Complaint: Wells Fargo has apparently been charging us " late '' fees that are actually " early '' fees because we are paying too early. We set up auto pay to be synced to my wife 's pay cycle, but Well 's Fargo decided this was too early in the month so just started racking up {$35.00} fees without any correspondence or notification of an issue. Is this legal? We have many consumer credit accounts and no one has ever penalized us for paying too early.

I left several messages and nobody called me to give me the status of my mortgage even my appeal or the status of my modification. I even called XXXX, an associate who is familiar with the case and she never responded to my calls. In a letter dated on XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX mentioned that the house was inactive foreclosure and there was no sale date. According to GA court record, the house is scheduled to be sold on XXXX XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX. I have submitted the requested paperwork which was the IRS Tax XX/XX/XXXX with schedule E showing the house was not rented for the year XX/XX/XXXX. This is the key item for the bank to approve the modification ... In addition, a termite bound and my driver license were enclosed for her review. I am still waiting for a decision to move forward and nobody care to call or to answer my question. I believe that it is a deliberate practice for denying my modification. Furthermore, Wells Fargo had received Tax Payers moneys to allow all american to receive a modification. The playing field has not been level since the bank made it so difficult to receive a modification. The people in my community complained about the banks practices to deny minorities modification to keep their houses. I am not alone in my neighborhood. This is not my XXXX complaint about Wells Fargo practices for ignoring my calls. It is with intent.

Complaint: In 2005, we took out what we thought was a loan from the XXXX. XXXX heating and air conditioning company for a new furnace, air conditioner and ventilation system for our house and new addition to the house. This loan was serviced by Well Fargo Financial National bank. My husband got sick and our financial situation changed as it did for so many other families. The XXXX year of the loan, I paid the interest. As our financial situation changed it became difficult to make payments. I called the company to ask for a balance liquidation, but was only offered a " re-age '' program to get current. Some of the employees at the bank were unwilling to help and spoke to me in a condescending manner as evidenced by their recordings. I have since paid the debt, but was never sure if it was a loan or a credit card. The original amount of the loan was for {$10000.00} and I was charged an interest rate of 17.90 % with a monthly payment of {$290.00}. If it was a loan then the interest should have been included in the monthly payment and if it was a credit card, then the monthly payment should have decreased. I was constantly charged the interest and the monthly payment remained the same for the duration of the loan. I would like the return of the interest money and late fees in addition the correction on my credit report as " paid in full in good standing ''.

Complaint: I received an email from Wells Fargo Bank stating that my online password was disabled since it was entered incorrectly XXXX times. This must have been done by someone other than myself. I tried to reset it online but this was unsuccessful so I called Customer Support. I was told that they would NOT be able to help me at all and that I must go to a branch. I live in XXXX XXXX so this is not practical for obvious reasons. The call was escalated and I was told the same thing. I have now left a voice message for the XXXX level and have been told not to expect a call for the next 2 days! I also reached out to XXXXXXXXXXXX and this group responded with the same responce. I have been a Wells Fargo customer for about 15 years and am shocked that I am now unable to access my account which is active. I need someone who can actually resolve it rather than repeating company policy. I am very concerned since there are automatic withdrawals from my checking account and a VISA account that need to be maintained.

Complaint: I paid my credit card bill on the due date of XXXX/XXXX/2015 in the amount of {$210.00}, which Wells Fargo took out of my XXXX Checking account immediately overnight. The next thing I find out is that they put a XXXX day hold on my XXXX charge card, saying they never received the {$210.00} because my account was overdrawn. I have overdraft protection at XXXX and I paid the {$32.00} overdraft fee when Wells Fargo got their {$210.00} payment. XXXX faxed over a letter to Wells Fargo stating that they did get their {$210.00} payment, but Wells Fargo is refusing to believe them. They are still trying to tell me the payment has not cleared, even though they took the {$210.00} already.

Complaint: Dear Sirs, XXXX XXXX, XXXXWe are writing this letter to file a complaint against Wells Fargo home mortgage loan officer, XXXX XXXX. Wells Fargo is the builder 's preferred lender and she is the dedicated loan officer. Over the life of the application process, she had verbally promised and guaranteed us many times that she would get the loan for us in time in order to close the escrow on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. We placed all our trust on her until noontime of the Friday, XXXX XXXX, which was the deadline issued by the builder. We had informed her through a final e-mail we sent to her on XXXX XXXX around XXXX. ( See the attachment ) We did not hear back from her until XXXX on XXXX XXXX. Obviously, we missed the deadline ( {$1000.00} penalty ). Plus, we lost all faith in her abilities since we did not receive any timely or a scheduled update on the loan progress. We called her XXXX between XXXX-XXXX on XXXX XXXX. The XXXX one she did n't answer and the XXXX one she answered but said she would call us back, but she did n't call us back until XXXX. To avoid from paying the late closing penalty {$500.00} per day ( the rule imposed by the builder ), we finally decided to give up on XXXX and Wells Fargo, and tried to close the escrow with cash and some third party funds that we borrowed ( but with high interest rate ). We were only short of {$330000.00}. So at XXXX we decided to borrow a fast loan from XXXX as a bridge ( third party ) loan. This cost us {$5000.00} ( see the attachment, {$5000.00} processing fee plus 10 % interest ). Between XXXX-XXXX, we drew up XXXX cashier 's checks, signed and notarized the lending forms from XXXX, and tried to get to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Even with our tremendous efforts, we still ended up paying {$1000.00} penalty to XXXX because the {$330000.00} could only be arranged by the next business day ( Monday ). Thus, if this process started on Thursday, then we would have been able to record the closing by XXXX. What we are trying to say is, we would have planned this out better if -- 1. XXXX gave us constant update such as XXXX every 2 hours, instead of 1-8 hours or more, and/or2. XXXX gave us some indication on Thursday XXXX or Friday XXXX that she is not going to be able to come through. If we had an idea of the likelihood of it coming thru on Thursday, then we would have gotten this hot money prepared for Friday. When we talked to XXXX on Friday XXXX at XXXX, we were still under the impression that we could make the XXXX deadline, since she said Wells Fargo just needed the Appraisal Department to conduct a quick rental survey on the XXXX properties we have. Instead, we did not hear back from her until Friday XXXX. Even though we had left numerous voicemails and emails on her system. Further evidence that XXXX did not keep her client confidentiality private. She openly discussed the case with the seller 's agent. In conclusion, XXXX was the preferred lender for XXXX XXXX and she had issued us XXXX pre-qualified letters for the XXXX lotteries we joined ( XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX ). There should be no reason for us not to get a loan in time. She has known our financial status since XXXX, and we had worked with her for over one year. Last but not least, XXXX was trying to do a much bigger loan than we wanted or needed. We told her at least XXXX times ( both in verbal and written ) that we only wanted to do a loan of XXXX or less than $ XXXX. Her greed of urging to get a bigger commission caused her failure on this loan process.

Complaint: I applied a mortgage from Wells Forgo in XXXX 2015. It has been a painful two months until I finally got the approval, as they asked excessive documents. Most of them were either trivial or irrelevant, as I have a perfect risk profile, with XXXX FICO, an income more than XXXX times of the monthly mortgage payment, no other debt, and was willing to pay more than 30 % as down payment. I complained to the loan officer several times, and each time WF cameback to ask for more unnecessary documents. Those included : my paystubs from XXXX years ago, all my bank and investment account statements back from 6 months ago ( totally more than XXXX of them ), explanation on every {$1000.00} dollar transfer between my bank accounts, and most ridiculously, proof of residence for some place I lived more than 15 years ago. I have also been asked for my intention for every my credit bureau inquiry in the past year. Overall, it seemed that they were conducting a criminal investigation instead of underwriting a loan. However, it became evident that they never looked at all the documents, as they had asked for some of them repeatedly, sometimes XXXX times during the process. Overall I have submitted more than XXXX pieces of documents and it cost me dozens of hours to prepare them. I am relatively financial savvy and very careful about documentation, and even so, the process took almost XXXX months and we nearly missed the closing date. During the XXXX months I have repeatedly asked to talk to the underwriter for her rationale to ask for so much documentation, but never got a response other than more requests. In my opinion, whether intentional from Wells Fargo or not, this cumbersome underwriting process has created a barrier for applicants with good risk profile to qualify for mortgages. It will be up to CPFB to decide, whether this practice is across the board, or only targets minority customers like myself. I have filed a complaint directly with Wells Fargo, but only received a plain vanilla response letter saying they have done nothing wrong. This was totally unsatisfactory and therefore I am filing this complaint to CFPB.

Complaint: I had an account with Wells Fargo in XXXX, CA ( on XXXX XXXX ) a year or two ago and closed it after noticing on my statements that the bank was charging me {$100.00} every time the Department of XXXX XXXX XXXX asked them to fill out a form regarding my account. The bank received XXXX of these requests in a XXXX month period-my statement was reading that I was overdrawn -- by a lot. I do n't feel it should be an expense of mine-I was not informed, anywhere in the paperwork they give you when opening a new account, that I would acquire this fee upon any paperwork needing to be completed regarding me or my account. I recently tried to open a bank account at the local bank in my area and was denied because of this situation. On the statement the bank handed me when denied, it reads that it was my fault : {$250.00} and reason for account closure is " Account Abuse ''. This is not right on so many levels.
