Complaint: I called to receive payoff amount for my auto loan and was given an amount that was far higher than expected. I was then advised that I was not being charged the annual percentage rate that was agreed upon in my contract but a daily interest rate. Nowhere in the contract that I signed does it state that I had a Simple interest loan and was to be charged daily. Representative I spoke to when called on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX was not able to explain to my why my contract was not being upheld and only would say that Westlake Financial only offers Simple Interests loans. But yet I was not provided with a contract that states that. Pulling payment information also reflect that several of my payments were interest heavy and paid more interest than principal some months.

Months later I get a lawyer to write the letter they tell him they sent me the money but nothing

Complaint: I purchased a vehicle from a used car dealership XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX, 2012. Westlake Financial Services XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX. The car was a lemon. It broke down completely and I returned the car to the dealership on XXXX XXXX, 2012. The car was towed back to the dealership. Westlake Financial has been reporting to all XXXX credit bureaus that I still owe the full amount of the loan with wrong information and refuse to remove this or the debt. Truly a horrible nightmare experience dealing with them, the dealership involved, and the credit bureaus. I 've been disputing this for years with no resolve. This is making a negative impact on my credit reports and life. It 's preventing me from having any credit from other lenders or even my own bank because it reflects the entire balance as a charge off. I want others to be aware and stay away from them.

Complaint: I financed a car On XX/XX/XXXX with Westlake financial along with a co-signer. I fell behind on car payments in XX/XX/XXXX, I then caught up on my payments and due to switching jobs I then fell behind again being off work for XXXX weeks and I went from getting paid bi-weekly to weekly. I fell behind and I have been trying to make small payments here and there. the finance company had told me that everything was okay and I was going to catch up on my payments. I called today XX/XX/XXXX to make my regular payment and the finance company had told me that my account was locked and someone else had to handle it, at that point I did not know what this meant. I was transferred to a male attendant and he had told me my account was locked due to being behind on payments. I then commented I was calling to make a payment. After I had explained the situation that I had fell behind he proceeded to tell me there was nothing he can do he was locking my account to no longer accept payments from me then the attendant continued to mock me and belittle me in a rude tone. such as saying " theres nothing I can do im not going to wait for you, you cant even afford the car, and also mocked me saying " all your saying is ugh, ugh, ugh is there anything else I can do when I already told you XXXX times no '' I then commented that there is no reason to belittle me or mock me in this situation. and he said " I am stating facts okay I repeated myself 4 times, so make sure you take your personal belongings out of the car so they can pick it up XXXX different companies have been looking for you and if your hiding we will find you '' I then told him " if I was hiding would n't have called you to make my car payment today. He proceeded to say " well im not going to say no to your money im going to take it but that is not going to help its too late '' I got upset and told him his tone and the way he handled customer service was not right and he made the comment of " I am not customer service I am collections '' so I mentioned regardless of him being customer service or collections he should allow the customer to talk or state the concern. I then hung up due to the rude mannerism and now they are telling me they are sending tow trucks to my job and home. URGENT.
