Complaint: I expected to pay off the loan in 36 payments ; the payments are {$230.00}.
I 've made 31 payments totaling over XXXX ; the most recent statement shows a payoff balance of over {$4000.00}. The original loan was {$2500.00}.
I 've repaid three times what I originally borrowed and they say I still owe them {$4000.00}!
I was XXXX years old when I made the loan and I feel like I was lead into a debt trap.
I do n't know if this is illegal or not ... I think it should be ... I think it stinks. Is there no one protecting XXXX from this type of thing?

Complaint: I currently have a little lone w/Wilshire Consumer Credit for the amount of {$6900.00} on a XXXX Kia Sportage. I fell behind on two payments and on Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX my car was repossessed. On Wednesday, XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX, I made a payment via XXXX in the amount of {$1400.00}. Upon making the transaction. I called Wilshire to advised them of the payment and gave them reference number. They confirmed receipt of the payment. I was advised that the release of the account/car can take between 24-48hrs. I have been calling them almost every 3hrs/day to inquire status of the release. They keep telling me it 's till pending. As of this morning at XXXX the release is still pending. It 's now been longer than the 48hrs. They keep telling to call back. I left a VM message for a " supervisor '' and no one has returned my call.

Complaint: This payment should be applied to the outstanding 'fee ' of {$99.00}. Understand this fee is fraudulently applied to my account, as the overpayment from XXXX XXXX satisfied all outstanding 'fees ' accessed to my account. XXXX XXXX ; following an overpayment, the agent advised the next month payment XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX of {$190.00}. My records reflect no late payments, and no short payments calendar year XXXX ; despite this, Westlake accounting is has accessed to my account these fees, in part to the phone agent erroneously allocating overpayment to the principle ; rather than credit as requested. I have debated this since XXXX XXXX, and repeatedly requested management review the call that began this fallacy. Westlake refusal to accurately investigate and correct their mistake is absurd.
This is my formal grievance. The process is flawed, accounting is flawed and sincerely do not appreciate being placed on hold 63 minutes by the supervisor ; waiting to speak to XXXX XXXX. Further being told by the supervisor " It is what it is '', completely unprofessional and inappropriate.

I borrowed against my truck and still owe more than I borrowed and they are charginh me 59 % interest rate and the XXXX told me to contact you. Complaint: My vehicle was repossessed on XXXX/XXXX/2016 for paying a partial payment of {$200.00} on my car note. I intended to pay the remainder of the {$380.00} note which is {$180.00} on XXXX but my vehicle was taken for being 15 days past due. To my knowledge a repossession notice is sent prior to repossessing a vehicle. I inquired on the date the letter was sent and was advised it was sent on XXXX with a cure date of XXXX. I also paid XXXX 's payment late, which was on XXXX the day I received the intent notice. So I am no longer bothered by the vehicle being repossessed for being 2 weeks late. Now I am being called 3 times a day from Westlake Financial to recover the vehicle. They tacked on fees and are willing to put the fees on the end of the loan if I pay the {$180.00} for XXXX and also pay XXXX payment. They are also willing to add XXXX payment to the end of the loan. The representative would not answer as to why was n't I given assistance to avoid the repossession versus being called daily to recover the vehicle. So I looked at blogs dedicated to Westlake Financials practices and this in a way for them to make extra money. They repossess cars for being less than 30 days past due then offer assistance to recover the vehicle. The assistance extends the loan and generates more interest. I have repeatedly asked Westlake to discontinue contact as they have the property but they refuse. They are already charging 27 % interest and late fees I do not understand the purpose of taking a vehicle then charging to get it back, and harassing you if you do n't get it back. I have been repeatedly threatened by representatives of Westlake Financial on the outcome of not recovering the vehicle as to make me recover the vehicle so I can always worry every night that when I wake up will my car be there. Please assist with the constant phone harassment and the outcome of repossessing a vehicle without notice.

Complaint: I made my last payment to Wilshire Consumer Credit on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX in the amount of {$120.00}.
Web site reflects the payment as well as a XXXX balance. I contacted them today at about XXXX pdt and inquired as to the status of when the title is to be released back to me. Attendant stated that due to the payment not being made via certified funds that I did not follow instructions of which i was never notified of such. I stated that the payment cleared my account on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX however she did not care to listen. I just want the title back. These folks are the most UN-professional and certainly should not be allowed to be in business.
Several months back i also brought up the following to them : XXXX XXXX, XXXX CONSUMER FINANCIAL PROTECTION BUREAU ORDERS INDIRECT AUTO FINANCE COMPANY TO PROVIDE CONSUMERS XXXX IN RELIEF FOR ILLEGAL DEBT COLLECTION TACTICS Westlake Services and Wilshire Consumer Credit Pressured Borrowers with Illegal Threats and Phony Caller IDs I mentioned to them that they were supposed to issue refunds or credits against accounts. However was told that i was not eligible. Which seems odd.
Bottom line is i want my title back.

BECAUSE THEY SOLD THE CAR FOR LESS THAN IT WAS WORTH I AM SUPPOSED TO PAY THE BALANCE. I SET UP A PAYMENT ARRANGMENT OF {$120.00} PER MONTH. I PIAID MY XXXX PAYMENT ON XXXX. Complaint: In XXXX XXXX ; I purchased a XXXX Ford Edge from XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX XXXX. After about 1 month of jumping thru hoops, of needing more documentation. etc. The loan was picked up by Westlake Financial Customer Care XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX - ( XXXX ) XXXX. The loan payments were to be made starting in XXXX XXXX, at XX/XX/XXXX, I received an adverse action letter stating they were not extending credit due to a timeline in getting the documents back to them. I called and after 3-4 days, it was finally confirmed that the loan was ok, and that I need to make the payment. I arranged this payment over the phone at that time. Due to the agent transposing the routing number, the payment was returned. I immediately called, confirmed with them the routing # was incorrect, and made another payment., resolving the issue. Since that time, I had made payments for XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. Then XX/XX/XXXX, the payment was due again, I go online to pay the loan, and see there is a payment in full stamp on the loan. It was after hours, and I was going to call the next morning. That night, the dealership sent out a tow truck to pick up my vehicle. The driver stated the loan did not go thru, and that it was a first payment default, stating MY down payment of {$5600.00} AND monthly payments for 6 months ( {$620.00} ) totaling {$3400.00}, additionally I had to repair a gas line ( {$50.00} ) Did my self so no receipt ; then {$100.00} for an oil sensor and {$470.00} for an alternator for another {$620.00}. This was NOT a first payment default, and if it were, how did it take you 6 months to determine this? IT WASN '' T, not only did they get my first payment, they took 5 more! I have attempted to contact the dealership, and for a week now, they just keep telling me they are trying to work on it, and are now refusing to return my calls. I am out {$9600.00}, plus the cost of having to rent a rental car for transportation while they " figure it out ''.

Complaint: I paid my car off XXXX XXXX with an overpayment of {$600.00}. Westlake financial services is refusing to send me the overpayment check. I have called and asked for it to be expedited and I am not getting any resolution at all. One manager XXXX XXXX said it would be done but the check was never sent. No where in there contract states there is a 22 business day waiting period for overpayments on payoffs.
