Complaint: There is already a debt collection on my Credit Report that is not my account and I have been disputing it with the Credit Bureaus from Westlake Financial Services Inc and the ORIGINAL supposed amount owed was {$10000.00} as of XX/XX/XXXX. I already was not aware of this debt and also the charge off amount and yet as I dispute the only thing that has been happening is the balance has been going up. Not to mention this account was closed way back in XX/XX/XXXX so how can the amount supposedly owed go up on an account that has been closed for over 2 years. On XX/XX/XXXX there was an alert of the amount changing from {$10000.00} up to {$11000.00} a difference of {$510.00} when the account has been closed since XXXX. Then yesterday I received another alert that the amount supposedly owed went up yet again from {$11000.00} to {$11000.00} an added difference of {$330.00} how is this even happening on an account that has been closed for over 2 years with no activity at all? That is a total of {$840.00} it has gone up for no reason at all this just goes to show that even the original amount supposedly owed was incorrect. This company is trying to scam me and is destroying my Credit Report in the process so I am filing this complaint since it does not seem like they are trying to help my situation they are just trying to ruin my Credit even more.

Westlake Financial closed my account without any warning and charge off my account. Now they are refusing to release my title. Not only did they cause issues with my employer Im dont have my case title. Im at the end of my loan, and theyve placed me in a hardship because of their illegal reporting

Complaint: In XXXX, Westlake Financial financed my XXXX XXXX for 48 months. I was not aware Westlake Financial built its wealth by feeding on middle class consumers with less than perfect credit. It was not enough my interest rate was 17.39 %, when I became ill and started having financial difficulties, representatives were not customer friendly. Many of them would threaten to repo the vehicle unless an extension was agreed upon. When the vehicle was within a year of being paid off, Westlake efforts to repo the vehicle increased. Once we called to get a payoff on the XXXX to cut cost with a cheaper vehicle, however the representative refused stating a payment need to be made. When he did not receive the payment, had our vehicle picked up claiming we requested it because we were purchasing another vehicle, which caused us to have to pay over {$2500.00} to reclaim the vehicle. Shortly after, Westlake repossessed the vehicle again, after I had made a {$400.00} payment, which costed us over {$2500.00} in fees to reclaim the vehicle. Complaints were filed on both incidents, however after reading the article in the XXXX XXXX XXXX, I discovered Westlake promotes unethical tactics by representatives. I contacted Westlake on XX/XX/XXXX, concerning the balance of the balloon payment due to the payment extensions. I was told if entire balance was not paid by XX/XX/XXXX, the vehicle could be picked up. I did not understand the {$7100.00} balance and I knew there was no way I could pay the entire balance by XX/XX/XXXX. I had to file Chapter XXXX.

Complaint: The car was totaled, XXXX issued a payment over XXXX on XX/XX/19 to WESTLAKE FINANCIAL SERVICES. I purchased gap coverage through the finance company they issued a payment of XXXX ; leaving me a balance of {$1600.00}. I don't dispute that the responsibility lies on me. However I am being told i have late charges and penalties for not paying a XXXX or XXXX payment of {$490.00} and they will report this to the credit bureau as a repossession. If my car hadn't been totaled and a payment of XXXX was made no payment would be due for almost 19 months how am I late on anything. How are they threatening me? They are still reporting a XXXX balance on my credit report ; negatively impacting my debt to income ratio.

I was given ( 2 ) contacts with different amounts {$24000.00} with a down payment of {$3500.00}. After pulling out the lot I noticed the check engine light on I immediately turned around and informed XXXX XXXX ( the General Mgr ) of this, I was informed to bring the car back in the morning and it will be fixed because the repair shop was already closed. There was nothing done the next morning and after returning several times and emails and talking to XXXX saying I have to take it to the dealer because they can't fix it. Only getting frustrated I explained to XXXX XXXX, XXXX and XXXX ( whom she brought out the 2nd contact with my signature forged ). I told them on several occasions that the car was not safe. I took it to a certified shop only to find out that the car have over {$10000.00} worth of damages.In that report this car has been in an accident with front end damage and has been rigged to appear as if the car is repaired. I was sold a lemon and this same car with the same vin number has been financed through Westlake Financial Services.

I was willing and ready to use my XXXX XXXX auto loan without hesitation. My salesman apparently ran my credit with MULTIPLE lenders WITHOUT my permission or knowledge on doing so. Not to mention, I have a 'Fraud Alert ' on my XXXX which should have prevented anyone from gaining access to my credit account without my approval. It wasnt until I checked my report 30days later and seen such transactions. I did not authorize all of these auto lenders to run my credit as I have been diligently working to build my credit and with all of these hard inquiries it has brought my credit score down. I have made attempts to contact XXXX XXXX regarding this issue but was informed there is nothing they could do, that I would need to dispute these transactions with the lenders.
