Difficulty submitting a dispute or getting information about a dispute over the phone
Complaint: I leased a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX from Toyota Motor Credit Corp. in XX/XX/XXXX, the SUV was returned on XX/XX/XXXX which was its due date and the mileage on the SUV was XXXX ( I was allowed to use XXXX per year ) well within the target needed for a 3 year lease, I have a copy of the returned document. The next thing I know is a letter from a XXXX XXXX XXXX debt collector, they are telling that the SUV was stolen and was eventually recovered and that I owe {$2200.00} dollars. I called and spoke with a XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, I also called Toyota who refused to speak with me as they had turned this in to a debt collector. I have not been able to resolve this issue after calling and engaging now every month and feel my hands are tied, I need your help as they are also hurting my credit history.

Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Problem with personal statement of dispute
Complaint: I had an acct with XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was in a car accident XX/XX/XXXX. I paid the monthly note until waiting on the insurance company to pay. On XX/XX/XXXX I received an deficiency letter stating below is the total balance and I had 20days from the date of the letter to pay the total balance after reading the letter I called Toyota spoke with a CSR and asked do I pay my XX/XX/XXXX car note minus the total amount of is my XX/XX/XXXX note due in this total by the due date? I was instructed to pay the total balance by the due date and I complied and paid the acct in full on time. I then received a credit alert and letter stating I received a 30day marker for XX/XX/XXXX when I called Toyota I was told it was for XX/XX/XXXX. I asked how did I receive a 30day marker for XX/XX/XXXX when they added my XX/XX/XXXX note to the total balance on the deficiency letter on XX/XX/XXXX and gave me 20 days after that date to pay it? This marker is not warranted, they added my XX/XX/XXXX payment to the total balance. I disputed it was updated to paid as agreed but they did not remove the 30day marker and this acct is closed

Problem with the interest rate
Complaint: I am an XXXX XXXX XXXX and was charged a higher interest rate and feel that added fees/incentives were tacked on to my sales price. Per an article in the news, " Today the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) and Department of Justice ( DOJ ) resolved an action with Toyota Motor Credit Corporation, under which Toyota Motor Credit will change its pricing and compensation system to substantially reduce dealer discretion and accompanying financial incentives to mark up interest rates. As part of todays order, Toyota Motor Credit is also required to pay up to {$21.00} XXXX in restitution to thousands of XXXX and XXXX and XXXX XXXX borrowers who paid higher interest rates than XXXX borrowers for their auto loans, without regard to their creditworthiness, as a result of its past practices. Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Old information reappears or never goes away
Complaint: I have reached out to all 3 credit bureaus as well as Toyota Financial to have my credit report updated with no resolution. I purchased my car ( XX/XX/XXXX Toyota Corolla ) brand new onXX/XX/XXXX. My vehicle was repossessed and redeemed in XX/XX/XXXX. My contract was satisfied XX/XX/XXXX however this item still shows negatively as a redeemed repossession. I was told ( by the credit bureaus ) that items stay on my report for 7yrs from first reported delinquency but this repossession is 10yrs old. I confirmed this with Toyota who says they haven no control over how long the info is on my report but they have total control. Why are they reporting my loan only for the last 6months of the lease which makes it look like it's 6yrs old as opposed to the 10yrs since it was actually first reported delinquent and repossessed. They keep updating reports on my report but that info is incorrect. This loan goes back to XX/XX/XXXX. I am trying to resolve this without dealing with either parties mentioned again directly and I am currently waiting for my account history in the mail ... if needed.

Billing problem
Complaint: I setup a reoccurring payment with Toyota financial services on XX/XX/2017 to pay the loan on my new truck. The payment that was setup ended up being {$50.00} less than the contract amount. Toyota financial services made 10 payments at that amount and ended up charging me late fees with each payment and snowballed the account and reported it as being in default on my credit report. All 10 payments were made on time but since the reoccurring payment system withdrawal was for {$50.00} less than the contract amount. Toyota financial services never contacted me about this issue. The payment system should not have allowed the payment to be processed for less than the amount due. When I contacted them they would not return my call as promised and several email attempts have failed. I paid the account up to make it current and also adjusted the reoccurring payment to cover the proper amount due each month. I feel that Toyota financial services allowed this default to occur and collected on the late fees. I want all late fees removed from my account a don my credit report updated to show that all payments were made on time.

Billing problem
Complaint: NEW COMPLAINT-NOT DUPLICATE I have had a loan with Toyota Financial Services since XX/XX/XXXX and have never missed or made any payments over 30 days late. I work as a XXXX XXXX for XXXX XXXX and on XX/XX/XXXX, I had a working trip from XXXX XXXX, CA to XXXX, XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX ( US ), when I arrived in XXXX, I tried to log on to my Toyota Financial Services online account to make a payment in the amount of {$660.00} that was due on XX/XX/XXXX ( 26 days after the due date ). The Toyota Financial Services system gave me a notification advising me that a validation code was being sent to my email, and although I was entering the correct username and password in addition to the code from the Toyota Financial Services system, I kept receiving an error stating We are currently experiencing technical difficulties and can not process your request. Please try again later. Since my payment was time-sensitive and I needed to make that payment before XX/XX/XXXX to avoid being 30 days late, I contacted Toyota Financial Services XXXX-number and was transferred to a representative named XXXX in the Billing Department. I explained to XXXX that I was trying to log on to my Toyota Financial Services online account to make my payment but was having difficulties logging on and was receiving an error message ; I also explained to XXXX that I am a XXXX XXXX for XXXX XXXX and was overseas. XXXX explained to me that since I was trying to log on to Toyota Financial Services from an international location, the system was not allowing me to log on in order to prevent fraud. XXXX then offered to take my payment over the phone, and although I always prefer to make my payments online to have a printed or screenshot confirmation of my transactions, I accepted her offer to make my payment with her since I didnt have any other options. There are four checking accounts listed on my profile and XXXX processed my payment from one of those accounts, but not the one that I intended to make my payment from. Since I was not able to view XXXX entry for my payment prior to processing, I trusted that she processed my payment correctly and to be debited from the correct bank account. Finally, XXXX also advised me that my payment would only be processed by XX/XX/XXXX, since it was processed after the payment cutoff time, but she assured me that my payment would be on time and posted prior to XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I made a transfer to my XXXX XXXX XXXX account ending in XXXX in the amount of {$660.00} for that payment. On XX/XX/XXXX, I left to work again from XXXX XXXX, CA to XXXX, XXXX and noticed that the funds for my Toyota Financial Services payment were still on my XXXX XXXX XXXX account. On XX/XX/XXXX ( US ), when I arrived in XXXX, I contacted Toyota Financial Services for a second time and asked to speak with a supervisor but was instead transferred to XXXX from the Customer Escalations Team ; when I asked if she was a supervisor, she assured me that she had the same authority as a supervisor to resolve customer issues. I explained to XXXX that on XX/XX/XXXX, while in XXXX, I tried to log on to my Toyota Financial Services account to make my payment that was due on XX/XX/XXXX and was unable to log on, so I contacted Toyota Financial Services XXXX-number and had my payment processed over the phone with XXXX, but that XXXX set my payment to be debited from my XXXX account ending in XXXX, instead of my XXXX XXXX XXXX account ending in XXXX. XXXX seemed to be very understanding of the situation and told me that she would be processing my payment again and would post it with the correct date from my initial contact with Toyota Financial Services ( XX/XX/XXXX ). I confirmed the routing and account numbers with XXXX, and prior to ending our conversation, I asked her again if that payment would be backdated, and she assured me that it would be backdated to XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I noticed that the payment processed by XXXX had a posting date of XX/XX/XXXX instead of the promised date of XX/XX/XXXX and I contacted Toyota Financial Services again. I was transferred to XXXX XXXX, who introduced himself as a manager, and just as XXXX, he promised a correction on the payment date to XX/XX/XXXX and advised me that he would contact me after that issue was resolved. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX left me a voicemail asking for me to contact Toyota Financial Services XXXX-number and to ask the representative receiving my call to read the notes added by him to my account. When I contacted Toyota Financial Services, I was advised by the representative that XXXX XXXX did not honor his promised of date correction and noted my account stating that no changes would be made to the date of my payment and that it would remain as posted on XX/XX/XXXX. On the same day, XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a registered letter to Toyota Financial Services Credit Research Dispute explaining the situation of my difficulties trying to log in to my account on XX/XX/XXXX, the incorrect payment processed by XXXX and the promises for correction and adjustment from XXXX and from XXXX XXXX, and requested a goodwill adjustment to my files with the three credit bureaus ; up-to-date, I have not heard from the Toyota Financial Services Credit Research Dispute Team with a resolution regarding this situation. I also filed a complaint with the XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) and with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, Toyota Financial Services responded to both the XXXX and CFPB, but to date have not attempted to reach me to resolve or fix the problem. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent an email with a full explanation of my situation and attached documentation to XXXX XXXX XXXX ( CEO for Toyota Motor North America ), but never received a response from him or his team. I made several attempts to get this issue resolved but Toyota Financial Services refuses to correct this situation and has been treating me without respect by failing to assume responsibility for their website issues that prevented me from logging on to make my payment so that it would be correctly processed as of XX/XX/XXXX and caused payment to be processed incorrectly by XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. I have also received false promises for date correction from XXXX ( Customer Escalations Team ) and XXXX XXXX ( Manager ).

Billing problem
Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, XXXX my bank account was debited {$600.00} twice from Toyota Financial. I called and they informed that I made a payment online on XX/XX/XXXX and again on XX/XX/XXXX both for {$600.00}. This was MY error ... however I don't remember doing the payment on XX/XX/XXXX. They said they were only able to return one once they finish processing, then I would get a check in the mail in 7-10 business days. I told them I would call my bank and place a stop payment, which would return both payment, then I would schedule another one. I did just that, and I received an email confirmation that my new payment was scheduled ( Confirmation number XXXX ). Today I go to pay my XX/XX/XXXX payment and its telling me I owe them more than {$1600.00} by XX/XX/XXXX. They never applied my payment from the end of XXXX. I called to find out what was going on as I have received no email, phone call or any communication that I am past due. The first woman I spoke with told me I was on a DO NOT CALL list ... I NEVER told them to add me to that list, I asked how that happened and figured that is why they didn't harass me after my payment was late. She said she can not tell me, I asked for a manager, she told me they can't help and continued to talk over me, I didn't even get to my questions, she had me on hold and I wound up hanging up 13 minutes into the call because I was unable to continue to wait. I called back and the next rep tells me she had no record of the payment I have the email confirmation for. She also told me my {$600.00} payments were returned NSF, which is also not true, they were returned due to the stop payment, which I told the rep back in XXXX I would be doing. Now the company will not let me make a payment online, I have to call, I am unable to use my bank account and they are unable to find that payment so its on me. I MADE MY PAYMENT. Its reflecting I am 33 days past due now which will reflect on my credit eventually and now I will have to go through the hoops to dispute this. My issue is my credit and the fact that SOMEONE added me to the do not call list without my permission. Had I received a call, I could have fixed this right away. I need to know who did this to my account and also WHY the payment I have an email confirmation for did not go through and doesn't reflect online. I also want the ability to pay my car loan online back.

Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Problem with personal statement of dispute
Complaint: From outset of lease in XX/XX/2017, we repeatedly tried to have Toyota Financial debit our account for the monthly lease payment. In XX/XX/2017, we sent Toyota the appropriate form to complete the transaction. Later we were told that this had been processed. As an elderly couple that occasionally travel, we assumed the matter was settled. Instead when we arrived home in early XXXX, we had been billed double the lease payment plus late fee. This indicated Toyota had not drafted our account. Promptly we paid their invoice and again went through the troubles of setting up this drafting. Driving 50 mile round trip to the Toyota facility in XXXX from where we had leased the car, the financial officer instructed us to again complete and file a draft authorization. Meanwhile Toyota notified us that we had to pay 100 % of the remaining lease immediately. Although the matter was finally settled, Toyota reported this to the credit bureau with the result that our good credit rating was adversely affect. I wrote to Toyota appealing this unjust treatment only to receive a reply from them refusing our appeal.

Problem with personal statement of dispute
Complaint: Hello my car parked and was totaled by a hit and run whiles parked. On XX/XX/2017. On XX/XX/2017 a payment was made to Toyota Financial services in the amount of {$10000.00} there was a balance of {$3900.00}. I had gap insurance to pay the balance. Which they did but they didnt pay it till mid XX/XX/XXXX. I had purchased a new vehicle in XX/XX/XXXX. I feel it is unfair that my credit Has to suffer with late notices because the gap insurance took so long to pay the balance. They knew I had gap insurance and that they would pay the balance. Plus they already received over a {$10000.00} payment I dont see why a hold was not placed on the account giving time for the gap insurance to pay the balance. I think it is unfair because why should I continue to pay for a car I no longer am driving and that my gap insurance will be paying the balance that makes no sense to me.
