Non-sufficient funds and associated fees
Complaint: I called back in XXXX to remove the overdraft abilities as I didn't want to pay fees. They told me it was fixed. Today it is at over {$200.00} negative and I never went over the limit nor overdrafted. They agreed to refund {$75.00} of their fees and now I keep getting more and more. They are threatening to report me to early warning if I don't magically come up with money I never had nor wanted responsibility to.

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: I had co-signed on a credit card account with Wells Fargo with my student daughter. This was some time around 2012. I was/am the primary co-signer due to my credit score. The credit limit was set at {$1000.00}. Wells Fargo fraudulently and without my knowledge or authorization kept increasing the credit limit until it was over {$7000.00}!
These were charges all made by my daughter and the account has since been closed and paid down to around {$3600.00}.
It was NEVER my intent to have the card run over {$1000.00}! If Wells Fargo is going to make ME responsible for this account I should have been the once to authorize the increases. I would like them to take my name off this account. Further, I want Wells Fargo take the balance down to {$1000.00} due to the fraudulent actions with my credit and name.

Banking errors
Complaint: XXXX XX/XX/2019 On XXXX XX/XX/2019 XXXX XXXX XXXX deposited {$500.00} into the Wells Fargo ( WF ) account of XXXX XXXX XXXX, her son. She filled out the deposit slip for his account. She INTENDED to put the money into HER account, but did not do so. WF correctly put the money into XXXX 's Account. On XXXX XX/XX/2019 WF did 5 things : ( 1 ) It spoke with XXXX on the phone & she told them what she had intended but in fact did not do. ( 2 ) WF debited ( removed ) {$500.00} from XXXX 's account. They did not notify XXXX or me. ( 3 ) WF put {$500.00} into the account of XXXX XXXX. ( 4 ) They sent a false statement by USPS to XXXX. WF wrote : " we want to let you know about an error we identified when processing a transaction from XX/XX/XXXX .... there was a delay in posting a deposit. '' This statement is false on 2 counts. ( a ) There was not error on the part of the bank. The bank put the money into the account ( XXXX 's ) indicated on the deposit slip. ( b ) There was no delay. The deposit to his account was on XXXX XXXX, the same day she filled out the deposit slip. ( 5 ) WF sent a false statement to XXXX and to me by USPS. The letter is dated XXXX XXXX & it arrived on XXXX XXXX. It came to XXXX and to me because we have a joint account. This letter says : " we want you to know about an error we identified when processing a transaction from XXXX XXXX on your account : a deposit processed in error to this account, to correct the error on XXXX XXXX, we debited {$500.00} from your account. '' Again, there was no error in processing. The bank put the money into the account specified on the deposit slip of XXXX XXXX. MY COMPLAINT IS THAT WELLS FARGO REMOVED {$500.00} FROM OUR JOINT ACCOUNT WITHOUT NOTIFYING US, WITHOUT ANY DUE PROCESS OR RECOURSE ON OUR PART, THEN THEY LIED REPEATEDLY ABOUT THE REASON FOR THIS. I believe they this debiting ( removal ) of the money was not legal. Remember the money was put where the deposit slip said to put it and the money had been in the account 32 days. I write this letter with full consent and knowledge of both XXXX and XXXX. I have documents to support all these statements. [ XXXX does not have evidence of the way she filled out the deposit slip on XXXX XXXX, but she tells me that she filled it out to XXXX ( not to herself as she intended ). She tells me that she has requested a bank copy of this transaction and has not received it after 2 weeks. ] She tells me that on XXXX XXXX she told WF that she had made the error on XXXX XXXX. She tells me that the error was not made by WF. The Wells Fargo department handling this is CORRECTIONS & RECONCILEMENT - CUSTOMER RESEARCH with a File # XXXX. I have not contacted WF about this matter. I am going to send a copy of this complaint to WF. I attach 6 documents to this complaint.

Account status incorrect
Complaint: XXXX and Wells Fargo refuse to remove a negative reporting ( a 30 days late ) payment even though Wells Fargo agreed that the 30 days late payment was because of something that was their error. Wells Fargo notified me of the change of reporting via mail on XX/XX/19 and I forwarded what Wells sent me via their executive office to XXXX. XXXX refuses to do their due diligence and investigate this further and remove it from my account! Please have XXXX remove this from my account ASAP

Other problem
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX my credit was fraudulently ran without my permission or consent. I have been a victim of fraud and Identity Theft. On XX/XX/XXXX I signed up for XXXX XXXX because I have received several letters for credit that I had no knowledge of and to have a better understanding I needed to know what was reporting on my credit file. I immediately called the company phone number listed on the correspondence only to be transferred to and from numerous departments being left on hold and then the phone being disconnected but promised a transfer to someone who I can report this fraud. I am desperately seeking someone to help me with this matter because its obvious they will continue to ping pong with me because it isnt them and they probably could care less because the fraud is not happening to them and its not fair.

Deposits and withdrawals
Complaint: I received a check from business and deposited it into my Wells Fargo account on Monday. I was told by a manager at the branch that there would be a hold placed on the check ( normally 7 days ) but that she would fully release the check on Wednesday, in only two days.
At first, everything happened as promised and the check was released. Later on, after I had made a significant withdrawal, I was alarmed to find that my account was XXXX overdrawn with 15 pending withdrawals plus possible fees. I was told that this is because the check was had not cleared. I was warned if I didnt settle the balance, that my account would be closed as well. With this information, I proceeded to contact the mediator residing over the settlement and the business who issued the check. This resulted in the company offering to ach funds into my bank account, after they figure out why the payment didnt post. The issue was that the payment DID post to their account and the check cleared the same day that I deposited it. They even sent me an emailed copy of the check with my signature and a bank record.
So I immediately contacted Wells Fargo who told me a number of things. 1. Business must not have had funds when they tried to collect but that they must have called other bank and resubmitted the check. 2. Business bank states that the check looked suspect and that they were concerned about fraud. 3. That because I have had overdrafts in my account, they had to put an additional 7 day hold on my account, or until the funds are deposited in my account. 4. They couldnt accept an online bank record showing the xxxx debited/check image so I should contact business bank for a copy of endorsed check on bank letterhead?
None of this made any sense, especially because everyone has proof that they check cleared.
Later, I was told by the manager at the local branch that she would call xxxx bank tomorrow to try and verbally verify that the check cleared and then she would release the funds ... .after she saw the copy of the cleared check with my signature.
So I contacted customers service and spent 4 hours in total being put on hold, sometime spoken to condescendingly, lied to and patronized by various telephone bankers.
The end result-Ultimately the money is still in limbo and I will continue to be overdrawn, until they fix this. I have a dd coming in a day or two that will be completely eaten up due to this.. if it is not immediately fixed. I have been humiliated due to their misinformation, and in addition to an immediate release of the check funds, I have asked for an apology letter/bank error letter that I can send to both the EEOC and the settlement company.

Complaint: I contacted Wells Fargo initially some time last year to apply for a deed in lieu on my home. That ended up timing out, because I was not able to find the right personnel at XXXX XXXX to help me. I then reached out to the president of XXXX XXXX who graciously took his time to personally email me and then connected me with an executive who has been tremendous in trying to help me get this deed in lieu executed as they hold the second mortgage on my home and I needed them to sign off on accepting XXXX as payment and waiving any deificency. Since I had ran out of time the last time, I made sure I knew the exact process and exact people to talk to at XXXX this time. Turns out that did not matter as Wells Fargo has now as they have to me in the past -lied and not worked with me at all-they just drag their feet-take days to respond unless I incessantly email and now my extension from XXXX expired on the XXXX. I have been working with if you would call it that with XXXX XXXX at Wells Fargo- I have emailed her multiple times regarding this- i attempted calling once or twice but my calls were not returned and she seemed to at least respond to an email and with my schedule that worked anyway so that became our main source of correspondence. I applied for a deed in lieu and got approved. I only needed to get XXXX to furnish a letter stating they would acept the XXXX on a mortgage that holds a current balance of around XXXX and some change and that they would waive any deficiency-I supplied that. I was also told to vacate the home by XX/XX/XXXX-Me and my XXXX children left the house by XXXX XXXXthey sent me deed in lieu papers-in which they stated if I vacated by XX/XX/XXXX I would also receive relocation funds of $ XXXX.I did not understand why it was taking Wells so long to get the bids for final inspection. I kept emailing XXXX and kept getting the run around telling me she " escalated '' it though she told me this and then said the same thing a month later. I then asked her what it was for and she said bids to remove anything garbage and debris left- I had my house clear- i even hired a guy to help me clear out all the stuff. I kept emailing her as i was concerned because i had vacated on XX/XX/XXXX I was no longer aloud on the property and there the house sat-still waiting for the final inspection-there is an empty lot next to it, behind it and on the other side is a vacant house with workers and dumpsters at it- I wanted my house inspected when I left it in the condition I left it- I even scrubbed out my entire fridge and bathtub. I did not want to leave my house in bad shape for me or my neighbors. I kept getting the run around there too. Now when I saw the expiration on XXXX letter was expiring I reached out to XXXX eagain who then suggested i get a 30 day extension that is all I would need-XXXX thank God did-but if I did not reach out to XXXX she had and never has had any concern to my outcome. i have constantly been chasing XXXX around like I am her babysitter to get an answer sometimes waiting 3-4 days for a response-her answers are always the same - '' I wasnt in the office '' " I am escalating it '' etc. My last email was my concern that XXXX already extended it and it expired on the XXXX and they still had not sent the check-her response ( since i emailed her on the XXXX ) was XXXX, it is the XXXX not the XXXX ( but the XXXX falls on a Sunday ) and the last time i checked that was not a business day. I pressed her for a tracking number as i have an email from her saying it was overnighted n the XXXX-I finally told her I need a tracking number it is insane that if they truly mailed it I can not get one and if not I need to speak to a manager-she then responded that due to my previous emails she escalated ( she must love that word ) me to customer care and someone would reach out to me? Well, no one has and it is now the XXXX 4 days after my extension expired and i am now in danger of my second mortgage being charged off and Wells foreclosing on me due to no fault of my own. I tried to do the right thing-with XXXX kids it would have been much easier to stay there but I left when they asked -when last minute they were like no we need an address and a w4 ( though they had the documents for over a month ) and only asked as the deadline would expire- i furnished it -within hours-then they said no we need a 2018 one-I got that within 24 hours-I have done all they asked they have not held to their word once-they have no concern for me or my children- i fear they will never send the money to XXXX and i will never see my relocation funds I was promised. Here are the dates of all my emails to XXXX ( which I will print out and attach ) I hope I did not miss any as there were alot if it looks like you are missing one please let me know and I also attached a copy of the deed in lieu agreement- I also tried to reach out to an executive of Wells on XXXX because that is how I got to correspond with the president of XXXX but the guy at Wells ignored me and my message Dates of emails XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I also asked XXXX what debris was left there that they needed a final bid on she never answered the question

Deposits and withdrawals
Complaint: I opened the account based on a promotion : Qualifications to receive {$400.00} Welcome Bonus - within 150 days of account opening, receive a cumulative monthly total of {$3000.00} or more in qualifying direct deposits to the checking account opened for this bonus offer for three consecutive months.
I travel abroad and upon calling Wells Fargo, they would not allow me access to reissue direct deposit after my depositor stated they had to have a letter directly from them.
So the deposits were unable to be set up until beginning of XXXX. But this was after calling Wells Fargo, and them repeatedly denying my inquiries. Also, blocks on accessing their website from outside the U.S. presumably. I explained to the agent that my promotion required my direct deposits but he said that I needed to come into a bank branch which is physically impossible.
Still, I deposited values, equaling over {$29000.00} during the months of XXXX, XXXX and XXXX, which meets the requirements for deposits within 150 days over 3 consecutive months. The bank representative XXXX XXXX in customer care at first told me that they were not made within first 3 months ( not as promotion period stated ). When I corrected her that I had until XX/XX/XXXX to be within 150 days, she stated that {$3000.00} was not made in XXXX, but the promotion states cumulative monthly total, and she refused to honor it.
To beware : 1- Wells Fargo prevented me from setting up direct deposit through their " safety measures '' while I was out of the country, disallowing me from quickly satisfying terms.
2- Wells Fargo read an absolute ( or partial ) sum of one month to say I did not qualify, instead of the cumulative sum that they placed in their offer.
This is misleading and very regrettable, and I hope to advise others to not fall into a promotion that they do not intend to give.
