Complaint: On XXXX I sent a notice of dispute to Wilshire Consumer Credit. This letter was sent via USPS Certified Mail with return receipt ( # XXXX ) and was signed for by XXXX XXXX on XXXX. Subsequently I filed disputes with the XXXX major credit reporting agencies, requesting that they investigate the accuracy and completeness of the account. On XXXX Wilshire sent correspondence acknowledging my dispute. Their correspondence indicated their belief that they were reporting accurately and their refusal to delete or modify the reporting. On XXXX I received investigation results from XXXX indicating that the " account remains ''. On XXXX I received investigation results from XXXX indicating that they " verified that this item has been reported correctly ''. On XXXX I received investigation results from XXXX indicating that " new information '' was reported. Despite their continued verification, none of these credit reports were updated to indicate my dispute of the completeness and/or accuracy of your reporting. XXXX. Responsibilities of furnishers of information to consumer reporting agencies [ 15 U.S.C. XX/XX/XXXXs-2 ] ( a ) .3 of the FCRA states " If the completeness or accuracy of any information furnished by any person to any consumer reporting agency is disputed to such person by a consumer, the person may not furnish the information to any consumer reporting agency without notice that such information is disputed by the consumer. '' Again, this was not done. I 'm sure Wilshire is aware of the consequences of violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act as well as the multiple violations their company is now responsible for. If not, let me point them out for you : FCRA 1. 623. Responsibilities of furnishers of information to consumer reporting agencies [ 15 U.S.C. XX/XX/XXXXs-2 ] ( a ) ( 3 ) Duty to provide notice of dispute. XXXX. XXXX. Procedure in case of disputed accuracy [ XXXX XXXX XXXX ] ( XXXX XXXX Treatment of inaccurate or unverifiable information. XXXX. Civil liability [ XXXX XXXX XXXX ] ( a ) Except as otherwise provided by this section, any debt collector who fails to comply with any provision of this title with respect to any person is liable to such person in an amount equal to the sum of -- ( 1 ) any actual damage sustained by such person as a result of such failure ; ( 2 ) ( A ) in the case of any action by an individual, such additional damages as the court may allow, but not exceeding {$1000.00} I have made numerous attempts to resolve this matter. Complaint: I notified Wilshire Consumer Credit that in XX/XX/XXXX that I was experiencing a hardship. Account number is XXXX. Instead of the normal monthly payment, I would be able to pay $ XXXX for XXXX to XXXX months and that I could resume full payments of {$750.00} in XX/XX/XXXX. This is fully documented. XXXX even executed a skip-a-payment in XX/XX/XXXX to assist. During a phone call today during which I notified I would be making payment earlier than normal ( this Friday the XXXX ), and for {$600.00}, the rep indicated the car has been sent for reposition. This is completely in unacceptable considering what is documented and offered. I pay this bill every month.

Complaint: A long time ago I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to buy a vehicle. I went there because I saw the price reasonable for a XXXX XXXX that was {$2500.00} if it was paid fully cash. So I gave {$1500.00} down agreeing with them that I was going to pay the rest soon. From that point, the confusion and fraud started. That day, we were talking about the vehicle, payments, etc.. they were speaking to me while handing me documents. The documents they gave me agreed with the conversation we were having. Everything that day was great, I even went home with the van and I though it concluded they way it was supposed to.. Then Westlake Financial Services called me about the vehicle, telling me that I had to pay the double of the vehicle original value. I told them to give me an explanation about what was happening but they did n't tell me much, just that the dealer sent them the purchase documents. I contacted the dealer for an explanation but they did n't help me either. Then I took all the documents they gave me and I started to review them. The documents I have are the ones with the correct prices but my signatures and initials were n't there ( I have the documents as prove ). XXXX of the mistakes is that In the dealer document it says that I gave {$500.00} down payment while Westlake document says I gave {$1500.00} ( which I gave to the dealer ). I contacted Westlake Financial and they told me that they were going to send me the documents the dealer gave them. So I received only XXXX documents that looked like mine but the information on them was totally different, and I realized that my sign and initials were there! .. So how did they do it? How is that the dealer gave me different documents and Westlake another XXXX. Did they switch it? I do n't know, but what I know is that in my hands are the documents I was supposed to have. I was trying to contact them all the time so they could help me but they did n't. I did n't know where to look for help so my only option was to pay because I needed the vehicle. I found out about this website and I decided to make a complaint because I do n't want them to get away with this. Probably those 2 companies have a business going on scamming decent people.

Complaint: I purchased a car from XXXX in XXXX 2015. Upon purchasing the car, it was unknown to me that the company was not in business in the state of Florida. In XXXX upon trying to renew the decal for the car, I was told the car had no owner. I reached out to XXXX XXXX who was the person I was interacting with upon the purchase. He gave me a number to a XXXX XXXX. Upon speaking to this individual I was advised he did not have any paper work in the car. After not being able to contact XXXX XXXX for some time, I reached out to the finance company which at the time was Western Funding. After speaking with their titles department, I was advised by XXXX XXXX, they have been investigating this company which was also known as XXXX XXXX XXXX for fraud. They had XXXX cars with no titles to them from this company. Their legal department was looking into this, but in the mean time, I still could not renew the decal for the car. After filing a report with the Florida State XXXX, I was able to renew the decal and I was also given the title to the car. The finance company wanted the title to the car, even after all the fraud that was going on with the car dealerships. They repossess the car. I still have the title due to it having no lender on the original title.

Complaint: I bought a car and was making payments when I lost my job. I fell behind. The car was repossessed and sold. I owed {$13000.00}. The car was sold for {$8900.00}. Westlake Financial Services sent this to a collection agency. When I called the collection agency they said it had been taken back by Westlake. This is my complaint. When Westlake Financial Services called 2 months ago they told me over the phone if I paid {$3700.00} they would accept that as final payment and remove it from my record. I have called them back today and they are demanding {$6200.00} and if I could pay 85 % of that in cash they 'd accept {$5300.00}. I have the original {$3700.00} and am willing to close out the account, but they have now changed their minds. I have talked to them numerous times and they always change. They will not put their offer into a letter. It 's only an oral agreement.

Complaint: Sent from my iPad Begin forwarded message : Good evening my name is XXXX XXXX, the reason for this email is .I purchased a vehicle last year in XXXX from XXXX, although I was n't approved the first day .My salesman called me the next morning stating he had gotten me approved for a 2013 XXXX XXXX .Since having the car it 's been in the shop three times, then when I called today because of the payoff amount .I found out west lake is charging me an extra XXXX XXXX dollars in interest, plus I 'm going to end up paying XXXX XXXX XXXX dollars for a XXXX .Now I will take the blame on my part for not throughly reading every word of that contract .Yet I was never told by my sales man, that I 'd have to pay that much and he never informed me that I had the options of choosing any vehicle that fell in that amount .When I try and trade the vehicle in, I ca n't because of the negative equity in the car, and no one will refinance because of the price .So pretty much I 've been throwing money away because I 'm still owing XXXX after paying a year .Ive paid almost XXXX $ into that car and every dime has gone toward interest of XXXX $ a day .If I would have none any of this, I would have went to a buy here pay here .I have read all the negative reviews on XXXX, also on the consumer affairs web site about west lake .I serve XXXX XXXX and I do my best to treat others the way he instructs me too, He claims he 's helping the consumers, Yet how can you say your trying to help people that have bad credit, when your charging them XXXX $ in interest. I got this car for my wife so she could get back, and forth, now it has caused unexplained XXXX in our marriage .Im so upset seeing how people can have billions of dollars by hurting others He should be featured on XXXX XXXX. I thought by paying each month for a car note that is due each month, that I 'm paying on time yet I learn today each day after the XXXX, I 'm being charged XXXX $ a day .Im not going to continue to focus my energy on this matter because regardless of how XXXX XXXX XXXX doing unethical business, XXXX is still in control and he fights all my battles .No! Complaint: I am an XXXX-year-old man who went to XXXX XXXX in XXXX, California to buy a used car. The salesman told me I did n't have good enough credit to buy a used car and said that I could get a loan for a new car. He arranged a loan with Westlake Finance for a loan with 22.19 % interest for the cost of the car plus a {$2500.00} extended warranty. My grandmother helped me realize what I would actually be paying for this car and took me to her credit union who bought out the loan and is charging me 2.44 % interest. On XXXX XXXX, 2016, I cancelled the extended warranty. XXXX XXXX told me the {$2500.00} would be sent to Westlake Finance within 60 days who would then forward the money to my credit union. After many visits to XXXX and phone calls to Westlake, I now have a copy of a cancelled check in the amount of {$2400.00} sent to Westlake by XXXX and endorsed and cashed by Westlake on XXXX XXXX, 2016. They deny all knowledge of it. XXXX says they have done their part and have washed their hands of the matter.

Everything is going well until I was informed that I was not getting credit for payment XXXX XXXX2016 XXXX. I was told to provide proof of license and social security card ( which I did that month ). Several months later and many calls to my the credit bureaus to resolve my trouble which was minor and I was told to wait till the next month to get an update.by West Lake Financial. If my credit was bad from the start why was I not told to provide info before..? They ca n't file because of some discrepancy issues. Credit agency told me nothing should hold them back file my payments in the system. I need financing help

Every single month I get a late fee notice after my payment has been made on time. I can send a bank statement showing proof My credit is ruined with this company and I want it reversed and for them to stop harassing late letters.
