Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX regarding my XX/XX/XXXX payment. I had made the payment prior to the loan going 30 days late. This was during the time of Hurricane Irma. I was made aware that my company 's direct deposit was not going to go through. When I contacted them, I stated that the payment was going to be returned and was asked if they can help with a forbearance for my XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX payments. At that point, I was informed that since the payment hadn't been returned yet, that I would have to wait and call back the next day. I called back the next day as instructed and asked them for the forbearance. When I called, the placed the forbearance on the wrong months. They placed it for XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. Based on my phone call with them on both the XX/XX/XXXX and the XX/XX/XXXX, I questioned and was ensured that there would not be any late markers placed on my credit report. I called back on the XX/XX/XXXX and they corrected the month of when the forbearance was supposed to go through. I again was assured that since I was in a disaster zone that they would not report any late payments to the bureaus. I have been actively trying to resolve this matter with them via disputes directly with the bureaus along with contacting them. I have been unsuccessful. Every time that I contact them, they are rude and state to file a dispute with the bureaus. This is a very unprofessional tactic to get a customer off the phone and waste yet another 30 days. If I file a dispute with the bureaus, this dispute goes back to them, only to have them not fix anything since I've gone this route. Twice.
The reps from Toyota stated that this was not an issue on their end and that they can not fix it. I've spoken with numerous individuals since then trying to rectify the problem.
Most recently, I contacted them with my loan officer. We were given the runaround up until we finally were connected with an individual by the name of XXXX in the Iowa call center. We asked that they listed to their phone calls that I made back in XX/XX/XXXX to hear that I was informed that there would be no affect on my credit score. We were informed that they don't have access to calls past 90 days. XXXX was able to confirm the calls made to them along with the notes that stipulated that there were such phone calls made. For the past eight business days, we have been told be XXXX that she'd be submitting it for review. XXXX stated that when it was submitted, it was turned down because they couldn't listed to the phone calls to verify that the information provided to me was an error on their end. Even though all the notes and dates of phone calls in their system match my story and were confirmed. They have had every opportunity to listed to these phone calls within that 90 day window based on the calls that I've made to them in that time frame.
XXXX had spoken to us last week on XX/XX/XXXX and we were told that she has forwarded it on to corporate to review since she also didn't agree with the fact that they weren't going to update the bureaus. I have called everyday since then and have been told that there is no response back yet.
I am in the process of purchasing a new home and this account has made it impossible to be approved for my mortgage. My closing has been pushed back because if it. I am in jeopardy of losing my deposit and having a place to live since my current residence is under contract.
I've exhausted every option to rectify this with them. I have yet to hear back and find it unfair and question the legality of the matter.

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: I am writing in reference to a car I purchased back on XX/XX/2011, financing done by Toyota Financial Services, XXXX TX. I voluntarily called and gave the car back because it was impossible for me to continue with the payments and fixing of the many problems that car had since the moment I bought it. I tried to return it using the Lemon Law but because the car had more than 8000 miles at the time I bought it didnt applied. After the warranty expired I had to go to XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX to have additional repairs done. I was told by this company that the amount of the repairs was going to exceed the first estimated I was given by them. At that time I had no choice but to call the financial company and request to have the car pick up at the body shop and have it voluntarily surrender by me.
I had to keep making the payments of my loan as you can see in the documents that I am attaching and just three months after I finished the last payment because I couldnt keep making them the same body shop took over the car as you can see in the Tag records that I am also attaching. The car since then had had many other owners ; proving that I dont owe the total amount, first because I made payments, and second because it was sold several times after it was repossessed.
I have call several times the financial company, my calls have been escalated to higher levels with no results, they can not find a bill of sale, my payments or anything related to what they have done with this car after me. This has been going on for years. This financial company put on my credit the full amount plus repo expenses and the same it is happening with a XXXX XXXX that I had just received.
LAST YEAR I RECEIVED A CERTIFICATE OF TITLE ON MY NAME AS IF MY LOAN WAS PAID OFF AND I HAD A CLEAR TITLE OVER THE CAR. I CAN ACTUALLY PROCEED TO FIND THE CAR AND HAVE IT IN MY POSSESION ACCORDING TO THIS CLEAN CERTIFICATE OF TITLE EVENTHOUGH THE CAR HAS A CURRENT OWNER THAT MAY BE FINANCING OR IS ALSO HAVING AN ADDITIONAL CLEAN TITLE.
This is my last attempt to have this matter resolved. This matter is costing me money, time off my work, stress to unimaginable levels because now the matter is with the IRS and I am not willing to pay taxes in an amount that is not correct just due to many clerical errors done by the XXXX XXXX XXXX. When it was on collection I tried to have the amount corrected to be able to make the payments and they couldnt have it fixed either.
Your cooperation in this matter is very much appreciated since time is of the essence because my time it is limited to have this matter resolved with the IRS and again I refused to pay for errors made on your end. I am willing to do whatever it takes to have this issue resolved once and for all.

Unable to receive car title or other problem after the loan is paid off
Complaint: I began calling the company several times in the weeks leading up to the end of the lease. I requested a payoff amount so that I could purchase the car outright. I was told that I would receive the information in the mail. It took at least 10 calls to get someone to give me even a ballpark figure to pay the car off. I finally could not wait any longer, as my lease was expiring at the end of XXXX, so I sent a check for around {$17000.00}, a figure I came to based on payments through the years. This meant that I paid over {$30000.00} total for a car whose value is around {$16000.00}. Yet the only thing I received was telephone calls from XXXX of XXXX telling me that, since I was a " loyal '' customer, I could turn the car in and get another leased car. This was not what I wanted. I never received any kind of receipt for the {$17000.00}, but the calls from XXXX of XXXX did stop at my request. Since then, I have called Toyota Financial and have been told that documentation for my payoff were sent to me, XXXX at the wrong address ) but were returned to them. They said it is against their policy to send them again, even though they have my correct address. It is the same address I have been using to pay them every month.
I NEED the documentation that the car was paid off in order to change the title from XXXX of XXXX being the owner of the car.
The last time I called, I talked to someone on XX/XX/XXXX, and told her to please send me the documentation that my car was paid off, the DMV was notified, and that all fees were paid in order for me to own the car. She did not speak enough English and the telephone connection was very bad, so she hung up before giving me any indication that the documentation would be sent to me.

Problem with additional products or services purchased with the loan
Complaint: Re : Toyota Corolla - XXXX -VIN : XXXX. I sincerely believe that Im a victim of a yo-yo and/or spot delivery scam perpetrated by Toyota Financial Services ( TFS ) and XXXX XXXX Toyota, XXXX, TX on or about XX/XX/2015. Additionally, TFS, in collusion with XXXX XXXX sales personnel and finance department, misrepresented the facts during the car-buying and loan-signing process. I was told that TFS was requiring that I purchase an extended warranty, disability, and gap insurance. Although I indicated that I did not want the extended warranty or the disability or gap insurance, the finance officer stated that Toyota Financial Services would not finance the loan without these add-ons. During the loan-signing process, I stated that the monthly auto payment of {$650.00} would be a major financial challenge for me. Because my trade-in had been sold and of my fear of being without transportation and having little-to-no knowledge of contract law, I reluctantly and under great duress signed the deal to purchase the XXXX Corolla. I'm presently under the care of a XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX, MD of XXXX Hospital ) because this matter has caused me great XXXX and thoughts of XXXX. Additionally, I've received no support, financial or contractual solution from TFS despite several phone calls, emails and faxes complaining about this matter.
I would like for TFS to immediately cease any planned repossession of my auto until this matter can be resolved. And I would like for TFS to do a very thorough and complete audit of my loan documents that are currently in the hands of XXXX XXXX Toyota of XXXX.
I am seeking immediate relief and would like all parties involved ( myself, Toyota Financial Services, Toyota Motor Corporation and XXXX XXXX Toyota ), and all those who have a fiduciary interest in this matter, to provide such relief that will be beneficial to all. It is my desire to resolve this matter without the need to involve the courts, Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, the FTC, the press, social media, etc

Billing problem
Complaint: The specifics of a case involving a complaint against Toyota Financial Services, or Toyota Motor Credit Bureau based in XXXX XXXX Illinois concerning an abatement or refund of {$260.00} due me on a property or excise tax paid to the above company on a paid in full amount of {$410.00} which was paid in XXXX of XXXX for a full year on my XXXX Toyota. However in XXXX of XXXX I turned in the XXXX for a XXXX Toyota which meant the already paid tax of {$410.00} needed to be abated and a refund of the above {$260.00} due me.
In order to obtain this rebate I was in contact with Toyota Financial on XXXX XXXX and was told at that time to mail a copy of the registration plate transfer to them and it would be taken care of.When this did not happen I called back XX/XX/XXXX and was told nothing has happened on it as yet and to call back in a month. Also the agent everything in this respect was handled by a XXXX XXXX XXXX department located in XXXX Tennessee and can not be reached by the consumer.Something that makes no sense.
This was the beginning of 11 answered phone calls in a series of 18 phone calls of which 7 went to voice mail without a return response.11 phone calls, spoke to 11 different agents and received 11 different answers or excuses to the same questions.I was told at the start it was transferred to the resolution specialist department which I did call and spoke to a XXXX XXXX no last name given, who again told me he would review it and call back..Never did..This started another chain of calls to the resolution department and talked to a XXXX, a XXXX, XXXX, and a XXXX (? ) on 4 different occasions..
Calls to them starting in XX/XX/XXXX on this issue continued from the above date to three calls in XXXX and was told each time it was still being reviewed.Another 3 calls in XX/XX/XXXX, same answers from them except now being told it would take 4-6 months and to call them back in XXXX.No question they are engaging in some sort of subterfuge with an attempt at a smoke screen to cover what I think is a case of both malfeasance and misfeasance within the organization..
My goal in contacting you, the Illinois Atty.General, and the XXXX XXXX XXXX is to get some authority behind me as I think this is some sort of ploy to keep me occupied in the hope I will eventually lose interest..Such is NOT the case. They owe me that money and I dont understand why a multi-million dollar company is disputing {$260.00} when all points are in my favor..
The XXXX did intervene and after several failed attempts at contacting this company finally did get to Toyota 's executive branch and as a result I was contacted by a XXXX (? ) XXXX from this division who generally seemed sincere in trying to resolve this issue. However at our last conversation she stated the check for the {$260.00} WAS cashed and considered the matter resolved..However that check may have BEEN cashed but NOT by me and my attempts at notifying XXXX (? ) of this fact resulted in 4 calls to her left on voice mail without any returned..
In essence this entire matter is unacceptable at every level and should not be happening with the bottom line being this money is clearly owed me and the many excuses given by this company is pure nonsense..
As a senior citizen trying to make it on a XXXX and social security income this is both frustrating and in every sense unnecessary.Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated..Thank you in advance..

Complaint: This is my 4th complaint against Toyota Motor Credit re Closed/Paid/In good standing acct # XXXX. Every month TFS reports incorrect delinquent information into my own and my cosigner 's credit reports with all CRAs since XX/XX/2017. Today my XXXX credit score dropped by almost 90 points, XXXX. I AM SICK AND TIRED OF THIS MICKEY MOUSE-RUN COMPANY. OUR ACCOUNTS ARE NOT AND WERE NEVER LATE OR CHARGED OFF. I PAID IN DUE TIME, TWICE I MADE A PAYMENT AND BECAUSE OF TFS NOT KNOWING WHAT THE XXXX THEY ARE DOING, THEY LOST THE FIRST PAYMENT. I MADE A SECOND PAYMENT.

Fraudulent loan
Complaint: On XX/XX/2017 my wife and I went to look into purchasing a XXXX XXXX XXXX at the XXXX dealership in XXXX. The sales man showed us a white XXXX XXXX XXXX. We listened to the sales man and after negotiations back and forth he came up with an out the door price of {$30000.00}. We agreed to that price as the agreed upon price. He showed us this amount on a white piece of paper that he kept and did not give us a copy of, we didn't even get a chance to see the interest rate since we just got a chance to glance at it. At the moment, we didn't think much of it. We were okay with the XXXX price. When we went into the office to sign paper work the lady who did the paperwork said that her printer was not working fast enough and that she would just show us the paperwork on the computer and that I sign on the electronic pad. On the final paperwork it said that the agreed upon value is {$31000.00}. My wife told her that the amount on the paperwork was wrong and she said it was not because they would just write down that we gave a down payment of XXXX. My wife said that it was not true. She said that it was just a good deal that they had to put a value there but that we were just going to have to pay XXXX dollars in cash and not what it said in the paperwork. I was confused but she said to just sign and that we were still going to get a good deal. We thought this was true at the moment but after having someone else look at the paperwork and learning more about leases we learned that the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is engaged in illegal practices in order to generate higher revenues. They changed the numbers around so that the capitalized cost of the vehicle would be higher and that our monthly payment would be higher as well. They also kept the paper that gave us the quoted amount and didn't disclose the interest rate to us. This is discrimination.

Problem while selling or giving up the vehicle
Complaint: This is about Toyota Financial Services.
I sold a car to a Toyota dealership. I had a remaining balance in an auto loan with Toyota Financial Services ( TFS ). The dealership paid off to TFS right away, but hasn't paid a remaining amount of money to me yet after 2.5 months. The problem is TFS released the lien to California DMV without checking the dealership has paid me.
This might be a general issue with auto financial institutions that customers don't have a way to be saved in the case a dealership ( or a buyer ) refused to pay and a financial institution released a lien to DMV. I can see financial institutions wouldn't care beyond what they are supposed to get paid. But, this puts customers at an unfair situation that they don't have a way to enforce payment from the dealership ( or the buyer ).
Events - XX/XX/XXXX : Sold a car ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) to XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, CA. The dealership ( buyer ) to pay off {$6600.00} to TFS and pay {$6900.00} to me ( seller ).
- XX/XX/XXXX : TFS released the lien to CA DMV.
- XX/XX/XXXX : 2 months passed. I contacted the dealership to the status. They claim TFS hadn't released the title of the vehicle. ( I haven't checked with TFS if this claim is true. ) - XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX : I kept contacting the dealership. They kept saying they will check but no status update.
Either of two happened : ( 1 ) TFS received a full payoff money, but hasn't released the title to the Toyota Dealership.
( 2 ) TFS released the title to the Toyota Dealership, but the dealership holds the money with no legitimate reason.
The point of this complaint is about ( 2 ). If ( 2 ) happens, there doesn't seem to have a way to control the bad behavior of a dealership. What I suggest is for financial institutions make sure the promised money actually transferred to the customers ( like in buying a house ).
