Complaint: I had a payment due for a line of credit from a furniture store, I had to pay off the balance before the end of a 6 month special financing. I mailed the check 15 days before the due date for the full remaining balance, now on my latest statement, it says the payment was late, almost 20 days after I mailed it. so now I am subject to a late fee, which will then cause there to be an outstanding balance, where they then will charge me the exorbitant amount in interest on my entire balance at time of purchase. I have made every payment on time or early and my balance would have been paid in full had they not intentionally sat on the check until it was late.

Complaint: Through Wells Fargo Mortgage we applied for a pre-qualification letter to get a mortgage for {$35000.00}. on a conventional loan for investment. We have all the monies in a Chase account for the 20 % down payment and Closing. They have approved our income, but state that some of the monies are going into our Wells Fargo personal account from our Wells Fargo business account and this was a problem for them and want me to liquidate {$17000.00}. in funds from a retirement account which would involve up to 30 % in taxes penalties and fees. An appraisal was done already and I was not advised of any problems prior to spending the money for the appraisal. We also have plane tickets that are not refundable. The money for the down payment and closing costs for this purchase came from the sale of o condominium in XX/XX/XXXX and sale of a house ( financed by Wells Fargo ) in XX/XX/XXXX lessoning my monthly payments by over {$2000.00} Now I am looking for a mortgage that will be about {$1000.00}. per month. I pre-qualified with XXXX XXXX at the same time but decided on Wells Fargo because we have been banking with them for years. I do n't believe they are following guidelines while processing my request. If they do not approve this loan I would like to find out how to get reimbursed for my expenses which are several thousand dollars are this point. I feel they have taken way to long in coming to their decisions which are not final at this point.

Complaint: Dear CFPB, I have lived in the XXXX XXXX area for the last 30 years and strive to be a good citizen. I vote, pay my taxes, and am an active member in the community. I really enjoy where I live, but am in a situation where I may lose my house to foreclosure. I have been trying to work with my mortgage servicer, Wells Fargo, but they are failing to communicate properly and are not providing me an opportunity to pursue retention options. They have never given me a single point of contact who would return any of my calls, and now I have a foreclosure sale scheduled for XXXX XXXX. My discussions with them have stalled and I am hoping you can contact them and open a line of communication that leads to a constructive conversation regarding my mortgage and the pending foreclosure sale. I have worked for many years in XXXX. I never had any problems or issues financially until I had a horrific traumatizing experience : my XXXX year old son passed away. This experience was devastating, setting me back emotionally, physically and financially. You know that saying when it rains it pours? My child support ended, my XXXX husband could not endure the crisis and left me and filed for divorce, and then I struggled to find a job while still grieving. As a result, I could not keep up with my mortgage and fell behind on my loan payments. I reached out to Wells Fargo to negotiate a repayment plan or a loan modification, but I could not get anywhere. I was so frustrated!!! I tried to make a partial payment, but they sent the payments back and told me I had to pay all the arrears in full!! I gave up trying to deal with them until I got somewhat established financially. I inquired again in 2014, but was told over the phone the same thing again ( that I had to pay the arrears in full ). I decided to try anyway and applied for a modification and got denied a couple of months ago. However, I was never given any alternative options to save my home or appeal the decision. I have to continually try to explain my position to the representatives who answer the phone, but I ca n't seem to get any answers from them. They flat out have been lying to me throughout this process, telling me that they want to help and that falling further behind actually makes a better case for modification, and then denying me any help saying that I 'm too far behind. They have essentially slammed the door on communicating with me. I just need someone at Wells Fargo to speak with me and give me reasonable options to save my home. This is an avoidable foreclosure and I believe I qualify for help if Wells Fargo would come to the table and have a constructive conversation. I would like to see if you could contact them on my behalf and get them to speak to me in an attempt to save my home from foreclosure and give me a proper review for retention options. I would be grateful for your effort

I checked my checking account XXXX/XXXX/2015 to find my refund from my credit company has been put into my savings account, which was suppose to go to my checking account! My credit card company does not have my savings account number nor did I give it to them, I have proof. This tells me that someone at Wells Fargo Bank is fraudulently going into my account posting transactions and taking money out. PLEASE HELP ME AND FIND OUT WHO IS DOING THIS!

Complaint: Purchased my home for XXXX in XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and Wells Fargo has my mortgage loan. Interest rates were above 5.75 % and in XXXX was able to refi at XXXX. I was told it was under HARP? Now, that rates have dropped again ; I contacted Wells Fargo and an agent quoted me 3.87 % on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX ; loan balance was XXXX. After turning in numerous documents, tax reports etc., I was denied due to " debt to income '' being above XXXX %. The loan payment is {$1600.00} and the balance as of today is {$290000.00}. PAYMENTS HAVE NEVER BEEN LATE. PROPERTY TAXES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PAID ON-TIME. PROPERTY VALUE IS XXXX. My income comes from Social Security, XXXX XXXX and City of XXXX thru XXXX XXXX who handles my required minimum distribution ( RMD ) which this year was $ XXXX+ with a balance of {$98000.00}. I showed proof of ability to increase my income by increasing the XXXX but was denied. By lowering the interest rate from 4.75 % to 3.87 % INCREASES my income by $ XXXX+ monthly. Please help. The major negative in my credit is a " shortsale '' of a Florida property that I bought in XXXX with XXXX ; that turned out to be a MAJOR financial loss for me. The property sold in XXXX. I DO N'T WANT ANY CASH OUT!

Complaint: I have a XXXX mortgage on my house from Wells Fargo that started in XXXX and the interest rate is 8.25 %. The mortgage came with the purchase of the house. In order for them to consider me for loan adjustment I was placed with I started working with them in XXXX, and as of this time, have spent countless hours in supplying information etc with no progress. I always pay by phone my monthly payment of {$730.00}, it is important for my credit rating since I am a small business owner and ca n't afford the hits to my credit. Back on XXXX XXXX XXXX, I called in to make a payment as I usually do. Wells Fargo has my account # and routing # on file since I pay by phone every month. This month I was for some unspecified reason sent to someone who did not have that information, which came as a surprise. I supplied it. I was given a confirmation number and sent a letter saying I made the payment. The letter indicated that the payment has been made and the funds were applied to the account. The letter was quite specific the funds had been paid and there were no qualifiers. Wells Fargo said they were unable to apply it due to incorrect accounting number but they had this number in file. Wells Fargo admits that they made no attempt to contact me that there was a problem with payment and they did not ever inform me that a payment had not been made. They admit that the only letter that was sent out stated that " payment was made and everything with the loan was fine ''. At end of month I was hit with a 30-day late on my credit report. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I called to make another payment on the account of the same amount. Since the XXXX payment did not go through, this payment paid the prior month 's payment. Wells Fargo never informed me that there was any problems with the account when I made the payment. I asked them specifically if there was a problem with the account and they said " no ''. Later when I asked there executives why I was not informed at this time the response I received is they were no obligated to. I received a letter from Wells Fargo confirming the payment on XXXX XXXX had beenmade with no mention of a delinquent status. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I received a notice from a credit monitoring company, not Wells Fargo, that my credit had been adversary hurt due to reporting from Wells Fargo, I immediately called from Wells Fargo Bank to find out the payment and was notified by that I was late on the payment. I immediately paid on the account that was 33 days overdue. The mistake in entering the incorrect routing number or account number and not notifying me of the account becoming delinquent by Wells Fargo, but instead notifying me that everything was fine with the payment, has caused me financial harm. A loan for the expansion of my business was declined solely because of the thirty-day delinquent status reported by Wells Fargo. I asked Wells Fargo the first week of XXXX to research this issue. I was ignored for months in the hope that maybe I would go away. Finally, I found XXXX XXXX at the Executive Branch. he was helpful to get the process rolling and he told me if it was up to him he would remove the 30-day hits to the my credit report. But no matter what the circumstances Wells Fargo has no choice but to report these 30-day lates, it was mandated by the Federal Government. So here I am with you asking for help in having these unwarranted hits to my credit removed from my report. Wells Fargo blamed you for having to do it.

Complaint: In late 2014 we listed our home for shot sale, for our medical and financial situation. Through our agent, we contacted Well Fargo HELOC and spoke with XXXX XXXX XXXX concerning the XXXX mortgage. First, for nearly XXXX months we provided XXXX XXXX with everything he asked for ; such as, XXXX, contract sale, and payoff amount from the XXXX mortgage, and he never gave us an answer until XXXX days before the house goes up for foreclosure. Second his lack of communication made the situation very stressful for us, and he became an iron steel gate that stop any progress from going forward. Third XXXX XXXX received copies of the foreclosure notice, and all the information that he requested from the buyer. Finally, his delayed causes major financial hardship, and XXXX for both us because one of us is XXXX.

Complaint: I have XXXX overdraft fees from Wells Fargo. I am a XXXX XXXX and have been taken advantage of because of my age. I used a Pay Pal card to make XXXX purchases. I didnt realize that the XXXX card did not have sufficient funds so it was debited directly from my Wells Fargo account. XXXX transactions which incurred overdraft fees. I have never requested or felt the need to request an overturn or courtesy reversal of fees but i have no choice. I called and XXXX representatives and a manger who i requested to speak to claimed that Wells Fargo does not have any courtesy refunds for customers. I am XXXX man with little income and have been a good customer to Wells Fargo. This is an outrage! I went inot the banking center and they claimed that the banking center did not have a manager and no none could help me. Are they serious?? Please i ask that you the CFPB look into this and help me out.

Stupid of me I thought they would sent a check to the park and take the money out of my account when the check was cashed.But no they are kiting checks for bill pay customers they take the money out of our accounts and hold it till the check comes back to them.that 's not right times XXXX of bill pay customers and the are making a tidy sum of money by using our money for XXXX to 6 days.come to the XXXX and they take out the {$400.00} rent check which their was n't their so another {$35.00} overdraft fee of {$35.00} .now the I did go on line to bill pay and I hit the button to cancel the {$400.00} rent payment which they said could be canceled up until the time the check was cashed and for some unknown reason to me or XXXX XXXX XXXX their ebill came in on the XXXX instead of the the XXXX like it had been since XXXX I called XXXX and talked to a XXXX then electronically reversed and said she would sent them an Email stating that some how a mistake was made and the would resubmit the payment on the XXXX so as to keep me from having another overdraft fee.I went on line and their was {$26.00} dollars in checking account and they had put back the {$7.00} into my savings account. so my little Pension check For {$450.00} had been eaten up by overdraft fees and the rent check for {$400.00} so i went to XXXX the store and got cigarettes for {$4.00} and another {$7.00} for pet supplies at another store and on to the grocery store and figured I had about {$14.00} left in checking so purchased Items totaling XXXX and was embarrassed that my debit card was declined I had {$10.00} i paid that and put on my debit card {$1.00} which was accepted.I get home I got XXXX overdraft.
