Complaint: For the second time Wells Fargo today, XX/XX/19, placed a hold on a local check that I get from the same person, same account, same amount, each month, since I have been with WF, about 2 years. This same monthly check from the same bank account for exactly same amount has NEVER returned. I have had checking overdrafts unfortunately but have overdraft protection. Last hold was three months ago.WF held deposit -same checking account as today & same amount & same source- from local bank for TEN days. Main complaint : WF doesnt warn you of the hold until after you have endorsed the mobile check as being payable to WF only.THEN comes the warning about the 10 day hold., TOO LATE! CHECK ALREADY ENDORSED! I cant back out so no warning at all. Never have deposited a bad check. Check from local bank, less than {$800.00}, always clears, no issues from past depositing.

Problem using a debit or ATM card
Complaint: I received emails from my bank, Wells Fargo on XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX each stating that my replacement debit cards were being mailed out. These emails stated the card were expiring but only one was due to expire in XXXX. I called concerned because when i established my bank accounts with them years ago, the banker opened 4 more accounts without my authorization, which I closed immediately. However, I continue to have issues over the years.
My new debit card came and attached letter stated this card replaces card number ending in XXXX. I do not have a card ending in this number. I called again on XX/XX/XXXX and the rep I talked to researched my concerns and after long holds, she informed me that these debit cards were in fact associated to those other accounts that were closed and supposed to be deleted from my profile. But now the debit cards are somehow associated to my open checking accounts. She stated to not activate and cut these cards up. She also gave me case # and said someone will be handling on an escalated investigation as to why these debit cards from those accounts are still being replaced by ATM services and how they are associated to my open checking accounts.
When I called XX/XX/XXXX to find out why I have not heard from a case manager, the rep in the Executive Office simply stated she sees nothing associated to any " closed accounts '' and these were my debit cards being replaced because mine were supposedly compromised so they " took security measures to replace ''. I explained to her my previous conversation with the rep on XX/XX/XXXX and she said she doesnt know how she saw that. She said you can go ahead and activate or not activate the cards. I explained that I am extremely upset and thishas occurred before with these accounts that were open without my knowledge and that they are obviously not closed out properly if I am still getting debit card replacements for these. I also dont understand why the debit cards are tied to my checking and savings accounts now that are active.

Complaint: To Whom It May Concern : Please, please help!!!
I have gone back and forth with WELLS FARGO DEALER SERVICES over an issue that they will NOT remove from our credit.
They erroneously reported an auto-loan charge-off to all three agencies that is NOT CORRECT.
I have attempted to resolve this with XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX by submitting a separate dispute to each one with explanation of what happened.
They all went back to WELLS FARGO, who simply re-affirmed the charge-off. This all was over a supposed balance of {$15.00} that we were never notified of, never aware of, and is now negatively impacting our credit, our interest rates that are on our current credit, and ability to finance anything. It actually also DECREASED our line of credit with two cards and closed another ( that had a {$0.00} balance ) making our unsecured debt reflect at a much higher ratio.
I have exhausted my time and energy on this and now have no recourse.
Wednesday, after speaking ONCE again with WELLS FARGO DEALER SERVICES, they said that they would not and could not remove it from our credit. ( XX/XX/XXXX ) Issues and Requested Resolution : Issue 1 : On credit reports, account shows no payment for 3 months ( XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX ) which makes no sense. The accident happened and was fully paid off by our insurance company XXXX by XX/XX/XXXX. If the account was paid off by our insurance company in XX/XX/XXXX, then why did Wells start asserting in XX/XX/XXXX that we were late on a payment and then keep that up for 3 months prior to their supposed charge-off?
Issue 2 : Where is the mysterious {$15.00} coming from?
Issue 3 : Never Contacted : Wells Fargo never contacted us by phone or mail regarding an outstanding balance. We had no idea that was an issue until we checked our credit reports in XX/XX/XXXX.
Neither I nor our insurance company made any payments to Wells past XX/XX/XXXX when the entire debt was settled. This is erroneous and unfairly damaging our credit.
Issue 4 : After we filed with XXXX, our insurance provider, there were many emails and conversations with the adjuster. During the entire period of the loan, we maintained gap insurance with XXXX. Indeed, XXXX paid the GAP insurance on this car since we had the coverage. At the same time during the period of the loan, Wells Fargo Dealer Services was charging us without our consent or notification, for collateral protection monthly which means that we were paying our insurance company and Wells Fargo for the same effective coverage. Wells Fargo simply added this cost onto our auto draft without talking to us or explaining. It is unclear if these charges were ever properly reversed and applied to our account.
Issue 5 : Never Contacted : Wells Fargo never contacted us by phone or mail regarding an outstanding balance. We had no idea that was an issue until we checked our credit reports in XX/XX/XXXX.
Issue 6 : Reached out to Wells Fargo on Monday, XX/XX/XXXX and was transferred five times, finally ending with a woman named XXXX who informed us that there was nothing that we could do to rectify the situation because this was a charge off.
We spoke with them again on XX/XX/XXXX. We then spoke to XXXX XXXX who referred us back to Wells Fargo.
Followed up with WELLS FARGO again XX/XX/XXXX and was referred to the Office of the President o CFPT spoke with and was told once again there was nothing they could do.
Requested Resolution : WELLS FARGO DEALER SERVICES SHOULD REMOVE THIS CHARGE AND ENSURE THAT IT DOES NOT SHOW UP ON OUR CREDIT REPORTS. Given the numerous reporting inconsistencies and inaccuracies, we respectfully request that this accounts Collection status be updated As Agreed to properly and accurately reflect this account. All 30,60, 90 day lates showing should also be removed. All notes reflecting lates, charge offs, etc. should be removed. This should then be reported to all three credit reporting agencies, and there should be NO auto-loan charge off on any credit report.

Complaint: I am reaching out in hopes that someone who is reading this can try and help me in my unique situation. I am stuck in a hard spot where my ex-husband is required to sign a paper that the lender is requesting but I cant provide it because of the toxic relationship between my ex-husband and I.
My lender is requesting a quitclaim document after they previously approved me for a modification and trial payments using only the income information I provided on my behalf. I am officially divorced from my ex-husband and have an official decree, but they are still demanding the document. My ex-husband and I have a non-existent relationship ; I am the sole provider and have been paying for the home since our divorce without any help from him. He hates me and has previously tried to cancel my plans for a loan modification. Again, I was previously approved for trial payments and a modification with just my information, but now they are still demanding the documents even though I have explained the situation. For example, I spoke with XXXX XXXX of Wells Fargo home loan department on XX/XX/2019 and he informed me that I could accept the trial modification, which I did, and that I did not need to do anything else at that time except formally accept the trial modification. Then on XX/XX/2019 I received a request for a quit claim document and divorce decree signed by my ex-husband, who has not been involved with this process at all.

Company closed your account
Complaint: I opened a XXXX XXXX Account that also included a Savings Account. The checking account was advertised to me as a no fee checking account that also included a savings account as part of the package. When I first tried signing up, through the XXXX XXXX, I was told I needed to go to a Wells Fargo Branch and bring identity documents to verify myself. After going to the Wells Fargo branch I was told by the Banker that Greenhouse Accounts are not serviced by Wells Fargo and is in fact a completely separate from Wells Fargo banking. The banker verified my information, and I was able to get approved for the XXXX accounts after applying again through the App. I funded my new XXXX XXXX account with my debit card in the amount of {$50.00}. Before I even received my Debit Card for the new checking accounts, I received notification that my accounts would be closed, and to contact a department for more information. I contacted the department shown on the letter and tried to find out what the problem was so that I could resolve the issue, but was not able to obtain any information regarding the reason for closure. I kept getting bounced back and forth between the Fraud Department and Loss Prevention Department which were both utterly clueless about my account statuses. Eventually I was able to speak with someone who simply informed me that my accounts were closed as a business decision and that the bank could close my account at any time with or without reason. This adverse action for no reason provided seemed unjustified, especially after I had gone through the trouble of going into the branch to present the identity documents that they requested from me, which included my Drivers License and a birth certificate. The bank knew who I was, and they even approved me for the accounts after they had properly identified me. Due to the situation not making any sense to me, I inquired with the bank whether the reason for closure is due to possible fraud, or fraud related issues that I was not aware of, to which the banker simply confirmed again that no further information is available and that the closure was a business decision. I asserted that the bank was being XXXX, and I asserted that there is must be some kind of fraud that caused this closure and that the adverse action being taken by the bank is unfair. The bank did not deny my claims, and further insisted that the bank can close my accounts for any reason with or without notice. Wells Fargo 's poor decision to close my account without reason, has also led them to close my credit card with Wells Fargo. This action taken by Wells Fargo has negatively impacted my financial well being and hurt my credit profile. I never would have signed up for the XXXX accounts if I had known that my accounts would be closed for no reason and that upon closure of those checking accounts that my credit card with Wells Fargo would also be affected in the same manner. I did nothing wrong and even went through the trouble of obtaining a new birth certificate just so that the bank could properly identify me, even though I have an existing relationship with the bank already. Prior to opening the fee free XXXX checking accounts I had an active auto loan and credit card with the bank. My search for a fee free checking account led me to open the XXXX Checking accounts, but all I received in return is closure of the checking accounts and to further add insult to injury they also closed my Credit Card with Wells Fargo. The checking account I opened has nothing to do with my credit, but Wells Fargo crossed the line when they decided to close my credit card along with the newly opened checking accounts I had opened. I wouldn't be filing this complaint if they had not closed my credit card after unfairly deciding to close my checking accounts when I havent even had a chance to use it. I feel like I was deceived by the bank and baited into a trap that only harmed me and had not benefitted me at all. Wells Fargo already has a pretty bad reputation after their last scandal, but I gave them a chance to prove themselves and this is how they decide to royally XXXX me over. I don't accept this outcome, and I want my accounts to be reopened so I have the chance to experience the services that I signed up for and I want my credit card to be reinstated because its closure is completely unwarranted. If Wells Fargo refuses to reopen my closed accounts I want a valid reason to be provided other than " it was a business decision ''. " It was a business decision '' is nothing more than a cover up excuse to closing my account for XXXX reasons, or biased decision making. It is unacceptable, and CFPB should not allow this bank to continue such shady business practices.
