Debt collection: I do not know

Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Complaint: Receivables Performance Management continues to violate federal consumer law. Receivables Performance Management deleted a inaccurate account from my credit report and then re entered the account back on to my XXXX credit report. As I have stated before, I have no idea who Receivable Performance Management is or who they represent. This company entered a collection on my credit report without notifying me or contacting me regarding what this debt was about. I have never had an account with this company or anyone they claim to represent. Receivable Performance Management is indicating that an account with the account number XXXX was opened with their company in XX/XX/2018.Also, they are reporting that I have a balance with them as of XX/XX/2018. I never opened an account with them or anybody else. This account must be a result of identity theft or someone opening an account in my name using my identity. I have no knowledge of this account nor did I give anyone permission to open an account with my name. When a debt collector engages in the collection of DEBT they must provide copies of the following items : 1. Provide a certified copy of the complete credit application that debtor signed to secure the credit with your entity. 2. Provide signed verification of each transaction that is part of the alleged cumulative debt. 3. Provide the contract or other instrument through which [ Alleged Creditor } authorized Receivable Performance Managementas third-party collection agent. 4. Provide a true and correct copy of the instrument by which [ Receivables Performance Management XXXX } was authorized as a mixed-ownership government corporation with authority to hypothecate credit of the United States ( 31 U.S.C. 9101 ). 5. Provide the delegation of authority from the Director of the Office of Management Budget to Receivable Performance Management, that authorizes your company to settle accounts of the United States ( Public Law 104-316 ). 6. Provide the Certified Assessment Certificate. Violation ( s ) : * Failure to provide a notice prior to reporting negative information to a credit reporting agency ( CRA ). * Failure to provide a notice within 30 days after reporting negative information to a credit reporting agency ( CRA ). * Failure to provide an Opt Out Notice. * Failure to disclose as required by federal law mandatory information in their Privacy Policy notice. * Sharing Non Public Information ( NPI ) without providing an Opt Out Notice

Attempts to collect debt not owed

Debt collection: Other debt

Debt is not yours
Complaint: I received a collection letter from RPM ( Receivables Performance Management LLC ) today on XX/XX/2018, in an attempt to collect a supposed debt to XXXX for {$320.00}. The letter states if you do not notify their office within 30 days they will assume this is a valid debt. I called them immediately upon receipt of the letter, XX/XX/2018, and was told I can not dispute it. The woman I spoke to threatened that they can take legal action, told me I can not dispute, and proceeded to hang up on me. I do not owe XXXX any money. The XXXX account in question that I previously had for several years was in good standing and was paid off, which is how I was able to get my pin number from XXXX in order to go to a new company. Nothing was left owed to XXXX.

Debt collection: I do not know

You told them to stop contacting you, but they keep trying
Complaint: Firstly, I am certain I have no debt other than my student loans, which are currently being handled by an unrelated credit service, and that these claims must be baseless. On XX/XX/18 Recievables Performance Management ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Suite XXXX XXXX, WA XXXX ) began calling my mother 's phone from XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX and asking her to confirm my identity. They refused to identify themselves or why they were calling, and did not attempt to contact me via mail or telephone before contacting her, despite the fact that they told her they already had my address and phone number ( all violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ). On XX/XX/18 they called me for the first time but I missed the call. I immediately called them back and after confirming my identity they claimed they were going to transfer me to a representative. After the transfer I was played a message that no representative was available. I called back a second time later and the same thing happened. I called back a third time and they rudely hung up on me. Keep in mind that THEY STILL HAVEN'T TOLD ME WHAT DEBT THEY ARE ATTEMPTING TO COLLECT ( also a violation of the FDCPA ). I called back a final time and told them that I was going to block their number and I did. I also filed a complaint on their website ( http : //www.receivablesperformance.com ) explaining everything that I have explained up to this point and requesting that they confirm the debt in writing as required by law or cease communication. It was at this point that they began to use burner phone numbers in an attempt to circumvent our blocks and continue harassing us after I specifically requested that they either provide written verification of debt or cease communication ( their refusals to do either of these things are also FDCPA violations ). Both my mother and I have now recieved multiple calls from multiple numbers over the past 2 months, all tracing back to RPM in Washington, including : XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX They have still to this day NEVER sent me written notification or verification despite having my address, nor have they ever told me who they claim I owe, or how much. Nothing but constant annoyances bordering on harrassment and intimidation. I believe them to be comitting at least 6 violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( failure to identify themselves, failure to notify in writing, failure to give the name and address of the original creditor, failure to cease communication upon request, communicating with consumer after request for validation has been made, failure to provide verification of debt within 30 days of written request ).

Complaint: According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Section 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ), you are required by federal law to verify - through the physical verification of the original signed consumer contract - any and all accounts you post on a credit report. Otherwise, anyone paying for your reporting services could fax, mail or email in a fraudulent account. I demand to see Verifiable Proof ( an original Consumer Contract with my Signature on it ) you have on file of the accounts listed below. Your failure to positively verify these accounts has hurt my ability to obtain credit. Under the FCRA, unverified accounts must be removed and if you are unable to provide me a copy of verifiable proof, you must remove the accounts listed below.

Attempts to collect debt not owed

Debt collection: I do not know

Debt is not yours
Complaint: A company that would ONLY identify themselves as " Receivables Performance Management '' WILL NOT stop calling TWO of us in this home! They keep asking for a " XXXX '' or " XXXX '' or whoever. They have called SO many times and been SO very abusive that I would honestly like to persue criminal charges and even civil too. The abuse is UNBELIEVABLE! The two odd things are : 1 ) they have TWO of our phone numbers in the same house, asking for the same person ... both of us have explained SEVERAL times we do NOT know her! We have NO debt with them! They get VERY rude and call over and over. I told them I would report to FTC, FCC, here and State Attorney General 's Office, but they laugh and hang up. Guess what? 10 minutes later his phone rings. 30 minutes later, my phone rings. This is not only bad business practice, but this is directly harassment! They will not identify themselves beyond that " company name '', and refuse to remove our numbers. I do not know how calling over and over will help get some XXXX here. PLEASE! HELP US MAKE THEM STOP! Here is the phone number, the same number every time that they call from is : XXXX. My name is XXXX XXXX and my number is XXXX and XXXX XXXX, the other victim of repetitive calls number is XXXX. Address here is XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, VA and zip is XXXX. PLEASE.. we can not deal with this. Our numbers can NOT be changed, and I can not disclose why. I apologize for that. Thank you!

He has called over 4 times that day when I answer they never talk and then hang up ...? Then the next day my XXXX credit report says I have two collection accounts from the same company.this is being disputed now along with the XXXX. Now they are still calling 5 plus times a day but when I answer they just hang up. Also in Florida if I am disputing they are not aloud to call.

Attempts to collect debt not owed

Debt collection: Other debt

Debt is not yours
Complaint: All of a sudden a debt collection showed up on my XXXX and now my XXXX as well original debt collector is XXXX XXXX. I have never had an account w/ XXXX tv in my whole life. In fact a few years back this same debt showed up and was found to be a different XXXX XXXX in a different state and it was cleared up rather quickly. I am fairly certain this is probably the same thing. I have lived in XXXX XXXX NV since 1998 and no other state since ever for the record How are they allowed to put it back on after it was already cleared up? I can't even attach proof because there is none! So by asking them for proof they won't be able to find any and if they find something they will realize it's an error or another person or whatever. This time I tried to call them direct several times and could never get anybody correctly and then was told to dispute w/ the credit bureaus there was nothing they could do?!?! I did dispute w/ the only credit bureau that was showing it at the time XXXX and I just received my results confirmation # XXXX they are reporting that the debt belongs to me and is verified. of course they can not send proof because it is not mine and they are finitely violating my rights and I am sure something in the Fair credit reporting act. The fact that you can't reach anyone and ask for proof is ridiculous!!! I have re disputed it again w/ XXXX and about to start w/ XXXX the new XXXX dispute conf # is XXXX. I have been trying to get a loan for a house and this just set me way back. There should be repercussions for their actions. This is completely absurd and unfair. I have another similar situation I disputed multiple times w/ XXXX XXXX for a medical bill but I have had health insurance and asked for proof and asked the credit bureaus to ask for proof and of course never got anywhere w/ that either. These companies report back " debt verified '' They may honestly think the debt is valid but they should have to prove how. I have always had medical insurance since the day I was born so obviously not mine again. All I was allowed to do was make a consumer statement on my credit report to the bureau but that did not help my credit it basically did nothing. Please help me with these two collections. Please tell me my rights and what I am entitled to do and how to retaliate and get this correct. I would also like to take some sort of action against both as they should not get away w/ this and should be made aware and change their policies of " verifying '' a debt. This is completely unfair to consumers!!! someone told me something about the Burden of Proof in the Fair Credit reporting act years ago. Can we look into all the violations of all the times I requested proof and received nothing and fine them? Seems like that's the only way to get through to unfair practices being done to consumers by companies. Please tell me what disciplinary action is taken against them once I am proven correct. One more thing ... How do I report that these companies owe me money and then when the bureaus ask I will just report back " debt verified '' very generically. I would like to give them a taste of their own medicine! How easy is it for companies to report incorrect information? Seems to me it must be very easy? What kind of compensation can I get from these companies? Home prices are on the rise and I can show proof of my Home loan inquiry and credit score dropping and home prices rising here in XXXX XXXX! Sorry for the long message, so many questions, and all the scenarios. XXXX XXXX XXXX

Debt was paid
Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I switched phone carries from XXXX to XXXX. XXXX paid the rest of my phone and i had some charges left over for accessories that i had. On XX/XX/2018 the rest of the balance owed to XXXX was paid. The check cleared XX/XX/2018. A few months after i started getting calls from a debt collector several times a day but never recieved any mail saying something was owed. I thought it was a scam becuse I paid all my bills. Recently i tried getting a credit card and was denied saying I had something in collections. When i talked to the collections company they said it was for XXXX. I went to XXXX to see why they sent me to collections when I paid the remaining balance on my old account. When i went in store it showed I did pay the remaining balance but in their system it showed that the account was only just cancelled not cancelled in XX/XX/XXXX. Then after about 7 months of my account actually being canceled they charged me for a months bill to a phone that was no longer in service and a phone number they no longer had. I sent a dispute into the collection agency since XXXX said it was out of their hands. I had to send it several times since they kept saying they never got it. When they reviewed my dispute they said it was still due in full. I should not have to pay for something that is not my fault. XXXX made an error which I have proof of and yet the collection agency says i still have to pay.
