Since it is against the FCRA, 604. Permissible purposes of consumer reports [ 15 U.S.C. 1681b ] for an entity to view a consumers credit report without a permissible purpose. I am writing to inquire as to your alleged purpose for doing so since I did not apply for anything with your company. Theres no accounts tied to these inquiries on my credit profile.

Investigation took more than 30 days
Complaint: I mailed a letter asking for the company to validate, not verify the account they are reporting on my credit report. I mailed this letter on XX/XX/XXXX with cerified mail and return receipt. I never recieved my receipt, the post office claimed it could have fallen off in transit. They were able to get me the necessary documentation from the return receipt. I have a printed copy of the name and signature of the individual who signed for the letter. It was recieved on XX/XX/2019. The 30 day mark was on XX/XX/2019. I have not received a response from the company nor have I received any indication that they were working to validate this was truly my debt.

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXXWe recently contacted California Department of consumer affairs regarding a vehicle we bought in XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX through West lake financial we made about six payments and now on the vehicle and then later we found out the vehicles have alot of recalls more then 10 the dealership which did not disclose about the safety recalls that was on the vehicles so we did a voluntary repo in the which Westlake financial took possession of the vehicle and sent it to the Auto auction they sold the vehicle for Less then what it was worth and know we are being sued by Westlake financial for the remaining of the balance

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX the vehicle was totaled in a car accident. This was a no fault therefore the other vehicle insurance paid the value of the car and my lapse insurance paid the rest. I come to find out after that there were some additional fees that needed to be pay me $XXXX.On XX/XX/XXXX I received a settlement offer for $XXXX (attached is a copy with payment reference#) and that they will close and report the account with all 3 credit bureaus as settled. On XX/XX/XXXX I made the settlement payment of $XXXX and on XX/XX/XXXX I received the paid settlement letter as agreed (Copy attached) and that it will be showing on credit report settled for less than the full balance” with the Credit Reporting Agencies.Today XX/XX/XXXX the account on my credit report was updated as closed and charged off with last payment of $XXXX and a balance of $XXXX. This is not what was agreed and also caused my credit score to drop almost 30 points. This needs to be corrected ASAP as it will prevent me for getting future financing and more than likely the remaining balance will be sold to a collection agency that most likely with be put on my credit report and seek further payment. Not to mention that will continue to drop score. I'm requesting this to be corrected on my credit report within 3 business days after verification of this matter.

Complaint: Westlake Financial is reporting inaccurate information on my credit report. The vehicle has been paid off but they are showing a balance of {$5500.00}. Westlake repossessed my vehicle in XX/XX/2019. I spoke with them and made arrangements to recover the vehicle and made an agreement to settle the account for less than owed. As part of the vehicle being repossessed the tow company caused over $ 7k in damage. My deductible was {$2500.00}. I requested additional time to settle the payoff agreement with Westlake. They advised that they would work with me but I needed to make the second payment. I made the second payment towards the payoff. They repossessed the vehicle a second time and voided out the first agreement. They would not provide me with a copy of our settlement agreement. They then tripled the amount that was due on the settlement agreement. I had no choice but to accept the second agreement. The second settlement agreement has been paid off. Westlake is reporting the loan as having a balance of {$5500.00}. They are also reporting failed to pay every month after they charged the account off. This behavior is unacceptable and has been consistent with the way that they operate.

Problem with a trade-in
Complaint: I went to the XXXX XXXX dealership in XXXX, MI with the intent to purchase a new vehicle. I was already driving a XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was on time with my payments, and I was under the impression that I would be able to use my current vehicle as a trade in for a new car purchase.
Upon negotiating with the salespersons at the dealership, I was told that my vehicle would be used as a trade-in for the vehicle that I was purchasing.The new vehicle I was purchasing was a XXXX XXXX XXXX.I left my vehicle with the dealership to complete the trade-in process.
While I was closing on my car loan purchase, I was given some verbal information regarding the purchase, and I was told that the paperwork would be emailed to me within 24 hours of my new purchase. I drove away in my XXXX XXXX XXXX thinking that everything was fine.
A month went by and I received the title to the vehicle, but I noticed that the old vehicle still showed as not being paid by the dealer on my credit report. I contacted the dealer that I purchased my new vehicle from to inquire about this. The dealership stated that they would take care of my old loan payment because they were still trying to sell the car I used as a trade-in for the XXXX XXXX that I purchased from them.
The dealer never sold the car I used as a trade-in after 2 months I confronted the dealer about this, and they requested that I come in to sign off on some paperwork for my current car loan.
When I got there, the dealer stated that they were no longer willing to accept my vehicle as a trade-in for the vehicle that I purchased with them. They stated that they wanted me to take the car from their lot.
I am now stuck with 2 car notes and I can not afford to pay both of them. My credit score has dropped because I can not afford to maintain both car payments to both loan companies.

Complaint: ACTS : On XX/XX/2019 I approached the XXXX XXXX dealership located in the State of Utah with the intention of quoting the purchase of a vehicle, when checking my credit I find that the history records a negative report for a debt with Westlake Financial Services associated to account number XXXX, this information does not belong to me considering that I do not have or have had any commercial relationship with this financial entity.
TAKEN ACTIONS : 1. On XX/XX/2019 I sent email to XXXX, XXXX, XXXX emails which appear as a contact with Westlake Financial Services, exposing my situation and requesting a solution Of which I did not receive an answer, I again sent another email to the same recipients requesting attention to my requirement on XX/XX/2019 but to date I still do not receive any response or solution.
2. On XX/XX/2019 I contacted the Westlake Financial Services customer service line ( XXXX ) where I filed my complaint, they reviewed the customer database and informed me that my insurance number Social or my date of birth are not linked to an existing account, but they gave me no solution.
3. Settle a dispute before XXXX, who answered me on XX/XX/2019 according to report number XXXX, where they report " The company that reported the information has certified to XXXX that the information is accurate. This item was not changed as a result of our processing of your dispute. " 4. On XX/XX/2019 I repeatedly contacted the Westlake Financial Services customer service line ( XXXX ) where after so much insistence they provided me with another contact number ( XXXX ) where they could give me a solution, after commenting my case to several officials, they informed me that I should send a fax to the number XXXX and an email with the credit report showing the negative report of Westlake Financial Services at addresses XXXX and XXXX, after sending them they informed me that I should contact them later on XX/XX/2019 to confirm that they had received the fax and email.
5. On XX/XX/2019 I contacted the number XXXX where I should confirm that they had received the Fax and email, but after 2 calls of more than 10 minutes each I did not receive any information and they cut me off the call.
On my part I have tried to solve directly with Westakle Financial Services but I have not received the necessary attention and I also tried to solve it with XXXX but on the contrary they confirmed the negative report even though the debt is associated with a different social security and date of birth to mine.
I am currently suffering damages due to an erroneous report on my credit, without receiving the necessary attention and a timely solution.

Complaint: I've been trying to solve it with them, previously I had financial difficulties before I called West lake Financial Services and was told that my account is eligible for a 1 moth brake in payments every 4 months of consecutive payments, these people are giving me a hard time and besides penalized me an additional {$33.00} on the top of already very high balance with extremely high interest rate, they are ridiculous, I've contacted them on a XX/XX/XXXX to let them know that I will need a brake this month but they seem not to understand, I believe they have difficulties understanding English and what I'm trying to ask for, please make sure they report my account accordingly, very disappointing! They added penalty when I let them know ahead of time that I'm taking brake this month due to my financial circumstances. Please make sure these people do their job right not telling me on the phone " I don't know whom you spoke to before but ... ... '' This is horrible customer service experience!

Complaint: I got the loan from the finance company to purchase my new vechile on XX/XX/2019, well on XX/XX/2019, My vechile was impounded for 30 days for driving without a driver 's license.So 2 weeks into the impoundednent I called the finance company and asked them if they could put the impounded fees on the back of my contact, so that I can be prepared and get my finances in order for my bills for the month.well the finance company said that they wouldputthe impounded fees at the end of my contract, so I made used the money for other plans I had.on the day of the pick up day for the car, the finance company said that I had to come up with all the impounded fees which is XXXX, I told them there's no way I have that type of money, that's why I called you 2 weeks ago and ask you if you could put the impound fees on the back of my contact, so I can gather up the money and you said yes.and now they said that I can't receive the car in till I pay the fee of impound.i have not been irresponsible I have never been late on my payments.im upset cause they told me yes then on the day to pick up my car they said no they want the payment of the impound fee.

Debt was result of identity theft
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX Westlake Financial Services approved a loan of XXXX dollars to an auto dealer called XXXX in XXXX XXXX, Texas. Around XXXX I did try to look for a car, and gave my information to one of the sales man from that place, and my mistake was to give them my information through text messages. That auto dealer has been closed down for laundry money charges and for using social security from other people. I already contacted Westlake Financial Services multiple times and told them that I had nothing to do with the deal that was done without my consent, I never signed anything at all. They told me to do an Identity theft package on XX/XX/XXXX, the package arrive on that date, and I already sent it to them around the beginnings of XXXX. No answer whatsoever from them at all, I also already contacted XXXX twice about this issue, I sent all of the papers that were asked from me and they STILL tell me it is my account, that it belongs to me whereas it does not. I can not send more information to them because I already did, the car is nowhere to be found, I do not have it, no actions have been taken either by Westlake Financial Services NOR XXXX at all. My credit score has been gone down hill ever since.

Fraudulent loan
Complaint: i have been fooled by a shady financial institution, and they dont stop calling me, they are a financial institution that loaned my car and when i halted my payments, they towed my car, i have been paying my car for one year on a wrong social security number, that s why i stopped paying, but they were not correcting it even though i sent them the necessary documents such as copies of my ssn card and passport and my XXXX XXXX XXXX Card. i spent on lawyer to help me but they also gave him a hard time till he had to tell this company that he was going to call the police, i spent {$1200.00} on lawyer s fee and when they corrected it, i was reinbursing it but they said they do not do such reinbursement and they have told me that they already pulled my car, my concern is as follows : 1. if i applied for a bank loan or a job, can i put my name with a different social security number? it will not match or it will come out an error, right? 2. why didnt they want to correct it? 3. how did they manuever in having my name in a false ssn? 4. they run my correct ssn when i applied for the auto loan, so indeed they had the correct social security number, why did they input a different number? 5. this is a fraud transaction 6. they falsely destroyed my credit profile, 7. every single payment i made monthly, they never emailed or send in the mail an official receipt. 8.since this is a fraud transaction, i demand them to return all my car payments, including my downpayment and my lawyer 's fee. 9.they have a judgement conviction in New York with the Dept of Consumber Affairs handled by Ms. XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX , https : XXXX, just wondering why no one can help me in this matter? i have filed complaints with XXXX, Dept of Social Affairs and Consumber Report to the FTC i will appreciate if i can be heard on this matter, i have tried so hard to communicate with the different government agencies for help including Dept of Social Oversight and this has been ongoing for 2 years now! please help me..
