Complaint: I have a Mort gage Loan with Wells Fargo. Bec ause of the various hardships, explained in the attached Hardship Letter, I fell behind on my payments. I applied for a HAMP Loan Modification on XXXX XXXX XXXX ( 51 Pages - p roof attached ) and submitted a complete package. Subsequently they asked me to submit some supplementary docs., which I did through my 3rd part y. I am surprised to learn that my request has been turned down, because Wells Fargo had offered me a TPP Plan, last year - WHICH I NEVER RECEIVED.When my 3rd Party asked to have a copy of the same, they did not want to send it. So how can I be denied a Modification, for which I feel I am fully eligible, when I did not receive any at all? I understand that under HAMP ev en people who received a Loan Mod earlier and defaulted can also apply for a Loan Modification again.However, ther e is no question of a default as I did not receive any TPP Plan at all.

Complaint: Today I tried to open an account wi th Wells Fargo. I already have a previous joint account with them. It sent a form back from XXXX XXXX XXXX not allowing the account to be open. My home was burglarized back in 2012 and I have been experiencing identity theft since then. The accounts open in my name with wells fargo and other locations they are using the wrong social security number, They are changing the last digit from a XXXX to a XXXX and its still allowing them to open things in my name.

Complaint: Wells Fargo sent me a flyer saying if I spent {$1000.00} within 3 months of account openning, WF will give me {$150.00} cash bonus which is redeemable in 2 billing cycles. I did spent more than {$2000.00} within 1 month, asking WF to post that cash bonus {$150.00} to my account. WF said NO, I have to wait until the 3 month period passed then 2 billing cycles in order to get the bonus.

Complaint: Due to a medical hardship within our family, on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX ET, I contacted my mortgage servicing company, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage ( phone # XXXX ), to inquire about a possible loan modification. During this call, or possibly shortly thereafte r ( not sure which call ), I was instructed by a Wells Fargo representative to " stop making mortgage payments '' while the modification was in process, even th ough my loan was current at the time. Customer Service phone recording : XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX ET for 2 8 minutes. SPOC p hone recordings : XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX ET for 2 minutes XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX ET for 11 minutes XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX ET for 16 minutes. On XX/XX/XXXX , the loan modification was approved w ith 4 tri al payments, scheduled by the mortgage servicer, to begin on XX/XX/XXXX . This scheduling, plus the instruction to 'stop making payments ' in XX/XX/XXXX , put my mortgage payment status in to 90+ days past due. I passed the trial by making all scheduled payments on the due date for each an d I have continued to make payments ever since, including on XX/XX/XXXX , for a total of 6 pa yments since the trial period began on XX/XX/XXXX . My loan modification agreement included a letter with strict instructions from Wells Fargo to await notification from a Wells Fargo notary, who would bring the original copies of the agreement to be signed at a mutually agreed time and place. Despite repeated e fforts by me to get this scheduled, the notary never scheduled a time or place to sign the mod agreement, which was due on XX/XX/XXXX . F ollow-up email messages to my SPOC seeking resolution went unanswered. During this entire period of time, I received online statements fro m Wells Fargo detailing all mod payments and showing my account as current, including a reduction in my unpaid balance. I had no idea that there was an issue with this mod until on XX/XX/XXXX , wh en I received a certified letter from Wells Fargo dated XX/XX/XXXX indicating that your loan is in default for failure to make payments due with total past due payments of {$14000.00}, despite a total of {>= $1,000,000} in payments being made to Wells Fargo by me since XX/XX/XXXX . I immediately calle d Wells Fargo customer service ( XXXX ) on XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX to discuss this issue. My call was promptl y forwarded to the SPOC for this loan mod, who claimed she no longer was servicing the loan and that there was nothing she could do to help. The SPOC transferred my call to her Supervisors voice mail box, where I left a lengthy message pleading with the Supervisor to return my call to discuss the issue. No attempt has been made by the Supervisor to make contact with me since I left that message over two weeks ago.
My case has been referred to an 'executive ' at Wells Fargo who told me that t his issue will take " weeks to resolve ''. I find it hard to believe that the owner of my loan would prefer to foreclose on a loan that was approved for a modification, passed the modification trial and continues to meet agreed modification payments than to simply close this mod as previously agreed. I would also like fo r Wells Fargo to contac t all credit agencies to reverse all damages to my credit rating due to their poor handling of this loan modification. Thank you.

Complaint: I am the trustee for the trust of XXXX XXXX XXXX who was the last surviving borrower on a reverse mortgage serviced by Wells Fargo Bank before she passed on XX/XX/XXXX for her home located at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, Ca. XXXX. Wells Fargo 's Loan ID # is XXXX and Loan Acct # is XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, Wells Fargo provided us with written notice of our rights and obligations and specifically indicated that Youll have up to six months to purchase or market and sale the property. This calculates to XX/XX/XXXX. As they requested, we also provided Wells Fargo with copies of the deceaseds death certificate, the trust agreement and an intent letter that indicated we were going to sale the property. Wells Fargo acknowledged receipt of these documents by letter dated XX/XX/XXXX. Based upon that written representation, we renovated the house and put it up for sale and it is set to close on XX/XX/XXXX. The problem that we seek your assistance on is that despite our protests including that the house had sold and was in escrow, in XX/XX/XXXX Wells Fargo referred the property for foreclosure. After further protests, Wells Fargo agreed to not take any formal legal action. We assumed that this ended the matter, however, Wells Fargos attorney is now charging us {$900.00} in legal fees relating to the foreclosure. We have had numerous conversations with Wells Fargo personnel about this matter including today with XXXX XXXX of Wells Fargo at ( XXXX ) XXXX XXXX. He has defending the foreclosure action and has refused to reverse the legal fees stating that HUD guidelines required them to start foreclosure 120 days after the last borrowers death and furthermore they didnt have any duty to notify us of this requirement ( which they did n't until after they referred the matter to foreclosure ) and that it was our mistake to rely upon the representations in their XX/XX/XXXX letter which gave us until XX/XX/XXXX to market and sale the property. The facts support that Wells Fargo has refused to comply with the very specific repayment terms that they provided in their XXXX XXXX XXXX letter, have fraudulently and arbitrarily changed those terms without providing any prior notice and instituted foreclosure proceedings prior to the date that they specifically provided as the grace period before the debt became due and payable, namely on XXXX XXXX XXXX. This fraud caused tremendous XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX plus hours of my time to seek their agreement to cease these actions and has causing the above mentioned legal fees to be billed to XXXX XXXX estate. Please investigate this matter on our behalf because Wells Fargo 's actions are dishonest and I think fraudulent.

My original account was closed due to it being comprised which I believe XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX was tampering with it. I believe I was set up by the employees at the XXXX XXXX location in XXXX XXXX and forcing me to come in, to talk to a banker face to face which I was given the run around having to drive back and forth being discriminatory towards me. And then after I get my new checking account opened i run into XXXX XXXX at the XXXX XXXX location, and she falsely made a XXXX call that I was harassing her and the police showed up but they did n't do anything to me. They just looked confused at why they were called because nothing was happening,. If the banker that i was working with at the time lied saying I was harassing her then their is something wrong. I also believe XXXX XXXX is stealing money to have her brother and sister in law live in her house because they do n't wo rk and they dri ve cars that have n't even been finance yet and for the past 6 months, they have been driving without alabama tags. XXXX XXXX has spread untrue things and has ruin my and my sons reputation all around wells fargo, with her lying to XXXX XXXX about me harassing her and how he sent me a threatening letter telling me that, i had better stay out of the wells fargo location on XXXX XXXX . This is why i believe i was set up with them making me come to the wells fargo branch, and having to see them in person just so XXXX XXXX can falsely accuse me of harassing her. I contacted Wells Fargo for assistance and was led to believe that no worries Wells Fargo is here to help and assist. <P/> I was in contact with Wells Fargo trying to g et the loan modified so I do n't lose my house as it is my primary residence and in addition all documents requested was faxed promptly with no delays. <P/> I have been unfairly treated by th e Wells Fargo in time of need. I was looking to Wells Fargo as my savior to reestablish my loan payment and regain my good status. Or at least Wells Fargo should have some for forbearance on the 4 payments balance which is due to loss of my employment. But, I did not receive from Wells Fargo any assistance or detailed copy of the modification nor how the loan will be calculated according to what you have told me that the loan will be recalculated over 40 years and lowering the interest. Complaint: Refi nanced mortgage to get lower rate and payment with Wells Fargo the original loan holder of the previous mortgage. Lots of people were in on the underwriting and It seemed they were going through staff changes during my closing process. My payments were to be XXXX less per month. Now many months later my taxes are due and I received a bill from my county. When I call WF tells me they are paying it not to worry. It is part of my escrow that was carried forward. Yesterday I got a bill from Wells fargo saying they paid some Title company XXXX and my county. Well if they did I would n't have a bill! They say I will be receiving a refund which I have not as yet from one of these and if I do n't send it to them they will raise my payment XXXX dollars a month due to my escrow. Why did I refinance in the first place? This is incompetence of the highest!

Credit card company won't increase or decrease your credit limit
Complaint: I have been a customer of Wells Fargo since XX/XX/XXXX . I started off with a secured credit card with a deposit of {$500.00}. After a year of use they refunded my deposit and increased the line to {$700.00}. Abo ut 6 months to 1 year l ater I had applied for an increase and they countered with {$900.00} limit. With my current liabilitie s ( mor tgage, car payments, etc, my DTI is only 25 % ). My current credit score flu ctuates between mid and high XXXX . Income is XXXX annually. I do have XXXX negative items from high school / college year s ( w hich have been paid off yet still lingering on my report - probably why I do n't have a XXXX score at the moment ). However, my report states XXXX missed payments on all accounts and my utilization is currently at 22 % ( and again Debt to income ratio is only 25 % ). I do not have any bankruptcies. I also had over {$50000.00} last year in a savings PMA account with Wells Fargo. Regardless of this they still would not increase my limit over {$900.00}. I applied with XXXX and I now have a {$16000.00} credit limit with XXXX . This card allows me to make every day purchases while still keeping my utilization under 30 % ( which is known as good utilization ). As a result I had moved all my accounts over to XXXX . The aforementioned facts are to help you understand why I am filing a formal complaint. I feel that Wells Fargo ' s business practices are unethical. Considering credit is extremely important in all financial aspects in America, I feel suppressed by unwarranted reasons. The letter I had received in the mail had said I was denied due to " inquiries in last 2 years on credit report and high balance as compared to credit limit or revolving line ''. I had called customer service and expressed the inquiries were due to my home purchase last year. I had also asked how they could perceive a 22 % credit utilization as " high balance ''. She said I was not privy to know what they considered " high utilization '' as it 's part of their proprietary algorithm. That does n't seem very compliant with the fair credit reporting act. The last reason was " insufficient length of time accounts on credit report has been established ''. I have an account that is over 10 years old, without missed payments, active and in good standing. Again she would not inform me what they considered a " sufficient length of time ''. Overall I feel that banks and credit lendors have an ethical responsibility to inform clients of their business practices and educate their clients as to achieving better credit status. I feel unfairly suppress ed by Wells Fargo and I hope others can learn from this experience. Unfortunately closing the card would only hinder my credit status.

Complaint: I submitted a complaint against Wells Fargo Bank/credit divi sion on XXXX / XXXX / XXXX regarding issues with our interest rate after opening a checking account. the associate at the bank promoted all the benefits of their credit card ... overdraft protection etc.This evening, X/X/17 , Wells Fargo responded to the complaint basically stating the same responce and wording i 've heard for the last 2yrs. This was not the result i expected filing a complaint with CFPB and considering wells f argo 's track record over the last 4-5 yrs am very disa ppointed. My main point in this complaint and over the l ast 2+yrs is the bank showing what specific criteria was used to apply a 26 % interst rate to my account other than to state credit worthyness. As i stated in original complaint and directed at wf associates many times, how was i able to purchase a house at 2.62 % ..15yrs and have a credit score that ranges ar ound XXXX and get hit with a 26 % rate on their card. Again with this banks past goals of misleading practices and placing revenue above their customers, i strongly believe this should be looked into further Original complaint # XXXX

Complaint: I applied for a credit card wit h Wells Fargo on XXXX 2017. At t he time of the application I had a credit freeze on my credit report. I forgot to unfreeze it prior to the application. I received an email stating that the application was denied because my report could n't be accessed due to the freeze. I unfroze my reports then chatted with a customer rep to ask if I needed to fill out another application or if the initial application could still be considered. I was told to fill out another application. I asked if they were sure that the system would n't recognize it as a duplicate I was told no and to fill out another. I proceeded to fill out another application. The app went into a pending status. When I called for a status update it says app was denied because I just applied. Exactly what the customer rep told me would not happen. My XXXX report was pulled on XX/XX/XXXX for consideration of the first app. On Friday XX/XX/XXXX , i was informed that the initial application was denied due to high balances and additional reasons. On XX/XX/XXXX my XXXX credit report was pulled TWICE ag ain by Wells Fargo. I ca lled to find out why my report was pulled twice the day after my app was declined. I spoke with XXXX at XXXX who told me all they could do was put in a request to XXXX to have XXXX of the inquiries removed but that it would not be gauranteed to be removed but admitted it was an err or of Wells Fargo. T his was an e rror on Wells Fargo pa rt and those inquiries should be removed. If my app was declined on the XX/XX/XXXX and was not being reconsidered they did not have permission to access my report twice by the same credit bureau again the very next day after the app was declined. In summary, I have XXXX unauthorized credit inquiries on my XXXX report both dated XXXX XXXX 2017 an d I want them removed.

Fees charged for closing account
Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX , I called Wells Fargo bec ause I cancelled all my autopay with my credit card companies and loans in XXXX of XXXX . I noticed that a few were still debiting my account without my consent. I contacted Wells Fargo and told them that I just wanted to close the account be I felt that I did not have any control over the account. They suggested that I open a new account with a new account number and that would solve the problem. They filed a claim for me to get the a refund on all the money that I lost due non authorization debits on my account. I thought my troubles were taken care off. I noticed that on the new account, it was still being debited!!! Wow!! I called them and was told that by a supervisor that she had made the necessary changes and would re-file my claim and it should not happen. Guess what? Not only did they deny my claim but it was still happening. I was just frustrated with them so I called them to close my account again. They would not let me close it. Now because it has been negative due to them accommodating debits on a new account, with a new account number they finally closed it. I want to resolve this issue because I do n't owe them anything and I do n't want this on my credit report when I did everything that I was suppose to and they did n't. I am hoping to resolve this issue. This has been very stressful for me and no one should have to encounter this. I was actually a good Well Fargo Customer.

Complaint: When I go online to sign into my account with Wells Fargo Bank, they have a credit card advertisement for a {$200.00} bonus after spending {$1000.00} with the new card. I found it very tempting and applied online. They responded 'pending ' after I submitted my application. Then I received their letter of disapproval of my application. The reason they gave me was I have 'no consumer accounts with Wells Fargo ' . I have an account with them sin ce 1967. Ca n't they find me in their stupid system? I believe they deny my application is because of my last name and my age as well as they are stingy about their {$200.00} bonus. Complaint: Ever since my mortgage transferred over fro m America 's Home Servicing Company to Wells Fargo Home mortgage several months ago, I have been unable to log into my mortgage account. I have contacted customer service about a half dozen times and no one can help me and does not know why my mortgage account can not be accessed. I just tonight spent about 2 hours on the phone and was transferred among 6 different numbers and spoke to about 8 people, all of who either had to transfer me, due to lack of knowledge or access, or just could not figure it out. I have not had access to my online mortgage account now going on 3 months and I need to get in to review statements, tax docs, rates and other terms of my mortgage account. The last interaction I had with Wells Fargo tonight was that someone was going to put in a trouble ticket and get back to me in 10 business days. Completely unacceptable

Though I went into the branch when I signed up and they made me go into the branch and give my ID three times . I have XXXX XXXX cre dit from a payment to my card that wells fargo refuses to send me a check for. I 've called 100 's of tim es to get my money back and no one will help. This is going on for 4 months. I am late on my bills because of it. I have no other choice WILL have FILE A LAWSUIT AND MAKE COMPLAINT WITH THE attorney general for wells fargo illegially holding my funds
