Complaint: I had my credit report ran from my preferred lender for my first time home purchase. There is an account with TCF National Bank that is showing up on my credit report. Due to this error on TCF National Bank 's wrong doing, I was denied the loan. I have been going through the process of getting them to remove this other consumers mortgage account off of my credit report, but have been unsuccessful. I keep getting the " run around '' from them. I signed a power of attorney to have a mortgage professional help me with this but they are getting the " run around '' as well. I have called, faxed, emailed my social security card, my drivers license, copies of utility bills and even my credit report showing proof of their error ( s ). I do not know what else to do because i am going to lose my earnest funds and ca n't get TCF National Bank to write a letter explaining that this is their error, with an XXXX confirmation number/code to help underwriting understand that his is not my fault, and to ultimately get this account that is not mine, off of my credit reprot.

Complaint: We have a second mortgage with TCF bank. For the past 11 years we have been paying {$440.00} per month. We used to get a once yearly statement. Recently we have getting a monthly statement. I realized that the amount of principal credited each month was questionable. It should more principal credited each month.. From the enclosed statement you can see that was not the case. In fact almost 2 years of payments show no principal reduction at all. As you go over the statement you find many inconsistencies. Such as we have made the XX/XX/XXXX payment on XX/XX/XXXX. The principal on the statement said {$250.00}, yet we were credited {$120.00}. We were credited {$170.00} on XX/XX/XXXX and then {$140.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. Why would it be less? Why would it be less again on the next payment? I called TCF on Tuesday XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX my time.I spoke with XXXX and she had no explanation. The called last 26 minutes and she acted like I did n't know what I was talking about. She said she would send out a statement and call me in a week. I received the statement which have enclosed. Today is XX/XX/2017 and no call back The money is automatically withdrawn by TCF from another TCF account on the XXXX of each month. Due to circumstances at the time we had to accept a loan that was not very good. We have lived up to our part of the agreement all these years. Due to a first mortgage that is almost paid off TCF would not refinance this loan.

Complaint: I have a TCF bank account and with it I chose the option to have them cover any transactions that may put me into a negative balance and charge me an overdraft fee ( OPT-IN ). At the end of XX/XX/XXXX I used my XXXX that is attached to my checking account. The transaction went through at the store but days later was rejected for insufficient funds. I was charged an overdraft fee and a returned check fee. When I called XXXX times and asked why these were returned ( because I do have the OPT IN coverage ), they told me that XXXX does n't say they will cover all transactions. I asked what is the criteria for not covering and no one could tell me. The solution they came up with was to open a savings account and they could pull $ out of there to cover the insufficient funds in the checking account.

Complaint: I am writing to continue a complaint XXXX. I am attaching several documents which present my case and my situation. First, I was foreclosed by TCF. They never gave me the opportunity to make things right and NEVER considered a short sale offer I has for {$960000.00}. In the most recent letter letter ( attached ) from TCF, XXXX XXXX, he stated that he made many offers, offers I specifically asked for in my XX/XX/XXXX letter ( attached ) and that he did not hear from me. This is incomprehensible -- all I wanted was to keep my son in school -- and not have a deficiency judgment. He says they offered that, which must have only been a year ago, and that I did not respond. However when I asked for a copy of the offer, they have none. I am asking you to look into this situation. I also attach an offer I received for the property XX/XX/XXXX for {$960000.00} which TCF did not entertain, but yet they sold the home for {$800000.00} less than 6 months later. This is a choice of theirs to accept such a low offer for the home. They are pursuing a deficiency judgment of {$340000.00} against me and will not negotiate, Attached letter of XX/XX/XXXX. It should not be allowed that TCF took the home I lived in for 18 years, without any negotiation or offers of assistance. When I first approached TCF there were government programs offering 1 % and 2 % mortgages, and yet TCF would not consider lowering my rate, and then sold the home at such a steep discount. This should not be allowed. They purposely accepted {$160000.00} less for the home and are coming after me for an amount they know I can not pay. Please assist in getting TCF to withdraw their deficiency judgment and letting me put back the pieces of my life.

Complaint: We have a car loan with Gateway One Lending and Finance. Due to our financial situation, we pay late almost every month, not 30 days late but late. Gateway will call me. I explain that they payment has been scheduled with our bank bill pay system, the date it will leave our bank and how much the payment is. They will take the information, thank me and advise that they will follow up. The next day, they will start calling at XXXX. They will call me, my husband, my work, my parents and email me multiple times. If they speak to anyone other than me, they claim they have never spoken to me, have been trying to reach me for weeks or claim that I promised they would have received payment already when that is not the case. One month after we had switched bank I tried to make a payment on their site and entered the info wrong so it was returned. I spoke to them and explained it was my error, and that my bank bill pay would send the money in the next day. They told me someone was on the way to repossess my car and the only way to stop it was to make a payment with them on the phone immediately. They also said they could not accept bill pay from banks so any payment sent that way would take weeks to post ( It takes 3 days at most ). Almost everyone that we speak to is incredibly rude.

Complaint: We have bank accounts with XXXX local branch office at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX we do all of our deposits in this branch. On XXXX/XXXX/2016 and XX/XX/XXXX we thought we deposited in amount of {$5100.00} in XXXX batches. On XXXX we deposited check in amount of {$1000.00} even and {$2400.00}. Once I noticed the discrepancy we went in person to talk to the XXXX, he talked to us and promised he will try to figure it out. After taking XXXX weeks or so around XX/XX/XXXX he called he said he was unable to figure out either from the video footage or from the batches. We have requested to look into the camera for both days which he refused. We then asked if we could talk to the XXXX. He called then we explained the situation and he promised to get back to us. I heard nothing from him since. But we have called twice or so because we are frustrated at this point. We are writing today to you because XXXX does not understand what {$1000.00} meant for a working family. We are deeply disappointed as this speed of respond it extremely too slow and also customer service for paying no attention to the matter in addition to the supervisor and XXXX. It seems they didnt care about what has happened from how they have been drugging us until now. How much this can affect out family? We would like to end any business with XXXX once we get resolution and look for better bank that can take care of our money.

Complaint: I am writing this letter to file a formal complaint against Gateway One Lending & Finance. On XX/XX/XXXX I purchased a car using XXXX. The contract was quickly assigned to Gateway One Lending. On XX/XX/XXXX I had a car wreck. My car was immediately taken to XXXX. The repair bid is attached. The insurance carrier and Gateway had a conversation regarding my car being totaled. But upon the insurance carrier speaking to me, I was told the car would be repaired. On XX/XX/XXXX I spoke to XXXX at Gateway. He informed me that it did n't matter if the car could be repaired, that Gateway does not finance totaled cars. I immediately went out to purchase a new car. See attached sales contract. My wrecked car was still in the shop being repaired and was completed. The insurance company paid for the vehicle. Gateway was informed. They later came to pick up the car and sent me letters stating I was liable for the difference. See attached letters.
I am a person who pays her bills. I have excellent credit reflecting that I pay my debt. I stopped paying this car only after I was told they would no longer finance my car.
At this point I have been dealing with this matter for a year. I am not asking for any emotional or financial damages. I only want the item removed from my credit report.
I hope you can assist me in this matter. I am trying to avoid filing a law suit against Gateway.
