Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I purchased a new XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, for {$28000.00}. My name is XXXX XXXX XXXX my account number is XXXX. I purchased it in XXXX, WA. The above account number is Financed through Toyota Financial Services. I was informed that my first payment would be until XX/XX/XXXX. To my surprise I received a bill dated XX/XX/XXXX informing me of my payment due date of XX/XX/XXXX and that it would be considered late if paid after XX/XX/XXXX. I was impressed and pleased that I was being financed through a company that had it together. I quickly went online and registered my account. I scheduled my payment and it posted to the account on XX/XX/XXXX. I then came back to my online account on XX/XX/XXXX and set up automatic payments through the link in the email they sent me XX/XX/XXXX confirming my payment. I added my XXXX XXXX union account and set up payments to happen on the XXXX of every month. I then received an email saying " XXXX, XXXX. You did it! Your TFS account is running on all cylinders ''. Then bellow that it stated " You've done it! Your TFS account is fully optimized with online payments and paperless monthly billing. What else can we say except thanks for going places with us! ". At this point I was assured that everything was done and set up. At the time I was headed out of WA to XXXX, FL. For a training and work event, I left XX/XX/XXXX and didn't return until XX/XX/XXXX. That was enough time and information overload for me to move on from worry of my payment or concern that something would go wrong. I did not know or was communicated anything until I called and set up an appointment to have my car serviced on XX/XX/XXXX. They advised me on my late payment. I then went to my bank and requested a search for my payments to TFS. They only came back with the one that was processed on XX/XX/XXXX. I was in the process of switching banks around and my finances were all over the place. I could not understand how I was kicked off of auto pay. I thought maybe there was an issue with my Credit union so I made a payment from my XXXX XXXX XXXX account on XX/XX/XXXX for {$850.00} to cover XXXX and XXXX. I contacted TFS that same day and explained the situation and they said that I would be fine. They did not advise me of any issue to the action they took on my credit report at all. I was at peace thinking it was all taken care of. To my surprise I received an alert from XXXX today XX/XX/XXXX stating TFS had updated my status of 30 days late as of XX/XX/XXXX. I could not believe that I was not informed when I called them and that they reported me 30 days late. I contacted them and they said there was no record of my call and that it was valid with no way to remove it. They did not provide me any options or explain how my auto pay was deactivate and why I did not get a notification that it was stopped. After some research I noticed that auto pay issues with dropping the enrollment are common with TFS. I tried them again just in case I did not explain the situation and requested Toyota Financial Services that the " late payment '' for reported XX/XX/XXXX be removed as a courtesy. I was informed that I had disputed the late payment & that the results were a correct reporting for the late payment. I did not state I was disputing the late payment on my credit report, but I was asking for a courtesy removal for the late payment due to the auto pay error in their system. My credit report now shows I have disputed the late payment with XXXX because it is an issue. When talking to Toyota Financial Services I am told they are unable to have me communicate with the credit reporting team & that I will have to send a letter instead. It is my understanding that, according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), as the information furnisher, they are required to notify me of the insertion of negative listings. I am in complete frustration that this is happening when I am in the process of buying a business and they are causing extreme damage to the possibility of it happening due to their error. Please help!

Complaint: Im writing to dispute the XXXX record of a Toyota Motor Credit Corp report, reference # XXXX, of which the XXXX XXXX was in a accident around XX/XX/XXXX. The vechicle was fully covered by XXXX at the time of the accident. The insurance company deemed the car to be totaled. I notified the Toyota Motor Credit Corp about the accident with the claim number assigned by XXXX. Then I was told by Toyota Motor Credit Corp that I did not have to worry about any upcoming monthly payment regarding to that account. I also confirmed with Toyota Motor Credit Corp representative that there was nothing I need to do and all the matter would be settled between Toyota Credit and XXXX. With that being confirmed, I went to XXXX as pre-scheduled. However, when I called Toyota Motor Credit Corp again in XXXX to make sure the matter was settled, Toyota Motor Credit representative irresponsibly stated that they did not receive the payment from the insurance company. So I contacted the insurance company while I was in XXXX to address this issue, XXXX representative told me that Toyota Motor Credit Corp did not contact them. As a result, XXXX did not know how to send the payment. I was confused and stressed, for this issue should have nothing to do with me at this point. However, sadly, I could do nothing but to beg the Toyota Motor Credit Corp representative to contact the insurance company to offer XXXX the information. I then stayed in XXXX for my own business until XX/XX/XXXX.
When I returned to the US, I received a letter from Toyota Motor Credit Corp that asked me to pay {$500.00}, which I immediately payed Toyota Credit. According to the Lease agreenment Toyota need to notify me in person for unusual circumstance. I did nothing wrong in this whole process : I paid my dues, reported the situation immediately, notified both parties on time, and the only information I had was being notified that I had nothing to worry about. It is certainly the fault of Toyota Motor Credit Corp and the insurance company for not contacting each other in time. I had no idea about the {$500.00} extra payment until I got home. I still paid it immediately when I got the notification. However, Toyota Motor Credit Corp now has reported to the credit bureau for c/o ( charge off ) every month up to now ( XX/XX/XXXX ), which is unfair and unlawful. I have evidence for everything I have stated above, and Toyota Motor Credit Corp should also have record of the phone calls. Therefore, once again, I sincerely hope that Toyota Motor Credit Corp would help me resolve the unfair treatment I have been through. I will definitely fight for the rights I deserve.

Complaint: I had an issue today contacting Toyota Financial Services ( TFS ), regarding the current discrimination lawsuit settlement, and I feel it needs to be addressed. I purchased and financed the following two vehicles through Toyota Financial Services, during the affected period. The first in XXXX and the second in XXXX. I contacted TFS today to request the account number for the XXXX purchased vehicle. I provided my social, the vehicle VIN number, my address, phone number and all other relevant information that should have identified the account. The customer service representative advised me, that they only showed the XXXX vehicle, and did not see an account for the XXXX vehicle. The representative attempt to tell me, that the vehicle was probably not financed through TFS. I educated that the payments I make now go to the same address as the payments did for the XXXX. The representative then stated, its not uncommon for a dealer to finance with a third party and that TFS was probably just a pass through. I educated, well if that were case, then you would still filter that payment through your system since my bank draft was being sent to TFS. The representative continued to state, he could not find any other account for me, other than the XXXX. Through my persistence, and finally stating, I would also go through my bank to pull the old records from the draft which had to include the account number ; the representative asked to put me on hold which last almost 10 minutes, and he then returned stating he was able to have a tech go through another system and they were then able to locate my account and provide the information requested. Although they have agreed to the settlement, if they discourage affected persons calling in to get account information just as I did today, who may not be as persistent as I was, then this issue needs to be formally addressed. I am fortunate to use the payment system through my bank which would have had this information had they not provided, but many minorities pay such payments with money orders, XXXX XXXX, and check cards that would not maintain records. Many of the vehicles purchased from XXXX early XXXX may have already been paid off or traded and the only way for these individuals seek reparations related to the class action, would be for them to contact TFS to request their account information the same as I did today, in order to submit the eligibility form ; as the account number is required, both on the form, and in order to create an account on the registry site. From my experience today, I can verify with certainty, that TFS has placed roadblocks for anyone who doesnt have access to an older account that is no longer active. This will also include the vast number of repossessed vehicles as well. I dont remember my credit score in XXXX, but my current score is XXXX and I dont think it was that different then ; but my interest rate on the XXXX vehicle was 5.8 %. Im asking that you please continue whats been started to help others seek the justice they deserve. Also, I never received a letter or notice regarding this settlement. An attorney friend of mine happened to mention it yesterday and that was the first I've heard of this. TFS is not notifying affected parties. I would also like for the total cost charged to minorities to be looked into. XXXX XXXX state, these base model vehicles should have cost a lot less than what Ive paid for them. Complaint: After purchasing a XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX ( Toyota Motor Credit Corp ) early XX/XX/XXXX, in good standing. I decided to lease a XXXX XXXX from XXXX/TMCC. On XX/XX/XXXX, I began discussing this with the Finance Manager and XXXX At XXXX, discovering that they had to correct some incorrect reporting to the 4 credit agencies during, the month for XX/XX/XXXX. During this process XXXX XXXX ( emails ), stating that it would be taken care of, it wasn't. After several exchanges with both XXXX and XXXX they removed it, little did I know that it had already effected my lease payment, considerably. The payment increased substantially to $ XXXX/month. I was told that I was already committed and had to now be in this lease.
After lots of oil changes, and what I know now was unnecessary repairs ; due to the excessive defect in both cars ( Warranty Enhancement Notification XXXX ) I began to have issues with the car XXXX that should NOT have been taking place.
As a result on XX/XX/XXXX, I had to bring the car in because the seats literally started coming apart at the seams # Invoice XXXX, service adviser, XXXX XXXX. I asked him why it was happening when I have detailed the car annually since I took possession of it. XXXX XXXX explained that the recommended care for the leather is annually and told me it was defective and that they would have it replaced. TMCC sublet to XXXX 's XXXX to replace the leather, which resulted in me having to be in a loaner car for about a month.
After several recalls for this expensive vehicle I was asked to bring the car in for and additional recall XX/XX/XXXX. I was beginning to spend more time at the dealership than anywhere else, while paying double than what they were advertising my vehicle for so I decided to voluntarily surrender this vehicle that day. I handed over the 2 keys, to XXXX XXXX, Sales Manager and asked for a copy of the Voluntary Surrender Document. ( can provide upon request ) TMCC reported a debit owed of {$2100.00}, which was gross exaggeration of what I owed, upon ending this agreement : {$1100.00} - {$900.00} of it, they charged me for repossession, towing, storage, and detailing ; none of which was needed because I physically brought, the car to them, as well as having the car detailed just a few month prior to me turning it in. They also reported this transaction as a as a repossession ( which it wasnt, it was voluntarily surrendered ) and also charged me for several things that I was not financially responsible for, because they didnt happen.
They sent this fraudulent debt to me, where I disputed the amount. I was threated and harassed by TMCC. I old them that I would pay the amount I owed, but not the exaggerated amounts they added. They refused and said that they would ruin my credit. Subsequently they also contracted 4 different agencies to collect this debt over the course of the last 6 years : 1. XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX 2. XXXX XXXX, Inc XX/XX/XXXX 3. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX 4. XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX Each time I was contacted, by one of these companies, I sent the same breakdown of expense and my documentation, and each agency opted to discontinue pursuit of collection. ( I have each corresponded letter should I need to send this to you. Working in XXXX XXXX, this type of thing on my credit report prevented me from being employed, and has created a huge disadvantage for me even getting a new car, loan or credit for that matter. I simply DO NOT owe that amount. Both vehicles that I acquired from this dealership were defective when they were manufactured. I did not feel it was fair to charge me for things that never occurred. The car was ultimately sold for $ XXXX On XX/XX/XXXX I was sent form XXXX from Toyota Motor Credit Corporation, where I had to include this amount as income. However they are still reporting me as owing this amount on my credit report. According to the notice they have discharged ( canceled or forgiven ) this debt. They know I didnt owe this amount and wasnt going to give them more money after they overcharged me for 5 years. I paid off the purchase of the XXXX, even though that was defective and they are still reporting this fraudulent amount.
I am able to provide supporting documentation for all of this if need be, and am just looking to be done with what I thought was completed back in XX/XX/XXXX. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. It hs been 6 years please help?

Complaint: When I first leased my car they told me my due date was on the XXXX of the month. I told them I get paid twice a month and my rent is due on the first so I needed it to be due on the XXXX like all my past leases. They said I needed to pay the first paymement and then I could call to move the due date. They said there was a grace period for payment so it was okay if I was late the first time. I was late as I told them I would be and called to change the due date to the XXXX. They did it NO PROBLEM. Next month comes around I get a bill for the XXXX again. I call, they say oh it sometimes takes a cycle to change. No worries it will be on the XXXX the next month. I pay late because I was assured the month prior the date was changed and they said it just takes time but they can see the request in my file. One time I had even paid but it wasnt showing up on their end due to 2 a lag from 2 back to back holiday they were closed but I had proof and Confirmation to provide it cleared my account I had to provide before they would stop calling my work who I told them not to call numerous times because Im not allowed calls and told them to remove that number. The said the would but never did and kept calling and getting me in trouble with my boss. They would call sometimes 10-20 a day even when they said I was off that day. This goes on for a few months. Finally they say oh you need to sign a request to change let me send that to you. I receive it, sign it, send it back and it happens again ... I try changing the date on line instead of calling. Same thing. Today I get the mail, no change AGAIN! Im fed up. I call, same story. I say Im not doing this again. I want to speak to a supervisor. Im put on hold for a half hour. Then someone comes on and says you are late we cant change the date until you are current. I explain, Im late because each month you assure me you have changed my date and you dont. I feel like you are doing this to collect extra fees. I know you have record that I have made a request EVERY month since I got the car because the representative told me she can see each and every request listed in my account. She said yes, I see that too but we wont change your date until you are current. I say Im current now. She then says but your next bill is due in less than 19 days so we dont have enough time to change it. We can change it if you pay your next bill and then request it. Its the same difference and the same amount of time. She refuses to give me the name or contact information for someone above her and said nobody else can or would help me. I insist there must be someone else I can speak with she said no! She is the end of the line. I believe they are refusing to change the date to collect late fees. I have never been later than the 15-20 day ( not sure how long it takes to process ) I just want a simple 15 day due date change. In all my prior loan for 3 cars I was NEVER late. I have done this date change a million times with many different types of companies and never once did it require more than a simple phone call. I tried to go all the way up the chain of command today and was on the phone for over an hour but they refused to move the date.

In XXXX of 2017 I was hospitalized and asked my spouse to make my Toyota Motor Credit payment for me. My wife 's English is not so good and we do not have children or other people that help us. So she called Toyota Motor and made a payment for the XXXX account which is less than our Toyota Motor account payment. The payment was received by Toyota Motor Credit for less and I was reported late on the payment for that month.
I wrote a letter to Toyota Motor Credit with explanation as what had happened but they refused to correct it as they complied with Fair Credit Reporting Act.
My point is why they should agree to a partial payment when that is not the amount due. Had the system rejected the payment we would have known that there was a problem with the payment. But they gladly took a {$100.00} less payment and reported me late on the XXXX payment. I think that is not fair as they collected the payment, a partial payment must not be accepted and their system should somehow say that payment was not satisfied or a letter should have followed that only a partial payment was received and that the payment made did not cover that month 's payment due.

Complaint: I made my month payment to my loaner. on time but the payment was never apply to my bank account and they told me the bank didnt approve the payment!! When i called again they told me the have the wrong bank account when i been making the payment with the same bank account.they been changing the answer on every single call i did!!! When i called told them to make sure why they didnt take the money out and they gave me a different story i was told that I didnt have enough money when i know for sure i did have the money to pay, the loan now they are charging me late fee and my credit score went down because of that.i just want the bank loaner to fix the payment to make sure they take the money out the bank account and dont over charge me, to fix my credit scores!!! Complaint: I returned a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to XXXX of XXXX XXXX, California. I called XXXX XXXX XXXX when I returned the car to inquire about paying off the rest of the lease. I was told the amount I owed and received a statement in the mail as well. I made the full payment online and was told that my account would be closed. This did not happen. XXXX XXXX wrongfully deducted an additional month 's payment from my bank account on XX/XX/2018. I called a couple of times to get my money refunded and have been given the run around. I still did not receive my refund. They are crooks!
