Problem with personal statement of dispute
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I purchased a new XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, for {$28000.00}. My name is XXXX XXXX XXXX my account number is XXXX. I purchased it in XXXX, XXXX. The above account number is Financed through Toyota Financial Services. I was informed that my first payment would be until XX/XX/XXXX. To my surprise I received a bill dated XX/XX/XXXX informing me of my payment due date of XX/XX/XXXX and that it would be considered late if paid after XX/XX/XXXX. I was impressed and pleased that I was being financed through a company that had it together. I quickly went online and registered my account. I scheduled my payment and it posted to the account on XX/XX/XXXX. I then came back to my online account on XX/XX/XXXX and set up automatic payments through the link in the email they sent me XX/XX/XXXX confirming my payment. I added my XXXX XXXX XXXX account and set up payments to happen on the XXXX of every month.
I then received an email saying " Congratulations, XXXX. You did it! Your TFS account is running on all cylinders ''. Then bellow that it stated " You've done it! Your TFS account is fully optimized with online payments and paperless monthly billing.
What else can we say except thanks for going places with us! ". At this point I was assured that everything was done and set up. At the time I was headed out of XXXX to XXXX, XXXX. For a training and work event, I left XX/XX/XXXX and didn't return until XX/XX/XXXX. That was enough time and information overload for me to move on from worry of my payment or concern that something would go wrong. I did not know or was communicated anything until I called and set up an appointment to have my car serviced on XX/XX/XXXX. They advised me on my late payment because my agent was helping me check in on some info on my account for me. I then went to my bank and requested a search for my payments to TFS. They only came back with the one that was processed on XX/XX/XXXX. I was in the process of switching banks around and my finances were all over the place. I could not understand how I was kicked off of auto pay. I thought maybe there was an issue with my Credit union so I made a payment from my XXXX XXXX XXXX account on XX/XX/XXXX for {$850.00} to cover XXXX and XXXX. I contacted TFS that same day and explained the situation and they said that I would be fine. They did not advise me of any issue to the action they took on my credit report at all. I was at peace thinking it was all taken care of.
To my surprise I received an alert from XXXX today XX/XX/XXXX stating TFS had updated my status of 30 days late as of XX/XX/XXXX. I could not believe that I was not informed when I called them and that they reported me 30 days late. I contacted them and they said there was no record of my call and that it was valid with no way to remove it. They did not provide me any options or explain how my auto pay was deactivate and why I did not get a notification that it was stopped. After some research I noticed that auto pay issues with dropping the enrollment are common with TFS. I tried them again just in case I did not explain the situation and requested Toyota Financial Services that the " late payment '' for reported XX/XX/XXXX be removed as a courtesy. I was informed that I had disputed the late payment & that the results were a correct reporting for the late payment. I did not state I was disputing the late payment on my credit report, but I was asking for a courtesy removal for the late payment due to the auto pay error in their system. My credit report now shows I have disputed the late payment with XXXX because it is an issue. When talking to Toyota Financial Services I am told they are unable to have me communicate with the credit reporting team & that I will have to send a letter instead. It is my understanding that, according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), as the information furnisher, they are required to notify me of the insertion of negative listings. I am in complete frustration that this is happening when I am in the process of buying a business and they are causing extreme damage to the possibility of it happening due to their error.
I have now received a response which simply states that because they can not see it in their system it never happened. They also went on to say that they could not find record of my auto pay. Well that is the problem the system dropped the auto pay or didnt accept it and I am being punished for a technology problem ( which has appears to happen often to other people and has been reported ) after receiving confirmation. They stated it was not confirmation for auto pay but confirmation for setting up my online account for payments ( which came after i selected my auto pay, put in my bank account, and selected my date of payment as the XXXX of every month ) that is what auto pay is a payment. They also stated that they attempted to contact me many times as of XX/XX/XXXX via phone. If the payment was due the XXXX of XXXX and considered late by the XXXX of the following month why did they wait until the XXXX to reach out? I am not available via phone and have email as my preferred method of contact. Why did I not receive any kind of notice? One one think that as a courtesy and having a new account they would take necessary steps to ensure the success of their agreements. They also stated dealerships are unaware the are able to issue goodwill adjustments. That was not told to me by a dealer but TFS customer service person because of the given the situation of the technology issue. Next they also went on to explain that it is stated in my contract the potential negative impacts of paying late. I am well aware and that is why I manage my payments. According to them they are reporting accurately and have confirmed that. Based off what their own records? How is that responsible and acceptable? It is a clear statement that they have a perfect technology with no room for error and that nothing has, can, or will go wrong. That is not a responsible thought process or way to conduct business. Technology is not perfect and errors have, are, and will continue to happen. If they are stating that they have a flawless system and can have a certified professional programmer, web designer, platform developer, server specialist, and provide the proof of 0 % margin of error then I will accept that negative mark. But if not then I can not simply accept " we can not find it so it didnt happen and you are responsible because it is in your contract '' is not morally right and a disservice to all us that trust in TFS 's ability to use reasoning and sound judgement when looking at the whole picture and doing what is right. Taking ownership of the possibility of an error and not using the situation as a power play to state the obvious implications of a late payment. That is a real passive aggressive move and extremely disrespectful. I would never treat any client the way they have treated me regardless of how long or little they have been a client. But i would evaluate the history they have with me and only me, see what happened, and then take the steps to correct what needs to be. If there is a history between us then that changes things but not when no negative history exists. A negative report can be withdrawn due to concurrent negligence because of a technology issue. Had that issue not happened then their would be no late payment therefor making it true and accurate reporting that an error was made and no late payment should have been reported. It comes down to doing what is right and logical based off the situation as a whole not just one side with the upper hand simply stating they checked and found nothing so it is valid. I have also provided a screen shot of one of the recent attempts at paying. It gave me an error saying it my request could not be completed at the time. So again I state there is more here than just a missed payment but a system issued that cause a late payment with no care from TFS but instead tossing me aside as though i am a habitual late payment offender.

Complaint: To Whom It May Concern In summary : Leased the car XXXX XXXX with the promotion of one month free ' I noticed that I did not receive my my Free promotion month and contact XXXX financial center on XX/XX/XXXX.
After several phone conversation with the customer service /manager I was told that we will look into it and I should not be worry and any over payment will be refunded I asked instead of sending check please just transferred the money to my new account since I was in process of purchasing the new car from the same company When I returned the car and lease the XXXX XXXX XXXX I was under impression that that i have credit to my contact On XX/XX/XXXX I received notice of late payment Immediately called, after 1.5 hours being on phone finally spoke lady on Resolution center ( I have name Not have name with me now ) explained the situation She apologized about wrong information and suggested to pay all balance now ( and they will look into over payment on XXXX car since two account are completely separate ) and assured me several times that It wont affect my credit. ( Hope there is record of our conversation ) She also kindly removed late fee.

Denied request to lower payments
Complaint: I had to leave my job inXX/XX/XXXX due to XXXX XXXX XXXX requiring XXXX. I had to take early retirement due to the cost of a XXXX XXXX. I was then and am now on a fixed income. I contacted Toyota Financial Services prior to the due date of XX/XX/XXXX requesting an extension due to the timing of the start of retirement benefits. My extension was granted and they sent me a confirmation letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, Account # XXXX. That letter confirmed the new next due date would be XX/XX/XXXX. On or about XX/XX/XXXX I saw where Toyota was going to take the {$600.00} for the XX/XX/XXXX payment through automatic withdrawal from my checking account. I immediately called their Customer Service and was told that I needed to cancel the automatic online and I did. I was further instructed to go to my Bank and issue a stop payment on the withdrawal which I did. Apparently, the stop payment somehow changed the next due date from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. The Customer Service Agent that instructed me to stop payment did not inform me that it would change the terms of our agreement specified in the XX/XX/XXXX letter. Still struggling financially in XX/XX/XXXX, again due to the retirement benefit from SS being delayed an entire month and Toyota 's insistence I was late on my payment contrary to the agreement in theXX/XX/XXXX letter, I contacted them again.
The Customer Service agent this time looked at theXX/XX/XXXX letter and told me I was correct and it would be fixed including a change to my due date from the XXXX of the month to the XXXX of the month to allow my retirement check to be received and payment made on time. It never happened. I contacted their Customer Service again.
This time the Agent told me because of the stop payment, instructed by them in XX/XX/XXXX, the payment I made in accordance with the XX/XX/XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX was credited to XX/XX/XXXX making me a month late. Another extension was granted that I thought was suppose to straighten it all out and show me current. I will make another payment today, XX/XX/XXXX for {$600.00}. I can do no more. However, they are assessing late fees each month that I feel is unfair and not right.
I contacted them, once again when I made the XX/XX/XXXX payment on time and asked again that they fix it by 30 days so I could begin restoring my lifelong good credit. They denied my request in a letter ofXX/XX/XXXX. I am frustrated and will not allow them to assess late payment for the term of the loan which goes on for a while. I will simply give them back the car. I am on a fixed income and have no way at this time to double payment.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 I went to a Toyota dealer to purchase a used car with a low APR. The entire negotiations over price included me requesting a low APR. The dealer and I agreed on a price and before the dealer would allow me to read the contract I was required to pay {$4000.00} deposit. I used my credit card, and the {$4000.00} was charged, then the time was spent switching the plates and registration from my old vehicle and then securing insurance. Finally after hours of negotiating, paying, transferring plates, etc. the dealer finally printed out the Retail Installment contract. I did note that the interest rate was 7.14 % instead of a low APR and I immediately protested. The dealers said that my credit was not worthy enough for the lower APR and that it was too late, I had already paid the {$4000.00} and there was nothing that I could do. There is no reason that I should not have qualified for the advertised lower APR. I should have been told the interest rate was going to be 7.14 % before they took {$4000.00} from me. I felt scammed and angry.

here is what happened i returned my viehcle to my dealer once i did that i had thought that there was no payment due so i didn't make any further payments.

Complaint: I reviewed my credit report and there are several items, that aren't correct. I have a inquiry from XXXX XXXX, dated XX/XX/XXXX. This is not my inquiry, I did not apply for any account with XXXX, nor did I authorize them to pull, my credit.
Toyota Motor credit, has a 30 day late payment, showing on my credit file, for XX/XX/XXXX. I set up a automatic payment draft, but I was doing some other credit payments, over the phone and I decided to call Toyota Motor Credit on my XXXX payment and I submitted a phone payment. I realized that I still had a auto draft payment, coming out of my account and this would cause a issue, with some addition payments, that were due, later in the month. So I called Toyota Motor Credit two days later and cancel the auto payment, for the second payment, and the customer service rep. Assured me the payment was canceled and would not be processed. I am not sure if their computer system or the rep did the cancellation. But, both the payment, I made, over the phone and the auto payment, was cancelled, in error and Toyota, placed a 30 day late on my credit file. I have spoken with them, several times and they show, both payments being made, in their system. But, refuse to remove the 30 day late, because I authorized, the cancellation of one payment and they cancelled both payments, on their end of the transaction.

Complaint: This is in reply to Company 's Response for Complaint # IDXXXX. At the time I responded to the company 's answer, I didn't notice the discrepancy in payment. I was told by the company that in order to pay off the car, I needed to send {$16000.00}. This was sent to them on XX/XX/XXXX -- a week before the end of the lease. According to the company 's response, quoted below, I was only required to pay {$15000.00}. The company owes me the difference - {$450.00}.

Complaint: I leased a vehicle from PRIORITY TOYOTA in XXXX XXXX when I lived in that state in XX/XX/2015. When I originally got the vehicle they told me that my payment amount would be XXXX and some change. At that same time my ex leased a vehicle also and needed a cosigner and they had asked me to co sign on the loan for him. At that time I was only making about 28000 a year and somehow I was approved for 2 auto loans equaling out to over 50k? With that being said I remember the dealership acting kind of off about my income and I think they falsified my information. Anyways, I was making the payments on my vehicle and I decided to move back to XXXX where I am from because things did not work out with my ex and I. within 2 months my payment raised to XXXX and I was not notified about it at all. When they did that I had not found a job yet and so I got a little behind on payments but when I did finally find a job I went back to making the standard XXXX. payment because that's what I thought it was the whole time and now almost 2 years later I have been playing catch-up with them because they raised my payment, keep charging me fees, and there's some miscellaneous fees on there totaling over 300 dollars. Also, within this time my ex decided not to make payments on his vehicle so I now have that on my credit report as a charged off because of the whole situation. I have called TOYOTA FINANCIAL several times to try and resolve this and they were just rude and blew it off. I now have a XXXX month old baby and am a single mom and my car payment and me trying to catch up is just WAYYYY to much for me. So I am hoping with filing this complaint SOMETHING can get resolved because I feel like that dealership completely took advantage of a young girl.

Complaint: I am needing to get a duplicate title from the State of Iowa in order to register my vehicle in Kansas. The original title was sent to me from Toyota of XXXX XXXX but was lost in transit. I was told the the lien holder Toyota Financial Services was required to send in a request for duplicate title. I contacted them on XX/XX/XXXX to request the duplicate title and was told the the request was put in, and would take about 2 weeks for them to get the duplicate title back and then they would send it to me or the DMV. I have since called them on XX/XX/XXXXandXX/XX/XXXX checking on the status each time they have told me that they have not received the title from the State of Iowa yet. So today on XX/XX/XXXX I called the XXXX County Treasurers Office who the request would be sent to and was informed the a request for the duplicate title was never received, and it is only a 1 day processing time to get that duplicate title sent back out. When I called back to talk to Toyota Financial Services the resolution specialist then told me it would be 4-6 weeks for them to send out the request. I dont have 4-6 weeks, the vehicle I purchase needs to be registered by XX/XX/XXXX.

Complaint: My issue is with Toyota Financial Services ( TFS ). In XX/XX/XXXX, I wanted to make a payment to principal on my loan. I attempted to do this on the TFS website where I make standard payments. The website does not allow for principal payments. I telephoned TFS and spoke with a customer service representative name XXXX. XXXX provided me with the TFS address for sending principal payments. XXXX also informed me that I could make a principal payment over the phone with a representative. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called TFS and made a principal payment by phone, and about a week later, I received a letter of confirmation from TFS for this payment.
This XX/XX/XXXX, I again called TFS to make a principal payment to my loan. This time, the representative told me they do not accept principal payments over the phone ; they only accept payments by mail. This was confirmed by a supervisor and I submitted a formal complaint about the matter.
In my opinion, this is a shady business tactic. TFS charges interest on a daily basis. Not allowing online or phone payments that can be processed in a timely manner, allows them to charge more interest to the consumer, in the time it takes for the consumer to hand write a check, place it in the mail, the parcel ships ( 2-3 days ), and while it sits on someone's desk waiting to be processed.

Complaint: Upon paying for my vehicle at lease end a payment was taken from my bank account that was not due. 45 days after the payment was taken from my account I received a notice from XXXX XXXX stating that I am currently delinquent on the account and that I have been 30 days late.
I called Toyota to let them know and they stated that I will have make a request in writing and that it may take 90 days to correct the discrepancy.
