received calls and I have explained the notification in my account that in these months my mother in XXXX has been under medical treatment and this has affected my personal budget.
Attached copy of my account statement that checks the status of my account for today 's date. Additionally, I ask to them to extend the payment for the months of XXXX and XXXX and they refused to approve both month and I need to adjust my income to continue to cover my commitment of payments.

Problem with paying off the loan
Complaint: My automobile was in an accident and was considered a total loss. Subsequent to the accident I was told I had the financial that they had been in touch with the insurance company in full payment would be issued the Honda financial. Apparently the process took longer than initially thought and there were several payments not made on the automobile. I had since called Honda and paid all the funds that were due and they had promised that they would contact the credit bureaus and have my account marked as paid in full and paid satisfactorily on time.

I XXXX XXXX XXXX On XX/XX/2017 paid Honda Financial Services {$5800.00} in full for an ATV loan that I had through them. I received the clear Title in the Mail ( see copy attached ) Along with 2 Overpayment check ( see copy attached ) and they are reporting me as I defaulted on the loan which I was never late on it and the loan was paid in full and they are reporting to XXXX and XXXX negative on my account and I have the evidence that the account was paid with the clear title and overpayment checks for that account I sent XXXX and XXXX and Honda Financial Services a Dispute ( Notice of Validation Letter ) asking them to provide me with certain documentation to prove that I still owe them and XXXX and XXXX and Honda Financial Services failed to present me with said Documentation. XXXX and XXXX aren't doing there Job to investigate my Dispute.

I researched the number and there were many sites saying that this was a scam, that uses Honda financial services but has no affiliation with Honda at all. I called Honda themselves and they said they have no numbers in there system with the numbers I listed. Complaint: This company gave a very high interest rate when others with very similar credit profiles were given lower rates. The only explanation for this could be discrimination. Also, there are numerous reports of this company removing late payments on customer reports based on the fact that the customer did not receive statements. I moved during my loan and did not receive statements and have requested lates to be removed. I was discriminated against and provided no help.
