Complaint: The company is Toyota Financing. They have me reported 30 days late for XXXX & XX/XX/XXXX. On both instances I spoke with a representative and they assured me that I would not be marked late. I have had trouble with them previously when I had my last XXXX when they reported me late in error and then removed the lateness.
The 2 late payments was removed and then all of a sudden put back on my credit report and I noticed it when I went to apply for a house loan and they stated you have late payments on your credit report. I am very frustrated with this organization and really wish I could turn this car in and not have to deal with them going forward.
I was also discriminated against on a phone call not to recently ago when contacting Toyota the lady was very rude and talked down to me.
As a result of these mistakes one of my credit cards went from a credit limit of XXXX to XXXX. I really need to be compensated for this issues and really wish I did not have to deal with them anymore constant mistakes over and over again. I hope this shines a light on them.
All three credit reporting agencies are reporting the lateness despite my disputes.
They are also reporting my XXXX XXXX when that car has been sold already.

So my next bill was not due until XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX my credit score dropped 24 points for non payment of XX/XX/XXXX which was not due yet. I called Toyota and they told me they did not report false information and I need to handle it with XXXX myself. Then on XX/XX/XXXX I made my payment days before it was due. In XX/XX/XXXX toyota again reported again that I am late and my score dropped an additional 80 points. I have all my documents to prove my side. I was in the process of buying a house, which I had to put on hold because of the dramatic drop in my credit score.

Complaint: I messaged Toyota XX/XX/XXXX advising them that I had a XXXX baby and due to unexpected financial expenses and out of pocket medical cost that arose due to this XXXX birth I was going to be late on my payment. The message follows : Hello, I will be submitting a XXXX XXXX dollar payment XX/XX/XXXX. I will be submitting an additional XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. This will cover XX/XX/XXXX payment and XXXX of XX/XX/XXXXpayment with the following XXXX to complete XX/XX/XXXXpayment to be paid XX/XX/XXXX. I have fallen behind because I had a XXXX baby born XX/XX/XXXX and had many out of pocket expenses that I needed to cover after the ordeal. '' I reached out to them again via the secured portal XX/XX/XXXX and they advised me to send all correspondences to XXXX XXXX, IA. There was nothing resolved in my request at this time either. I followed up with a certified letter XX/XX/XXXX, asking that these late fees be waived and again still nothing. I spoke with XXXX an agent at Toyota XX/XX/XXXX and she advised me to dispute with the credit bureaus. That was done and the bureaus directed me back to Toyota who provides the info.

Complaint: I have vehicle lease account with Toyota Financial Services that was properly paid for and closed on XX/XX/XXXX As I changed address after the account was closed, I did NOt receive any further communication from Toyota. But, I get a call from a credit collection agency, XXXX XXXX XXXX, onXX/XX/XXXX regarding a debt to Toyota. I requested a written notification, which they sent me on my new address. The bill was for : excessive wears and tears and a purported missing key for a total amount of {$700.00}. I contacted Toyota and disputed the missing key. Toyota told me the account was closed and that the additional debt was sold to the credit collection agency ; therefore I had to work it out with the collector. I contacted the collector over the phone and we agreed on the amount of {$490.00} to settle the debt. However, until now the original account is still appearing as " open '' with Toyota, with a debt of {$210.00}. I have been disputing that over the last 3 years, but XXXX keeps telling me that this is what Toyota reports to them. Each time I contacted Toyota at XXXX to request that they either : 1 ) report the account as " closed '' or 2 ) send me a bill in the mail with payment instructions. But, each time the department refused to do so nor will they provide the phone number of the department to contact. All, the tell me is to write to their collection department, which does NOT have a phone number! Worse, the phone number ( XXXX ) listed on the credit report does NOT belong to Toyota.

Complaint: The last week of XX/XX/XXXX I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX about deferring XX/XX/XXXX lease payment to the end of the lease agreement due to financial difficulties at the time. I was granted the deferral, and I was told by customer service that as long as the deferral agreement was received back in time ( XX/XX/XXXX ) that I would not receive a 30 day marker on my account. To begin, I was told the deferral agreement could not be sent through an email, but needed to be mailed to me. They spelled my address incorrectly, so it was delayed in getting to my residence. However, when I finally received the agreement, I sent it to XXXX along with a check for {$32.00}. They received the agreement and check prior to XX/XX/XXXX, and the deferral went through. However, when I went to get a pre-approval letter to purchase a home, I found out that XXXX had placed a 30 day derogatory mark on my credit. This mark is causing damages by increasing the interest rate on a new home that we are interested in. I contacted XXXX, and they are refusing to remove the marker even though I was told I would not receive a 30 day marker and their misspelling of my address delayed the deferral agreement. We fully paid off our lease in XX/XX/XXXX ; we owe nothing, so there would have been no point in going through a deferral unless it prevented the delinquent marker on our credit. The customer service I have received through XXXX has been extremely poor, and I feel that I have been tricked by them. I have been a customer with them for ten years and have always been current on my account. If this does not get resolved ; they have lost a customer and I will seek damages.

Complaint: I received a statement from Toyota Financial Services on XX/XX/XXXX showing that I only owed {$1.00} due XX/XX/XXXX. I called the company to see if this was correct. The lady I spoke with said yes the {$1.00} was an unpaid late fee which I am removing so you now have a {$0.00} balance. I also have the Toyota Financial Services APP on my phone and checked it again at the beginning of XXXX and it showed I had a {$0.00} balance. XXXX the XXXX I went in to make the XXXX payment due on XX/XX/XXXX still only showed I owed one payment. I went back in the app on XX/XX/XXXX to schedule the XXXX payment for the XXXX and noticed that I owed 2 payments. I called Toyota Financial Services right then to see what the problem was. The lady was very rude and absolutely no help. She said at the time I was now 9 days past due on the XXXX payment and I must pay it with the late fee. I explained to the lady what happened an again very rude. I called back a few days later during the day and got another lady that was absolutely no help. She proceeds to tell me the same thing the payment is due and there is nothing they can do for me. I advised that I always make my payments on time and would never wait 26 days before making a payment and there is no way I can come up with the 2 payments this month because I was definitely not prepared for that. Asked if they could defer the payment since it was there fault and she says no they cant do that. She said when I called in back in XXXX they noticed that something must not be right and looked into it then found the error in XXXX so the payment is due. I advised the lady that I understand that it's due, but it was there mistake so could they please defer it. She would not. I hung up with her and called back in today XX/XX/XXXX. I got another lady who is no help. She said it states in your contract that you have to make a payment each month. So its not our fault and you owe the payment, we can't do anything for you. She proceeds to ask when I will be making the next payment for my XXXX payment ( which should be for my XXXX payment ). I told her I will be making the XXXX payment on XX/XX/XXXX and then will be refinancing with another company. This is literally the worse place to do business with. I will never finance anything with this company again and something needs to be done with the way they do things and how they talk to people.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I returned the leased car to the dealer. I was contacted by Toyota financial services to pay the lease termination fee of {$370.00} On XX/XX/XXXX I did submit the full payment and I have a letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX plus my bank statement that shows the exact amount paid to Toyota financial services.
I havent received a letter to show that my account was closed and has XXXX balance, so Ive contacted Toyota financial services several times between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX and they keep telling me the same thing I still owe them the money and its soon to go to a collection agency. When I tell them that Ive already submitted my full payment on XX/XX/XXXX, they find it hidden somewhere in their system and they promise to settle the account and send me a letter but they never do. Today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I called them one more time and heard the same thing. I still owe them the money and when they look deeper they find my payment and promise to settle the account. Complaint: Toyota FInancial botched my lease return and then dinged my credit, sent threatening letters and after many hours on the phone, and back and forth - including filing a previous complaint here on CFPB finally acknowledged the car had been returned on time and all lease payments made. They retracted that credit organizations to restore my credit.
They have decided to get 'even ' by sending a threatening letter demanding collection of excess wear and tear fees ( which were already deducted as part of my purchase of a new vehicle in price negotiations ) - instead of just billing me after the long drawn out process they sent it directly to debt collection!
1. The letter sent misstates the date the car was returned : I returned the car before the lease was over on XX/XX/XXXX not XX/XX/XXXX as stated on their debt collection letter.
2. There are disposition fees and taxes added - which are all superfluous and were never stated in our lease contract 3. The letter said to get a condition report of the vehicle to go to XXXX. XXXX said to contact the leasing organization. The interior of the car was in pristine condition when I turned it into the dealer. What happened to it between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX I should not be responsible for.
4. My {$22000.00} new car has ended up costing {$32000.00} because of all the superfluous fees and the mishandling of the lease return - how can I make a budget with all this rip-off going on!

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX- I have leased Toyota Rav4 XXXX from XXXX XXXX in XXXX , NY . I have also returned my XXXX XXXX to the same dealer. On the same day, I have also made my first payment which is {$290.00} ( I have the proof and papers ). During this day when filling out the papers I have made sure to give my personal phone number to both XXXX XXXX, and Toyota Finance in case they reach out to me directly. I have also given my work number additionally on that day as well.
Mid- XX/XX/XXXX : I received excess wear bill {$230.00} and make the payment on XX/XX/XXXX to Toyota XXXX CA. Also, I can provide the statement from bank if needed. I also received my initial bill for the car 's second pay, indicating I must immediately pay the car 's first and second bill. I go online to email them, since I am available after XXXX EST during weekdays. I am not able to email them, because the account number stated on the bill that they sent is wrong. If you do not open an account with them, you can not email them. I also can not call them too, because I have a hectic schedule, working at a school, going to internship and being a XXXX XXXX. I am only available on Saturdays, which they are closed. I found out that my credit is now ruined due to not paying the excess wear pay and lease payments. I have never ever received a phone call to my personal number from XXXX XXXX, even though I have provided my cell number to them.
XX/XX/XXXX- I called the dealer for assistance couple of times. But the dealer had stated they are not affiliated with XXXX XXXX. I have called multiple times Toyota Financial, but the wait time is around 30-50 minutes. Meanwhile, I have NEVER received a phone call from Toyota Financial. ( All of my applications to Toyota Financial and XXXX XXXX include my cell phone. ) Reported this to Better Business Bureau thinking they might solve, but no answer from them either. ( I feel trapped ) XX/XX/XXXX- They have called my school when I was in a meeting with a student, and I found out that it is Toyota Financial calling my work place to request me. I had to hang up since I was with a student helping her with her college application process, and obviously that is my priority at that time since I get paid by tax payers to do that job at that moment, not to fix what Toyota Financials had ruined. I asked for a direct number to call so that I can fix this right away. I can not spend more than 10-15 minutes on wartime since I work at the school and XXXX XXXX wait time is around 30-50 minutes I can not use my lunch time. However, lunch time is the only time I can use to contact them since I take classes and have XXXX after my work. If Toyota was open after XXXX on weekdays, I would have definitely would not mind the 30-50 minutes wait time. The person on the phone refused to give a direct line and said that they have another cell phone on their system they had been calling and giving my confidential information to. I am not sure what phone it is, because I checked with the dealer and they stated they had my personal phone number on the applications. -which was correct.
Now, I have a ruined credit, even though I made the payments. I can not make the cars second and third payment, because the account number that they sent on the receipt is wrong. I also can not reach out to them through phone to fix all of this, because they don't answer. I can not email them because, you need an accurate email to open an account to email them. I am lost.
Once again, I can provide all the information including the wait times, my calling records from XXXX XXXX XXXX indicating I have NEVER received a phone call from them, my application that states the phone number I have given to Toyota, my initial payment to Toyota, and the bills from Toyota that has wrong account number.
Toyota can even check my previous history with them for three years, I have never delayed my payment with Toyota Rav4 XXXX car. Obviously, with this experience, I would never return to Toyota after this cars term is up. Integrity is important in a company that receives my payment.

Complaint: Previous Complaint # XXXX It is very unfortunate that Toyota Financial Services ( TFS ) is in such disastrous shape. Per my previous complaint stated above, I made a payment on XX/XX/XXXX and TFS CASHED IT. I have the copy of the cashed check and TFS has the copy of the CASHED CHECK. And my bank account is proof of payment made and cashed.
Now, TFS is claiming that the check was returned unpaid. That is NOT TRUE BECAUSE I HAD ENOUGH FUNDS TO MAKE THAT PAYMENT AND MY BANK ACCOUNT SHOWS THE FUNDS WERE CASHED BY TFS on XX/XX/XXXX, and there is SOMETHING CALLED PROOF OF PAYMENT - the CASHED CHECK with TFS endorsement.
I am sick and tired of wasting my valuable time on this company engaged in unlawful business practices and consumer harassment. How was the payment returned unpaid if the money is not in my account and the check is CASHED BY TFS? THERE IS AFTER ALL PROOF OF PAYMENT. In their response to my CFPB complaint TFS provided a phone number to call, but alas, when I called that number, the same transfer game began again ; the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. No one knows anything, and I was eventually transferred to XXXX XXXX.
In order to put an end to this, I made yet another payment to XXXX XXXX, XXXX ( the collection agency TFS transferred my account to ). On XX/XX/XXXX, at XXXX I spoke to XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX XXXX and made yet another payment towards my XXXX account # XXXX of {$970.00} ( this is a DUPLICATE PAYMENT, please note that ). XXXX XXXX advised that he would notify TFS immediately and send me a letter in the mail within 15 days stating that the account is paid in full and closed satisfactorily. He also stated that XXXX did not report negative information on our credits but TFS did.
Now, today, XX/XX/XXXX, I received a phone call from agitated co-signer of my TFS account # XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX who told me that once again TFS had reported a negative late charge in his otherwise spotless credit report. TFS did the same to me, once again. In their response TFS stated that if I didn't make a payment again within 10 days, they would report negative information with credit bureaus. I paid immediately, and here we go again. It hasn't been more than a day, and they reported it again ...
This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. Toyota Financial Services is involved in UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICES AND is abusing its customers like me and my co-signer.
They double charged me after all and still reported negative information.
I demand a response immediately. I will not call them again because they are unaware of anything.
I can not wait till my lease is over so I do not have to deal with this horrible business again. This is the last Toyota vehicle I am driving. I WILL NEVER LEASE OR PURCHASE TOYOTA AGAIN.
